I visited this place for the first time because I was craving Nihari. I ordered Nihari and Biryani (for two people), along with salad, a drink, and a choice of rice, naan, or roti - maybe because it was lunchtime? The waiter didn't provide much explanation about the menu, so it's better to ask questions if you're unsure about anything. The Biryani came with raita and was delicious. I usually prefer mutton as the main meat, but the chicken was also flavorful and filling. The Nihari, which I hadn't had in a while, was rich and had a thick texture. The tender mutton and flavorful soup were excellent! Nihari is known as a curry that you eat with oil, but this one felt quite mild. It had a strong flavor, so I found myself wanting a bit more saltiness, maybe because my taste buds are used to saltier South Indian dishes. The kitchen staff were all friendly and cheerful, and I had a great time there.

I ordered Mutton Nihari, which comes with a choice of rice, naan, or roti. I chose naan. Communication was a bit difficult. The set also includes salad and a drink, all for 1320 yen, which is reasonable. The Mutton Nihari had a light taste with a subtle mutton flavor. The soup seemed to be the dominant flavor. The salad and naan were beautifully presented. The dishes and presentation were elegant. The mutton meat was tender. It was delicious, but I prefer a stronger, wilder mutton flavor. Next time, I want to try the Biryani.

Chicken Biryani priced at 1,100 yen. It will be served in 10 minutes. First impression is the huge portion. It's a challenge for me to finish it all. The Biryani is lightly seasoned and not too flavorful, making it easy to eat. On the downside, it can feel a bit unsatisfying even after eating a lot. The chicken with bones is also big. The spiciness of the finely chopped onion in the raita for flavor variation stands out, which I'm not a fan of. Since it's Halal, alcohol is not served.

I heard that the Nihari at Habibi, a Pakistani and Indian restaurant in Nishiojima, is delicious, so I visited for the first time. The restaurant is located on the first floor of an apartment building. When I entered, there were a few groups of customers who came and went, but I was the only Japanese person there. The staff spoke good Japanese, which made me feel at ease. It seems they recently raised their prices, as now the Nihari comes with a mini salad and a roti for 1,200 yen. The mutton Nihari was tender, with the meat easily falling off the bone. It was slightly spicy with just the right amount of saltiness, and I couldn't stop eating the soup. I barely took a break and quickly finished half of it. Inside the bones, there was a creamy marrow that I savored by sucking it out. I also ordered the Chapli Kabab, which was served with the sauce already spread on top and grilled to perfection. It had a fragrant and spicy flavor that made me crave for beer, but this is a halal restaurant so alcohol is not served. I enjoyed the dessert named Habibi Kheer, which was made of rice cooked in milk, sugar, cardamom, almonds, pistachios, raisins, a hint of coconut, and a touch of honey. Perhaps they used honey-soaked raisins in it. Overall, it was a delightful meal. Next time, I'll try their extensive vegetarian menu.

When I revisited after 5 years, the interior of the restaurant had been renovated. I ordered Beef Paya (1,100 yen), Fish Fry (3 pieces for 600 yen), and Dill Nan (350 yen). The Beef Paya was generously portioned. The dishes were served quickly. The set Naan was tear-shaped, while the Dill Nan was circular. The menu listed the Fish Fry as red snapper, but it turned out to be pangasius.

Beef curry with rice. Just 2 pieces of Shammi Kebab. This Pakistani restaurant is so delicious that even with other tasty Indian restaurants nearby, I can't help but come here. It's located in a slightly old housing complex, so some people may not find it visually appealing, but the atmosphere is nice.

On the first floor of the Nishiojima housing complex, there is a tenant with cheerful staff who sing while serving customers. I ordered the Nihari (1000 yen) and Roti (200 yen) that I had my heart set on. Nihari is rare to find in eateries, so it was a valuable choice. The Nihari I was served was spicy as requested, with a rich soup that was delicious. The meat was tender and easy to eat. The Roti had a light texture and became more enjoyable with each bite, surpassing even Naan. Although I have only had Nihari a few times before, this one was outstandingly delicious. After finishing my meal, I wanted something sweet, but they didn't have any desserts available today. So, I tried the Gulab Jamun (90 yen) and the Masala Chai (250 yen) from the menu. The single piece of hot Gulab Jamun was incredibly tasty. The Masala Chai was easy to drink and satisfying. It's great to have such delicious and affordable food available even during dinner time. This is a non-alcoholic establishment, so be cautious if you're looking to drink. However, the food is so good that you won't even miss having alcohol. Overall Rating: ★★★★★★★★★ 9/10. Certified as a great restaurant!

During the daytime on weekdays, the shop in the residential area was not crowded. I visited for the second time seeking biryani. Last time I had mutton, this time I had chicken. I enjoyed the biryani while sprinkling the raita. The portion was generous and satisfying. I felt like they cooked the biryani properly here. There are many delicious-looking dishes like nihari, so I plan to try them little by little.

I decided to eat outside. It's not common to eat curry outside. There were two types of curry and a kids curry. I was worried about how the kids curry would turn out, but they seemed to enjoy it. The portion size was a bit big though.

I usually order dishes like Nihari, Haleem, and Biryani, but today I decided to try something different. I had a delicious lamb hamburger called "Chapli Kebab" to get my protein fix, and I also enjoyed some baked eggplant dish called "Baingan Bartha" with roti. The Chapli Kebab was meaty and full of flavor, absolutely delicious! When asked about the spice level for the Baingan Bartha, I hesitated and ended up requesting it to be "medium." Unfortunately, it turned out to be a bit lacking in spice or flavor. I asked a friend for advice on how to inquire about the spice level next time, and they suggested asking the chef to serve it with the level of spice they think is delicious. The Baingan Bartha was so good that I ended up ordering an extra serving, making it a satisfying weekend food adventure filled with rich Muslim cuisine.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor of an apartment complex, where children of various nationalities play and parents' angry voices can be heard, bringing back nostalgic memories for me. I ordered mutton biryani and chicken karahi with cheese naan. I thought I was ordering them separately, but they came as a set without any choice. A salad was served first, followed by a drink order. I wonder if it's after Ramadan. The cheese naan was simple in appearance, but the karahi and biryani were delicious. The cinnamon in the biryani had a high-quality taste that felt different from others. It was fantastic. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I used it for lunch. The lunch set is 700 yen! I chose the Seafood Curry (medium spicy), Naan, and Lassi. It was brought out after the salad. It was really delicious! You can have seconds of Naan. This is too cheap for 700 yen! Thank you for the meal!

During lunchtime, I wanted to go with my Indian friend but got turned down. However, I found this place through Google and it's pretty hard to understand but they have parking. In the end, I don't have much connection to this area but it's good to know for future reference. They accept payment through mobile apps too. I ordered the special set which includes two curries with chicken, seekh kebab, and a drink, which seems like a good deal. I chose the dal and mutton curries, and a mango lassi for my drink. The salad that came first was fresh and tasty. The curry set was impressive with a huge naan bread. The curries were flavorful and spicy, with the mutton being a bit spicier. The chicken and seekh kebab were also delicious. I ended the meal with the mango lassi and a surprise dessert called habibikiir, which was like a sweet coconut-flavored porridge. While waiting, I noticed other customers coming in for takeout. Overall, it was a good experience. If I come back, I might try a different menu or opt for a smaller set.

Visited Habibi Halal Restaurant after a long time in July 2020. It's further away now since I moved (^^;) I was thinking of getting Nihari, a Pakistani dish, but they didn't have it in the curry set menu. They only had what seemed like regular Indian curries. I ended up choosing the Dal Curry set, which seemed like it could be from somewhere other than India. It cost 1000 yen and I chose rice over naan. When asked whether I wanted Indian or Japanese rice, I said Basmati but was told it would cost extra, so I went with Japanese rice (^^;) I've never bought foreign rice before, but it seems cheaper than Japanese rice. The spiciness level was moderate. For my drink, I had a mango lassi. I've been enjoying Dal Curry lately. It might be better than meat, haha. I don't even know what kind of beans are in it. The Dal Curry here was mild and not spicy at all. It had a hint of ginger on top. Rating at the time of posting: 3.52

Hello. I am the self-proclaimed Curry King, now known as the Self-Restrained Curry King. Even if we are refraining from going out, we cannot refrain from curry. April 3rd. I was planning to get takeout from a nearby Nepalese restaurant, but it was closed. It's a common curry lover's dilemma. Oh well. I decided to check out "Habibi Halal Restaurant" nearby, and saw that there was one customer in the back of the restaurant, so I decided to dine in for the first time in a while. - Haleem: A curry dish where beans, meat, and grains are simmered until they become incredibly tender and flavorful. It's more about the rich texture than the spiciness. Squeezing lemon on it at the end adds another delicious dimension. It's a bit different from other curries. I recommend those who are new to Haleem to give it a try. - Roti: Thin and crispy, very delicious! Roti & Roti, that's the feeling. I don't know what that means, but Roti & Roti! Just enjoy it! - Lassi: It's not very sour and has a smooth texture. It's like a White Sour Drink! Does that make sense to you? By the way, what is a White Sour Drink? (laughs) Despite it being April, the customer inside was smoking away without a care! Well, I do smoke too, but isn't that something to envy? (laughs) I thought the restaurant should have been more considerate about that, but the taste is as good as ever. It's one of the few Pakistani cuisine restaurants representing East Tokyo.

Located under a large housing complex behind Nishi-Ojima Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line is a Pakistani restaurant. Passing by the front of the restaurant, I saw that today's special was Paya (shank soup curry). On a cold day like this, Paya would be perfect to warm up. After placing my order, a salad was served promptly. The Aurora sauce was beautifully presented, but the dressing was a bit too sweet. Soon after, the Paya and rice arrived. It was a hearty dish with two large pieces of trotters, giving it a wild touch (laughs). The herbal soup seeped into the rice, creating a delicious combination. While roti and naan are good, soup curries really go well with rice. I finished off the meal with some chai, feeling fully satisfied once again. #Habibi Halal Restaurant #Paya #Fully satisfied #Warmth from the spice effect even on the way back home.

Night total 1600 yen・Shami Kabab 600 yen・Paya(only winter) 1000 yen. It's been a while. Night with Punjabi Pakistani menu. No pork, no beer, no alcohol, so it's truly halal. Maybe that's why the customers all seem to be of South Asian and West Asian descent. The charmingly quirky atmosphere adds to the appeal. I ended up choosing dishes that seemed to fit the vibe. ・Shami Kabab (4.0) - Very homemade Shami Kabab. More beans and eggs than chicken. Still, the chicken flavor stands out and the balance is good. Crispy and fragrant from being well-cooked. Tastes great with a little ketchup. A good deal with four pieces. ・Paya (3.0) - Winter limited Paya. More like a stew, not very familiar. Last time it was a bit watery, this time even more so. I prefer the Paya that sticks to your lips. Weak aroma, strong bitterness from the spices. Definitely has a medicinal taste. There were some tough gelatinous parts in the joint. I think the meat dishes are the most delicious. They seem to be all about the meat feast over there.

Last night, I met a guy at a bar who said he had tried Pakistani cuisine, so I couldn't get the idea of Pakistani food out of my head. That's why I ended up visiting Habibi in Nishiojima after a long time, seeking peace of mind. Today's specials were Nihari and Chicken Biryani, and I chose Nihari with Roti bread. I also ordered Chapli Kebab made of mutton. After the meal, I'll finish with some hot tea. It's a full course meal. I once tried Shammi Kebab at Marhaba in Ikebukuro, which is a flat hamburger-like dish made with chicken, beans, and eggs. I wondered how it differs from Chapli Kebab, which is clearly made of lamb according to the menu. The Nihari, a classic dish, was delicious as always. I savored every bit of it, including the marrow in the bones. It was a satisfying holiday lunch. I even thought about having Biryani as well, despite my diet.

On a holiday afternoon, while driving around Nishi-Oshima, the navigation system suddenly malfunctioned. I was expecting Uber or Nissin to handle the evening guest visit, but after reading the reviews of takeout customers, I decided to change my approach. I asked if takeout was possible and headed out with a food carrier and tote bag from the picnic set in my trunk. The staff happily agreed to the takeout request! I ordered Nihari for 1,000 yen and Chicken Biryani for 1,000 yen. In about 10 minutes, the takeout set was ready, with the Biryani properly packed in foil and the Roti in a bag inside the tote bag I brought. When I got home, I quickly made some appetizers and pickles, cut some lemons, and reheated the purchased items. The dining room was filled with a unique ethnic aroma. The Nihari, with its hearty flavor, was enjoyed by breaking down the beef shank and eating it with the Roti. Extracting the bone marrow from the large bones was also a fun experience. The combination with Roti was incredibly delicious! It paired well with chilled white wine and received high praise. The Biryani had a mix of whole spices that infused the rice, creating a stimulating flavor. Squeezing lemon and adding Raita enhanced the experience, making it quite exciting. The wine flowed, and the conversation was lively. The guest, who loves bold flavors, was very satisfied, but personally, I found the spice level a bit too strong. For the next takeout, I might try the Habibi Platter and Haleem.

I revisited Habibi Platter because the last time I went, it was delicious. I ordered the Nihari with roti, and when asked how many rotis I wanted, I ordered two. This is the third place where I've tried Nihari, and all three have been delicious. I'm starting to get a sense of what Nihari is like. The Nihari here also comes in a large portion. It's not very spicy, more like a thick soup with plenty of meat, giving a strong meaty flavor. You can taste the bone marrow well. The roti was big and crispy. I thought one wouldn't be enough, but as I ate, I started feeling full towards the end. I managed to finish it, but I think one and a half rotis would have been just right. With salad and a drink included, it was only 1000 yen, a great deal.
