I have been here before, but it was my first time having lunch. By the time it was past 12 o'clock, the restaurant was already full. I wanted to have C's small tendon-don with soba, but they were sold out, so I ended up ordering A's daily special rice with salad and soba. The daily special rice was rice with pickled mustard greens and baby sardines. The soba was very thin and chewy. When I asked the staff, they said it was made from a mix of 20% wheat flour and 80% buckwheat flour. It was easy to eat and I liked the taste. The soba at Tanakaya is really good, and I think they must use high-quality soba flour. They grind it with a stone mill, which got me excited. I would like to visit for dinner next time! I also want to come back for lunch again. Thank you for the meal! A set ¥950

I found a stylish soba restaurant in a hard-to-find location one street off the main road! I visited for lunch and ordered the lunch set for 1,030 yen with a large serving for an additional 500 yen. The soba was smooth and refreshing, with a nice texture, and the pork bowl had a gentle flavor. The interior of the restaurant was clean and cozy! Next time, I would like to try the set with the limited edition tempura bowl♪ The soba in the set is a small portion, so for men or those with a big appetite, ordering a large serving would be just right.

The soba was delicious, but the rice was also tasty and impressive. I wanted to add onigiri or something, but it wasn't on the menu, which was disappointing. However, it was really delicious! The staff were kind, with a gentle demeanor, and the atmosphere was calm and comfortable. I want to go back again.

I visited this place once a long time ago, so it feels like my first time here. Today, I ordered the zaru soba for 880 yen. The soba noodles are quite thin, with a good texture. Personally, I prefer them a bit thicker and more drained. The soba broth is light, but I prefer it a bit thicker. The portion size for the price of 880 yen is reasonable for a soba restaurant in Tokyo. Overall, it was a decent meal.

When I was on a business trip to Itabashi, I visited a cozy and quiet soba restaurant located in a small alley just off Yamanote Street. Even though it was slightly past 12 o'clock, the place was already quite full with about 70-80% of the customers (with more waiting). I ordered the limited 5-dish mini tendon set with salad and soba (hot/cold). I chose the cold soba. The soba was delicate and slender with a firm texture, and the dipping sauce was slightly spicy. The tempura was crispy and not soaked in the sauce, which I appreciated. All this for only 1020 yen. The price was great and the food was delicious. I will definitely visit this place again if I have work nearby.

Located near the Oyama-Ikebukuro City Hall Station, this restaurant is a bit off the main shopping area. Despite being in the Oyama shopping street, it has a very pleasant atmosphere and is a nice place to enjoy a drink at night. For lunch, they offer a choice of three types of soba sets: shirasu-don, butadon, tendon, and you can mix and match with rice dishes. I had the shirasu and takana-don with mori soba set for 920 yen. The soba is hand-cut and served in thin slices, giving it a soft texture. When dipped in the slightly spicy broth, the aroma of the soba combines well with the flavor of the broth, creating a delicious combination. Eating the rice dishes in between adds a kick of spice from the takana and a savory taste from the shirasu, providing a satisfying meal that makes you crave more soba. I quickly finished my meal in this loop. This is a great place to enjoy soba in Oyama. They also serve a delicious shabu-shabu with branded pork at night. Thank you for the meal.

I went to this restaurant based on the good reviews on Tabelog. It was a bit of a walk from Oyama. The interior of the restaurant is calming with a wooden design, and the chairs are comfortable. I ordered the "tenseiro" soba in a large portion for 1960 yen. The noodles are thin and not too sticky. The flavor of the soba itself is good. The dipping sauce is quite flavorful, so it's better not to use too much. The large shrimp tempura was delicious. Although I chose a pricey menu item, they also have lunch options for around 1000 yen. Oyama has many soba restaurants, and I would like to visit others as well.

I discovered this restaurant by chance while passing by, and since it was about to open in 5 minutes, I decided to wait. I was the first customer and ordered Lunch Set C, which was served in just 8 minutes. The soba noodles were surprisingly thin...almost like vermicelli! Could they be mass-produced by a machine? However, they had a good texture and aroma of soba. The tempura was not skimped on either, with thick shrimp that were definitely not just a side dish. I think I want to try their warm soba noodles next time.

I haven't logged about Tanakaya in a while since I tend to not log about places I frequent often (it would be a lot to keep up with). I always appreciate their service. I've tried all the lunch options, but my favorite is Option A because the rice changes. This day, it was topped with grated yam. The yam had a rich flavor and was delicious on its own. The salad dressing also varies day by day. On this day, it was lemon, but sometimes it's sesame. I wonder if there are other options? I appreciate these minor changes that keep things interesting each time I visit. However, the deliciousness of the soba noodles remains consistent. I really enjoy the delicate texture and smoothness of their soba noodles. I hope this place stays the same because it's so good. It's convenient that they now accept mobile payments. Recently, the atmosphere inside the restaurant has been calm and peaceful, possibly due to the pandemic, making it a comfortable and relaxing place to spend time.

In the PayPay campaign in Itabashi Ward, if you pay with PayPay at registered stores until the end of November, 20% of the amount will be refunded. I visited this restaurant for the first time, which I had wanted to visit for a while. The entrance is quite chic and not very eye-catching, but the bright green noren curtain catches your eye. The last order for lunch was at 13:20, so I arrived just in time. There were not many customers, but the interior of the restaurant was surprisingly nice and my mood lifted. I was seated at a table for two by the wall, which was one step higher than the floor, and the atmosphere was very calming. I hesitated with the menu and chose the A lunch set. It came with soba, salad, and chicken rice. The amount of soba was small, but it was finely cut and had a good texture. Honestly, I wanted to eat more! Next time, I want to try the large serving of soba and have tempura. The landlady's service was also very warm and kind.

The soba restaurant here is such a great deal, not even reaching 2,000 yen for two people with soba and beer. Compared to the soba place in Ikebukuro underground that I usually go to, this one is much more delicious. The shiitake mushrooms are thick and tender, and the shrimp is big and firm. The aroma of the soba is outstanding. The restroom is very clean. There is nothing disappointing about this place.

I usually go for the lunch special which includes a small tendon bowl and zaru soba for 1000 yen. The restaurant is mainly open for dinner and has a spacious atmosphere with plenty of seating. The soba noodles are thin but have a nice firm texture, and the more you eat, the more you crave. The tempura in the tendon bowl is crispy and elegant. I definitely want to go back.

I learned about this restaurant from a gourmet celebrity, Mr. Kawai's review. I know a few Tanakaya shops in the area, but I really didn't know about this one just around the corner from Deny's. I often pass by this way on weekends while shopping. I read about the "Tanakaya Association" in Itabashi TIMES before, but it doesn't seem directly related, but I'm curious to know more about the lineage, origin, and relationship of Tanakaya in Itabashi. One day, I visited for the first time at lunch. It has a slightly different chic atmosphere from the known Tanakaya. Well, I prefer the normal soba restaurant at the known shop, but I think it would appeal to women. By the way, when I visited, all the other customers were women. I ordered the B set with small pork bowl, soba, and salad for 980 yen. It was served in about 5-6 minutes after ordering, quite fast. The salad with a strong acidity may vary depending on personal preference with this combination. I found it surprisingly okay with a refreshing mouthfeel. The soba is thin, probably a mixture of 20% wheat flour and 80% buckwheat flour, and the dipping sauce is unexpectedly sweet compared to the image of the known Tanakaya. Dip it generously and enjoy. It's not bad, and I found it delicious. The small pork bowl is served with refreshing pork belly simmered on hot rice with pickled ginger on top. It was quite delicious. I finished it in one go. However, the overall portion is refined, so men might get hungry quite quickly. As a lunch town soba, I was quite satisfied. A comprehensive rating of over 3.5 seems appropriate, but I may need to try more to confirm, but I thought it was a pretty good soba shop. I will visit again. Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant is a traditional establishment that has been passed down for three generations. It has a stylish atmosphere reminiscent of a small Japanese izakaya, with a cozy private room featuring a bright red table that exudes a sense of history. The meal started with umesuika (plum wine), followed by a delicious array of dishes including duck salad, duck stew, grilled duck, tempura, pickled rakkyo (Japanese scallions), and soba miso. Each dish was exquisite. We enjoyed a variety of drinks, starting with draft beer, then moving on to smooth sake, and finishing with sobayu (hot soba water) mixed with sake. To wrap up the night, we had a serving of mixed soba noodles, and I personally enjoyed the kakesoba (soba noodles served in hot broth) to warm up. Everything was delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

All the dishes on the course menu are delicious, but the standout is the soba noodles. I think this restaurant is also suitable for business entertaining.

The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious! The only downside was that the service was slow, and by the time something came out, I had already drunk too much and gotten drunk...
