While strolling around Kichijoji, my wife and I were getting hungry for lunch. She mentioned she wanted to eat Thai food, so we decided to visit Khun Saiam. I had been there once before, many years ago, before food review websites like Tabelog existed. The lunch menu includes dishes like fresh spring rolls and soup, ranging from around 1,300 to 1,400 yen. Personally, I found the prices slightly on the higher side, but considering the recent increase in prices, it may be the norm for this type of ethnic restaurant in town. We were quite hungry, so we ordered three lunch sets for the two of us. We had Pad Thai, Tom Yum Kung Noodles, and Khao Soi (which we added later). The Pad Thai had a slightly sweet flavor, but it wasn't overpowering, and adding fish sauce and vinegar from the condiments on the table balanced out the sweetness. The Tom Yum Kung Noodles had a spicy and sour soup, which my wife enjoyed. I prefer Chinese noodles over rice noodles, but the flavorful soup made the dish enjoyable overall. The Khao Soi, which we requested extra spicy, had a rich and curry-like flavor, reminiscent of Chiang Mai's Khao Soi. It was incredibly delicious, although the noodles were a bit soft. Next time, I'd like to try ordering them firmer. Despite feeling quite full after sharing three lunch sets between the two of us, we left with a great impression of the restaurant. I definitely want to come back again. Thank you for the meal!

Khun Siam is a popular restaurant where people always line up to the stairs, but this time we were able to get in without waiting for a late weekend lunch. The food was served quickly and the staff were efficient, so I think the turnover for lunch is good. We ordered the following for 2 people: 1) Pad Thai (with soup and fresh spring rolls) ¥1280 2) Khutieo Tom Yum (with fresh spring rolls) ¥1280 3) Mini Gapao ¥380 The Pad Thai was a bit sweet when eaten as is, but squeezing lemon over it added a refreshing acidity, making it even more delicious. The Tom Yum Kung had plump shrimp and crisp vegetables, very tasty. The Gapao was spicy and well-seasoned, just right! Perhaps due to the location in Kichijoji, the prices are a bit on the higher side, but the food is delicious, so it's a place I would like to visit again. They will be relocating in October, so I have included an image of the notice for reference.

Around 14:15, the restaurant was full, but we were able to get a table in about 5 minutes. This popular Thai restaurant in Kichijoji has a cute interior that is very nice! The complimentary fresh spring rolls were delicious!! Here are the items we ordered and our thoughts: - Yellow Curry for 1400 yen each (comes with Tom Yum Kung soup) • The crunchy texture of the vegetables is good • The egg was cooked just right • Plenty of shrimp and other ingredients, which is good • The Tom Yum Kung soup was also delicious - Khao Soi for 1300 yen each • The crispy noodles, noodles, and soup were well-balanced • The soup was flavorful • The ginger on top was nice • It was also delicious with rice added Thank you for the delicious meal!

The Pad Krapow is delicious, but it is extremely spicy. The garlic flavor is strong, and if the spiciness was a bit milder, it would be my favorite Pad Krapow. I struggled to eat it because it was too spicy, even though I tried to avoid the chili peppers. The soup that came with the lunch was supposed to be non-spicy, but it turned out to be quite spicy, which was confusing. Kichijoji is still the same nostalgic place.

I happened to pass by this shop on my way back from shopping, and since I had wanted to try it for a while, I entered without hesitation. Even though it was just the start of lunchtime, the shop was almost full. I was lucky to get a seat. I ordered the Senlek Nam, which is a light dish. I was served the spring rolls first as part of the set, and they were unexpectedly delicious, making me want to order them separately. Then the soup noodles arrived promptly. The flavorful light soup, noodles, and toppings were all well-balanced and enhanced the deliciousness. The prices were reasonable. It felt like the taste of authentic Thai cuisine. I would like to come back again.

I went for lunch on a regular day and it was quite crowded. Since I was alone, I was seated at the counter without having to wait. I ordered Thai noodle soup and it arrived promptly. I paid on the spot and was able to use PayPay. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great with Thai language being spoken. The prices were average for a Thai restaurant. I would definitely like to go back to this place!

Visited on a Sunday night and it was almost full. Good thing I made a reservation... Ordered the Gapao, Khao Man Gai, and Sen Lek Nam. Added soft shrimp and chicken as extras. The Gapao was quite spicy. Even though I was sweating while eating, the soft shrimp was delicious with lots of garlic. I couldn't figure out why it was so spicy, but I ended up finishing just one beer.

I visited the restaurant in the late afternoon and chose the Gaipat Bai Ga Pao Laot Kao. It cost 1,280 yen. The toppings included fresh spring rolls, soup, Ga Pao, cucumber, and a fried egg. The Ga Pao had a unique Thai spice flavor. The rice was served in a large portion and paired well with the meat. Thai Ga Pao rice has a delicious flavor with a perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness.

The Thai restaurant is located a 2-minute walk from JR Chuo Line Kichijoji Station with no parking available. The restaurant has a Food Score of 3.51 on Tabelog. The reviewer was looking for a lunch spot in Kichijoji and decided to try Thai cuisine instead of the usual curry or ramen options. They ordered the Khao Soi Gai, which is similar to Green Curry, for 1,300 yen. The dish was served quickly, with the restaurant having many female customers enjoying dishes like fresh spring rolls and Tom Yum Kung soup. The Green Curry was rich in flavor with large, tender chunks of chicken. The reviewer was impressed with the quality of the chicken and mentioned that it would be great for those who enjoy working out and need protein. They also noted that they were interested in trying Pad Thai next time. Overall, they enjoyed the delicious Thai cuisine.

I visited the restaurant during lunchtime on a weekday. It is a popular place that can get crowded on weekends and evenings, but it was a good time to go on a weekday lunch as we were seated right away. We ordered the top three popular lunch menu items: Gapao Rice, Pad Thai, and Tom Yum Kung. The Gapao Rice and Pad Thai came with soup and fresh spring rolls, while the Tom Yum Kung came with fresh spring rolls but no soup. Everything was delicious and the portion sizes were quite generous, so we left feeling satisfied!

You can enjoy the authentic taste of Thailand here. The Yum Woon Sen is delicious! But spicy!!! The Gapao Rice has great flavor and portion size, but it's spicy!!! The fresh spring rolls, Pad Thai, and Green Curry are not too spicy, even for those who don't like spicy food. They are almost not spicy at all? The kitchen ventilation seems to be not working well, as there was quite a bit of smoke in the dining area. It bothered me a little, but maybe I'm just being overly sensitive... (°_°)

I have been coming back to this place for lunch multiple times. Even as a woman dining alone, I feel comfortable walking in. Today, I came in the evening and ordered the yellow curry with chicken and a fresh spring roll. They gave me a paper apron when they saw I was wearing a light-colored blouse. The fresh spring roll is usually enough for two bites during lunch, but today I was satisfied with just one. It's not cheap, but I have tried the basil stir-fry, chicken with rice, and Pad Thai, and they were all delicious. I wonder what I should try next time.

I arrived at the restaurant at 11:45 am on Saturday and was greeted by a staff member at the entrance who directed me to wait outside along the staircase. After waiting for about 7 minutes, I was finally seated and ordered. The spring rolls and soup were served first, with the soup being placed in the middle of the table, causing confusion as to which dish to start with. The service felt rigid and unfriendly, with the staff not being very accommodating. The dishes took 12 minutes to arrive, and by that time, my companion had already finished their meal. The green curry was overly sweet, with a strong coconut flavor and chunks of chicken. It lacked spiciness and any distinctive flavors. The Thai rice was well-cooked and fragrant, appealing to Japanese taste preferences. Overall, I found the experience lacking and unlikely to return.

When I feel like eating Pad Thai, I come here. I'm not sure if it's the seasonings, but some places give me a headache after eating Pad Thai. But here, it's not a problem. The noodles have a nice texture, the shrimp is plump, and the bean sprouts are crunchy - nothing to complain about! The set with fresh spring rolls and soup is also delicious. The soup is a bit too spicy for me, so I ask for it to be made non-spicy.

On 9/23 update, it was announced that the restaurant will temporarily close on 9/26 (Tue), and will reopen on 10/12 (Wed) at a new location just a few minutes away on foot. The popular Thai restaurant in Kichijoji, located in Daiya Street Cherinaado near Yoko Road, was bustling with customers when I visited around 12 o'clock on a Saturday. The first thing I noticed upon entering was the aroma of spices filling the air. I ordered the Ga Pao Gado Ku Mu set for 1,400 yen, which came with fresh spring rolls and soup. The spring rolls were filled with plenty of cabbage, chicken, nuts, and sweet chili sauce, all wrapped in a chewy spring roll skin. The soup had a tangy and spicy flavor that was unfamiliar but enjoyable. The main dish, Basil Stir-Fried Pork Cartilage using pork from Hirata Farm in Yamagata Prefecture, was delicious with its tender cartilage coated in spices. It was quite spicy with a 3-spice level, so those who are not fond of spicy food may want to order it with less spice. My wife ordered the Thai Sukiyaki for 1,200 yen, which came with spring rolls but no soup. It was surprisingly filling with glass noodles, beef, and aromatic vegetables in a sukiyaki-style soup. Both dishes were delicious and satisfying, and I look forward to visiting again to try more of their menu items.

I visited the restaurant on a Saturday night at 6:30 pm and it was almost full with many young customers. The staff were busy and efficient, with a female leader quickly responding to raised hands. The dishes and drinks I had that day were: - Kanom Pung S (shrimp and pork surimi toast) → Excellent - Poo Nim Gadiam (garlic stir-fried soft shell crab) → Excellent - Additional coriander - Tom Yum Kung → Good - Green Curry → Excellent - Small rice - Mon Cham Grass - Chabalaichi (soft drink) The standout dish was the Kanom Pung S, with crispy shrimp and pork surimi toast topped with sesame seeds. It is delicious when dipped in sweet chili sauce and paired with additional coriander. I recommend trying the extra coriander. The Poo Nim Gadiam was soft and juicy, but lacked a distinct Thai flavor. The Green Curry was creamy and slightly spicy with plump shrimp, and the unique aroma (such as green chili) makes it addictive. I requested the Tom Yum Kung to be mild in spiciness, but it was still quite hot for me. I wish they had less spicy options for salads as well. The total bill for two people was 7,110 yen, which was good value for money. The restaurant had a clean and cozy atmosphere with a lovely ethnic interior design and spacious table arrangements. I also found out they offer online shopping under the name "Suusuudeli," which means "keep going" in Thai. It's a restaurant that is working hard and even expanding into Thailand.

"I ate too much for lunch, so I just want to have a light meal tonight..." Even feeling that way, this place is convenient with both table and counter seats. I decided to order the "Thai-style shrimp fried rice." The dish arrived promptly, beautifully presented with an elegant visual appeal. As soon as I took the first bite, the fragrant aroma of jasmine rice rising up in my nostrils was irresistible. I couldn't help but wonder if the flavor sensed in the nasal passage goes directly to the brain more than the taste on the tongue. The happiness and satisfaction were overwhelming. The texture of the rice was different from Japanese rice, with a firm and slightly crunchy mouthfeel. It was exactly the taste of the "Thai-style shrimp fried rice" I had imagined and desired. It was delicious. The staff, mostly of Thai nationality (probably), worked diligently yet seemed friendly and harmonious, adding to the enjoyable exotic atmosphere. I had a valuable dining experience with delicious food and a pleasant ambiance. This is a place I would love to visit again and again."

I visited the restaurant around 1 pm on Saturday for lunch. The place was almost full and lunchtime is always busy. I was torn between ordering Gapao Rice and Quittio Tom Yum, but since it was cold today, I decided to go with Quittio Tom Yum (herb-filled Tom Yum noodles). The Tom Yum noodles had a stimulating spiciness and acidity that really stood out, leaving a lasting impression. I couldn't stop sweating. The fresh spring rolls that came with it were chewy and delicious. I look forward to trying other items on the menu next time.

I was exhausted from work on a weekday afternoon and found myself unconsciously lining up at my favorite restaurant, Khun Sai Aiam. I was alone that day, but was seated at a table for four as the counter was full, which made me feel sorry. There were so many tempting dishes on the menu that I always have a hard time deciding. I was torn between ordering the Khao Soi and the Mini Kapow, but since the Mini Kapow I had last time was delicious and it came with soup, I decided to go with that. Soon, a clear Tom Yum soup arrived with shrimp and mushrooms. The spicy and sour taste was addictive. Then came the fresh spring rolls topped with nuts and sauce. The chewy skin and generous fillings made it very delicious. The Kapow looked beautiful and tasted amazing, I couldn't stop eating it. The rice portion was generous, and even though it was free to get a large serving, I couldn't finish it unfortunately. No matter what you order, it's always delicious at this favorite restaurant of mine.

Musashino City, Tokyo, Kichijoji Honcho. A popular Thai restaurant in Kichijoji. Opened in June 2008. Operated by "Krua Siam" Jiyugaoka branch and 7 other stores, "Old Thailand" with 3 stores, "Thai Cooking Institute" with 3 stores, and a company specializing in Thai cuisine called "SUU・SUU・CHAIYOO". They also have a sister store in Bangkok. The nearest station is Kichijoji Station on the Chuo/Sobu Line and Keio Inokashira Line. I think it's a first-class Thai restaurant♪︎ ✧٩(。•̀ᴗ-)人(-ᴗ´•。)۶✧ By the way, the name of the restaurant "Krua" means ancient capital or tradition, and "Siam" is the old name for Thailand. For us Japanese, "Siamese" might sound better. When you put them together, "Krua Siam" means "traditional Thai". I visited for lunch around 11 am on a weekday. It's been 5 years since I last visited the Kichijoji store. The restaurant is located underground, and when I entered, it was almost full. Since I was alone, I was seated at the counter. Shortly after, it became fully booked, with a waiting line forming outside the entrance. It's definitely a popular restaurant(o^-')b! There were 4-5 staff members, a mix of Thai and Japanese. Thai language is heard throughout the restaurant. There are many female customers, and quite a few solo diners as well. The chic interior creates a calm atmosphere. The complimentary drink is Thai tea. You order verbally and pay afterwards, with table service φ(..)◆Today's Order◆Yam Wun Sen Set 1200 yenTom Yum Soup, Fresh Spring Rolls included. I love this soup from the Krua Siam series( ̄¬ ̄) Yam Wun Sen, a Thai vermicelli salad. The vermicelli made from mung beans is chewy(´ 3`) The dish includes shrimp, squid, minced chicken, wood ear mushrooms, celery, early red cabbage, peanuts, cherry tomatoes, scallions, cilantro, etc. The seasoning is just right with a good balance of spiciness and sourness, perfect with rice( ̄* ̄) You can adjust the flavor to your liking using Kruang Pong (Kruang Plu) in the middle of the meal (just ask the staff to bring it). I prefer a stronger sour taste, so I add a lot of Nam Som Phrik (vinegar with chili). I also sprinkle some lemon and chili-infused fish sauce on top♪︎ I am very satisfied with Krua Siam. Both the taste and the service/atmosphere are top-notch for a Thai restaurant. It may be slightly more expensive than local Thai restaurants, but you can enjoy authentic Thai cuisine here♪︎✧٩(ˊωˋ*)و✧ #Komusubi #Thai cuisine #Popular restaurant #Krua Siam #Restaurant located underground #Authentic atmosphere #Sister store in Bangkok #Curry #Cilantro dishes #Takeout #Cashless payment available #Very high likelihood of revisiting #No entry restrictions for Thailand from October 1st ===========

The restaurant is decorated with Thai-style interiors and looks beautiful. The Basil Fried Rice, Thai Yakisoba, and Thai-style omelette (different name for the dish) were all delicious. The Basil Fried Rice was quite spicy at level 3, but the flavor was great. The Thai-style omelette was a nice palate cleanser, balancing out the spiciness. I'm curious about the Tom Yum Goong, so I'll try it next time I visit.
