Since the beginning of this year, the restaurant was closed for renovations, but when it reopened, it had switched to a touch panel system. My workplace is in Jimbocho, so when I'm too busy and stressed, I like to come here to unwind. Today, for a change, I didn't have to work late into the night, so I went around 7 pm. About half of the seats were taken, but there was still a spot open at the counter. Before the renovation, the chef used to be in the middle of the counter surrounded by customers in a U-shape, and we would have to use paper or call out for our orders (even though it's a revolving sushi place). But now, they have a system where you can order using a panel and the dishes come out on a two-tier conveyor belt. The lively and energetic lady who used to cheer everyone on seems to have moved towards the kitchen, which made me feel a bit lonely as I really liked her vibe. I placed my order using the touch panel. They offer options like removing wasabi, less rice, etc. Hmm... it seems like the menu has been reduced. There are fewer alcohol options, and they don't have sake anymore. There used to be two types of conger eel, but now there's only one. I wanted to try the sweet shrimp and the big leaf roll, but they were no longer available. The seasoning of the chawanmushi seems to have changed a bit. Oh no, the tuna is almost sold out even at this hour. The sushi rice here is seasoned with red vinegar, which may not be everyone's cup of tea. Sometimes, when you dip it in soy sauce, it can taste a bit salty. The quality of the sushi toppings is high. The toppings and rice are not ice-cold, which is nice. And the pickled ginger is delicious! I always end up eating too much of it. Being in Jimbocho, there are usually no children around, which is great. Sometimes there are foreign visitors too, probably because Yasukuni Shrine is nearby. Since I come here after work, I prefer to eat in peace by myself. When I paid the bill, it came to 4100 yen for 2 beers, tomato salad, chawanmushi, and a total of 11 plates. Gosh! I usually never spend over 3000 yen here! They've definitely raised the prices! It's true that there were fewer low-priced options! But it's okay... I had a quiet and delicious sushi meal, so it's worth it. Thank you for the meal! I will definitely come back!
