I ended up spending 4,000 yen on lunch, feeling luxurious. I had to wait quite a bit to be seated inside the restaurant, even though there were some empty tables. Finally, I ordered the Tsukiji special sushi set for 3,800 yen, which came with chawanmushi and miso soup. The taste was just average for sushi. The menu mentioned that it included otoro and chutoro, but when I ate it, I thought it was chutoro and regular tuna. The tuna had a strong flavor... it turned out to be chutoro. After the meal, they brought me some agari, which was delicious!

I went to Sunshine for the first time in a while. There were many restaurants to choose from for lunch, so I had a hard time deciding. It seemed quite crowded during the summer vacation, but it has become a little less crowded since September. The sushi was consistently good. The accompanying miso soup could also be changed to udon.

Sushi is a treasure of Japan. The combinations are so good. The sushi is even more delicious because it is made with good ingredients. Fresh fish such as conger eel, tuna, squid, scallop, shrimp, and salmon roe made it even more delicious. If I go to Sunshine again, I might go back.

I visited during Golden Week, so I had to wait in line for quite a while, but surprisingly the restaurant was only about 30% full. When I sat at the counter, I could see two chefs working hard, probably due to a shortage of chefs. The sushi and seafood bowl were both generously sized and delicious, definitely worth the price. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived at the restaurant right at 11 o'clock when it opened. I checked off what I wanted to eat on the order slip and handed it in. I really like this old-fashioned method. First things first, I grabbed a wasabi roll. It was great, with that reliable spiciness. I can't resist it. Both the bluefish and white fish were, well, on a different level compared to conveyor belt sushi. I've been hooked on cheap conveyor belt sushi for the past 3 years. Hmm, this is a different kind of food. It's not about good or bad. I decided to try the shirako. It was surprisingly delicious. I used to think that shirako sushi was almost like a taboo, but this was amazing. I want to try it again while it's in season. The live oysters were also good, but that was expected. I also ordered engawa because it was rare to find it at this sushi restaurant. It was delicious, but was it a flounder? A halibut? I somehow felt like it was a flounder. Ah, sushi really is a delicate and complex dish where various elements come together to create that delicious taste. I was impressed by that. Sorry for the elementary school-like impression.

Located on the 3rd floor of Sunshine City Alpa, I visited this sushi chain restaurant after visiting the Ancient Orient Museum, which is on the 7th floor of the Sunshine City Cultural Center, to avoid crowds and have an early lunch. Since tomorrow is my umpteenth birthday, I ordered the "Jyu Chirashi" for 1,680 yen excluding tax. The Jyu Chirashi consists of finely chopped seaweed scattered over vinegar-flavored rice, topped with tuna toro, shrimp, salmon roe, simmered conger eel, white fish, squid, salmon, tuna, tamagoyaki, pickled lotus root, pickled daikon radish, fish cake, cucumber, and shiso leaf. The slices of fish are thin, but the tuna toro and tender squid were exceptionally delicious. Thank you for the meal. It was delicious.

I wandered around Sunshine City looking for lunch. It was humid and hot, so I decided on either udon or sushi. The first sushi restaurant I saw caught my eye! I chose the daily recommended nigiri set for 1480 yen and the Tsukiji bowl for 1580 yen. The sushi pieces were thick and big, and the rice was also generous, so I was full despite the number of pieces. I was able to order a soup and udon as well, which was a pleasant surprise! The Negitoro on top of the Tsukiji bowl looked delicious. Sushi for lunch! Thank you for the meal!

Located in the east exit of Ikebukuro, inside Sunshine City, is "Tsukiji Tamazushi". I was craving sushi, so I decided to visit and found the "barachirashi" to be quite appealing. It had a good amount of ingredients and a variety of toppings, making it very satisfying. Additionally, it came with chawanmushi and miso soup, making it an easy choice on the menu. There seem to be several branches, so if you come across one, be sure to stop by. #IkebukuroGourmet #Ikebukuro #sushi #sushibowl #TsukijiTamazushi #SunshineCity #chawanmushi #japanesefood #sushi

I visited a restaurant in Sunshine City that was having a 10% off campaign with PayPay. It was a familiar place that also has a store in LUMINE. I ordered the recommended sushi of the day. Although I don't usually go for conveyor belt sushi, I really wanted to try the scallops. The sushi was delicious, and the Tekka Maki was also included, making it a satisfying meal. While I won't say that conveyor belt sushi isn't tasty, I feel like the quality here is on a different level. It was delicious! I might come back here occasionally.

Holiday lunch. I often go to Sunshine Ikebukuro shop, and this sushi restaurant is one of my favorites. I knew they had a main store in Tsukiji, but this was my first time discovering they had a branch in Sunshine. We were the 6th group to be called, and we were seated at a table. Since I had a child with me, the three of us sat in a row on the sofa side. I ordered drinks first, which took about 3 to 4 minutes to arrive. It was a bit slow. We ordered a set of sushi along with some appetizers for drinks. The amount of namero (minced fish with miso) was a bit disappointing. The squid sashimi also felt a bit lacking for the price. I personally think that the sushi rice is important, and unfortunately, it was not as tasty as I had hoped. We also ordered an additional roll, but they brought the wrong kind. When we pointed it out, they quickly made us the correct one. The bill came to around 9,000 yen. On our way out, we received a voucher for sake, so I would like to use it when I come back next time. I just wish the sushi rice was a bit better.

Small town sushi set for 1900 yen. Visited around 12pm on Saturday. The interior of the restaurant has 5 counter seats, 3 tables for 2 people, 6 tables for 4 people, and 2 semi-private table seats. There were 4 groups of customers before us. The menu offers various sets of sushi and side dishes that can be ordered a la carte. The set menus range from 3800 yen to 1600 yen, with the small town sushi set priced at 1900 yen. It was served in about 5 minutes, consisting of a selection of sushi, miso soup, and chawanmushi. The sushi included medium fatty tuna, amberjack, lean tuna, salmon, scallop, sweet shrimp, sea urchin, conger eel, and tamagoyaki (egg omelet), totaling 9 pieces. While the portion size may not be large, it is considered a good deal for the price, especially with premium ingredients like medium fatty tuna, scallop, and sea urchin included. The miso soup was generously topped with seaweed, and the chawanmushi contained shrimp and ginkgo nuts.

Yesterday's lunch was my first visit to this place. I had the Chirashi sushi for 1,760 yen and a medium-sized draft beer for 660 yen. Although there wasn't anything particularly special happening, I chose the Chirashi sushi as it was relatively affordable compared to other items on the menu. The meal came with miso soup and chawanmushi. The beer portion was standard for a regular restaurant. The table seating was also properly spaced out for social distancing, so I was able to enjoy my meal in a calm environment.

I visited with a friend on a regular night. It was around 8:00 pm and the restaurant was quite empty, so we were able to relax. We tried various dishes with salmon as the main ingredient, and all of them were delicious. However, I found the pickled ginger to be a bit spicy. The staff were very polite and provided great service. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

I visited for dinner. I was seated right away as it happened to be empty. Orders for individual pieces were written on paper. Separate papers for with wasabi and without wasabi. Sets or assorted plates were ordered verbally. It's been a while since I've been to a sushi restaurant. It's delicious! I wonder why it's so good... I indulged myself today. Thank you for the meal.

In the unique atmosphere of Sunshine City, the pricing is understandable, but considering the recent trend of casualization in the sushi industry, the prices seem high. With a main target audience of families, the pricing is bold and the cost performance is not great. For example, one piece of engawa costs 330 yen, and a bottle of beer costs 770 yen, totaling 1000 yen for just these two items. It's quite expensive. While they don't have a conveyor belt system, at this price point, I would expect a more accommodating stance like offering larger pieces of sushi or a standing-style dining experience to create a sense of affordability, similar to what Midori Sushi does. While it's important to pay a fair price for fresh and delicious food, it seems like this establishment is more focused on attracting one-time customers rather than repeat business. In the highly competitive sushi industry, it remains to be seen whether this model, which has been successful in the age of COVID-19, will continue to satisfy customers in the future.

There are sushi and rice bowl options available. The price for both was around 1300 yen, so I chose the rice bowl thinking it would have more food. You can choose the amount of rice you want. I went for a smaller portion, while my friend chose the large serving. The large serving was indeed large, and I thought there would be leftover rice, but my friend finished it all. The sushi pieces were big, so in terms of quantity, there didn't seem to be much difference. Also, you can choose miso soup or udon. In terms of cost performance, it's average or slightly on the higher side.

Hand-rolled sushi was created at Tsukiji Tamazushi in 1971 and is considered the original store. On the 8th of every month, known as "Hand-roll Day," they offer 35 varieties of hand rolls for 100 yen each, plus tax. If the 8th falls on a weekend or holiday, the event may be held on a different day, or some stores may not participate. For more details, please refer to the website: http://www.tamasushi.co.jp/temaki/
The Ikebukuro Sunshine store has long lines during lunchtime! It is unclear if they take a break, but when I visited at 5 PM, there were about 5 groups waiting outside. Luckily, I only had to wait for 10 minutes to get in.
I ordered the original Suehiro hand rolls, including ikura, uni, ebi, tekka, negisaba, and ika natto rolls. Other customers were ordering around 10 rolls each... All the ingredients tasted good, but the rice portion was a bit too much, which was disappointing. However, considering they are only 100 yen each, it's understandable. This is a great place for families with hungry kids. The service from the staff was warm and wonderful. I would love to visit again on a regular day.

On the 8th of every month, we went to Tsukiji Tamazushi with my child for the special End Hiro Hand Roll Day ☆ It's been a while. We went to the Sunshine Ikebukuro store. It was delicious! This is such a great deal, right? Each hand roll is only 100 yenヽ(=´▽`=)ノ We had a total of 26 rolls between the two of us Σ(・∀・;) Ehe ☆ The way back was tough〜 I want to go again next month (*´艸`*) Items like sea urchin, which are expensive, sell out quickly. There are seats with fast turnover and seats that are always full... The wait time is something you won't know until you try it. Here, you write your name on a waiting list and wait for your turn. It's a shame that the number of participating stores is decreasing... #HandRollDay #TsukijiTamazushi #HandRollSushi #HandRoll #HadSushi #SushiRestaurant #SushiForOne #108Yen #SeaUrchin #LoveSeaUrchin #SeaUrchinLover #SalmonRoe #LoveSalmonRoe #SalmonRoeLover #MediumFattyTuna #LoveMediumFattyTuna #SushiLover #SushiLove #HandRollLover #instasushi #SushiInstagram #ig_sushi #ig_sushilovers #sushilove #sushilover #sushi #sushi #LoveDeliciousFood #Foodie #FoodieGourmet

On Saturday night, my niece wanted sushi, so we lined up. Despite it being late, we managed to get in around 7:20 pm after waiting for about 40 minutes. The apprentice sushi chef seemed a bit inexperienced, but the female staff made up for it. The sushi was reasonably priced and delicious. I especially enjoyed the eel nigiri, the recommended sardine, and the chawanmushi. I was happy that the set menu included miso soup and chawanmushi. The children's sushi was small and cute. I would love to come back for the eel if I'm in the area again.

Today was my annual physical examination at Sunshine Clinic. It was a series of tests from early morning until around noon. Finally, after finishing all the tests, I realized I hadn't eaten anything since the day before. So, I decided to have sushi! I used the 1000 yen gourmet card I received from the clinic and ordered the 1663 yen Edo nigiri set. It seemed a bit pricey for a lunch sushi. Normally, lunch at a sushi restaurant is in the 900 yen range. However, the taste was decently good. Although it's a bit expensive for lunch sushi, I might not visit this place often.
