I had lunch here on my way back from Shibasaki for errands before heading to the station. It was already past the lunch break on a weekday, so I was seated promptly without having to wait. The table seats felt a bit narrow between the table and the seats, but it was not a problem. The hot water tap at each table was twist to dispense type, which I found convenient as it was available on both sides. They also had reduced-salt soy sauce available. I ordered a mixed plate of tuna and albacore, and Hokkaido scallops, while my dining partner had shrimp, tuna, squid, and inari sushi, along with udon. I ordered jumbo steamed scallops with soy butter sauce, a mix of tsubugai and hokkigai clams, and a special sushi set with three pieces (minami maguro chutoro, toro katsuo tataki, and live-shelled squid). We also shared tuna tataki maki, shrimp tempura maki, pastrami beef maki, and eggplant with fried tuna slices. This restaurant may look like a conveyor belt sushi place, but there are no conveyor belts. You order using a tabletop terminal, and the dishes are brought to you by a "bullet train." The service was quick, and the sushi rice had a nice balance of sweetness and firmness. The ingredients were fresh, and the fried items were served hot. The jumbo steamed scallops were not as "jumbo" as expected, but they were tasty with a light seasoning. The miso soup with clams had nine clams in it. The fried eggplant with tuna was a unique dish that tasted great. The thick rolled omelette seemed like it might have been reheated from frozen, which was a bit disappointing. After the meal, I had a hot coffee, while my dining partner had a cafe latte, both served in paper cups brought by the staff. The coffee seemed to be made from a coffee machine and had a moderate taste that was easy to drink. They had a good selection of 100 yen sushi options and special promotions, which was nice. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by my first visit to Fish Be, and I had a great dining experience. Thank you for the meal.
