I had a strong craving for tonkatsu, so I stopped by on my way home from work. After ordering various items, my favorite turned out to be "Yamabuki" or "Sazanka". "Yamabuki" includes either loin or fillet tonkatsu with cream croquette, while "Sazanka" includes either loin or fillet tonkatsu with cheese-filled minced cutlet. I always struggle between choosing loin & cream croquette or minced cutlet, but this time I went with the minced cutlet. The clam miso soup complements the rich tonkatsu well, making me want to ask for seconds. The white rice was fluffy, and I debated whether to have more or not as I enjoyed my meal. It's convenient being close to the station, and being able to enjoy delicious tonkatsu to my heart's content makes me happy. Thank you for the meal.

I felt like having some fried food, and since the other nearby restaurants had long lines, I decided to visit Wako. I expected the prices to be a bit high, like in Shibuya. I ordered the Kikyo set meal, which included pork cutlet, shrimp fry, and minced meat. It was delicious and tender. Sometimes you just crave fried food, even though you can't eat it as often as you used to as you get older.

I visited around 11:30 am on a regular Monday and didn't have to wait to be seated. I ordered the "W Washoku Rice (1530 yen)" which came with two pork cutlets, making it very satisfying and filling. You can get refills of rice, miso soup, and cabbage, allowing you to fully enjoy the combination of pork cutlet and rice. The only slight concern was that the thickness of the meat seemed slightly thinner this time. Tonkatsu is a menu item that I feel like eating periodically, so I would like to visit again.

There are many tonkatsu specialty restaurants around Shibuya, but the reliable top-notch restaurant that you end up visiting. Not only the taste of tonkatsu itself, but also the shiny and hot white rice, clam soup, all-you-can-eat crispy cabbage, the high quality is undeniable.

I went to Tonkatsu Wako in Shibuya Mark City because I had a sudden craving for their cheese menchi katsu. It had been a while since I last had it, but it was delicious as always. I went around 9 pm on a weekday and there was a bit of a line.

Stable and comforting atmosphere at Wakou. I visited for lunch and noticed that the prices have gone up. There were quite a few foreigners there as well. I ordered the following:
- Pork cutlet hot pot rice
- Fried chicken a la carte
It was quite crowded, so it took a while for the food to be served. Timing was not great. Despite the price increase, you can still get unlimited rice, miso soup, and cabbage, which is nice. Personally, I think it's a nice touch when they bring hot tea in a teapot, but it seemed like all the foreigners were asking for water instead. Maybe they were wondering why they were getting hot tea with a hot meal. The food tasted consistently delicious as always. I like this restaurant because it's easy to dine alone. But the price increase is really noticeable this spring. Thank you for the meal.

I had already decided on a place to eat tonkatsu, but as I passed by, I felt like trying it out. The staff noticed that I was carrying two paper bags and kindly prepared a table for me instead of the counter. The staff seemed well-trained. I ordered the pork fillet cutlet. The cabbage was finely chopped and there was plenty of it. I ended up getting a second serving of miso soup. As for the tonkatsu itself, well, it's not bad for the price. The sauce and mustard were delicious. It seems to be a chain restaurant, but I was impressed by how well-run it was.

The deliciousness of stability. I often use it but have not posted before. Station buildings are really helpful, aren't they? What I ordered was the "Hirekatsu Nabe Gohan" for 1650 yen. I tend to eat the Nabe Gohan series a lot at Wasco. I can't stop getting extra rice without any questions! I also love the miso soup. The fact that cabbage is served separately on a plate with potato salad on top is also a big plus. Rice, cabbage, miso soup, three items with unlimited refills, how cost-effective is that~ I always feel grateful. I actually love Wasco's fried chicken too! I will visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I was invited by my work colleagues to have "Oyster Fry" at 'Tonkatsu Wako' on the 4th floor of Avenue Street in Shibuya Mark City. We met up at 11:30 and were seated at a table without having to wait. Although there were lunch menus available, we were only interested in the Oyster Fry. I ordered the "Oyster Assorted Rice" while my colleagues ordered the "Oyster Fry Rice". Both dishes came with unlimited rice, miso soup, and cabbage refills. It took about 12 minutes for our orders to arrive. The Oyster Assorted Rice came with a bite-sized fillet, shrimp fry, 3 pieces of oyster fry, shredded cabbage, rice, miso soup with clams, tartar sauce, and pickles. The fry, coated with homemade breadcrumbs and fried in pure vegetable oil, had a high quality typical of a specialty shop. The crispy coating and juicy interior were delicious, especially the oyster fry which I really wanted to try. It tasted best with tartar sauce, sauce, and mustard. The fillet was also tender and satisfying. I didn't get a rice refill, but I did get a cabbage refill. Overall, it was a satisfying lunch with just the right amount of food.

I visited for my second cheat day of the month. It's been a while since I had tonkatsu, and there aren't many tonkatsu restaurants around the Dogenzaka area. However, I ordered the W Washoku set. It's a rare treat, so I'm feeling excited. I finished with 3 servings of rice, 3 servings of cabbage, and 2 servings of miso soup. I fully enjoyed my cheat day, and now I feel like my afternoon work is done. Thank you for the meal.

I'm going to Tonkatsu Wako for some delicious pork cutlet! It's located on the 4th floor near the back entrance of Dogenzaka. After being seated at a table, I ordered the Rosu Katsu and two pieces of Ebi Fry. The menu had a variety of options, so I took some photos. The restaurant is quite busy even on a Monday night. They offer free refills on rice, cabbage, and even miso soup. The miso soup had clams in it, which was a unique touch. Overall, it was a great dining experience at Tonkatsu Wako.

I descended the suspended Ginza Line train and entered the station building to find a restroom. Following the signs, I ended up on a different floor and had to go up another escalator to finally find it. After using the restroom, I felt lost in the building due to the strong wind and drizzle outside. I decided to grab a quick meal and entered a restaurant in the building, despite seeing a sign mentioning that they couldn't provide certain items on the menu. I ordered a set meal with cream croquette, one bite pork cutlet, and shrimp fry, which came with rice and pickles. The food was delicious, and I enjoyed the meal despite some mishaps with the croquette. After finishing my meal, I left the building smoothly and watched a movie starring Kevin Costner and Diane Lane. I used to have mixed feelings about these actors, but after rewatching some of their films, I now appreciate their performances. In particular, Diane Lane's singing scene in "Streets of Fire" left a lasting impression on me. It was a great experience overall.

Tokyo's GoTo Eat vouchers can be used properly, so I often go to Shibuya Mark City recently. "Tonkatsu Washo" here can be used too♪ (There is a sticker at the entrance) [Ordered items] Kikyo 1150 yen (one-bite hirekatsu, shrimp fry, cheese-filled menchikatsu) My favorite lunch menu is "Kikyo," which has several types of fry on one plate. I prefer cheese menchikatsu over chicken katsu, so I'm in the Kikyo camp♪ Fried foods are high in calories, so I can't have them every day, but there are times when I really crave them. At times like that, I have it for lunch. Washo's freshly fried and crispy dishes are consistently delicious.

Crispy, freshly fried tonkatsu! The menu is also extensive. It's great that you can get unlimited rice, miso soup, and cabbage. I ordered a set with hirekatsu, aji fry, and ebi fry. They were all crispy and delicious! The aji fry was plump and served with grated daikon radish, wasabi, and soy sauce. The ebi fry was served with tartar sauce. Everything was piping hot and freshly made, and I left feeling completely satisfied!

This year's year-end visit was to the quiet restaurant located on the west side of Shibuya Mark City 4F. The background music inside the restaurant was piano music. I ordered the "Pork Cutlet and Oyster Fry Set". It was served in about 10 minutes. The cabbage refill came on a separate plate.

Tonkatsu at Wako is a great deal with a good variety of set menu options. I enjoy the ambiance of hearing the train sounds while dining. I love the chicken cheese, shrimp fry, and pork cutlet. My favorite is the sasanqua. The yuzu dressing and sauces are a nice touch, and the cabbage is always refreshing. I leave feeling full every time, and the cost performance is excellent.

Tonkatsu Wako on the 4th floor of Shibuya Mark City. I often go to the Metro Plaza Shibuya branch near Shibuya Station, but this was my first time at this branch. The Pork Cutlet with Rice (1280 yen) was consistently good. Considering that you can have unlimited refills of rice and cabbage, it is reasonably priced. However, I refrained from getting a second serving of rice this time because I had work to do afterwards.

I went to the restaurant Tonkatsu Wako in Tokyo, Shibuya with a close friend during lunchtime. The atmosphere was very nice and we enjoyed our meal.
<Nearest station> About a 5-minute walk from Shibuya Station
<Weather on the day> It was a slightly warm and sunny day.
<Exterior> The restaurant is located inside Mark City, so you can easily spot it by the Wako sign.
<Time and Crowdedness> We went on a weekday during lunchtime and were seated without any wait. The restaurant wasn't too crowded, but there might be a wait depending on the time.
<Food and Drink Impressions> We ordered the Wako set meal. The crispy coating and tender cutlet were very satisfying and delicious. Personally, I also liked the fresh cabbage at Wako that you can get refills of.
<Interior> The interior has a calm atmosphere where you can enjoy your meal leisurely.
<Parking> There is no dedicated parking lot. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was to my liking, so I definitely want to go back. If you've read this review, please give it a try!

In March 2019, I decided to try a dish from the regular menu instead of the lunch menu. I ordered the Black Pork Loin Cutlet Set for 2,780 yen. It was served in just 10 minutes. The pork meat was white in color. It reminded me of the Chinese dish "Cloud White Meat," but even whiter. The meat was juicy and the breading was crispy. It was delicious. I have been to famous tonkatsu restaurants like Masamune in Akasaka and Ouroji in Shinjuku, but this tonkatsu was just as good, if not better. However, the price is higher. It's not something I can afford to have for lunch every day. I feel for the salarymen waiting in line at Masamune, but indulging in a luxurious lunch once in a while is nice, right?

I visited a restaurant in early November 2018 and decided to order the set menu which included pork cutlet, shrimp fry, and chicken cutlet for 1,130 yen. The food was served fresh and hot, with the miso soup made from clam broth being particularly delicious. The pork cutlet was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, while the shrimp fry and chicken cutlet were also very tasty. I have recently visited two other famous tonkatsu restaurants, but I found the tonkatsu at this place to be just as good. Each restaurant has its own unique taste, and despite this chain restaurant not having high ratings on food review websites, the tonkatsu I had here was definitely delicious.
