I had a job nearby so I checked out this place. I arrived at the store around 11:10 on a weekday and I was the first customer. I ordered the "Pork Bowl (Regular) Belly (850 yen)". It took about 10 minutes for the food to be served, as they grill the meat over charcoal, creating a fragrant aroma. The bowl was topped with plenty of pork belly slices and chopped nori. The pork belly slices were thick, tender, and juicy, with about 10 slices in total, providing a satisfying meal. The sweetness of the fat was balanced perfectly with the pork belly. The seasoning was a soy-based sauce that was sweet and savory, enhancing the flavor of the dish. I added some sansho pepper and shichimi chili pepper halfway through, and the sansho pepper paired well with the sweet and savory sauce. The side pickles served as a nice palate cleanser. The location of the restaurant may be a bit hard to find, but I highly recommend it. Thank you for the meal!

The meat and sauce are delicious. If miso soup is included instead of being an extra charge, I would definitely come back again.

The restaurant next to the standing udon famous Oniyanma, located on the 1st floor of the building where Pronto is located, is bustling with customers. The shop has only an L-shaped counter, and is run by one chef. There were about three regular customers when my friend and I visited. The drink options include beer, sake, and shochu (barley or sweet potato) for 550 yen. The first dish served was fugu skin, which was a delightful appetizer. The menu had a wide variety of options, including fish and chicken dishes. We tried the following dishes: - Yakitori: liver, thigh, and tsukune for 180 yen each. Thigh was salt-grilled, tsukune was grilled with sauce, and liver was also grilled with sauce. The liver was said to contain a precious part, but I forgot which part it was. Nevertheless, it was delicious. - Boiled octopus for 750 yen: The octopus was cut into easy-to-eat pieces and was tender and tasty. - Chicken Karaage for 800 yen: We ordered this dish after seeing a regular customer next to us enjoying it. It had a homely taste and was delicious. - Kalbi Kuppa: As we were debating whether to order Kalbi ramen, the chef recommended Kalbi Kuppa, which turned out to be a large portion with rice, eggs, leeks, and thick-cut Kalbi. It was delicious and satisfying. We also considered trying the solo hot pot, sukiyaki, sashimi, and simmered fish. The total bill came out to be around 4000 yen per person after enjoying endless rounds of shochu on the rocks. The closing time was uncertain, but the chef mentioned that they would keep the restaurant open if there were customers. It's a welcoming place for solo diners, and I would love to visit again.

I heard that there is a small shop called "Sanhiro-Tei" in front of the Ramen Kairikiya Gotanda store at the west exit of Gotanda Station, on the Ikegami Line, which serves pork bowls during lunchtime. This is a counter seat izakaya. Inside, the handwritten menu catches the eye, but this is the evening menu. The lunch menu consists of "Pork Bowl (Pork Belly 850 yen)" and "Pork Rice Bowl (Pork Loin 1100 yen)". When I ordered the "Pork Bowl", the meat was seared and served. The meat was large and the sauce was delicious. However, the rice portion was a bit small. I felt that it was more refined compared to the "Golden Pork Pork Bowl". If you want a hearty meal, I think the Golden Pork version might be better.

Draft beer, blowfish skin, bonito sashimi, barley shochu bottle, sparkling water, simmered flounder, white miso soup, all from February 2017. The sake was Hakkaisan, the appetizer was spear squid, and the specialty dish was young conger eel. The young conger eel, resembling wide, transparent noodles, was the highlight of spring flavors. The meal was enjoyed with Hakkaisan sake. The counter was full, and I had a variety of dishes such as draft beer, seaweed appetizer, barley shochu, assorted sashimi, blowfish fin sake, boiled red clam, simmered beans, and more. The chef runs a cozy counter-only restaurant with great value and delicious food. The pork bowl for lunch was especially delicious, with thick slices of pork belly in a sweet and savory sauce. The miso soup with vegetables and fried tofu, as well as the coleslaw, were also very tasty. The next time, I will try the pork bowl with pork loin. Overall, the food was delicious and I have been a regular customer since being recommended by another diner. I love Japanese food and am always drawn to the flavors of soy sauce in Japanese cuisine. The recommended dishes include various appetizers, sashimi, simmered fish, grilled fish, fried tofu, teriyaki chicken, scallop spring rolls, mountain vegetables with raw egg, and sweet potato tempura.

On Monday afternoon, I was in the mood for pork. So, I visited "Sanhiroten," a quiet restaurant tucked away behind a mixed-use building in Nishi-Gotanda. The interior had only counter seats, and there were not many customers, probably due to the location. I sat at the counter and checked the menu. There were two choices for lunch, both pork-based. I couldn't decide, but this time I chose the "Pork Bowl" (850 yen) and added the "Set" (150 yen) which came with miso soup, pickles, and coleslaw. After a while, the eagerly awaited pork arrived with a satisfying taste. The portion of meat was decent. The coleslaw had a homemade feel and was quite good. If I have the chance next time, I would like to try the pork at night.

Every time I go to Tenam, I see a sign at the entrance of a building that says "Pork bowl 850 yen, Behind the building, Sanhotei." I always wondered what it was, so I decided to check it out. Although on Tabelog it says they are only open at night, it seems like they are now open for lunch as well. Inside the restaurant, there was the chef and two other customers. They had pork bowl, pork set meal, and strangely, bibimbap on the menu, but I opted for the pork bowl. The server asked if I wanted any extras, and when I looked at the menu, I saw that you could order miso soup or kimchi separately for an additional charge. I decided to add miso soup for 100 yen. In the kitchen, there was a menu for the night with various dishes that seemed like they would go well with some drinks. Looking to the right, I saw a large wooden board with "Noodles, Sanhotei" written on it. The pork bowl arrived in about 7 minutes. I took a bite and found it tasty, but the sweetness of the sauce was a bit overpowering. The pork itself was decently good, but the sauce made it feel a bit like a cheap chain restaurant. The miso soup was delicious, but for 100 yen, it felt a bit lacking in portion. I might come back to try the bibimbap someday. Thank you for the meal.

This time, I visited "Sanhotei" near Gotanda Station. These days, I have been enjoying my daily routine of exploring different food places. Today, I decided to have lunch at a good time, so I checked out restaurants around Gotanda and came across Sanhotei. It was a nice day with a bit of breeze, and the business seemed to be going well. I decided to try new flavors while going around different shops, and ordered the pork bowl (with top belly meat) and miso soup this time. After a short wait, the dishes I ordered arrived. The appearance and the aroma of the dishes made my mouth water. I couldn't resist and started eating right away. The sweet and savory sauce of the pork bowl was delicious, and my hunger was quickly satisfied as I enjoyed the meal. Before I knew it, I had finished every last bite. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and in a good mood. Since my job requires physical strength, I always make sure not to skip meals. The pork bowl and miso soup I had this time were a delicious lunch that left me satisfied. I thought about sharing this experience with my colleagues and clients. Thank you for the meal!

I have been regularly visiting this shop for the past two years. The shop has a counter seating only, with a TV, and has the atmosphere of a typical local drinking establishment. Despite the small space, the shop feels clean and the recommended dishes are written by the master with a brush, which I believe are changed daily. The food mainly consists of Japanese dishes, all freshly made with high-quality ingredients. Yesterday, I had steamed oysters and blowfish skin, which were delicious. The variety of alcohol may not be extensive, so those who are particular about brands may find it lacking, but they offer beer, wine, shochu, and sake. Although I have never tried it, the noodle soup and pork cutlet rice bowl for the finale look incredibly delicious.

There is a small izakaya behind Gotanda Pronto where lunch refugees find refuge after being turned away by the nearby ramen shop. The menu is limited to just one item - pork bowl. The chef, a seemingly traditional figure, runs the place single-handedly at the counter. You can see the pork being prepared right in front of you, with thick slices reminiscent of samgyeopsal. The standout feature of this dish is the sauce, similar to that of an eel bowl, which pairs perfectly with the accompanying sansho pepper on the table. The chef even recommended using a generous amount of the pepper, which elevated the dish to a whole new level. This pork bowl might just become your new addiction.
