I had never been to Torikizoku until now, but my child wanted to eat yakitori, so I looked for a place where it would be okay to bring kids. The staff at the Chitose Funabashi branch in Setagaya was very attentive and accommodating to families with children, which was great. With everything priced at 350 yen, it's easy to calculate and reassuring even when you have limited cash on hand. We ordered a Mega Highball, Ginger Ale, Potato Mayonnaise, Chicken Skin Chips, Cheese Tsukune, Beef Skewers, Momokizoku Yaki, Tori Shiru Men, Tori Zosui, and more. Each skewer comes in a set of two. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations because it's a chain restaurant, but the food was surprisingly delicious. My child enjoyed it too, so we'll definitely go back again. When it comes to easy and affordable yakitori, Torikizoku is the place to go. Everything is priced at 298 yen, which is wallet-friendly. I particularly like their potato salad. The overall flavor is on the strong side. I wonder if they make their profit through drink orders? Well, at this price, I can't complain at all. But I got really thirsty after leaving.

I ordered the Cheese Dakgalbi skewers from the new autumn/winter menu, which claimed to be spicy. It did have a nice level of spiciness, and I was surprised by how tender the chicken breast meat was. The cheese was just regular melted cheese, but it paired well with the Gochujang-based sauce. The beer was also good, with a nice crispness and bitterness. When I was paying, the staff asked for my thoughts on the Cheese Dakgalbi, and I was told, "Honestly, that's the best new menu item we have."

Cost performance is excellent. The food comes out quickly after ordering. It's cheap. The yakitori itself lacks a deep flavor of grilling, but the ingredients seem to be of good quality. The alcohol doesn't have a strange izakaya-like smell, so I think it's a good place for drinks.

The service at this restaurant is excellent, with staff coming to take your order promptly. The food is consistently delicious, and they are open until 2:00 am, which is convenient for late-night drinks.

My first time at Torikizoku in Umeda. I went with a group of young people and we ordered the all-you-can-eat course. I was impressed by how much they could eat as I drank my beer nonstop back in December. Tonight, I decided to visit the Torikizoku near my place. There were many people waiting outside the restaurant, so it must be popular. I started with a toast with beer, but the glass was probably less than 350cc. I quickly finished three glasses. The grilled chicken was served hot each time I ordered, and I recommend ordering as you go. Apologies for the small details.

It's been two years since I last visited Toriki, but it's still very popular among young people. Recently, I saw a group of three young men and women at the table next to me, and a young man in his 20s joined them for drinks. However, when the waiter asked for proof of age, they didn't have anything with a photo ID. Instead of causing a scene, they all quietly left the restaurant. It's not like the old days when we would have made a fuss about it! The restaurant served dishes like Matsuba chicken, heart skewers, Caesar salad with soft-boiled egg, cheese pancake, and chicken rice in a pot. The skewers were large in portion, and the chicken rice was delicious with chicken, burdock, carrots, and fish cake. The overall experience was enjoyable, despite the initial wait and some dishes being served too quickly.

You can feel the desire for young people to drink without worrying about money! The layout of the restaurant is designed in a way that you don't have to worry about the people next to you, so you can drink and chat with your friends without being interrupted. It's amazing how this kind of place doesn't feel stuffy, and everyone seems to be enjoying their drinks. Unlike old izakayas where salarymen would complain and argue with their bosses and colleagues, these lively places have a more cheerful atmosphere. The menu may change slightly, but it's simple and classic. There are also rice dishes available, making it a great place for young people. Unlike large izakaya chains that often rely on frozen or fried foods, this place seems to be well-prepared and that's why it's so good.

Yesterday, I met up with a friend and went to an izakaya to have some drinks. We decided to go to Torikizoku, a famous izakaya known for its 280 yen flat-rate menu. Since I often do food and beverage photography, I had been curious about this place. We met up at 5:30 pm, but found out that it didn't open until 6 pm, so we had to wait a bit. We started with some draft beer, which was also only 280 yen (excluding tax), so cheap! We ordered edamame and chilled tomatoes while also ordering various recommended dishes. I heard that ordering the recommended items from the menu would lead to a higher satisfaction, so we mainly ordered the specialty dishes. The new torikin fried chicken, heart sauce, momo kizoku yaki, and mune kizoku yaki were all delicious and worth the price. The portions were generous, and the atmosphere quickly filled up with customers. We switched to shochu and continued drinking. We noticed that they also had ramen on the menu, so we ordered the chicken white broth ramen. The ramen was okay, with a light chicken white broth and chewy noodles. It wasn't the best ramen I've had, but it was decent. Surprisingly, it tasted better after drinking. The bill came out to be 5500 yen for two people, which was cheaper than expected. Overall, we were satisfied with the food and the value for money at Torikizoku. I would consider coming back again since it's a convenient and trendy spot in the neighborhood.

May 2014 revisit. Chitofuna Yakitori restaurant is still the clear winner here, with a large crowd of young people as usual. Today, the place is bustling with many young customers, including solo female diners. The ramen shop, Sei-ya and Himukaya, are struggling due to a price war. The counter has about 7 seats, and there are 7 seats in a row as well as around 40 small table seats. The back table seats have high booth walls and can be noisy when mixed with energetic young people, so be careful. I recommend sitting at the counter or the seats in the front. On this day, after eating and drinking a lot, the bill came to 4500 yen. Unfortunately, there are no toilets here. Find the right time and give it a try! October 2011. I have visited a few times recently, and the other day we got an additional 10% off with a campaign. Two of us drank and ate a lot, finishing with freshly cooked chicken rice, and the bill was only 3900 yen! It's a really appreciated place in these tough economic times. Recommended items are draft beer, large glasses of sake, wine, the signature Torikizoku skewers (great volume), liver, tsukune, Tori-nanban, and the finishing chicken rice, etc. Not only is it cheap, but it's also delicious and generous compared to "Dkichi" nearby. However, be prepared for a long wait for the skewers and dishes to arrive. For example, yesterday the salad came out quickly, but the skewers took about 25 minutes to arrive. If they improve on this, it would be highly recommended.

A few years ago, when I first went to the "Koenji branch," I was amazed by the prices - everything for 280 yen, including two large yakitori skewers for 280 yen. And they are all delicious! The prices and taste have remained consistent since then, unlike the recently started "all-you-can-eat and drink" places. Beer is also 280 yen, and they have various cocktails for 280 yen. The signature dish, "Jumbo Torikizoku Yaki," is big and my favorite is the spicy flavor. The juicy tsukune skewers are also 280 yen for two. I can't resist the Camembert cheese croquettes, even though they are a bit heavy. The refillable cabbage plate seems to be ordered at almost every table. The original dressing Japanese-style vegetable salad is also 280 yen. The liver skewers, chicken meatballs, spicy cucumber pickles, and various other dishes are all 280 yen each. The Torikizoku rice, cooked from the order, is a must-try for 280 yen. The dessert, chocolate truffle ice cream, is a perfect way to end the meal. There are many other skewer dishes available, so check out their menu for more options. They also offer a 2800 yen all-you-can-eat and drink party plan, which I would love to try someday.

Second time posting. Last month, I had 6-7 cups of shochu with hot water, but each one had a different temperature and amount. It was so slow. The first one was almost like water with only 4 centimeters from the bottom, I was surprised. Then the next one was overflowing and scalding hot. No exaggeration. I mentioned it once before, but since it didn't change, I decided to stop trying to make it funny and just accept it. However, this time during the busy 8 o'clock hour, the service was quick and the hot water with shochu was consistent in temperature and quantity. I don't think it was because of my previous review, but I felt bad leaving it as it was, so I wanted to post this.

This is a great izakaya for club activities where everything is priced at 315 yen per dish. Some dishes have generous portions. They also offer free salted cabbage for you to enjoy. The cabbage is thinly sliced and dressed with salt, very tasty. Overall, the prices are reasonable for an izakaya. The chicken dishes are especially delicious, you can really taste the difference. As expected from a yakitori place, the grilled chicken skewers are tasty. Although I find 2 skewers per plate a bit expensive, the skewers are long. The rice dishes for 315 yen are a good deal.

The first time dining alone at Torikizoku. The cost performance is always high no matter when you go. The service is lively but not pushy, so it feels good. The quality of the draft beer is outstanding. The foam is creamy, the glass is clean, the highest quality!
