I had to attend a last-minute meeting in Gotanda, and I realized that if I continued on, I would miss dinner. I was contemplating where to eat on the train to Gotanda, but since I had recently been to Swatchika and Oniyanma, I couldn't think of any good options. I ended up wandering around and running out of time, so I randomly decided to enter this place that caught my eye. As soon as I entered, I had a bad feeling about the messy interior, but I decided to go in anyway. The seats on the first floor were full, so I went downstairs, but the whole floor smelled of smoke, so I decided to leave. Just as I was about to leave, a seat on the first floor opened up, so I sat there and placed my order. I remembered having decent pasta at Pronto a long time ago, so I chose the Iberico pork bacon with large leaf sauce pasta (790 yen). Just in case it was disappointing, I decided to order a safe Mont Blanc dessert (400 yen) with an iced coffee set (580 yen). The interior of the restaurant was messy, and the seat I arrived at was dirty, but I couldn't find any paper napkins to wipe it down. I had to ask one of the only staff members between customer service to clean it for me. The dirty dishes from customers who had left were left on the table, and there was no place to return them, so the staff left them there. While worrying about this, another staff member appeared from downstairs with the pasta in hand. The pasta had a refreshing taste with the oil sauce and large leaf, and the thick-cut bacon was decent, but the pasta itself was too soft and lacked texture, which was disappointing. I finished it while feeling a sense of emptiness and regretting my choice. Then came the Mont Blanc I was counting on. However, the Mont Blanc was too sweet, and the chestnut flavor was barely noticeable. It was just a sweet cake. I was hit with a double shock and couldn't recover from the disappointment. I should have thought more carefully about choosing a restaurant, even if I was short on time. Not only was the cleanliness lacking, but the fact that the iced coffee was served in a plastic cup for dining in also gave it a cheap feeling. My impression of Pronto changed drastically that day. I had a better image of it before. Thank you for the meal.
