Wakabadai, Inagi City, Tokyo. This is an in-store bakery of the supermarket "Yaoko," which is based in Saitama Prefecture. The nearest station is Wakabadai Station on the Keio Sagamihara Line. Located in a corner of Tama New Town, Wakabadai is a new town with not many dining options. On weekdays at lunchtime, I decided to buy some bread and eat it in a nearby park.
Today's order:
Hokkaido wheat curry bread 214 yen
Bacon cheese epi 214 yen
The curry bread made with Hokkaido wheat is hot and freshly fried, with plenty of curry inside, making it delicious. The epi is convenient to tear and eat. Of course, it wasn't enough, so even though I usually don't eat at night, on this day I had a beef bowl at Yoshinoya. #Sumo #Frespo Wakabadai #In-store bakery #Bakery #Cafe #Takeout #Eat-in space available #Tama New Town #Nobuo

I have repeated this place many times! The bread here is relatively cheap, yet all of them are high quality!!! If you buy it the next day, the taste doesn't really drop, it lasts. My favorite bread is the apple pie. I think it was less than 100 yen. The surrounding mochi dough is crispy and light. It is filled with plenty of sweet apples! I think it's best to bake it in the oven and eat it! Next on my list is the churros! I think this was also less than 100 yen. It is covered with plenty of powdered sugar and is crispy! (I think it's higher quality than the churros at Disneyland) Next, I recommend the "forest stump" bread. It's a pretty large Danish bread. It's about 20 centimeters in diameter and costs around 300 yen, so it's a pretty good deal. They also sell a half-size version. The outside is crispy, the inside dough is fluffy and moist. It's not a dense bread, but I don't really like heavy bread, so it's just right for breakfast! The fact that the variety of bread changes every day is also a big plus. However, I think the regular bread is tastier than the limited edition ones! Also, I prefer the savory bread over the sweet cream-filled ones! I haven't seen the bone-in spicy chicken recently, it was delicious, I hope it comes back!

This time, I used it for lunch. I was unsure of what to choose, but this time I purchased a Wiener Danish. Purchase content: Wiener Danish 213 yen. The Wiener Danish is a bread with coarse-ground Wiener sausage inside yellow dough, topped with cheese and baked. It was voluminous and had a delicious flavor. The store is clean and has a beautiful display of bread, with other delicious-looking options available. It is a bakery located inside the Yaoko Frespo Wakabadai store.

This is an in-store bakery located next to the Super Yaoko store. I bought a thick omelette and a cutlet sandwich while shopping. The flyer introduced regular-sized sandwich bread, but this is a half-sized "small" version. The cutlet is thick and includes vegetables like lettuce and shredded cabbage, with a sauce that is not too heavy. The thick omelette is lightly spread with karashi mayonnaise on the bread, enhancing the sweetness of the egg. The price is reasonable at 322 yen including tax. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived here while looking for a bakery! There seems to be one on the other side of the station as well, but I chose the closer one. I didn't realize it was inside a supermarket, so I got a little lost haha. It seems quite popular as there were quite a few customers. The selection of items is decent, which also made it hard to choose. I bought the Juicy Chicken (Nanban Tartar) and the Sweets Mille-feuille (Chocolate) Tartar Fish Burger. Even when cold, the Juicy Chicken and Tartar Fish Burger were delicious and filling. The Juicy Chicken was really juicy as the name suggests. The Sweets Mille-feuille looks pretty but is a bit difficult to eat as it collapses when you try to take a bite. However, it is tasty. Overall, it was a satisfying shop!

This is a bakery located on the first floor of Frespo Wakabadai, a commercial facility in front of Wakabadai Station on the Keio Sagamihara Line. I have purchased from here about 4-5 times. They have a wide variety of breads and offer some classic items, so I tend to buy something when I go shopping there. I bought an An Salt Bread and a Honey French Roll this time.
⚫ An Salt Bread
Price: 130 yen
This is a salt bread or roll, which has become popular recently. This bread contains salt and red bean paste. I like salt bread so I often buy it from other bakeries as well, but I didn't feel that this bread had a special emphasis on salt. The salt taste is a bit sharp and prickly, typical of refined salt. Also, the saltiness is slightly too strong. I wish there was more buttery aroma spreading in my mouth when I chewed it, and using high-quality natural salt would make a big difference in taste, but this bread lacks that. The red bean paste inside was also dry.

The bakery inside the "Super Yaoko" store, which is expanding its presence in the metropolitan area, is well-known among customers. Every Wednesday, various discounted items are available for the "Yaoko 94 yen Festival". After sampling several types, today I chose the "Durum Mini France (Clam Chowder)", "Mentaiko Potato Roll", and "Crispy Sweet Potato" (all excluding tax for 94 yen each). The "Durum" features soft French bread topped with plenty of clam chowder, offering a delicious combination of crispy surface and chowder flavor. The "Mentaiko" combines fluffy potatoes with spicy cod roe perfectly, creating a tasty treat. The "Crispy" has a pie crust-like texture that is enjoyable, with a flavorful sweet potato filling. Wednesdays are a "must-buy" at this bakery.

At the north exit of Wakabadai Station on the Keio Line, there is a supermarket called "Yaoko" located in the Frespo building on the left side of the rotary. Next to the entrance of the supermarket is a bakery called "Pino," which offers reasonably priced bread. You can not only purchase bread to take home but also enjoy eating in the nearby rest area. There are also drink vending machines available. One recommended item is the "Strawberry Sweet Bread" for 214 yen. It is a bread with mascarpone cheese and strawberries combined with cream and dried cranberries in the dough. The firm and rich cream has a strong aroma and flavor, making it enjoyable as a sweet bread. This is a new product and the bread is quite large with a satisfying taste. Overall, this bakery offers affordable and well-presented bread, making it convenient for customers. The bread loaves tend to sell out quickly, especially the sandwich bread, and discounted prices for deli-style bread are sometimes offered in the evening.

Yao Bakery inside the supermarket Yaoko. It's like a typical bakery inside a supermarket, with a decent variety of bread. They have a mix of sweet bread and savory bread, about half and half.
- Crunchy and Fluffy Melon Bread (120 yen + tax)
It was indeed fluffy, but lacked the crunchy texture. However, the surface was crispy, creating a nice contrast with the fluffy interior. It had a gentle sweetness and just the right amount of butter.
