We visited the restaurant at night with two people. We added two extra dishes to the seasonal course. Unfortunately, our favorite butter-grilled dish was cold this time. The staff rushed us and even started putting ingredients into the pot without asking, which made us feel uncomfortable. If they are in a hurry, maybe they should consider a better way to serve the dishes?

Based on a base of mugwort kaiseki, we added flower ice and grilled crab miso in the shell. Everything is delicious, and you can't go wrong with any choice. The sashimi and boiled dishes are delicious, and the crab gratin and crab chawanmushi are also delicious. The service was also very polite!

My wife wanted to eat crab for her birthday, so we went to the safe and reliable "Kani Doraku" located above the Disney Store in Shibuya. We made a reservation by phone the day before, but they only had availability for the 5:00 pm slot, so we visited at that time. We ordered the most expensive courses: my wife had the Ai course for 15,000 yen, and I had the Jyukai course for 15,000 yen. The menu included: - Crab appetizers (crab vinegar, crab appetizers) - Crab sashimi platter (snow crab, king crab) - Crab chawanmushi (steamed egg custard with crab) - Crab gratin - Crab rice cooked in a pot - Red miso soup - Spring dish - Fruits We also ordered snow crab sushi and crab cream croquettes x2 as extras. The crab cream croquettes here are the best in the world. I used to go to this restaurant as a luxury treat when I lived in Kansai with my family, but now I can afford to go on my own. I really want to go back!

Every year, I use this restaurant for dinner with my younger brother. We tried to discuss the reservation time, but our request was not accommodated, so we ended up going 30 minutes early, only to find that the restaurant was empty. Since I was pregnant, I had to resist the crab sashimi. We opted for a course without crab sashimi. Despite there not being many customers, the food took a long time to come out. I felt it was slow, and as expected, there were apologies from the staff every time they brought out the dishes. Maybe they were short-staffed? Well, the food is always delicious, so that's a plus! What disappointed me this time was that I had the impression that it was a slightly upscale restaurant, but maybe that was my mistake... Did they not notice my maternity mark? I didn't say anything either, so maybe it's my fault. I thought of it as a slightly upscale restaurant, but this time the staff seemed too busy, and I didn't feel the usual "care" that I usually experience.

At a New Year's party with colleagues, we had crab as per the request of multiple people. We ordered the "live Matsuba crab" which cost 24,000 yen. It was delicious, especially the crab hot pot. However, the high price made me feel like the cost performance was not as good as before. I love crab and would like to visit again, but it may not be easy due to the expensive prices at the restaurant.

We ordered two different courses for two people on Coming of Age Day. The restaurant seemed busy, but the presentation was beautiful. The crab, both raw and grilled, was excellent. However, the service was slow, and we had to ask for all the dishes to be brought at once towards the end. It took 3 hours for all the dishes to arrive after ordering, which was a bit inconvenient as we had to catch a train. We ended up getting full as we waited a long time between dishes. I might want to visit again when I have more time.

The annual New Year's party with my stepbrother and stepsister always ends up at "Kani Doraku" for some reason. And this year, it was at the restaurant in Shibuya. I usually take medication to lower my uric acid levels, but on this day, it's a cheat day for shellfish! (laughs) We made a reservation for 6:00 PM on the second day of the new year. Unlike the locations in Shinjuku and Ueno that I have visited before, the restaurant was not as crowded, with no waiting lines and available seats. We looked at the menu and ordered the following: [Menu for this occasion] - Special Kanisashi Course "Juhyo" for 15,000 yen. Each of us also ordered a separate course. - Super Nikka Highball for 650 yen x 2 It was just my family and my stepbrother for the toast this year. And let me tell you, this highball was incredibly strong! I could only manage to drink two sips... [Crab Appetizers] - "Kani Vinegar": Snow crab claws, the crab vinegar tasted delicious after a long time. - "Crab Appetizer": Scallop with sesame sauce. Inside were rare scallops, spinach, crab flakes, salmon roe, and seaweed. It got me excited for the upcoming dishes. [Assorted Crab Sashimi] - Snow Crab: Leg meat, shredded meat. The leg meat was the usual tender and delicious type, providing a satisfying bite. The shredded meat, when poured with ponzu sauce, brought out the sweetness of the crab meat. - King Crab: Seared, blanched, leg meat. The seared crab had a slightly burnt aroma, which was delightful. The blanched crab had a firm outer layer and a soft inside, providing an enjoyable texture. The leg meat was soft and tender, with a very sweet taste. Various condiments such as ponzu sauce, lemon and yuzu pepper, sweet soy sauce, spicy soy sauce, and garnishes were provided to match each part of the crab. [Crab Chawanmushi] The ingredients included lily bulbs, minced yuzu, shiitake mushrooms, and ginkgo nuts, topped with crab flakes in a thickened sauce. [Grilled King Crab] We chose to grill it at the table to enjoy the aroma. A large brazier was provided, and those who ordered the grilled crab could cook it themselves. The plump meat, when squeezed with lemon, provided a refreshing taste of crab. [Crab Tempura] Two snow crab legs, nori seaweed, and okra were served as a tempura assortment. The tempura dipping sauce was lightly flavored, with grated daikon radish and grated ginger added. Tempura is often eaten with salt nowadays, but the tempura dipping sauce was surprisingly good. However, I wonder if the sweetness of the crab meat would have been more pronounced with salt... [Crab Sushi] Snow crab nigiri, pressed sushi, crab miso battleship, and a thick roll. The vinegared rice after the tempura was very good. The battleship sushi, packed with crab miso, was quite unique and not often found elsewhere! [Soup] The soup contained finely chopped yuba, two hand-rolled wheat gluten balls, and slender snow crab legs. [Fruits] One orange and two pineapples. Light and refreshing. [Highlight of this meal] - Sashimi! Different preparations of sashimi for king crab and snow crab. The main dish was indeed the most delicious! [Editor's Note] - It only comes once a year, but it still feels luxurious. - Looking at the individual prices, the course menu is definitely more cost-effective. - We received a New Year's gift on our way out. - The highball was strong! [Overall Rating] Overall: 3.9 Taste: 4.5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Cost Performance: 3.5 Drinks: 3.5 Thank you for the delicious meal. It was a treat. Next time, I will choose a different course. My stepbrother and I then went for a drink at "Hotei-chan" before heading home. (There is no review for Hotei-chan.)

My mother's birthday was approaching, so we visited "Kani Doraku" after a long time. We ordered the Relaxation Course (1 serving), crab salad, and a single serving of taraba crab vinegar leg. Kani Doraku's courses have large portions, so when going with my mother who eats lightly, we usually order one course serving and individual items that we like. Even so, when the course dishes are served, they provide double the amount of crab vinegar or soy sauce, which I always appreciate as good service. I remember the impressive size and deliciousness of the taraba crab vinegar leg I had at the Shinjuku store, but this time, unfortunately, I didn't feel much sweetness in the taraba crab, so it was a bit disappointing. The taraba crab charcoal-grilled dish from the course, however, was incredibly delicious, so I plan to order more grilled dishes next time.

The service was quite slow, and the drinks took a long time to arrive. They even forgot about me. It was strange how they placed the dishes on the altar before serving them. The crab was good, though. I paid a lot, so it better be good. The restaurant didn't seem to have much etiquette or manners. It's Shibuya, so maybe that's why. The soup was too hot. The room was also warm, so I had to change into short sleeves. But the crab sashimi was delicious, so I'll let it slide.

I enjoyed a calm atmosphere where I could leisurely savor my meal. This was my first time having lunch here. I thought it would be fine to visit without a reservation since it was a weekday lunch, but to my surprise, it was fully booked. I made a reservation for an hour later and returned. Feeling quite hungry, I decided to go with the lunch course called Ariake, which was a limited-time offer. I also added a crab gratin. In the end, I was quite satisfied. However, the crab flavor was a bit subtle, which was disappointing. Considering the current circumstances, I believe the price is reasonable. The crab rice comes with the shell, so it might be a bit inconvenient for those who are not fond of that. The service was good, as they provided about 5 hot towels. Next time, I plan to try a higher-tier course. I will save up for it until then. Thank you for the meal.

I suddenly felt like eating crab, so I went. It's on the 9th and 10th floors of a building. It's spacious. Maybe because I chose an affordable course, it felt average. I think I need to go for a more formal and expensive course next time. I want to come back to enjoy some hairy crab.

This winter, it seems that crabs are not being caught, making them expensive. However, crabs are delicious, aren't they? Kani Doraku Shibuya Park Street. Crab kaiseki course - Sachi Kumori: Crab appetizer, crab vinegar, crab chawanmushi, crab gratin, crab tempura, crab rice, red miso soup, pickles, dessert. Crabs are really delicious, aren't they? Of course, there's no way they could be bad. Everything was delicious, but personally, I liked the crab sushi the most. I ate until I was full. Thank you for the meal.

SEC Elevator, it's been over 50 years! (For some reason, I'm really into it right now. Not related to the main text) Let's raise a toast with my friends again! But let's be careful of the coronavirus and book a private room. Couldn't get a reservation at the Shinjuku main store or the Ginza store, but managed to get one at the Shibuya store! It's been a while since I indulged in crab before. When making a reservation, you choose a course, but wait, they've made it a bit confusing and raised the prices! Well, I guess it can't be helped. It must have been tough for them during this coronavirus pandemic. One thing that was really disappointing though, was that the Crab Road Customer Card, which was essential for those who occasionally go to Crab Road! It's been discontinued... Seriously? My card expires in October, so it's over for me. This is basically a 10% price increase. But oh well. Because I really, really love it! I will keep going there. I'm basically broke, so I only go for lunch (lol) For reference, the lunch crab kaiseki (杜) is 4,400 yen, a medium bottle is 715 yen, and a draft beer is 770 yen.

[Kani Doraku Shibuya Park Street Store] Kani Doraku offers high-quality crab at a reasonable price. It was my first visit. The interior is like a large-scale izakaya or a step up from a family restaurant. It has a clean and slightly upscale feel, with raised seating areas adding to the atmosphere. The waitstaff, all dressed in kimonos, add to the ambiance. One waiter, in particular, was extremely friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better. I learned that the people in a restaurant are crucial. The quality of the crab was excellent for the price. This crab-focused restaurant was a rare and enjoyable find!

I tried the 8800 yen charcoal-grilled kaiseki course (Akatsuki) and the 9240 yen Taraba crab course (Kagayaki) for the first time at the Shibuya branch of Kanidouraku. The restaurant is small but clean and very easy to use. They gave us a plate as a birthday gift. It was a reliable experience at Kanidouraku as always.

Accompanied by a business partner, I went to Kanisuki Do-Raku for the first time. We ordered the Kanisuki course, which included boiled crab, crab sashimi, crab chawanmushi, crab tempura, crab sukiyaki, and crab porridge. It was a satisfying course. The crab meat was soft and had a fresh taste. I wonder if it's not frozen. I also ordered crab rice as a souvenir, which was also delicious. We paired the meal with the original white wine from Kanisuki Do-Raku, which had a slightly sweet and refreshing taste that matched perfectly with the crab. I highly recommend it! All the crab dishes were delicious, but the best was definitely the Kanisuki. It was like a dream to be so full from eating crab. The prices were not too expensive, so I definitely want to come back again.

Private rooms are child-friendly and welcoming. The crab is delicious and served in a very easy-to-eat state, so there is no need to spend time extracting the crab meat. The menu may not be extensive, but everything you eat is delicious. You can't go wrong. The stability is wonderful!
