Caprese originally refers to Capri Island. The formal name of the dish is "Insalata Caprese," meaning Capri Island salad. The basic salad consists of tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and basil. It is loved by Italians because it is made up of the three colors of the Italian flag - red tomatoes, white mozzarella cheese, and green basil. At Musashino Mori Coffee, it is served as a topping on English muffins.

I visited at 9:30 am on a weekday, but the restaurant was crowded with 8 groups waiting... I wonder why it's so busy... After waiting for about 20 minutes, I was finally seated. I ordered an iced tea for 430 yen, and the morning set with toast and boiled eggs for 680 yen. The toast and boiled eggs were simple but delicious! The pancakes had a fluffy texture that melts in your mouth, and they were delicious. A delicious morning set and pancakes, thank you for the meal!

The dish "Salsa de Takorice" gives off a Tex-Mex vibe, reminding me of the days I spent in El Paso, USA and San Diego, USA. The combination of spicy salsa and exotic Takorice really stimulates my appetite. It makes me nostalgic for fajitas and nachos as well.

We stopped by Branch for lunch and ordered the Vegetable Garden Galette and Clubhouse Sandwich for two. The Clubhouse Sandwich was okay, but the Vegetable Garden Galette was quite delicious. The chicken had a crispy skin, and there were plenty of vegetables, which made us satisfied. Overall, we like this place because it's relaxing.

One of the signature dishes at Musashino Forest Coffee is the Ricotta Pancake. It takes some time to cook, so they make sure to inform customers about the wait before taking orders, which shows their sincerity. Although it may be hard to tell from the picture, the pancakes were fluffy and creamy, and paired perfectly with the maple syrup. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The coffee at Musashino Mori Coffee is served with the cup and saucer separate. In the 18th century in France and England, it was common to transfer coffee from the cup to the saucer before drinking. The saucers at that time were deeper and bowl-like. It is unclear if Musashino Mori Coffee is following this historical style.

I went to Musashino Coffee in Suginami Igusa after visiting the spring roses at Jindai Botanical Park. I saw white wisteria at the park and had a refreshing day. I ordered the following dishes: Shrimp Doria Plate (with soup) ¥1,298, Bacon Egg Sandwich (with soup) ¥858, Set Blend Coffee ¥358. The shrimp doria with tomato-flavored chicken rice and white sauce was delicious. The plate comes with a side salad which is nice. The bacon egg sandwich is made with whole wheat and rye flour bread, filled with egg, bacon, and sunny lettuce. It's perfect for a light dinner, especially with the minestrone soup that comes with it. The cafe, which seemed quiet during the pandemic, is now getting more customers, including those who stay long with their laptops. It looks like people who were stuck at home during the pandemic are finally starting to come out.

On a regular day off, my wife and I went for a drive to the outskirts and made a stop at a restaurant around 10:30 in the morning. Despite the time, the parking lot was almost full, but we managed to find a spot and entered the restaurant. After a few minutes of waiting, we were seated at a quiet table for two at the back. Since we hadn't eaten breakfast, we decided to order from the morning menu before it ended at 10:30. I ordered the Forest Special - fluffy omelette rice with mozzarella cheese and a side of fluffy pancakes, along with a coffee for ¥1,738 (tax included). My wife ordered the HOT Fresh Fruit Tea for ¥770 (tax included) and warm fluffy pancakes for ¥638 (tax included). The omelette rice with mozzarella cheese was decent in taste. I added some black pepper and a bit of Tabasco to make it spicier. The portion size was satisfying. The organic coffee was also good. The HOT Fresh Fruit Tea was not overly sweet and quite enjoyable. The fluffy pancakes were delicious even without the honey-based sauce provided. Restaurants like this in the outskirts are judged by their location, peaceful atmosphere, and the quality of their food. This particular restaurant, located on the outskirts of the western edge of the city, seems to attract customers for these reasons. The taste was decent overall, and although it may not be outstanding, it is a good place to visit occasionally. That's it.

"Loco moco" may be considered a kind of soul food in Hawaii, but at Mushishi no Mori, it was upgraded with colorful paprika, making it a vibrant dish. I didn't order the classic fluffy pancakes today, but the meal was delicious. Thank you for the feast.

I had some errands in this area and wanted to stop by if I could get there early, but it's usually congested. Surprisingly, the traffic was smooth today. I was tempted to explore somewhere new but ended up revisiting this place where I like the atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and I'm glad I came. It's morning time, so I ordered pancakes and domestic ham a la carte, along with a fruit tea. The fruit tea had a strong citrus flavor, which was fitting for the season, but I realized I prefer more berry flavors. The pancakes were a solid choice and the domestic ham was delicious. I'm satisfied with my order. It's a great cafe to spend a leisurely morning. I would love to visit again if the timing is right.

I was able to enjoy the morning service at just the right time. I had the special morning set at Musashino Mori Coffee. As expected from Musashino Mori Coffee, they offer a variety of richly arranged special morning sets to choose from. Today, I chose the bacon and egg sandwich. It was delicious.

Early lunch. I arrived at 10:30, which is the time when the menu switches. Even though it was a little past that time, I was happy that they asked if I wanted breakfast or lunch. I was really hungry, so I didn't hesitate to choose the lunch menu. While waiting for the food I ordered, I had a bad feeling... I checked the previous reviews and realized that I had ordered the same Loco Moco as before. I guess some things you just never get tired of. My friend had pasta and warm pancakes, while I enjoyed a cup of coffee. We ended up staying longer than planned, just relaxing. Thank you for the meal.

Mushashino Coffee Suginami Igusa Store
Despite a slight change in awareness towards the COVID-19 situation, there are still few restaurants open past 8 p.m. in the outskirts of Tokyo. Three years ago, on a Saturday night, various restaurants would be open until around midnight, but there are now fewer places to enjoy a leisurely meal. After watching a movie at T Joy Seibu Oizumi in Oizumi Gakuen, I decided to have dinner at "Musashino Coffee Suginami Igusa Store" along Shin Ome Kaido. It is a café in the Skylark style that offers coffee, pasta, bread, curry, desserts, and even craft beer. The café aims to provide a relaxed atmosphere rather than a wide variety of menu options. I wrote my name on the waiting list at the entrance and was seated at a table after a 10-minute wait. The place was relatively quiet, and it seemed like they were controlling the number of customers to prevent the seats from filling up. I ordered the recommended set, which included a ribeye steak plate and jambalaya. The dishes were slightly different from the menu photos, but I ignored it as a chef's artistic choice. The flavors were as expected. The grilled beef salad with jambalaya was a Cajun pilaf topped with teriyaki beef, quinoa, and plenty of vegetables. The ribeye steak loco moco set came with a ricotta pancake that was fluffy and light, almost like a meringue pancake. I couldn't read magazines or newspapers at the restaurant during the peak of COVID-19 concerns, but now they were available for reading. It seems like we are gradually moving away from the COVID-19 whirlpool.

The restaurant is spacious, clean, and easy to enter, with very friendly staff. There are sofa seats and regular chair seats inside. The interior has a few steps up and flat areas, so even those with mobility issues should be fine on the flat areas. It seems to be part of the Skylark Group, but they offer crepes and fruit-filled iced tea, making it a very stylish restaurant. There were many families with children and foreigners seen dining there.

This is my first time posting even though I have visited this place several times. This place is perfect for relaxing on a spacious day off, with plenty of newspapers and magazines to read while enjoying a cup of coffee. The staff are friendly, and the food is decent but nothing special. Today, I ordered the "Clubhouse Sandwich with 6 Ingredients for 1298 yen," which includes ham, egg, smoked salmon, cheese, and vegetables. The egg was cooked perfectly, but the sandwich felt like it was missing something to truly be called a clubhouse sandwich. My companion had the "Vegetable Garden Galette for 1518 yen," which had a slightly sweet galette base topped with grilled chicken, bacon, avocado, and other ingredients. However, despite being called a vegetable garden, there were not enough vegetables. The prices are not cheap, so they could be more generous with the ingredients. The blended coffee was average, but personally, I prefer a lighter roast with less acidity and less burnt aroma. Despite these minor flaws, the spacious environment of this place allows you to feel elegant and relaxed, making it a satisfying place to visit.

I went after a long time! It was less crowded compared to usual nights. I ordered the rib roast steak loco moco set. The set came with soup, salad, and the main dish on one plate, and after the meal, ricotta pancakes and a drink were included for 1980 yen, which was a great deal. The pancakes take about 15 minutes, so it's best to order them when you're finishing the main dish.

Since its opening, this shop has been quite popular in the neighborhood with its spacious layout. The parking lot and bicycle parking are always full. You can't see the inside from the outside, but you can estimate how crowded it is by the number of bicycles in the parking lot. The lunch menu is available until late, and there are various happy services such as discounted refills for coffee drinks. The shop offers free WiFi. There are booth seats and sofa seats, so there are often mothers with small children and babies. There is also a private room-like space in the back, where people used to have birthday parties before the pandemic. The highly recommended item is the fluffy pancakes. They come with fruits, sauces, and various toppings. Special pancakes are also available depending on the season. There are also lunch sets that include pancakes at a good price. You can also get takeout drinks and popular bread to go. There are many choices for set drinks.

After finishing the morning business, I went to Musashino Coffee for a break. I had a café latte and caramel whip toast while checking my work. It was my first time visiting, but the interior of the shop was very spacious and there were power outlets for work, making it a very comfortable café.

Skylark Group. It's categorized as a café, but in the end, it's basically a family restaurant... I think? Although Tabelog distinguishes between cafés and coffee shops, what's the difference really? It's Monday at 11:10 am, and surprisingly there's a wait for four people already. I was told I could be seated right away at the counter. Until 10:30 am, they have a limited Morning menu. After that, it's the Grand Menu time. They said there's no lunch menu, but there's a Forest Special for 1738 yen that's available for a limited time. Why is it called Forest though? Shouldn't it be Wood if it's about forests? Inside the store, there's a guy in casual clothes using a laptop, and the other customers are elegantly chatting. They seem to live a good life. You know, the drinks and food here are quite pricey compared to rival stores. Probably because it includes the cost of using the space. In the end, I ordered the Forest Special. You can choose from four main dishes. Today, I went with the Loco Moco. It's not written on the menu, but apparently, you can get extra rice for free. It comes with a drink and Ricotta Pancakes. It's slightly cheaper than ordering everything separately. It was served in about 10 minutes, and it looked just like the picture. The taste was just okay. If this came as a single dish for 1188 yen at a regular restaurant, it would feel expensive. It was my first time trying Ricotta Pancakes. It had a light, snow-like texture, lighter than mousse. It didn't impress me much, but it was a good experience. I spent about 45 minutes there. I think if you stay for about 2 hours, you'd be more satisfied. I felt like I didn't make the most of my visit this time.

A leisurely day out with friends. My companion chose Blue Mountain coffee, while I opted for Ethiopian Mocha. It had a sophisticated flavor with a tangy acidity. I tried a galette for the first time in a while, and it resembled a crepe more than soba noodles. The toppings were served separately, allowing me to savor the aroma of the soba. I'm starting to see how to enjoy a leisurely day within cycling distance. It's not just about envying the fishing spots in Shonan.
