Tamago sand (6 slices) 849 yen
I often buy this tamago sand as a souvenir. Today, I decided to buy one for myself! It sometimes runs out, so I recommend making a reservation ⭐️
The taste of Kansai-style, not too sweet dashi tamagoyaki, combined with a subtly fragrant mustard mayo sauce, is irresistible ⭐️
Overall, it is perfect as a souvenir, but there are some things to be aware of:
1. It doesn't have preservatives, so it doesn't last long.
2. It is light, so it won't fill you up.
3. Sometimes you need to make a reservation to buy it.
With these precautions, it's a great souvenir that everyone will enjoy♪

My wife bought me a souvenir. Egg sandwich, 12 pieces (1,210 yen). The Japanese-style dashi egg omelette with a hint of mustard sandwich surprisingly goes well together. We devoured 6 pieces in no time. It's not cheap at 100 yen per small sandwich, but I would love to have it again. Thank you for the meal.

Half size 6-piece set for 721 yen ✨ This shop, located in Osaka's Soemon-cho area since its opening, has been popular among Kabuki actors, Bunraku puppeteers, doctors, comedians, and others. It has been available in Tokyo since 2002. When trying the tamago sandwich, you will find it easy to eat with its bite-size pieces. It is made with an original recipe by the landlady of Tennoya, using plenty of Kansai-style dashi in the dashimaki tamago and a mayonnaise sauce with a hint of mustard that goes perfectly together! The tamago and bread are both fluffy and have a delightful texture ✨ Highly recommended as a souvenir or snack. Thank you for the meal.

I really like the egg sandwich here. The bread is moist and very delicious, and the egg is amazing. It's the best sandwich. The egg is very delicious. The egg inside is very special, has a rich flavor, and is a delicious sandwich.

I purchased a full-size sandwich for takeout at 1209 yen and regretted it because it has over 800 calories. The mustard flavor is stronger than I expected, but the bread and eggs are delicious, so I can't stop eating it. It's a sandwich with a lot of moisture, so even if you're not good at chewing, it's okay.

This shop is a long-established sweet shop in Azabu-Juban where the popular "Tamago Sand" can be enjoyed for takeout. There are two sizes available:
- Regular size (12 pieces): 1,210 yen
- Half size (6 pieces): 721 yen
Although the cost performance is not great, I like it so I use it quite often. This time, it was late and the regular size was sold out, so I had to settle for the half size. The moist bread with spicy mayo and fluffy thick-cooked egg, which is slightly sweet with a Kansai-style dashi flavor, was well-balanced in terms of the thickness and softness of the egg and bread, making it easy to eat quickly. I finished it in less than 5 minutes and regretted not trying the freshly made one at the main store.

I visited Shibuya for some errands and decided to explore the city a bit. Shibuya was the first place I set foot in when I first came to Tokyo. It has been over thirty years since then, and now I feel like this might be my last visit to Shibuya. When I first moved to Tokyo, I used to come to Shibuya every day, even without any specific reason. I was aiming to become a musician, so I used to visit record stores like "Hunter" and "Disk Union" to buy a lot of second-hand LPs. However, my interest in Shibuya faded in my late twenties, especially with the presence of street fashion tribes like gyaru and yamanba. Despite that, I used to come here every day without getting bored. Shibuya holds many memories for me, but there are still places I haven't been to, like the Seibu Shibuya A Building B1 Seibu Food Store, where I bought a Tamago Sando (egg sandwich) from "Tennoya." Tennoya is an old establishment founded in 1927 in Osaka, which later moved to Azabu-Juban in 2002. One of their specialties is the Tamago Sando, which is the landlady's original creation. The sandwich features a delicious mayonnaise sauce with mustard and a simple filling of rolled omelette. Although it's not cheap at 721 yen for a half-size, it's definitely worth a try. Enjoy!

I received a gift from someone. They chose it for me because they know I like egg dishes. The dashimaki tamago they gave me was of high quality, even when cold it was delicious. The mustard sandwich bread was also fluffy and not soggy. The quality of this gift is amazing. I'm happy to receive it and I will definitely pass on the happiness to someone else next time. Thank you for the meal!

12 pieces x 2, sweet and spicy with a hint of mustard. Even if you close your eyes while eating, you can tell it's Tennoya, my favorite taste. When I start to get tired of it, I like to change the flavor with Tabasco or extra mayonnaise. The eggs have a lot of moisture, so they are best enjoyed today!

The wasabi mayonnaise has a sharp kick to it that is delicious. Luckily, there was a half-size left around 6:30 on Monday, so I decided to buy it. The bread was moist and fluffy, but to be honest, the rolled omelette didn't leave much of an impression.

I love the tamago sandwich from Amanoya the most, but I am disappointed that the number of stores has decreased. I used to always buy it in Shinjuku, so I hope they open a new store there again.

The mustard flavor is strong and very delicious (^^♪ It seems like it would be good as a drinking snack, but because it's mustard, it might be a little too strong for children as a souvenir.

Quite impressive! This is not your average egg sandwich that you've had before. You should definitely try it at least once.

I visited Shibusei (Shibuya Seibu) based on their opening hours, as I heard they sell out in the morning. I went on a weekday, which I highly recommend. The egg sandwich had a nice touch of spicy mayonnaise, which I enjoy. While it was delicious, there are many other tasty egg sandwiches out there, so it doesn't stand out significantly. However, if you were to give it to someone, they would likely appreciate it. The main branch in Azabu-Juban apparently requires reservations.

The tamagoyaki sandwich with dashi made by Tennoya Amamido, located in Asakusa, is delicious. However, I found that the taste varies depending on the store, with the main store being clearly more delicious. The fluffy texture of the dashimaki is different from the main store. It tastes more like pre-made tamagoyaki with less dashi flavor. The mustard flavor is too strong and it can be a bit overwhelming. Sorry for the harsh comment. If you're going to buy, I highly recommend the main store for takeout.

I used this place in April 2017. It is a popular egg sandwich shop in Azabu-Juban where you can easily buy their sandwiches. The Seibu Shibuya department store basement is not very spacious, and the store is not very noticeable, so it took some time to find it. Perhaps because it was a weekday, both the regular size and half size sandwiches were still available. This time, I decided to try the half size sandwich. I enjoyed it with my husband at the seating area. The "Tennoya Tamago Sand" half size is 700 yen, and it consists of six small and elegant egg sandwiches. The egg omelette is lightly sweetened and has a light color. It is spread with mustard mayonnaise, which adds a nice touch to the flavor. While the first one or two sandwiches were delicious, I found the taste a bit too simple and got a little tired of it. The egg omelette has a strong dashi flavor, which personally is not my preference, so I was a bit disappointed. Also, the egg omelette is a bit heavy, so if you eat several of them, you might feel fuller than expected. If I had eaten a whole box of the regular size sandwiches alone, it would have been quite challenging for me. I noticed a sign saying that the sandwiches were made under Tennoya's guidance, so the sandwiches at the main store might have a slightly different taste. Based on this experience, I may not revisit this branch, but I would like to visit the main store in the future.

I happened to come across Tennoya in the food section of Shibuya Seibu Department Store A building's basement. I had never been able to find a good egg sandwich before, but luckily I found one here. It seemed quite popular as there were only 2 half-size sandwiches left. Without hesitation, I bought one. The egg sandwich had a vibrant yellow color and the egg was thick and fluffy. It was a Kansai-style egg sandwich with a strong mustard kick, which I really enjoyed. I didn't have a place to eat it, so I ended up using a nearby internet cafe for a short time. I didn't expect to be able to eat it there, but it worked out well. The price was a bit high, but I was satisfied as I had been wanting to try it.
