Because there was a typhoon forecast, I cancelled my reservation once. However, my friend was able to come to Ikebukuro, so we decided to try going to the restaurant without a reservation, and if it didn't work out, we would go to another place. Luckily, we were able to get in since it was early. The dishes were all delicious, satisfying both my desire for seafood and my friend's craving for meat. The prices for the dishes were reasonable, but I found the drinks to be a bit expensive. Still, being able to enjoy crab dishes without the hassle of shelling them made me feel like coming to this restaurant was a good choice. I would like to visit again with my spouse next time.

Visited on July 31, 2023. We made a reservation for 2 people at 6:00 PM and were seated at a spacious table. The menu was extensive, and all dishes were quite generous in portion size for two people. The recommended seafood carpaccio allows you to add shrimp or fresh oysters according to your group size, which is a nice option. Plus, the additional cost is low, so you can easily add more. The variety of lemon sours in the drink menu was particularly impressive, and I ended up drinking too much. I really liked the Spirytus lemon sour for its easy-to-drink taste. Despite the casual atmosphere, the flavors were authentic, and I have already decided to revisit.

The shop is located on the basement floor. It is bustling and not quiet. The interior is clean and the food is delicious, making it suitable for a date. The prices are not too cheap or too expensive. The alcohol may be on the pricier side. The food is not too expensive, so the cost performance is good.

I used it on a weekend night. It was quite last minute, but we were able to make a reservation for three people. However, it was full by 5:30pm. It was bustling. And at this point, all the oyster dishes that are supposed to be the highlight were sold out... The classic carpaccio was unchanged, but the fried small sweetfish was honestly too big for sweetfish, with a strong bitterness. The yellowtail and new onion salad had only a little yellowtail on top, which was a bit disappointing. Even though it's Fish Kin, there were few seafood dishes, and I couldn't help but think, "Was it like this?" It's been a while since I went to Fish Kin, but I couldn't help feeling that it had declined a bit. Also, the inside of the restaurant was too cold, and even when I mentioned it to the staff, the garlic shrimp cooled down quickly...

As a birthday celebration, I made a reservation on Tabelog (for seats only) and went to the restaurant! First, I had a toast with beer and the complimentary "homemade pork ham" which was served with finely chopped fruits (apple, orange, kiwi) on top of the ham, and it was a great combination! The seafood dish I ordered, "Uni in Shell with Consomme Jelly," had sea urchin and sashimi, and the jelly made it look beautiful. However, the sea urchin had a slight fishy taste... The "Seafood Carpaccio" had a bit of oyster in it, which was creamy and delicious. The other ingredients were also tasty, especially the sauce variations for different types of fish. The "Clam in White Wine Steamed" was simple yet had a firm texture and a delicious clam broth. The salad with "Bologna Ham Lyon-style Salad" was refreshing with a soft-boiled egg on top. The "Freshly Sliced Ham" was thinly sliced and had a light and tasty flavor. I also ordered meat dishes. The "Cherry Valley Duck Roast" was tender and juicy with a perfect cooking. The "Grilled Zabuton" had a rare cooking style that brought out the beef's umami flavor. It was delicious with balsamic sauce or mustard, but also great with a sprinkle of coarse salt. The pasta dish "Shirasu and Cabbage, Karasumi Spaghetti" had a tempting flavor with the saltiness of shirasu and the crunchiness of cabbage. Overall, I enjoyed a variety of seafood, meat dishes, and drinks. Thank you for the feast!

I have visited Uokin in Shinbashi and Ginza before, but Ikebukuro was an area I rarely visited, so I took the opportunity to make a reservation on the day of and stopped by. It was a hot day, so the ice-cold interior of the restaurant was very refreshing. I was hoping to have some oysters, but unfortunately they were not available that day, which was disappointing. The carpaccio always impresses me and I learn something new each time. Since the small size only came with one raw oyster, I asked if I could have two, and the staff kindly agreed to my request. I was happy that they suggested it. Thank you very much. This time, I enjoyed some carpaccio and a bottle of wine to keep it light. Thank you for the meal.

The open kitchen with beautifully displayed vegetables creates a nice atmosphere. Although it seems geared towards younger people, a wide range of age groups were enjoying themselves. The variety of dishes is a bit limited, but it's a good place to enjoy for one or two people.

The white liver pate was incredibly delicious!! Everything here is relatively delicious!! The corn fritters were sweet and very tasty~ The terrine too!! It pairs well with wine, and when you ask the staff for wine recommendations, they choose carefully for you ♡ This is my second visit, but I definitely want to go back again♪

Four of us girls used this restaurant. The atmosphere was more calm compared to the company's Bar Walkin. The menu includes typical Walkin items such as carpaccio and fresh oysters, as well as Western dishes like steak, pasta, and risotto. The restaurant opens at 1pm on weekends. We arrived before 5pm, so the place was not crowded. The dishes we had this time were as follows: ham appetizer, Carpaccio with 6 varieties, grilled romaine lettuce Caesar salad, anchovy-grilled young corn, fried young squid and seasonal vegetables, cod and new potatoes in garlic sauce with bread. The cod dish was especially recommended and I would like to come back again. Since we didn't order many main dishes, even after having two drinks each, it was only about 3500 yen. The price was reasonable and we were satisfied!

"Bistro uokin Ikebukuro" is a popular bistro in Ikebukuro known for its high-quality and fresh seafood dishes such as carpaccio, sashimi, and oysters. The first "Uokin" store opened in 1995 near JR Shinbashi Station, initially as a regular Japanese-style izakaya. Since then, they have expanded to Ikebukuro, Gotanda, Ginza, Akihabara, and other locations. I visited for a pre-dinner cafe experience and ordered a dessert of a combination of two types of ice cream, along with Perrier. The ice cream was generous in portion, with a refreshing vanilla flavor and a strawberry mascarpone ice cream that had a delightful sweetness from the fresh strawberries. The ice cream was served on a bed of cereal. The restaurant provides attentive service, with the chefs' greetings being clearly heard. It's a business model that has stood the test of time for this restaurant."

Entered without a reservation at 4 pm. The restaurant quickly became crowded. It's better to arrive early or make a reservation. Uokin's assorted carpaccio is a must. It seems like almost all customers order it. It's cheap but the quality is satisfying. The refreshing lemon sour and fresh oysters are the best! ✨

Carpaccio of fresh fish, red wine stewed beef cheeks, grilled romaine Caesar salad, scallop cream croquette (this was delicious! A smash hit.) Seafood paella, two Maker's Mark highballs, two Jim Beam highballs, two dry ginger ales. Total was a little over 12,000 yen. When there were fewer Fish Kind stores, there was a joy in saying "I got a reservation at Fish Kind!" and the cost performance was even better. I might be idealizing the past, but that was the impression. The carpaccio of fresh fish had the oysters removed and they added other shellfish instead. It's not something I take for granted, so I appreciate it. I feel like going back to Fish Kind in Shinbashi, amidst the hustle and bustle. I prefer the atmosphere of Shinbashi over more stylish places.

Visited around 1:00 on a holiday. As it is part of the Uokin group, the menu mainly focuses on seafood. I ordered carpaccio, salad, potato gratin, shirako fritters, and tomato penne. Overall, the seasoning was on the stronger side. The wine went down easily. Personally, I felt that the drink prices were a bit high compared to the food. It's located near the station but not in a bustling area, and being underground gives it a hidden gem vibe where you can relax and have quiet conversations. I recommend it as a hidden daytime drinking spot in Ikebukuro!!

It was about a 10-12 minute walk from the station (approximate). It was a Friday, but I was able to walk in without a reservation around 6pm. The clientele seemed to be mostly women and couples. The dishes all looked beautiful, and my favorite was the blue cheese potato gratin. The flavors were all delicious. The only downside was that the baguette served with the aioli was cold. There was a female server who seemed a bit scatterbrained but was cute. I found that endearing, as I can be a bit clumsy myself.

My nephew who started working in Tokyo and I were looking for a restaurant to have dinner. He lives in Mejiro, so we decided on Ikebukuro as the location. When I asked him "What do you want to eat?" he replied, "I don't like raw vegetables." He's still a young boy, probably in his growing years. Due to the impact of COVID-19, we haven't met in the past 2-3 years, and we haven't even talked before. I also have limited experience dining out in Tokyo, so I turned to Tabelog for help but couldn't decide on a place. Then I remembered the existence of Uogashi, which can be found in any town. They have a variety of dishes like a bistro. The appetizer was carpaccio, just as expected from Uogashi! But being a bistro, they also have a great selection of meat dishes. I had white wine, while my nephew had gin and soda. The grilled Pacific saury, duck loin, and sand liver with garlic confit were all delicious. My nephew finished with carbonara and said, "It's delicious." I'm sorry, I almost forgot to take photos. Thank you for the feast tonight.

One of the restaurants I had been curious about for a long time. I was looking for a place where I could start drinking early, and I remembered this place because it's part of the UOKIN group. I made a reservation in advance for a visit on Sunday at 3:30 pm. When it comes to UOKIN, I think of carpaccio. I didn't see it on the menu, so I asked the staff and they said the appetizer was carpaccio. The variety of appetizers was nice compared to the usual ones at other restaurants. The dishes I ordered were all delicious and satisfying. As expected of UOKIN, the taste is consistent and good! The squid fritters had a slightly hard batter, but they were crispy and tasty. Oh, the homemade lemon squash was also good, not overly sweet, with a nice balance of acidity. I had to be a bit conservative with my order this time because I had already decided to go to another restaurant afterwards, but I want to come back and order a variety of dishes next time. Oh, but it's tough for me, who likes to leisurely eat and drink, because there's a time limit. Thank you for the meal.

The appetizer came with oysters, which was impressive, but I can't eat oysters. The price for the appetizer was a bit high. I haven't been to a regular fish restaurant before, so I can't tell the difference, but overall, the menu items seem limited. After eating Genghis Khan, I felt like having a light drink. I wandered around wondering where to go, and I came across Bistro Wokin. I had been wanting to try this place. When I entered, it was just in time for last order, and I only had about an hour, which was perfect. I ordered a few appetizers and wine each. The bread served as an appetizer was fluffy and the liver pate was delicious, and the pate de campagne had a meaty texture and was tasty. Personally, I really liked it. I forgot the name of the appetizer with cream cheese, but it was very creamy and melted in my mouth. The sand liver confit was also soft and very delicious (it seems to be cooked at a low temperature). I intended to have a light drink, but ended up ordering quite a few appetizers. Haha. I had two drinks and it was just the right amount. Thank you for the meal ⭐️ Other menu items also looked delicious, so I plan to visit this place as my first stop next time (^^).

Uokin is always a reliable choice! It's been a long time since I last visited, but the cost performance is still great! I had the carpaccio, steamed clams in wine, and yam fries. With plenty of drinks, it's only 5000 yen per person, which is a good deal!
