Musashino City, Tokyo, Kichijoji Honcho. A popular Thai restaurant in Kichijoji. Opened in June 2008. Operated by "Krua Siam" Jiyugaoka branch and 7 other stores, "Old Thailand" with 3 stores, "Thai Cooking Institute" with 3 stores, and a company specializing in Thai cuisine called "SUU・SUU・CHAIYOO". They also have a sister store in Bangkok. The nearest station is Kichijoji Station on the Chuo/Sobu Line and Keio Inokashira Line. I think it's a first-class Thai restaurant♪︎ ✧٩(。•̀ᴗ-)人(-ᴗ´•。)۶✧ By the way, the name of the restaurant "Krua" means ancient capital or tradition, and "Siam" is the old name for Thailand. For us Japanese, "Siamese" might sound better. When you put them together, "Krua Siam" means "traditional Thai". I visited for lunch around 11 am on a weekday. It's been 5 years since I last visited the Kichijoji store. The restaurant is located underground, and when I entered, it was almost full. Since I was alone, I was seated at the counter. Shortly after, it became fully booked, with a waiting line forming outside the entrance. It's definitely a popular restaurant(o^-')b! There were 4-5 staff members, a mix of Thai and Japanese. Thai language is heard throughout the restaurant. There are many female customers, and quite a few solo diners as well. The chic interior creates a calm atmosphere. The complimentary drink is Thai tea. You order verbally and pay afterwards, with table service φ(..)◆Today's Order◆Yam Wun Sen Set 1200 yenTom Yum Soup, Fresh Spring Rolls included. I love this soup from the Krua Siam series( ̄¬ ̄) Yam Wun Sen, a Thai vermicelli salad. The vermicelli made from mung beans is chewy(´ 3`) The dish includes shrimp, squid, minced chicken, wood ear mushrooms, celery, early red cabbage, peanuts, cherry tomatoes, scallions, cilantro, etc. The seasoning is just right with a good balance of spiciness and sourness, perfect with rice( ̄* ̄) You can adjust the flavor to your liking using Kruang Pong (Kruang Plu) in the middle of the meal (just ask the staff to bring it). I prefer a stronger sour taste, so I add a lot of Nam Som Phrik (vinegar with chili). I also sprinkle some lemon and chili-infused fish sauce on top♪︎ I am very satisfied with Krua Siam. Both the taste and the service/atmosphere are top-notch for a Thai restaurant. It may be slightly more expensive than local Thai restaurants, but you can enjoy authentic Thai cuisine here♪︎✧٩(ˊωˋ*)و✧ #Komusubi #Thai cuisine #Popular restaurant #Krua Siam #Restaurant located underground #Authentic atmosphere #Sister store in Bangkok #Curry #Cilantro dishes #Takeout #Cashless payment available #Very high likelihood of revisiting #No entry restrictions for Thailand from October 1st ===========
