Probably my 5th time at Sushiro! I only ordered the 150 yen plates this time. Feeling like Sugichan! Just had it to fill my stomach, but surprisingly it was delicious. The shrimp tempura and grilled pork belly were tasty!

Visited "Sushiro Minami Ikebukuro" in Ikebukuro, a well-known nationwide conveyor belt sushi chain. Despite various Sushiro locations, the abundance may be a sign of their large-scale presence. As a publicly listed company, their financial statements show increasing revenue but decreasing profit margins. The annual report cites challenges like yen depreciation, rising material and labor costs, creating a tough environment for Sushiro. Despite profit decline, they prioritize customer satisfaction. Utilizing a voucher, I experienced their self-ordering system and ordered various sushi items. The sushi rice was slightly sweet, catering to all tastes. Some items like bonito, yellowtail, and grilled mackerel were delicious. However, the sea urchin hand roll was disappointing due to its strong taste. Payment was made with a credit card, and the overall price was satisfactory. The experience was enjoyable, and I look forward to returning. Thank you for the meal.

The highlight is the crispy and freshly made tempura. I especially like the shrimp tempura sushi. The kinmedai (golden eye snapper) tempura was also good. Overall, the fried items that are not sushi are good too. The other sushi is okay. It doesn't have the atmosphere of a traditional sushi restaurant. There are many students, families, and children. It's fun to come here occasionally.

I visited the Sushiro Shinjuku Higashiguchi branch of the revolving sushi restaurant. First of all, each piece of sushi was very fresh, with a good balance of sweetness and umami, and I was surprised at how delicious the sushi was at such a low price. The amount and taste of the rice were also excellent, and the balance with the toppings was perfect. In a sense, because it is a chain restaurant, they provide a consistently delicious sushi experience. The rotation was good, and everything from cleaning to serving the next customer to the reservation system was very efficient. Not only was the taste great, but everything was also reasonably priced, making it a great value for money. I was once again very satisfied.

The season for yellowtail ended, and it was slightly past its peak. The yellowtail sushi was quite delicious. It didn't have the high-quality fatty texture of wild yellowtail, but the slices were large and the green onions added a refreshing touch. The yellowtail belly was not as good.

I started my day leisurely at home, watching TV half asleep and sipping on some drinks. Suddenly, I saw a lot of commercials for Sushiro. There seems to be a promotion until today, so I decided to go and check it out. Today, I have another swimming pool training session. I slacked off last week and ate too much for lunch recently, so I need to push myself. It's around 1:00 PM on Sunday, and surprisingly, there are quite a few people here. I got my ticket and went outside to buy some canned beer at the convenience store. When I returned, I noticed that there were even more people now. My ticket number is 206, and there are only 3 people ahead of me. It seems like the order is a bit random. Finally, my turn came, and I sat at my designated seat. I ordered the special fatty tuna for 210 yen and the big cut tuna for 150 yen. I realized that the prices vary depending on the store. I also ordered a beer and some sake. After enjoying my meal, I headed to the swimming pool for my training session.

It's been a while since I had medium fatty tuna at Sushiro. I don't remember going there often, but the quality seems good for the price. The medium fatty tuna didn't have a melting texture, but had some fat lines in it. It was more like medium fatty tuna? It felt closer to lean tuna.

I visited in the evening. Despite a decrease in customers nationwide due to the recent social media uproar, this shop in Ikebukuro was crowded. I ordered a platter of 3 pieces of fresh sushi. The size of the fish overwhelmed me, so I couldn't help but take a picture. It was larger than usual. The other sushi was consistently delicious as well. Keep up the good work despite the controversy!

Eating alone at Sushiro is a secret pleasure. You can eat as much as you want without worrying about anyone else! Each person is separated by a transparent booth, so there is personal space, and you can eat at your own pace while working on your smartphone or enjoying dessert. Sushiro has changed the concept of sushi. There are always campaigns going on, which keeps the excitement alive. The sweets are delicious too, so I often come for them. This day, there was no wait, and I got in right away. One of my favorite menu items is the 3-piece salmon roll for 150 yen. It's always there and I hope it never disappears! Also, the bracken rice cake was deliciously bouncy! I like the crispy texture of the fried and tempura dishes, so I order them every time. The tempura dipping sauce is free! The shrimp tempura sushi is great when dipped in this free sauce! The reception and payment are now unmanned. When I entered, even though it was very empty, I got a ticket for a cold seat near the entrance. I didn't want to eat while feeling cold, so I asked the staff to move me to a warmer seat in the back (which was empty). I'm glad there was a staff member at the reception! Also, it seems like there are fewer good deals on the menu compared to before. Despite the changes over the years, the atmosphere is still cozy and nice!

You can eat cheap and get full on sushi! I like unique items at conveyor belt sushi restaurants like seafood salad, tuna corn, and egg salad. Also, personally, I like ramen! Surprisingly high quality and recommended (*^^*)♡

I went to Sushiro aiming for a discount campaign with JCB. It was my first visit. The smartphone reservation made the process smooth. I tried the collaboration seafood bowl with Haneda Market, which had a variety of fresh toppings and was delicious. However, I later realized that they didn't provide soy sauce with egg yolk. The comparison between ark shell and salmon was also delicious. When it came time to pay, it seemed that I needed to show my JCB card to the staff. I realized that I was a bit cautious and missed out on the discount and the egg yolk soy sauce during this lunch.

We used it as a family. Since my daughter was sleeping, we were told that we could be seated at the counter quickly, so we chose the counter! This was a great decision. My daughter woke up quite soon, but it was convenient as my wife and I were sitting next to each other, so one of us could take care of her. Surprisingly, the counter seats are recommended. We enjoyed various delicious sushi as always, and it was fun! I tend to eat too much. Thank you for the meal. There are few photos... I will come again.

I had a quick lunch in Ikebukuro before work in the afternoon - chawanmushi, 4 pieces of sushi, and shrimp tempura udon. The sushi included ark shell, whelk, and engawa. During the meal, I received a call from the other party and had to finish quickly. I finished my lunch in 10 minutes - sushi, udon, and chawanmushi. Lately, I've been enjoying this combination. It's great that there's a conveyor belt sushi restaurant nearby. (laughs)

I made a reservation and visited the restaurant. It was very crowded to the point where you had to wait quite a bit to get in, even with a reservation through the app it took over 90 minutes to enter, showing how popular it is. As for the food, it was reasonably priced and enjoyable. The taste was decent.

I wanted to have a light lunch before heading out for work in the afternoon. In the morning, during a SHOWROOM livestream, Rino-chan (HKT48 5th generation member Rino Sakamoto) mentioned that she likes Hamachi sushi, so I decided to go for a revolving sushi place. I found a Sushiro near Ikebukuro Station. It started snowing lightly while I was waiting outside for the store to open, and as soon as it did, I went in. They didn't have Hamachi on the menu, so I opted for Kanburi instead. I also had tamagoyaki, shime saba, and corn gunkan. When I left, the snow had started to come down heavily. I'm a bit worried about the snow getting worse at my next destination.

The dish filled with crab that I had at Asaka-dai was amazing. It tasted like the real crab from Hakodate, not imitation crab meat. I was so impressed that I had high expectations and ordered the blowfish version from the same series at the end of the year. However, it turned out to be the worst. The fried blowfish was cold, indicating that it was probably prepared in advance and left standing. The other two dishes also lacked freshness. The fatty tuna was thinly sliced, equivalent to about 100 yen worth. The medium fatty tuna I had at Asaka-dai had a much thicker slice. Overall, I was disappointed at the end of the year. I should have been more cautious, especially since I was able to get a table here in Ikebukuro immediately, unlike the one in Asaka-dai.

This time, the sushi and menu I received from Sushiro are as follows:
- Firefly squid (120 yen)
- Assorted shiny fish (3 pieces) (120 yen)
- Fresh bluefin tuna (320 yen)
- Grated grilled salmon (120 yen)
- Homemade tartar sauce with chicken (120 yen)
- Horse sashimi tasting (600 yen)
- Tekkamaki (tuna roll) (120 yen)
- Seaweed and nori miso soup (200 yen)
- Sukiyaki seafood sushi bento (1,100 yen)
About Sushiro's sushi rice:
The sushi rice was surprisingly loose and fluffy, leaving a good impression from the first plate. It has a strong sweetness and the acidity is just right, with a typical sushi vinegar taste. The temperature was also good, slightly warm, which was nice. However, the second plate had a lower temperature and was packed tightly, showing a noticeable difference. There is a variation in quality between plates, but overall it is within an acceptable range. In conclusion, Sushiro shattered the negative image of the sushi rice from traditional conveyor belt sushi restaurants, showing a clear improvement in quality.
About Sushiro's sushi toppings:
- Firefly squid: Finely sliced and not bad. It leans towards a softer texture rather than highlighting the squid's natural texture, making it enjoyable for all ages.
- Assorted shiny fish: The sardine is fresh and fatty with a strong aroma. The mackerel is elegantly prepared, suitable even for those who may not like traditional mackerel.
- Fresh bluefin tuna: Two pieces with different cuts, the lean piece is rich in iron while the medium fatty tuna has a unique aroma, both satisfying for the price.
- Grated grilled salmon: The skin is seared, giving it a distinct salmon flavor with a rich fatty taste.
- Homemade tartar sauce with chicken: A fantastic combination that showcases the sushi rice's acidity and enhances the fried chicken's flavor.
- Horse sashimi tasting: A unique sushi topping experience that unfortunately had too much oil mixed in, masking the meat's natural flavors.
- Tekkamaki: The rice was too sticky and the nori lacked aroma and texture, highlighting the difficulty in making sushi rolls.
- Seaweed and nori miso soup: Light on the broth but generous with seaweed, a delightful combination.
- Sukiyaki seafood sushi bento: A collaboration with renowned chef Toba Shusaku, offering a flavorful sushi bento box for takeout.

I came to Sushiro after a long time. This is my first time at this store. I finally got in as it's always crowded. I was attracted to the 170 yen menu, so I mainly ordered from there. If you have the image of the old 100 yen conveyor belt sushi, you will be surprised at how delicious it is. The 170 yen sushi itself is at the level of all-you-can-eat high-end sushi restaurants. The menu is rich and enjoyable. I think it's a very good conveyor belt sushi chain for families and students.

I visited "Sushiro Minami Ikebukuro Store" around 11:00 am on a certain day in June 2021. Located just a 2-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station, the spacious restaurant on the basement floor was about 30% full. I sat at the counter seat for one person, prepared my own tea, and ordered dishes using the touch panel. Clam miso soup ¥200: The miso soup at Sushiro is of high quality. It contains plenty of large clams with a well-balanced dashi flavor. It is easy to eat without the saltiness of miso being overpowering. Assorted clam sushi (jumbo scallop, surf clam, red clam) ¥320: A great deal for a 3-piece assortment of clams. The scallop and surf clam are large and satisfying to eat, with good freshness. The red clam also has a good umami flavor. Assorted natural fish sushi (sardine, flounder, cherry salmon) ¥170: Another great deal for a 3-piece assortment. It's nice to be able to eat cherry salmon sushi at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. The freshness is also good. Yellowtail ¥120: Since there was no yellowtail sushi available that day, I ordered yellowtail instead. The yellowtail sushi had a good thickness and texture, and was easy to eat without any strong flavors. Tuna and pickled radish gunkan sushi ¥120: A gunkan sushi with tuna and pickled radish. The balance between the tuna and pickled radish is nice. It's a combination that I personally can't resist ordering. White fish tempura sushi ¥120: A recommended menu item for the day, white fish tempura sushi. A good sushi with a fluffy white fish texture. It may be a bit difficult to eat, but the tempura sushi was not bad either. Flounder sushi ¥120: A unique way of making sushi at Sushiro. The quality is high and it's a good sushi to enjoy the juicy flounder. Eel and cucumber roll ¥170: The balance between eel and cucumber is not quite right. It may be lacking in eel sauce. I tried adding wasabi, but overall, the satisfaction level of this roll was lacking. Overall, Sushiro is a satisfying sushi restaurant. The location is excellent, and I was able to enjoy my meal in a comfortable and spacious environment. The ordering system using the touch panel is very convenient once you get used to it. Sushiro continues to enhance the quality of their sushi in a systematic way, and I will likely continue to visit in the future.

Today's dinner
I had a rare day off and spent it with my daughter. We went to "Sushiro" in Minami Ikebukuro. It had been about half a year since we last visited a Sushiro. The variety of sushi was a bit disappointing as it was a Sunday, but I still managed to enjoy 33 plates and 66 pieces. Thank you for the meal!
