Visited alone for lunch. This cafe also sells apparel and offers a wide selection of craft beers. There were some rare beers available, and I tried the Paperback Brewery's Triple Hazy IPA. Despite its high alcohol content of 10.5%, it was surprisingly easy to drink. The staff were casual, but it matched the atmosphere of the place. I would visit again if I'm in the area. Thank you for the meal.

Wow, this place is awesome. It has a nostalgic, old-school American vibe. The staff are friendly and the menu is delightfully varied. The food is just right for Japanese tastes. Whenever I'm tired from shopping in Ameyoko, I can't help but stop by here. Ah, it's so nice. Food and drink really are the best!!

Good morning. I am Private Tsuchinoko. I felt like eating a sandwich, so I came to CoffeebyJalana in Ameyoko, Ueno. Today, I am getting takeout. I arrived at 11 o'clock. This place seems to offer delicious coffee as well, but I have been curious about their tasty hot sandwiches! Sandwiches in their raw state are displayed in the case. They even have red bean butter. Sounds like it would go well with coffee. I was undecided on what to get, but the "Beef Pastrami" seemed appealing, so I decided to order that. The staff asked if I wanted it "grilled" or "as is," and of course, I requested it grilled. They use an oven toaster called 'WEVE★STAR' here! It must be a toaster they take pride in. My expectations are high! They also have alcoholic drinks in addition to coffee. I decided to eat it at home. The packaging looks like this. Let's open it! Wow! It's nicely grilled and looks delicious. There's a lot of beef inside! I decided to cut it in half for the photo shoot. However... the bread is so hard that it's difficult to cut... I struggled, but managed to cut it! Looks so delicious!! When I tried the hot sandwich... it's so delicious! I'm sure it would have been even tastier if I had eaten it hot at the restaurant. There's a lot of beef in it, giving it a good texture. The bread is nicely grilled, making the ingredients inside even more fresh and juicy. Hmm... after eating it, I thought that the seasoning is actually quite light. I personally prefer it to be more salty. I would like to try a hot sandwich with cheese next time! Oh, it was so delicious! I definitely want to come back (´∀`) Thank you to everyone who always reads my reviews. After casually drinking in the streets of Ueno and looking for the next place to visit, I realized that as a working adult, I should probably enjoy a delicious coffee instead of alcohol. It was already late on a Saturday night, and most of the traditional restaurants were packed with people waiting in line. As I wandered around, I remembered a place in Ameyoko where you could get coffee even late at night. To my surprise, there was a trendy shop with an American-style atmosphere, selling imported goods and serving coffee. The scenery may have changed since my middle school days, but Ameyoko still retains its fashionable charm. I ordered a Honey Latte, which was delicious and perfect as a dessert. The music, the stylish seating in the back of the shop, and the overall ambiance were all great. I hope more places like this, with a mix of American style and local charm, pop up in other cities as well. As I left, I noticed they also had a variety of craft beers and gourmet hot sandwiches. I'll definitely come back again.

At Ueno Ameyoko, when you feel like you haven't had enough to drink! A cafe & bar with apparel shop attached, Coffee by Jalana, starting from 500 yen for one drink. Ueno "Must-visit points": ◆ For when you feel like you haven't had enough to drink! ◆ For those who like stylish bottled beers ◆ For friends/solo visitors🚶♀️ ▷▷ Order ▷▷ Moretti Beer 600 yen Gin and Tonic 500 yen A classic Italian beer with a gentleman with a mustache as its trademark. It has a smooth and easy-to-drink taste with a hint of hops and a firm bitterness at the end. Goes perfectly with nuts. Located right in the middle of Ameyoko under the JR viaduct, this cafe is run by a stylish import apparel shop. The fridge inside the store is filled with cute labeled craft beers, offering a wide variety of imported products, making it quite fun and enjoyable. There are counter and table seats outside the store, as well as a counter inside!

JR Okachimachi Station is a 2-3 minute walk away. It's a cafe run by an adjacent import wear shop located right in the middle of Ameyoko under the JR overpass. As the name suggests, it seems to be a cafe that mainly serves coffee, but the fridge inside is packed with craft beer, which drew me in. I visited once when I was quite drunk over half a year ago, so my memory is fuzzy. I revisited recently, so I will write a review.
One weekend around 3:00 PM, I was wandering around Ameyoko and feeling thirsty, so I decided to take a break here. Let's first check out the craft beers lined up in the fridge.
[Order Details]
- Revison IPA (price forgotten)
- TAMA PAR (330 yen)
I chose a classic product from an American IPA brewery. It's served in a plastic cup, which is actually convenient. Enjoying the strong bitterness of the IPA in the miscellaneous atmosphere under the overpass is a different kind of deliciousness. Feeling a bit hungry, I added a TAMA PAR egg sandwich from the snack corner. The sandwich, like others on the menu, is served on a hot plate, giving the bread a crispy flavor that goes well with craft beer.
- SIERRA NEVADA HAZY Little THING IPA (price forgotten)
Feeling good, I ordered another one, this time a hazy IPA from a well-known American brewery. It's not as dense as nectar juice, but still easy to drink. It's perfect for enjoying outdoors.
The cafe has a stylish atmosphere, likely due to being run by an import wear shop, and the selection of craft beers is quite extensive and unique. The variety of imported beers is more than domestic ones, which is nice. After enjoying two IPAs during the day and feeling slightly tipsy, I think the craft beer experience in the middle of Ameyoko is also great, alongside the traditional motsu-yaki and standing bars. I look forward to using this place regularly in the future. Thank you for the meal.

There is a shop under the elevated structure on the way from Okachimachi to Ueno. They have tables and chairs outside the shop, and since it is under the elevated structure, there is a roof as well. The An Butter Cream Cheese sandwich costs 400 yen (tax included), and a small iced coffee costs 299 yen (tax included). From 11:00 to 15:00 on weekdays, you can get a set for 550 yen (tax included). The sandwiches are displayed in the showcase, but when you order, they toast it and serve it to you. The sandwich is crispy toast with plenty of red bean paste and cream cheese! It is warm and delicious. The coffee is also very tasty. The set for 550 yen is a great deal.

After eating at Ren Gyokuan, on my way home passing through Ameyoko, I noticed a new coffee shop called Coffee by Jalana. It seemed to be connected to an apparel shop. I asked about the coffee and a stylish barista recommended their well-balanced blend with good acidity and bitterness. I ordered a small size coffee (299 yen) and decided to try their Cheese Beef Sandwich (440 yen) as well. The coffee had a nice balance of flavors, not too bitter, and I could enjoy it black. The Cheese Beef Sandwich was a hot sandwich, but the beef was not solid like meat sauce, making it a bit difficult to eat even though the taste was not bad. They also had an egg sandwich that my wife likes, so I purchased a Tamaparu (330 yen) with Parma ham and a coffee to go.

ARC BLEND S 299 yen
After having lunch in Okachimachi, I got a takeout coffee here. It takes about 5 minutes to prepare because they grind the coffee beans after you order. Let's wait for it. They use 3 types of beans, but even the staff couldn't tell me the varieties. (^^;; It's a small size, but the amount is like a medium size from other companies, so it feels like a good deal. It has a deep roast aroma and a taste with sweetness lingering in the mouth at the end. Not bad at all. Enjoyed it~

I tried the iced coffee and chicken over rice at the coffee shop Coffe by Jalana, located in Ueno Ameyoko, a long-established import shop. The chicken over rice had a taste reminiscent of New York and was very delicious. They also offer hot sandwiches and cafe au lait, which I would like to try next time. #UenoCafe #OkachimachiCafe #ChickenOverRice #Coffee #cafe #jalana
