I happened to come across a curry sign while passing by. I was in Itabashi, where there was a 30% discount with Itabashi Pay, so I decided to have lunch here. I chose the expensive menu item, the Omu-rice curry for 1,050 yen including tax. Since there was no menu photo, I couldn't imagine what it would look like, but when it was served, it was a large size and looked like it would be Instagram-worthy. The curry had a mild European taste, and the rice was not white rice but slightly colored and seasoned, although it was not Omu-rice. It was a long time since I found a curry that suited my taste, so I was very satisfied. The lassi for dessert was also good. This time I got a 30% discount with Itabashi Pay, so I plan to use the points I earned next time when I go to eat.

◒ Kapikarei ◒ ▪️2️⃣ Minutes from Itabashi Kuyakushomae Station▪️ This hearty curry is packed with nutrients and will leave you feeling satisfied. It's not too spicy, and pairs perfectly with rice and quinoa. The omurice is cooked just right with ketchup, and the chicken curry is generously portioned. Pickles are served on the side to refresh your palate, and a glass of yogurt at the end will gently settle your stomach. I always wonder why this place doesn't have more customers at night! ▪️3 Chome-10-8 Itabashi, Itabashi City, Tokyo 173-0004 ▪️Opens 11:30-14:30, 18:00-21:00 Wednesday Afternoon, Thursday~¥1000 ▪️#TokyoGourmet #FoodFillingTokyo #TokyoCuisine #ItabashiGourmet

I decided to go towards Itabashi Ward Office Station instead of Itabashi Station, and came across a curry restaurant called "Kapi" where I used to go before. I thought, why not have some curry, so I decided to go in. They had three basic curries - chicken curry, dry curry with onsen egg, and omu-chicken tomato curry, along with a summer limited edition pork curry. I chose the omu-chicken curry. When I ordered, I was recommended the "small" size, and now I understand why. It was huge! Especially the amount of rice was a lot! I'm fine with this amount of curry, but the rice could have been half or two-thirds of this. All curries come with pickles and lassi, which was a perfect palate cleanser. Since it was omu-tomato curry, it had scrambled egg and tomato toppings. Unlike regular white rice with curry, this one had turmeric rice. However, the turmeric rice was a bit clumpy and hard to eat in some parts, probably due to the mixing method. The rice had a texture like it contained brown rice. The curry wasn't too spicy, not heavy with flour, and more like a drinkable curry, making it easy to eat. I felt like there were quite a lot of vegetables in it. Next time, I might keep the curry amount the same but ask for less rice.

It has nothing to do with it, but today I had a sudden craving for curry after a long time, so I was planning to visit Kapi for the first time. However, on the way, I saw "miso soup" written on the lunch board at En's place. For a moment, I thought about going to En's, but the allure of curry was too strong, so I ended up going there instead, haha. I couldn't decide on my order and asked for the most popular dish, but they said all options are consistently good. So, they suggested trying the basic chicken curry for my first time, and I obediently agreed, haha. I also ordered the potato salad with tartar sauce on top. I usually make curry myself, but it takes a lot of effort to perfectly caramelize the finely chopped onions, so I occasionally enjoy curry at restaurants. Long ago, I used to frequent Nile in Higashi Ginza, and more recently, I got hooked on Dhaba India. So, I don't know much about spices, haha. It was a satisfying curry. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again.

I went on a business trip to Itabashi and visited a restaurant I haven't been to in a while, Capy-san. Due to the pandemic, they had been closed or only offering takeout, so I was really looking forward to revisiting. They are currently only seating up to 5 people at a time and only accepting walk-in customers (groups of 2 or more can do takeout). I ordered the small Om Chicken Tomato Curry for 800 yen. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife, with the wife managing the floor and the husband in the kitchen. Orders can take around 20 minutes to be served due to the limited staff, but it's worth the wait. The tomato curry was spicy with 3 pieces of chicken, served with yogurt drink and pickles. The Om has saffron rice inside, giving it a unique flavor like tomato risotto but still maintaining the curry taste. It wasn't as amazing as my previous visit, but it was still delicious. I'm curious about trying their dry curry next time.

▽▼Store Information▼▽ 【Nearest Station】Itabashi City Hall 【Budget】Up to 999 yen 【Purpose】Solo Dinner 【Overview】Located a 5-minute walk from Itabashi City Hall, this spice curry restaurant is slightly off the shopping street. Upon entering the store, the aroma of spices fills the entire space, stimulating the appetite. 【Menu】 - Omurice Curry (price unknown) 【Impression】 This curry combines various spices, with the flavors and aromas of spices complemented by a subtle tomato taste. The creamy sweetness of the omurice perfectly balances the spiciness, creating a dish that allows you to savor both sweet and spicy flavors. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I was working in Itabashi. I went to a curry shop near Itabashi City Hall. It was a little past 12 o'clock. I had to wait for about 2 minutes at the entrance until a seat became available as the first group was leaving. I was tempted by the omurice curry that a white man was eating at the counter, but I ended up ordering the summer limited pork curry in a small size (800 yen) (the regular size is 980 yen). I was curious why pork would be limited to summer, but I was drawn to the word "limited" and ordered it. The kitchen was managed by a man, and the floor was managed by a woman, both working alone, but the curry was served in about 7 minutes. It came with pickles and a mini lassi. The pork was so tender it resembled tofu. As for my doubt, the acidity and sweetness of the tomato were wonderfully highlighted in this curry. If you like tomatoes, this curry is a must-try. Of course, it had a good level of spiciness, and those who want it spicier can use the hot spice on the table (although the spice itself is not very spicy). The rice with barley had a good amount for women (although I could only eat about half of it). If this curry shop were in Shibuya or Omotesando instead of Itabashi, it would definitely appeal to young women. In fact, I rarely have a reason to visit Itabashi if it's not for work. It's a shame. When I got back to the office, I immediately asked a young woman, "Do you like tomatoes?"

I wanted to have something with a spicy kick for lunch near Itabashi City Hall, so I went to Kapi-san. The interior of the restaurant is like a cute cafe, making it easy for a woman to dine alone. The menu describes dishes made with slow-cooked broth, freshly ground spices, vegetables, fruits, and European seasonings. I ordered the Dry Curry with Onsen Tamago (870 yen) and it arrived in about 5 minutes. The dish was beautifully garnished with tomatoes and the presentation was lovely! The taste was a perfect blend of spicy spices, the sweetness of well-cooked vegetables, and the sweetness of fruits. It was delicious! Breaking the onsen tamago and mixing it in made the dish even creamier. The portion was generous and I left feeling satisfied. Women might find the small size portion more suitable. I would love to try other menu items at this authentic curry restaurant.

Rarely, I was invited by my daughter to a curry restaurant called Kapi located in a small shopping street near Itabashi Ward Office Station. The European-style curry has a rich flavor and the Indian curry has a spicy kick. I can feel the originality that the owner chef has put into creating these curries. They are delicious. Among the three curry rice options, I particularly liked the Omu Tomato Chicken Curry. The fruity acidity of the tomato, combined with the sweetness of the omelette, creates a perfect harmony. The rice is a spicy turmeric rice, which is perfect. The other chicken curry and the limited creamy curry are also popular. The restaurant is always crowded with local customers, and by the time we left, they had sold out. I would love to visit again soon. #CurryOverDiscussion #TokyoCurry #ChickenCurry #TomatoCurry #OmeletteRice #OmeletteCurry #ILoveCurry

The area around Itabashi Station in Itabashi Ward, Tokyo. A curry restaurant in the shopping street called Oji Shindo. They close before the usual hours and sometimes run out of food, but the customer service was great when it happened. The curry is made with a broth slow-cooked with ground spices, vegetables, and fruits as a base, with European seasonings added. Their menu mainly consists of three types of curry: Chicken Curry, Dry Curry with Soft-Boiled Egg, and Omelette Chicken Tomato Curry. I tried the small sizes of two curries. The Chicken Curry was spicy with a nice presence of sautéed domestic chicken. The Dry Curry with Soft-Boiled Egg had a deep flavor with a hint of brown sugar. The staff, possibly a married couple, were very warm and friendly. The kindness and consideration they showed reflected in the flavors of the curry.

I have visited this place several times in 2019 and the taste is really addictive. I always end up ordering the omurice curry, but I want to try a different curry next time. The curry comes with lassi and pickles, and the pickles are also delicious. The staff is very friendly and I like them. The normal size portion is huge, so I recommend the small size for those with smaller appetites. I always get the regular size though.

This is my second visit to Omuchiki Tomato Curry. The curry was delicious the first time, so I brought my colleague along this time. The roux itself was the same as the chicken curry, but the combination of egg, tomato, and chicken was enjoyable and matched well. It came out quickly, was satisfyingly filling, and the deliciousness is the best part of this place. I want to come back again.

I went for lunch alone. - Atmosphere: The atmosphere is calm and stylish, with a nice wooden feel. - Ordering process: Upon entering the restaurant, I was shown to my seat. I called a staff member to place my order, and paid at the register. - Crowd: I visited around 12:30 on a weekday. The table seats were full, with only a couple of spots available at the counter. - Access: It is within walking distance from Itabashi City Hall. - Menu: There are 4 types of curry available, each with a mini curry option. Chicken Curry 850, Dry Curry with Onsen Tamago (hot spring egg) 850, Omelette Chicken Tomato Curry 950, Seasonal Curry with Seafood and Seasonal Vegetables in Cream Soup 950. Lunch comes with lassi and pickles. - Service: The staff were friendly and the food was served in about 5 minutes. - Recommended dish: When asked for a recommendation, I was suggested to try the Chicken Curry. It had a strong acidity, no naan, just curry rice. The roux was spicy, medium hot, with a nice texture from the spices. Despite the generous portion, it was easy to eat. The refreshing taste kept me interested, and occasionally I enjoyed the sour pickles to complement the flavor. There was a hint of sweetness, perhaps from grated carrots. It was easy to eat and delicious, with great value for money. I would like to try other curries as well. ^_^

A stylish curry restaurant in Nakamachi. It's a popular place, and during lunchtime on weekends, it was full of couples. I had the omurice curry at the corner seat of the counter, and my husband had the keema curry. We also had a vegetable-rich soup. The curry presentation was quite stylish, but surprisingly, the portion was huge! And it was spicier than expected. They even had extra spices for those who like it extra spicy. This is a recommended place for those who prioritize quantity or want to try authentic curry. Next time, I want to go on an empty stomach and try a different curry!

Curry restaurant located near Nakajuku shopping street, along Oji Shindo. The bright orange sign on the exterior makes it easy to spot. There is a signboard in front of the shop listing the standard menu, and wooden chairs with small blackboards announcing the limited menu. Inside, there is an L-shaped counter surrounding the kitchen, 2-4 person tables, and a large table near the entrance that can seat about 6 people. The restaurant is popular among families with young children and solo female diners. The three main dishes are "Chicken Curry," "Dry Curry with Soft-Boiled Egg," and "Omelette Chicken Tomato Curry," all of which come in a decent portion size. They are not too spicy or sweet, with a great balance of tomato acidity and spices. Each dish comes with lassi and homemade pickles, priced at 850-950 yen, making it a great choice for a luxurious weekend lunch. There are seasonal limited-time menus, such as the Pork Curry in the past, which was also delicious with thick slices of braised pork belly. Recently, I tried the autumn menu item "Tomato Cream Soup Curry" with salmon, potatoes, mushrooms, and fresh tomatoes. It was delicious, with a rich curry base and generous portions of ingredients. Overall, a satisfying meal. I don't know about the spring and winter menus, but I'm sure they are also tasty! 😄

A curry restaurant in a shopping street. It has a cafe-like appearance and feels relatively new. I had passed by a few times and was curious, so when I saw they offered takeout, I decided to try it. I purchased the Keema Curry for takeout. I had to wait a bit for it to be ready. The atmosphere is similar to an Indian curry restaurant that offers takeout, but the interior is simple and somewhat relaxed. The most important part, the taste, was really delicious. When I reheated it at home, I thought about wanting to eat it at the restaurant. So, I think it's a good place to stop by again when I'm in the area.
