It's been a while since I had a special fugu sake that I can't drink at home and I want to eat tessa a lot! We were excited and since Nakano shop has been closed for a while, we consulted the reservation center and they recommended this store to us. The staff at the phone reservation center were very polite and kind, and they also told us about the atmosphere of the restaurant. I had never been to Ikebukuro shop before, and since I didn't know much about Ikebukuro East Exit, it took me more than 10 minutes to walk there, even though it was supposed to be a 3-minute walk. The restaurant is located on the 1st and 2nd floors of a building in the entertainment district, with a calm atmosphere inside. My friend arrived first and we toasted with a sip of Premium Malt. We ordered fugu skin ponzu as a complimentary dish and also fugu skin grill (which was only 400 yen for a limited time). The grill can be done by yourself using a charcoal grill, but we asked the staff to do it for us. The menu includes Chinese, and the Chinese staff members are probably hired for inbound customers, but they are fluent in Japanese and were cheerful and polite, which was nice. While enjoying the plump skin with a crispy texture and ponzu sauce, we quickly finished our beer. We then grilled the fugu fin with fire and dipped it in sake, ordered the tessa as part of the course, and also added a single order of tessa. It's great to be able to eat tessa at such a great price, which is unique to a fugu specialty chain. There were also some takeout orders while we were dining. We also added fugu tempura as part of the course and also as a single order! We also had a mini Premium Malt, which was just the right amount for when you want a little bit of cold beer. The tempura was delicious with the accompanying sweet potato, green pepper, and shiitake mushrooms. The fugu chiri was also left to the staff to cook, and they did it perfectly. The meat around the bones was delicious, and we also enjoyed the thin slices at the end, eating them lightly like shabu-shabu. The low-fat fugu can be eaten without worrying about calories, which is great. The staff then made a delicious porridge using the rich fugu broth left in the pot. Watching them use a strainer to make scrambled eggs was always beautiful and soothing. The nourishing porridge had a good amount of rice, so we were full after eating it. The nut ice cream for dessert had a unique taste that I liked. The restaurant was about 60% full at its busiest, so we had a comfortable dining experience. Alcohol was also available at the tables, and the seating was spacious, so we could relax. The restroom is unisex, so I hope they clean it regularly. We were politely escorted out when we left, and it was a delightful time. Thank you for the meal.
