"The Hokkaido Miso Ramen for 800 yen was my last meal, so visiting was worth it. Lucky me. Nowadays, it's common for a small dish with a little bit of salmon roe to cost 400 yen, so the A set with Negitoro and Crab Don for 400 yen is a good deal. It's no wonder it's from a seafood company in Oshamanbe. The ramen had green onions, menma, wakame, large chashu, and a miso soup base with fish and shellfish. It was delicious. The thin noodles from Morizumi Seimen were great. Adding watercress and oyster toppings enhances the flavor. They accept PayPay."

I received a photo of the business day calendar on LINE and finally visited the restaurant. I had the Hokkaido Ramen Shoyu for 800 yen, along with today's recommended set (Seafood Roast Donburi) for 1,000 yen, and added 2 oysters for 300 yen. I was very satisfied. It was my first time visiting for lunch, and I was pleasantly surprised to receive 5 appetizers included in the set for 1,800 yen. The quality and taste were great, making it a very cost-effective restaurant. The Shoyu Ramen, which was sold out last month, was delicious with Mori Sumi Seimen's thin noodles. The rich soy sauce soup was very tasty. The oysters were a bit smaller than last month, but it's understandable since it's already summer. The mini bowl was a small dish with rice, crab meat, and sashimi, creating a visually appealing three-dimensional look. The restaurant belongs to a seafood company from Naganuma, Hokkaido, and their main business seems to be at Hokkaido product exhibitions. They have irregular business hours, open about half of the month. They notify their business days on LINE. Today for lunch, there were three older men dining.

"I called 'Hachioji Suisan' after work because I remembered how delicious their 'Hokkaido miso ramen' was last time. Luckily, they were open. Today, I was aiming for their 'shoyu ramen,' but unfortunately, it's sold out until July. Instead, I ordered the 'Hokkaido miso butter ramen & mini special seafood bowl set.' The butter is delicious, like a tasty stew. It's a hit. Enjoying a beer, it's a blissful evening. Apparently, a seafood company from Oshamanbe, Hokkaido, started their takeout service in a warehouse where they sell their products at department store fairs in the Tokyo area. They operate about half of the month and notify their operating days on Instagram and Line. My stomach is pleasantly full."

The interior of the restaurant is like a small dining area in a fish market. I like this kind of atmosphere. I tried the "Hokkaido Miso Ramen" for 800 yen with the C set (mini seafood bowl) for 900 yen and 2 large oysters for 300 yen. I found this place after seeing online that there is a delicious restaurant that offers a set of Hokkaido Miso Ramen and seafood bowl. It was a great find because both the ramen and the bowl were delicious. I called ahead in the late afternoon to make sure they were open. They have irregular closing days, and the last time I called, they were closed. It's a bit of a walk from the station, about 2 blocks. There are parking spots in front of the restaurant, around numbers 10 and 11, with yellow triangular poles marking the spots.

★4.0: Points to praise: The seafood bowl (chef's choice) is very delicious, with high-quality ingredients and free extra rice. Points for improvement: Unclear business days, varying prices for the seafood bowl at lunch (this time it was 1,600 yen). Purpose of visit: Lunch with a friend from work.

★4.5: Point to praise so much that you don't want to tell others: The seafood is fresh and delicious, the lunch is of very high quality and quantity for the price, making it very cost-effective. Takeout is also good. Points for improvement: The restaurant is closed too often, and the space is small. Purpose of use: Lunch alone, with family, with colleagues, with friends.

I have visited this place a few times for lunch, but this time I went for dinner. I enjoyed some delicious sashimi with drinks. The fish was very fresh and the portions were generous as always. The atmosphere in the restaurant is set with old Japanese songs playing in the background, giving off a northern vibe. Enjoying the seafood while listening to these songs really adds to the experience. They have a good selection of sake, and this time I tried the Kaneshima and Shirakawa brands, which made my Hokkaido experience even better. I will definitely come back again.

Visited for the first time in July 2021. In the block where this restaurant is located, there are three other restaurants lined up, but this Hachioji Suisan has been struggling to establish itself in this area. However, judging by the popularity of Hachioji Suisan during my visit, I have a feeling that this restaurant will finally take root in this neighborhood.
First impressions of the restaurant... it's a bit small. All three restaurants on this street are small, but this one feels even smaller because it also has a takeout area. The kitchen is small too, but there were four staff members working that day. The seating consists of a 4-seat counter and one 4-seat table, so it's not ideal for large groups. It's best suited for 1-2 people dining inside.
I ordered the sashimi set meal with extra rice (1200+100 yen) from the lunch menu and also tried their new shaved ice with condensed milk and sweet red beans (500 yen). The sashimi set came with 6 pieces, and while the presentation was simple, the quality of the sashimi was excellent. The rice and miso soup were average. The shaved ice was not the traditional kind I was expecting, but a modern fluffy version. They also offer common flavors like melon or strawberry for 380 yen, making it a nice treat after playing with kids at a nearby park like Asakawa. However, it's best to avoid visiting during peak hours as it can get crowded.
Overall, they offer good value lunch specials on weekdays, making it a recommended spot for those working or living nearby to enjoy fresh seafood in a casual setting.

There is a sushi restaurant located right next to Hachioji City Hall that serves a seafood bowl. I wanted to order a three-color bowl with eel, but they were sold out, so I decided to try the crab, salmon roe, sea urchin, and minced tuna bowl instead. The salmon roe is from Hokkaido, and the sea urchin is made without alum and alcohol, which made it delicious. You can choose from options like three-color bowl or five-color bowl with ingredients like crab (boiled), sea urchin (alum and alcohol-free), salmon roe (Hokkaido), minced tuna, tuna, scallop, salmon, tobiko, squid, eel, mackerel, shrimp, and aged bluefin tuna. They accept PayPay as payment.

I went to Hachioji Suisan, located behind the Hachioji City Hall, which just opened on April 20th. It is on the first floor of the same building as Kubocchi and Il Boschetto. I arrived before noon, but had to wait for about 30 minutes as there were 4 people ahead of me. The lunch menu includes an assorted nigiri for 1000 yen, an assorted bowl for 888 yen, and Hokkaido miso ramen with a mini seafood bowl for 1200 yen. There is also a wide variety of options for takeout. I ordered the assorted nigiri before being seated. They mentioned that water is self-service. After about 10 minutes, a luxurious assorted nigiri was served. The toppings included abalone, sea urchin, salmon roe, fatty tuna, tuna, egg, salmon, crab, yellowtail, sea bass, and shrimp, totaling 11 pieces. The variety of toppings was impressive. The only downside was the rice, which seemed a bit cold and soft. It might crumble if eaten with chopsticks. Considering the recent opening and the price, it was impressive to receive such high-quality nigiri sushi. It was a delicious meal, thank you.

I went to Hachioji Suisan. It's best to check their business days on Instagram or other platforms. It's a small restaurant with a counter for 4 people and one table for 4 people, as well as a takeout counter. When I arrived, there were 7-8 people waiting outside. 4 were waiting for takeout, and 3 were waiting to dine in. I ended up waiting for over 20 minutes to get inside. As a solo diner, I ended up sitting diagonally across from another solo diner. During this time, several takeout customers came in. I ordered the chef's choice seafood bowl for 888 yen. It included salmon roe, shrimp, scallops, squid, ark shell, spicy cod roe, sea urchin, tuna, and more. The bowl arrived in about 15 minutes. Despite the wait, I enjoyed the meal.

I had ramen. The miso soup had a rich flavor with a hint of sweetness, and it was simple and delicious. The chicken chashu was light and paired well with the soup. The medium-thin curly noodles were chewy with a good texture, and they mixed well with the soup. Thank you for the meal.
