This place is located within a 5-minute walk from Funabori Station. If you're going to a yakiniku restaurant with your family, I recommend going to this all-you-can-eat place. I think the early bird all-you-can-eat option was around 2,480 yen per person... with over 70 types of dishes you can order! As expected from Gyu-Kaku, it's affordable. The quality of the meat at this price point is really good. There are also plenty of side menu options, so I ordered a lot... but I have a small appetite, so maybe ordering a la carte would have been better? However, being able to order without worrying about the cost is really nice! I opted for the all-you-can-drink alcohol, while my family chose the all-you-can-drink soft drinks. It's great that we can choose different drink options. We didn't even spend 10,000 yen for the three of us! Thank you for the meal. We will definitely go back.

Recently, I had been going to expensive yakiniku restaurants, but I decided to go back to basics and visit Gyu-Kaku for the first time in about 10 years. Looking at the menu, there were tempting items like chicken cheese fondue and sukiyaki with cotton candy, but since I was dining alone and couldn't order too many items, I was curious about the simple taste of the meat. Also, I was worried about taking photos alone and potentially being called "creepy" by a nearby table of students, so I skipped taking pictures.
Now, onto the main topic:
- Gyu-Kaku Kalbi M for 590 yen: Steak-like texture with good rice compatibility, great cost performance
- Draft beer for 500 yen: Surprisingly reasonable price, goes well with the satisfying meat
- Upper loin for 790 yen: Dry and not very impressive
- Black Wagyu Kalbi for 890 yen: More refined fat compared to Gyu-Kaku Kalbi, but price is appropriate. I wonder if it's worth trying the one step up Black Wagyu Upper Kalbi for 1280 yen
- Large rice for 350 yen: Bigger than expected, apparently there are two more sizes available. Gyu-Kaku Kalbi lives up to its reputation, with the best cost performance. I could eat this all the time. Among the five famous yakiniku chains in the same price range, I feel like it has the highest satisfaction level. I haven't been to those places in a while and have forgotten the taste, so I should go back and try them again.

I feel like the menu is smaller than I expected. It would be even better if they offered a half size option for the stone pot bibimbap as a closing dish, and if customers could choose the level of spiciness for the yukgaejang. The prices are also on the higher side when you consider them per dish.

I ordered the all-you-can-eat course and as usual, I ordered a lot of side dishes. The seaweed dish was delicious and I ended up getting seconds. The meat was also cooked perfectly and I was very satisfied.

This time, I indulged in the top all-you-can-eat course! The top course offers a wide variety of menu items, including marbled beef, marbled scallops with shells, and cold noodles! It's great to have all-you-can-eat trendy marbled meat! Of course, since I chose this course, I indulged in marbled meat! You have to cut the meat yourself, and it can be a bit troublesome to cook because it takes time, but the quality of the meat is really good, tender, and very easy to eat! I highly recommend the scallops with shells! Although regular scallops are also on the menu, the ones with shells are exceptional! At first, I ordered the regular ones because I thought the shells would be a hassle, but I regretted it later haha. While Gyu-Kaku is known as a chain restaurant where students often go, some adults tend to avoid it. However, it's simply delicious, so I think it's nice to go occasionally!

The king suddenly craved for Harami and visited the restaurant. Since it was the end of the month, Gyu-Kaku was bustling with customers, proving that yakiniku is always popular. The addictive cabbage, Gyu-Kaku kimchi, Gyu-Kaku kalbi, beef tongue, hormone platter, king's harami, and rice were the classic choices. Personally, I prefer eating hormones at a specialized shop rather than Gyu-Kaku. Sorry, Gyu-Kaku. If you choose the king's harami from the menu, you'll be fine! The rice was disappearing quickly. There are still many yakiniku restaurants in Funabori that I want to explore, but I always end up at the reliable Gyu-Kaku. By the way, the atmosphere is mostly filled with salarymen coming after work.

Located a 1-minute walk from Funabori Station, on the second floor of a building. The interior mainly consists of table seats, with a few counter seats available. It is a chain restaurant with budget-friendly all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink menus. This time, I ate until I was full with single items, and it was indeed inexpensive. The menu is very rich in variety of meats and price structure. It's so extensive that you may find yourself unsure of what to order. What's worth mentioning is that the staff here are very friendly. If it's affordable, delicious, and the staff are pleasant, it's sure to become popular.

I visited the Funabori branch for the first time, and it was crowded with families and couples on the weekend. The menu was extensive, ensuring there was something for everyone. Despite a full reservation, I was able to dine at the counter without feeling cramped. I enjoyed the thinly sliced beef dipped in egg, similar to sukiyaki. You can have unlimited refills of rice. Next time, I want to try the all-you-can-eat option. The staff were also very kind and helpful.
