The taste and the time spent were great! ☺︎ I went with my regular Instagram friends. We had a pairing course, which cost 16,000 yen for two people, and I was surprised that it wasn't too expensive. Usually, I'm not satisfied with pairings, but this one was really good. The flavors were delicate and intricate, without being too salty for a drinker like me. It was a satisfying and enjoyable experience without feeling tired. Here are some notes I took: - Appetizer: Bitter melon and sesame liver with chili pepper and dried baby sardines. The liver was delicious without any unpleasant smell! - Pon shabu salad - Sashimi with maguro tuna top 5: fatty tuna, medium fatty tuna, lean tuna, and baby sardines - Eggplant and chicken dish: so tasty and tender! - Coffee and sake: surprisingly good combination! - Mackerel: really good flavor, not too oily. - Eggplant and oyster gratin: perfect balance of flavors. - Horse mackerel: no bones, very delicious. - Almond tofu: paired perfectly with plum wine and gin. - Bonus dish: spicy yuzu peel with cheese, a unique and tasty combination. Overall, it was a delightful and satisfying experience with lots of rare and interesting dishes. I had a blissful buzz ⭐︎

It had been a while since I last visited Tsuki-san. On this day, I decided to go a la carte instead of having a course menu. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the menu, so I can't provide details, but everything I ate was delicious as always! The recommended sake was also great, and I left the restaurant feeling very satisfied. This is a place I want to visit regularly!

I went to a calm restaurant in Gotanda for a business dinner. The restaurant had high ratings on Tabelog, so I decided to try it out. It was a lovely place with two raised tatami seating areas and a counter, located in Gotanda Hills. The seasonal dishes were all carefully prepared, and there were 80 types of sake available for all-you-can-drink, which was great. They also had special menus only available at the counter seats. I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again.

I visited "Tsuki." in Gotanda, which I had been curious about. The food and atmosphere were even better than I expected, and I got completely absorbed in the experience. Even though I'm not really a drinker, I couldn't resist ordering the tempting "New Politics 9 Variety Tasting" in June 2023. The staff were attentive and kept providing chasers, so I was able to enjoy the tasting without getting a hangover. Among the lineup, my personal favorite was the "Nehan Kame 99%" - refreshing and rich in flavor. My second favorite was the "Amaneko Kai Spark". Well, all the New Politics options were great. I will continue to enjoy the pairing of food and sake while doing the 9 Variety Tasting. First, the representative menu of "Tsuki." ⭐ Tuna sashimi The recommended way to eat it is with olive oil. The special olive oil, which is squeezed without pressure and harvested late, is drizzled over the tuna. It really goes well together. ⭐ Water eggplant sashimi Can't go wrong with this one. ⭐ Hiramasa fry The hiramasa was very thick. The homemade tartar sauce was filled with chopped pickles. The texture was great. I piled it on generously and took a big bite. ⭐ Pickled vegetables assortment Beautiful! Like an art piece. The taste was wonderful too. Crisp and refreshing zasai pickles. Not too sour pickled shallots. Sweet daikon radish. Turnips infused with perilla. Juicy iburigakko. ⭐ Wagyu beef stew The meat, onions, carrots, and potatoes were all well-flavored. And on top of that, there was rare meat. Delicious taste. The portion was generous. I was satisfied. Had a great time.

I was taken to a restaurant by a friend who loves sake. I was excited from the day before when I heard they have 100 different kinds of sake! My friend has been following the owner of this place since the days when it was called "Agi" before the relocation, and even from the previous shop before that. The location is on the 2nd floor of a building known as Gotanda Hills (although the entrance is actually on B1, so be careful). Upon entering, it had a charming atmosphere of a traditional Japanese restaurant with small dishes, quite different from the exterior of the shop. We were seated in a cozy private room in the back. [Drinks] - Aperitif - Tasting set of 5 sakes (45ml each) 1) JUPITER2022 Souplesse 2) JUPITER2022 Course 3) JUPITER2022 Fukuro-tsuri 4) NIWARINGO2021 Fukuro-tsuri 5) ORIGINE2022 Fukuro-tsuri - Shura Origarumi sake - Tenkakin Ginjo Origarumi sake - Fukuda Muroka Namagenshu sake - Ryuuki Junmai Ginjo Muroka Namagenshu sake The aperitif looked like strawberries at first glance, but it turned out to be a sake made with kiwi and tomatoes. Not too sweet, slightly sour, and it really got my stomach ready for more. We skipped beer for today and went straight to sake. We couldn't decide between the Fukuro-tsuri tasting set, so we ended up choosing all 5 varieties. The Fukuro-tsuri method involves pressing the sake slowly over time using only the weight of gravity. It's not often you get to taste 3 different kinds in one go... While savoring the flavors, the cork of bottle #2 popped off on its own! The yeast must be really active in this one. Next, we tried Shura Origarumi. It's a local sake that I always order if available, but this particular light blue labeled Origarumi was a first for me. It was absolutely my taste. Everything we drank was recommended by the owner, and each one was a perfect match for me. I was so impressed! [Food] - Appetizer: Simmered Chinese cabbage and thick fried tofu - Assorted sashimi platter - Heshiko (fermented fish) - A5 Wagyu beef rib roast meat and potato stew - Deep-fried sand lance fish - Chicken Karaage with spicy soy sauce - Sesame dressed bamboo shoots All the dishes were delicious. You could tell the ingredients were top quality, and the preparation was meticulous. Even something as simple as the chicken karaage was not ordinary - it was coated in spicy soy sauce, juicy, and incredibly tasty. The classic home-cooked dish, meat and potato stew, made with A5 rib roast beef was just too good to be true. I would love to come back for a sake pairing next time. This is definitely a must-visit restaurant!

I received a course at the counter. I was able to have a leisurely conversation in a calm atmosphere. The dishes were all delicious, especially the sashimi eaten with olive oil and rock salt - I want to eat it again. It seems that the menu changes depending on the season, so I would like to visit again at a different time.

If you want to enjoy sake and Japanese cuisine at Gotanda Hills, be sure to visit this restaurant! The nikujaga comes with seared wagyu beef on top, making it look amazing. They seem to be very particular about their tuna, and the rich red meat is delicious! Not only eating with soy sauce, but also with salt and olive oil was tasty too. Highly recommended restaurant!

Commonly known as Gotanda Hills. I had only been to "Todaka" in this building before, but this time I tried another restaurant for the first time. I went up to the second floor, and wow. It has a lovely atmosphere that you wouldn't imagine from the outside. Despite not being very spacious, the counter and raised seating area make it feel cozy and intimate. It feels like a wonderful little izakaya. They have a selection of 100 different types of sake, as well as high-quality tuna and wagyu beef as I saw in the introduction of the restaurant, and it's all true. They not only offer sake tasting and pairing, but also create blends for you. I can't drink, but my companion was delighted. The food is also delicious. The portion sizes are just right, allowing you to try a variety of dishes. Highly recommended are the smoked dishes. The smoked cheese is excellent. All the wagyu dishes were delicious as well. The mirin-boiled dried fish was also great. Oh, and the nikujaga (braised meat and potatoes) is a must-order; it comes with a large potato topped with meat. If I could drink, I would love to sit at the counter alone and enjoy it. It's a place I'd like to secretly enjoy as a hidden gem. It was a great restaurant.

A hidden gem known to those in the know, the restaurant "Getsu" in Gotanda offers elegant Japanese sake and refined Japanese cuisine. Everything on the menu is delicious, especially the tuna which is exceptionally fresh and exquisite. I always make sure to order it. Each dish is carefully crafted, and they even cook the rice in a clay pot. In my opinion, this is the best Japanese restaurant in Gotanda. I will definitely visit again.

The dishes are all carefully crafted, and I highly recommend trying their signature clay pot rice dish as it is truly amazing. The almond jelly dessert is also outstanding, with a unique texture and flavor. What's even more impressive is that they pair the dessert with sake as well. I heard that the famous restaurant in Gotanda, "Wasyu Bar agi," has relocated and reopened as a sister store called "Kyokuen Agi." I decided to visit after hearing about it. It had been about six months since I last visited the Gotanda area due to the pandemic. It was a short 5-minute walk from the station, facing the Meguro River at the entrance. I went up to the second floor using the elevator to find the restaurant right in front of me. Upon entering, I noticed there were around 5 seats at the counter and two private rooms in addition to the counter. Unlike the previous store, "Kyokuen Agi," which had an extensive selection of Japanese sake, this new place did not have a sake-only menu. Instead, the staff will choose a sake for you based on your preferences. I opted for the staff's choice this time. I enjoyed "Sake no Yoake" from Sakuraisake, "Houou Mitaka Bessho Shikou," and "Nabeshima Gohyakumangoku," among others. The food was as delicious as ever. I savored dishes like "Ankimo," "Kanazawa Mackerel," and "A5 Beef Assorted Seared." The famous fried chicken from before was not available yet due to operational reasons. I hope it will be added to the menu once things settle down. I finished with a delicious amberjack rice dish and left satisfied. I look forward to visiting again soon.
