自称カレー王
Hello. This is the Self-Restrained Curry King. February 5th. The curry war continues to intensify even after entering 2021. In January, our Japanese curry king, "CoCo Ichibanya," released their annual Grandmother's Curry. Additionally, the tempura rice bowl chain "Tenya" released a tempura curry. As February began, the convenience store giant "LAWSON" released a curry bread supervised by GODIVA. The beef bowl chain "Matsuya" also released Massaman curry. And today's restaurant, "Sukiya," also started selling a new curry.
- Manhattan Deluxe Curry Mini Salad Set
This curry was newly released around February 4th. The name is quite grand, as they say a name reflects the body. Just like Gouda Takeshi is a strong wrestler, Sakana-kun is a great fish enthusiast, and Ijiri Okada seems like he would be a prankster. This curry comes with toppings of popular pastrami, cheese, and spinach from Manhattan, making it a quite luxurious curry. Indeed, it can only be described as Manhattan Deluxe.
Now, there is a strict rule in the Curry King family for eating cheese-topped menus at Sukiya, including the Cheese Gyudon. That is to mix it vigorously until the solid cheese melts completely. It may look incredibly messy, but that's the way to make it taste delicious. Mix it until it goes squishy-squishy! When the curry starts making such indecent sounds, it's time to eat. When you let it enter your mouth with wide eyes, it showcases even more squishy-squishy goodness. Sukiya's cheese has a strong flavor, so mixing it enhances the taste without overpowering the curry. The curry itself only has finely chopped vegetables as ingredients, so mixing in the pastrami and spinach works well. Truly a rich and special cheese curry. If I were to compare, it would be something like, yes. Manhattan Deluxe, indeed. As they say, the name reflects the body.
Lately, I've come to realize. It's good to have a self-proclaimed name on food review sites. Laugh.
