There are many nice restaurants around here, so I had a hard time deciding where to go, but I wanted something hearty so I chose this place. It was a Saturday afternoon around 1 pm, and there were about 7-8 groups waiting, but I was seated in about 15 minutes. The yakiniku set meal for 1100 yen was a great deal. The BBQ lunch costs 1100 yen and comes with plenty of meat and rice. For those who want more meat, there's a large portion option for 1530 yen. But even the regular lunch portion is quite filling! I always add liver because I can't resist it. You can add liver for 950 yen here. They also have a liver set for lunch at 1320 yen, but I always end up ordering extra meat because I want both. The quality of the meat is great and the price is very reasonable. The sauce is not too sweet, a bit spicy, and refreshing, so you can enjoy it until the end without getting tired of it. It gets really crowded on weekends, but I highly recommend it!

Among these, the loin was the best, but overall it was neither good nor bad. When I ordered Sangchu, Sunny lettuce came out. The lunch set was very cost-effective. The taste was good, so I want to go again. Next time, I heard they have a manga-sized portion, so I want to try ordering the large rice portion.

Kyoseien is always very busy, especially during Golden Week. I was very satisfied with the large portion of meat in the lunch BBQ set. The staff at Coco are always smiling even though they are busy, which makes me want to come back again. It must be thanks to the mother's upbringing. Lastly, they even gave my daughter some pickles, which was a very thoughtful gesture.

As a backup plan, I headed to Hanajuban Jiyugaoka, a newly relocated store. However, I noticed that there was also a line forming at the 2nd floor store with customers entering one after another, so I checked the time and saw that it was just past 11:30. I wondered if the line I left at Kyoseien was actually for the store opening. So, at around 11:40, I decided to try entering Kyoseien again. As expected, the line had shortened to about 6 people from the store entrance to the landing of the stairs. After signing up for a table, I waited for about 7-8 minutes to be seated. About 15 minutes after joining the line, I was finally seated. It had been 6 and a half years since my last visit in 2016. I ordered the BBQ lunch (large portion) for 1,430 yen. I was served with a pot of oolong tea and accompanying kimchi, followed by the BBQ lunch. The default gas heat setting of the roaster was very strong, so I had to adjust it to prevent the meat from burning. The pieces of BBQ meat were thin slices, almost like scraps, and while the portion was indeed large, I was unsure if it was worth the price. The rice portion was generous and I was worried if I could finish it all, but with the help of the sauce, I managed to eat it all. I wished the BBQ meat pieces were a bit thicker, but considering the price, maybe this was to be expected. Thank you for the meal.

So, I changed my plans and rushed to the restaurant. Turns out, I was the only solo diner. The food was even more delicious than I expected! The atmosphere was totally fine for dining alone. I realized that it's possible to go solo, but there is a certain way to do it. I'm glad I made the effort to come to this restaurant. The sauce was light and not too garlicky overall. Eating while watching the meat cook in front of you is truly appetizing.
