This is a Japanese-style creative cuisine izakaya located on the second floor near the Akabane-side crossing at Jujo Station. It is a well-known restaurant in Jujo, but if you didn't know about it, you would never think to go in. The staff here are probably all male. They always greet you cheerfully with matching T-shirts that give off a sports club vibe. The only downside is that you have to take off your shoes at the entrance, and the shoe removal area is quite narrow. If you're wearing boots, you might struggle a bit (laughs). The seating consists of about 20 sunken kotatsu-style seats (separated by curtains unless for group use), a table for four, and counter seats. There is also a spacious private room hidden at the back. The menu is handwritten in a unique font that almost makes you want it to be an "izakaya font." It is divided into regular menu items and today's recommendations. While menus with photos like chain restaurants are nice, this handwritten menu gives off a very warm and lovely feeling. The dishes range from fish to meat, and there are plenty to choose from. You can select from about six types of sashimi for the carpaccio. There is no wrong choice when it comes to the food here. Especially recommended are the fresh fish dishes. Delicious food paired with delicious drinks in a warm atmosphere makes you want to keep drinking. When it comes to creative cuisine restaurants, some places only give you a small portion even if you order one dish for four people, but this place is enjoyable even with four people. Since this restaurant is always busy, it's a good idea to make a reservation before going.

The shop was just the right size, with every seat looking comfortable and well-designed. The counter seats had fluffy cushions in sunken kotatsu style, which was nice. We were able to get in without a reservation, but the place was full afterwards, so it seems to be quite popular locally. The friendly and attentive service was also pleasant. The wasabi that came with the sashimi platter was fresh wasabi, and its texture enhanced the deliciousness of the fish. I forgot to take a picture, but the marinated grilled chicken was very juicy and incredibly delicious. The popular menu item, the rolled omelette, was fluffy, and all the other dishes were also delicious. I would like to visit this restaurant again.

I was looking for a restaurant where I could make a reservation for 5-10 people for a university alumni association gathering. The customer service at this restaurant was excellent! I made a reservation through Tabelog, and right after I made the reservation, they called me to confirm the details for the reservation day. I mentioned that the exact number of people wouldn't be confirmed until the day before, and they kindly assured me that it was okay to change the number of people and the course content until the day before. I haven't visited the restaurant yet, but I'm looking forward to it. We had the 4500 yen course on the day of the reservation. I personally like digging kotatsu tables more than chairs, so I was happy about that. The course was relatively reasonable for the content, which was also good. It might be nice to have a slightly higher-priced course as well. This time we had the all-you-can-drink option, but next time I would like to try ordering various types of sake individually. I got too drunk towards the end and couldn't take any photos... Thank you for the meal!

The restaurant is conveniently located near the station! It was my first visit, and the atmosphere of the place was really nice. They offer individual sashimi platters, which were perfect for a casual drink. The fish was fresh. The white liver sashimi was excellent! The grilled chicken with sauce was juicy and delicious. The last dish, Shinshu soba, was also very tasty. The owner used to be a soba noodle maker, which explains the quality. This restaurant has definitely made it onto my list of favorites!

Located just inside the shopping street in front of Jujo Station in Kita Ward, there is an izakaya called "On". I went there with two friends. It is a creative Japanese cuisine izakaya that offers a variety of sashimi and sake. They also serve game dishes, so you can enjoy both fish and meat. The menu overall is well-balanced and the restaurant is very user-friendly.

It was my first time, but thank you for preparing a good seat despite the busy weekend hours! The hall staff were excellent, and their recommendations for drinks and food were helpful. I will definitely use this place again!
I visited "饗酒堂 温 on" on a holiday in January 2018 around 7 pm. The restaurant is located about a 2-minute walk from Jujo Station. The store on the 2nd floor of the building is just the right size. The restaurant was about half full with customers. I sat in a tatami room and enjoyed a bottle of beer and "美和久保 甲州 百" wine for ¥4,000. The appetizer was fried white fish with tartar sauce. I also had some dishes such as a flounder sashimi for ¥700, mackerel roll for ¥700, special salad for ¥600, grilled short rib beef with rock salt for ¥980, cheese for ¥450, fried cartilage for ¥450, and 6 pieces of oden for ¥650. The food quality was decent, but the prices were a bit high, especially for the alcohol. The service was excellent, with attentive staff who quickly noticed and responded to customer orders. Overall, it's a good option for a nice izakaya experience in the Jujo area, despite the slightly high prices.

Located near the north exit of Jujo Station, this restaurant is like a hidden gem near the railroad crossing. We used it for a small year-end party, and it's perfect for leisurely drinking and eating. The variety of alcohol is amazing, with a wide selection of shochu and sake from different regions. And the food that goes with the drinks is delicious! It's really nice to be able to enjoy high-quality fish in Jujo. The staff's service was also pleasant, making it a place I would definitely recommend to others.

Located in a shopping street with an arcade near Juttenji Station, "On" seems to be a popular izakaya in the local area. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is lively, and the attentive manager carefully observes the customers. With a single call, he enthusiastically explains today's specials and recommended dishes, highlighting their unique features. Today's special menu is a dish featuring nanohana sourced from Kochi, meant to be eaten raw with miso or salt. The nanohana is crunchy and fragrant, making it delicious beyond words. The menu also includes creative dishes such as iburigakko and cream cheese, oyster gratin with blue cheese, giant rolled omelette, and diced fish with chili oil. When ordering sake, they recommend suitable snacks, and when ordering a highball, they promptly suggest a fragrant snack. It is truly impressive how the manager pays attention to every detail. With the increase of chain izakayas focusing on appearance and operation like convenience stores, offering standard dishes, and service, a restaurant like this, which cares for its customers, is truly appreciated. Once the year-end party season calms down, I will definitely come back!

Tenjo Night. In the bustling city of Tenjo with various shops and plenty of stories, there is a somewhat ordinary restaurant. It is located on the second floor of a shopping street, giving off a slightly intimidating vibe. I decided to give it a try based on a recommendation from a junior. First, you take off your shoes at the entrance. The seating is in a sunken kotatsu style, allowing for a relaxed experience. Since it was past 10 pm, there were hardly any other customers. We started with a toast with beer and ordered some dishes. The menu offers sashimi, grilled dishes, and fried foods, with a creative Japanese cuisine vibe. We ordered dishes like salt-grilled Oyama chicken, deep-fried horse mackerel, and bean sprouts with salted kelp. The flavors of the dishes were surprisingly delicious. Sometimes restaurants with flashy appearances may experiment with unique seasonings that don't always work, but that wasn't the case here. As the food was enjoyable, we switched to shochu. They had a variety of shochu options, including some unfamiliar ones like sake lees shochu. I opted for sweet potato shochu, which was also a good choice. For the finale, we ordered champon yakisoba, made with champon noodles. The chewy noodles were delightful. The staff were attentive and accommodating, making our experience enjoyable. Although we didn't have much time to linger, I would like to visit again.

Located just a 1-minute walk from Jujo Station North Exit, this restaurant is on the second floor at the end of a small road near Saito Sakaba. The sign is visible, but the narrow staircase may make it seem a bit intimidating to enter. However, once you gather the courage to climb the stairs, you'll be greeted by a chic and sophisticated atmosphere that doesn't feel typical of Jujo. It's a great place for a date or to invite business associates. The seating includes four tables and a counter, and the staff provides exceptionally polite service. The menu offers a wide selection of fish dishes and a variety of drinks, with daily specials like sashimi. The complimentary starter, "Grilled Eggplant in Dashi Broth," sets high expectations with its deliciously smoky flavor. The "Assorted Sashimi (M)" for 1,100 yen is a perfect size for two people, featuring striped jack, Pacific saury, firefly squid, and salmon. The "Assorted Dried Fish" for 1,050 yen from Owase, Mie Prefecture, is perfect with sake. Other options like the "Parmesan and Tomato Salad" and "Assorted Oshinko" are equally delicious and beautifully presented. The extensive selection of sake, including favorites like "Hanagaki" from Fukui, as well as shochu, plum wine, and trendy highballs, make this place worth the slightly higher prices compared to other Jujo restaurants. It's advisable to make a reservation, especially on weekends, as even Sundays can be packed.

I first visited this place about 5 years ago, and it stands out in the crowded area of Jujo with its slightly higher prices. However, the delicious food makes the prices worth it. I highly recommend the dashimaki tamago, which can be topped with mentaiko or cheese. It's large and satisfying to eat. The hot dishes are generous in portion size, and the salads are also plentiful. The warm egg dressing is really good. They have a wide variety of drinks, especially shochu and sake. The manager can recommend a drink that goes well with your food. The atmosphere is calm and perfect for those who want to relax and enjoy their drinks.

A cozy izakaya located close to Jutaro Station. The friendly and warm service left a good impression.
- Special salad (large): A generous portion with a tasty dressing. Even the large size was easy to finish.
- Assorted sashimi platter: Octopus, salmon, white fish, and tuna with ponzu sauce.
- Oyama chicken wings with yuzu pepper flavor: Perfectly juicy and flavorful.
- Tender pork with spicy sauce: Not a huge portion, but the meat was tender and the sauce was just right.
- Dashimaki tamago with mentaiko cheese: Tasty, but lacking in the mentaiko flavor.
- Mentaiko carbonara yakisoba: A creative idea with delicious sauce, but the combination with Chinese noodles was a bit off.
- Shochu on the rocks: Served in a large glass with plenty of ice, it was a delight to have it poured generously in front of you. The cozy atmosphere made regulars stay longer than intended.

I have used this restaurant several times. Whenever I go, it's quite crowded. The staff occasionally engage with customers in a nice way, which is great. The restaurant is not very spacious, so when it's busy, it can be a bit lively, but all the menu items are delicious. They have a wide variety of drinks, and dishes like oden and sashimi are all tasty. The bacon and cheese (I forgot the official menu name) was very delicious, and the smoked cheese was also tasty. In terms of convenience (food, drinks, service, card payment), it may be quite good in Jyujo. It's a lovely atmosphere, but it may not be the best place for a group of four older men to go.

I have only been to this place a few times, but each time the taste seems to decline. The atmosphere is nice, but I tend to avoid it because it seems to cater more towards young people. It's like the trendy shochu dining places from a while back. Except for a few long-standing establishments, many places in Jujo seem to compromise on taste. Preserving the taste is a very difficult and unglamorous task, and I think the high turnover in the shopping district may be a contributing factor. The manager's customer service style doesn't sit well with me, as it feels like I become the center of attention. Some people may like that, and that might be why the place is still in business, but it's not my preference so I won't be visiting again. A non-existent Jujo with a 4-star rating. I hope they can improve. I only take photos of places that impress me, so lately it's only been of places that don't exist. It's a given that good food comes at a price, so I keep searching...

I visited a friend's place nearby and we went together. The location is less than a 2-minute walk from Jujo Station. It's conveniently located right in front of the station. The interior of the restaurant has sunken kotatsu-style seating in a cozy atmosphere. Being on the 2nd floor, it feels like a hidden gem where you can relax and unwind. The dim lighting creates a nice mood. It seems like a great place to stop by after work or for a date. The highlight of the meal was the assorted sashimi platter. The colorful array of fish was not only visually appealing but also delicious. The platter had around 3-4 different types of fish, and I was surprised that it only cost 1,000 yen. If you want to enjoy some delicious and relaxing food, this is the place to go! Thank you for a wonderful time.
