I visited during lunchtime, just before closing. There were three menu options:
- Katsu (pork cutlet) straw-grilled salted tataki set for ¥1190
- Chicken thigh straw-grilled teriyaki steak set for ¥990
- Kochi specialty golden fried pork set for ¥890
I chose the signature dish, the katsu. It was incredibly voluminous, with a thick and large cutlet that was about 3cm thick. The aroma of the straw was subtle, and the salt was well balanced. The cutlet was tender and juicy, without any dryness. It was delicious! The cutlet was grilled over straw, giving it a moist texture. It was served with salt, garlic slices, wasabi, green onions, myoga, marinated onions, and shiso leaves as toppings, which is the traditional Tosa style. The set also included rice (free refills), miso soup, salad, and a complimentary dish, which was fried tofu on this day. The ginger-flavored miso-like condiment for rice on the table was a perfect match for the cutlet and meat. Despite arriving just before the last order, the staff greeted me warmly and provided excellent service.

I had the Katsuo no Warayaki Shio Tataki Set (1,100 yen) for lunch. I had a sudden craving for the Katsuo Tataki from the straw-grilled shop, so I decided to visit after a long time, but it was my first time having lunch there. Despite being a chain store, this place is impressive! You can enjoy thick and fresh Katsuo straw-grilled with salt. It's delicious whether you eat it as it is or with condiments. Rice is all-you-can-eat. One thing to note is that the smell of smoke tends to stick quite a bit, so if you're working, you might end up smelling like straw in the afternoon.

First time visiting for lunch. I ordered the straw-grilled set for 1,100 yen. The bonito, coated in oil, had a strong aroma of straw and a thick, meaty texture that filled me up nicely. Adding condiments gave it a refreshing flavor, expanding the enjoyment. The all-you-can-eat rice was much appreciated. The variety of sake was plentiful, making it a great spot for evening drinking parties.

It was a gathering of Kansai workers after a long time. Although the turnout was not great, we had a good time. The bonito sashimi was the first of the year, with a fragrant aroma and thick slices. It was really delicious. Thanks to that, I drank too much on a weekday. Thank you for the meal.

On the first floor of Shiodome Building, there are several dining options for lunch. Although I was tempted by the chicken karaage, I decided to go with the Katsuo no Tataki set meal as I was craving it. The salted Katsuo no Tataki was absolutely delicious, although the portion was a bit small. You can have seconds of rice and miso soup, and there are also toppings available for them. Overall, it was a great value for a tasty lunch.

I visited for lunch on a regular day. I entered the restaurant at 12:45 and told the staff "1 person," and they said, "Please sit at any counter seat you like." I sat at the end of the counter and ordered the "Wara-yaki Katsu Salt Tataki Set" for 1100 yen. First, rice and miso soup were served, and about 5 minutes after ordering, the "Wara-yaki Katsu Salt Tataki Set" was served. The "Wara-yaki Katsu" was thickly sliced into 5 pieces. The staff told me to enjoy it with condiments and salt instead of soy sauce, so I took a thick slice of "Wara-yaki Katsu," added garlic slices, green onions, pickled ginger, wasabi, and salt. The aromatic scent of straw and the deliciously thick and chewy "katsu" spread in my mouth! Eating it with condiments and salt, the scent of straw grilling comes through and it tastes wonderfully delicious. I haven't done any research as usual, but this restaurant near Daimon Station seems to be affiliated with "Warayakiya Ryoma no To," as the lanterns outside are the same. They don't serve lunch there, so it's nice to be able to have a Wara-yaki lunch nearby. Thank you for the meal.

Tokyo, Minato-ku, Kaigan, Izakaya Warayakiya, Shiodome Building 1F, within 5 minutes walk from Hamamatsucho Station North Exit, entered with 3 people. Cheers with a highball (great service, happy). Warayakiya's specialty menu, Katsu Salt Tataki for 1490 yen, is undeniably delicious. The grilled asparagus is also delicious. From Kochi cuisine, the young chicken Kochi Nanbanage and the deep-fried river shrimp are also tasty. The prices are a bit high, but everything is delicious. That's all.

This is a restaurant that serves various dishes from Kochi Prefecture. First, they serve "Bonito Tataki", which is seared over straw. Just looking at it is exciting. And when you actually eat it, oh, it's delicious! The seared flavor, the aroma of the straw, spreads in your mouth. Each slice is thick, allowing you to savor the umami. The Aosa seaweed tempura was chewy and flavorful. You can really taste the seaweed. The sea cucumber, a dish that reflects Kochi's food culture along the Kuroshio Current, has a rich and sticky umami. It feels like it's full of collagen. To pair with these dishes, Kochi's sake is a must! Mutemuka Shuzo is famous for their Dabada Hi Furi, but they also make sake. Oh, a dinner filled with the flavors of Kochi was wonderful! I would love to visit again.

Attended a funeral and on the way back from the crematorium, stopped by Warayakiya Hamamatsucho branch at Shiodome Building 1st floor. Made a reservation for 7pm and the restaurant was empty. They served a vegetable appetizer with one bottle of dip per person, which felt quite luxurious. I even asked the staff if it was really one bottle per person. The main dish, bonito, was grilled the Warayaki way, enhancing its flavor. It paired really well with sake, making me crave more. The photo shows the order for two people, but we were already full after just 8 pieces each. We also ordered chicken and mentaiko, which went well with the sake. It was a satisfying day of drinking after a long time.

I visited this restaurant today based on a recommendation from a friend. I arrived right when they opened, so I was seated quickly. My friend, who is from Kochi, was quite nostalgic about the atmosphere and background music in the restaurant. They recommended the bonito, so I ordered the bonito tasting set. I preferred the grilled bonito over the regular sashimi! It was delicious and I was impressed because it's not something I usually eat. The miso soup and rice were free refills, and they had a variety of dishes like mentaiko, tamagoyaki, eel, chicken, and the famous Kochi-style fried chicken. Everything was delicious, and I left feeling very satisfied. I'll definitely come back in the evening for some sake!笑

Around 1:00 PM on April 7, I visited a restaurant recommended by my senior, who said that the bonito there is delicious. We didn't have a reservation, but we were able to get a table easily. I was considering trying a comparison of different dishes since we were at a bonito restaurant, but I was drawn to the grilled salmon belly, so I ordered the bonito and grilled salmon belly straw-grilled set meal. We tried all the different furikake seasonings available for free. The bonito was really delicious! Honestly, I didn't have high expectations because the restaurant's rating on Tabelog was not very high, but it was tasty. I will definitely visit again!

The bonito straw-grilled dish was really delicious. This time, I tried the meat with a smoky flavor. The vinegared dish with seaweed was tasty. The tofu salad dressing was also good. The final dish, similar to cat food, was quite filling.

Salt-grilled bonito set meal enjoyed with salt! The bonito was quite thick and went well with the rice! The smoky flavor from the charcoal grilling was delicious. You can also change the taste with condiments! The lunch was 1100 yen, so it was quite a good deal. The restaurant is spacious so there was no waiting in line.

The most touching moment was seeing the young female staff working in the dining hall. It was impressive to see how she considered the customer's needs and moved efficiently without any wasted movements. It made me realize that there are such amazing young people working in the food industry, providing excellent service. Personally, I was moved by the service of the dining hall staff, so I decided to leave a positive review this time. The taste of the food was, of course, consistently delicious, and I am grateful for the service provided.

A Tosa cuisine specialty straw-grilled restaurant with locations in Tokyo. There are two stores in Hamamatsucho, in front of the Claire Tower and inside Hama Site Gourmet. They grill each order over a real straw fire, creating an amazing flame. The "Katsuwo no Shiotataki" with the scent of straw and smoke is a popular menu item that you can also enjoy for lunch. It's convenient to find a place where you can have Katsuwo no tataki for lunch. I later found out that this restaurant is part of the DD Holdings group. They also have stores in Ginza and Tamachi, so you can choose based on the area.

I went to Go To Eat. The grilled beef tongue was perfect as a side dish for alcohol and I wanted more. The main dish, bonito straw-grilled, we ordered a large plate for three people. It was so delicious that we could have easily ordered another plate. The bonito miso that came with the appetizer, along with fresh vegetables, was tasty enough to be a snack on its own. I wish we could have ordered more vegetables separately and even bought some as souvenirs to take home. I received points so I will visit again.

I had the opportunity to go to Tokyo for business and decided to visit a restaurant near Hamamatsucho. It's located just a short walk from the station, making it very convenient. The food was delicious. The bonito sashimi was thick and tasty. I really enjoyed the thickness of it. I also had salad, fried dishes, mackerel sushi, and sherbet, and I was very satisfied. The grilled mackerel sushi had a delicious flavor. Inside the restaurant, you can see the chefs preparing dishes in a big hearth, giving it a charming atmosphere. Thank you for the meal. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

This is a yakitori restaurant located in the Shiodome Building near Hamamatsucho Station. It is popular, so the bonito may sell out during lunchtime, so it's best to go early. The bonito is thickly sliced, without any fishy smell, and delicious. It's a good choice for a slightly luxurious lunch. I definitely want to go back again.

I went to a Tosa cuisine izakaya called "Warayakiya Hamamatsucho" located in a building near JR Hamamatsucho Station. I ordered the following dishes: Direct Seven Squash, Bonito Warayaki Salt Tataki, Tempura with Green Seaweed, Warayaki Chicken Breast Salad, Asparagus Warayaki, Deep-Fried Kibinago, Yuzu Miso Grilled Bamboo Shoot, YTKG, and Miso Soup with Green Seaweed. The Direct Seven Squash is a citrus squash made with Direct Seven, which has a soft acidity and a refreshing taste. The Bonito Warayaki Salt Tataki, the most popular dish, has a deliciously fatty bonito with a fragrant aroma from the straw grilling process and a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The Tempura with Green Seaweed was my favorite, with a strong seaweed flavor and a crispy texture. The Warayaki Chicken Breast Salad features grilled chicken breast on a generous salad with a refreshing oil-based dressing. The Asparagus Warayaki has a juicy and crunchy texture with a delicious smoky flavor. The YTKG (Tosa Chicken Egg Rice Bowl) uses Tosa chicken eggs for a light and refreshing taste, complemented by the sweetness of the yolk and the addition of yuzu pepper.

Hamasaite Gourmet Lunch Walk Vol.12
Located a 2-minute walk from the north exit of Hamamatsucho Station, the Shiodome Building is home to about 17 dining establishments, including Hamasaite Gourmet. On the first floor is an izakaya known for its bonito tataki. I visited for lunch on a weekday. There is another grilled fish restaurant near Hamamatsucho, but only this one offers lunch. While they also have meat dishes, I decided to go for the bonito tataki set meal (1,190 yen).
[Bonito Tataki Set Meal (1,190 yen)]
The dish arrived about 6 minutes after ordering. Let's dig in. The bonito slices are thickly cut and come in a serving of 6 pieces. The thickness of the slices gives them a chewy texture. It's no surprise that this is their signature dish; it's really delicious. Accompanied by condiments like Myoga and wasabi, the bonito with salt goes well with the rice. The salad that came out first was mediocre, and the miso soup felt like instant, so I thought 1,190 yen was a bit expensive, but the bonito was a standout and left me feeling satisfied after the meal.
Having bonito tataki for lunch is a nice change of pace. Thank you for the meal.

I went with my colleagues from work. The concept of the restaurant is based on Kochi Prefecture, with various items from Kochi displayed. The staff also sing, which adds to the atmosphere. I didn't have high expectations for a chain restaurant, but the food was delicious. The bonito was thick-cut and fresh, and the Utsubo (moray eel) tataki was very tasty with a nice oily texture. We ordered a variety of dishes and everything was delicious. The sake selection was also extensive, making it a place I would like to visit again.
