This is the original European-style curry, I had the spicy beef curry. It had been over 10 years since I last had it, but it was delicious. The side dishes were fukujinzuke and rakkyo, which are not commonly found. Located on the street said to be the roots of Bondi in Jimbocho, steamed potatoes are served, but I couldn't ask the owner why they serve potatoes today. I will visit again in a few years.

Both Bondi in Jinbocho and Petite a la Campagne in Kojimachi were incredibly delicious. They seem to be sister stores. The energy was high. We arrived around 6:30 on a weekday. The sign was a bit faded, but that didn't matter. The taste was the important part. My companion had the spicy beef, while I opted for medium spice. It wasn't sweet like Petite a la Campagne at first, but not spicy upon first bite. The heat gradually built up, lingering in the mouth. The meat was tender and generous in size, very tasty. The portions were satisfying! It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Located in Nishidai, Oufu Curry Indira is where I arrived around 11:30 on a Sunday. The sign outside is a bit too flashy and seems like they have no intention of fixing it. Upon entering, I was seated at a table for four despite there also being a counter. I looked over the menu and placed my order verbally. The beef curry, spicy. In about 5 minutes, the beef curry arrived. I poured it all over the rice and dug in. The meat was delicious, rich in flavor. It's no wonder, considering this was where the chefs at Jimbocho Bondi trained. I enjoyed every last bite.

I visited this restaurant after moving, and it had changed to a coin parking system from the gravel parking lot that used to be there. I was planning on getting the nostalgic chicken curry, but it was sold out, so I tried the pork curry for the first time. It had big, tender chunks of meat with a satisfying texture. I'm not good with spicy food, but I could handle the medium spiciness here. It had been a few years since I last ate here, but it was still delicious! If I have the chance to visit Tokyo again, I will definitely come back.

On a regular weeknight, I heard about the lineage of Bondi in Jimbocho and decided to visit. There were 2 tables and 2 customers at the counter. They seated me right away. The server brought a nice, sturdy hand towel and water. It feels good, right? They asked if I was okay with spicy leek and Fukujin pickles. Of course, I love them! While Bondi had Kyu-chan and Kozume, here they serve leek and Fukujin pickles! The beef with sweet sauce for 1400 yen was served in just 6 minutes. It had chunky beef pieces. It's a bit sweet but quite spicy! The rice was firm and good. Sometimes with curry, you run out of sauce, but not here. I even dipped the potatoes and butter in the sauce. It was a satisfying dish ✌️ Just one thing. Maybe I'm getting old... no, I want to think it's because I'm recovering from an illness. The portion was too much, and I ended up bending forward when walking. It would be nice if we could choose the amount of rice, so 4 points for that. This might be my issue... I really can't eat much lately. That's why when I get a delicious meal, I'm especially grateful. I finished in 20 minutes. Thank you for the meal! I'll probably come back again!

I visited for the first time in many years. I had the pork curry with medium spice. It was a bit spicy even though it was medium, so next time I would like to try the mild one. The curry had a hint of fruit sweetness, maybe? It was flavorful with a hint of sweetness amidst the spiciness. The side salad with dressing was delicious, and the familiar side of potatoes was also tasty. I plan to visit again soon for the beef curry and cheese curry. I am grateful that the restaurant has been running for a long time. The food is really delicious. I didn't go often before because it's close, but now I want to visit more often.

The European-style curry served by Nepalese people at this restaurant is different from the usual Indian curry, but it is delicious with a strong spice flavor. The beef curry is tender and melts in your mouth, and the rice with cheese on top is also great. The pickled radish and mixed pickles are sweet, and the salad with French dressing is refreshing with a hint of acidity. The accompanying potatoes are fluffy and have a delicious buttery flavor. Although the building is quite old, I hope the atmosphere of the restaurant remains the same.

I can eat European curry even though I'm not good with spiciness. It was decently tasty, but not enough to make me want to go back again. If I lived nearby, it might be an option. There was a P mark, so maybe there was a parking lot?

European-style Curry Indira @ Nishidai (Takashimadaira, Itabashi-ku, Tokyo) Beef Curry ¥1,400 Cheese ¥180 Score 4.0/5 ★★★★☆ It was delicious!! It's in the same group as Bondi, so the taste is pretty much the same as other European-style curries in the group. Consistency: thick and gooey. Flavor: fruity with a slightly salty edge. More "this is curry!" feeling compared to Gavial in Jinbocho. Meat: the familiar large beef chunks, about four of them. The cheese was a bit firm, so it would be nicer if it were softer and more melty. The only downside was that there was clearly not enough curry sauce, leaving leftover rice at the end. This deducts 0.2 from the score. Probably because the container for the sauce is small (laughs). - Other notes - Sunday, 15:15, no wait, empty seats #Indira #Nishidai Gourmet #Takashimadaira Gourmet #Nishidai #Takashimadaira #Curry #European-style Curry

The set drink was a disappointing orange juice that was not cold enough. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very Showa-era, but it feels like they only inherited the negative aspects of that time. For this price and quality, I would rather go to the nearby FamilyMart.

A few years ago, I found out that the roots of the Shinbashi Bondi I visited were here, so I had been wanting to visit the shop for a while. Finally, I had the chance to visit. There weren't many customers, but despite being a first-time visitor, the master and the staff were very friendly and made it a fun dinner. (I got so caught up in chatting that I forgot to take a picture of the curry on my rice, oops) Ordered the Special Curry Set (classic beef curry with potatoes, mini salad, iced coffee). The curry was rich and flavorful, true to its European curry roots - it was delicious!! I will definitely visit again! Thank you for the meal.

I heard that the famous Jimbocho restaurant "Bondi" was the predecessor of this place, Indira, and as a curry lover, I couldn't miss it even though I'm currently working on my body. The former owner of Bondi came up with the original Western-style curry recipe in Japan after being inspired by a brown sauce he had in France. When you walk through the old-fashioned sign that exudes a sense of history, you enter a retro interior that matches it. The most popular item to order is the beef curry. Beef curry (spicy) ¥1,400 is served with a whole potato and a spoon with a piece of butter on top. This is a classic of Western-style curry. The rice, topped with sliced cheese, and the sauce poured from the saucepot are also classics. The sauce is visibly filled with chunks of beef, making it very satisfying. The taste is, of course, delicious. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal.

I've always wanted to go to this restaurant. It's open all day, which makes it relatively easy to visit, but it's located near Nishidai Station, an area I rarely go to. This time, while cycling along the Arakawa Cycling Road from Arakawa to Asakadai, I started feeling a bit chilly and hungry, so I searched for a restaurant on my phone and realized that Nishidai was nearby. So, off to Indira I went! The sign of the restaurant was a bit faded, giving it a dignified look. It was established about 50 years ago. The interior resembled a classic coffee shop, creating a calming atmosphere. However, the background music felt out of place, like the deli section of a supermarket, so it might be better without any music. I ordered their popular Beef Curry, choosing the spicy level as "spicy". They asked if I wanted to add pickled radish and Fukujinzuke on top of the rice, which I agreed to. Finally, the curry was served! The rice was topped with cheese and a separate plate of boiled potatoes. The Beef Curry was filled with chunks of meat and priced at 1400 yen, which seemed reasonable. The sweetness of the onions and the fruity flavor were well-balanced, giving it a rich taste. The curry was so flavorful that it had been cooked down quite a bit, justifying the price. Despite being spicy, it only had a slight kick to it. They regularly refilled my water and provided good service. It was a satisfying dining experience! Thank you for the meal!

I visited on Saturday afternoon. I tried European-style curry for the first time and it was delicious with a good balance of flavor and spiciness. The hostess and her son were friendly and made me feel comfortable. If the sign outside is fixed, it would be a 5-star rating.

I have been to Jimbocho, and I visited this restaurant because it is part of the same chain. I was a bit unsure about the connection, but the taste was satisfying. I chose to add cheese as a topping. The basic curry already comes with cheese on top, which is enough, but I couldn't resist adding more. The potatoes that come out first are delicious!

The table sign on the sleeve is still "Inotif". It's like I'm starting to remember it by that name. However, this is a shining example of a traditional European-style curry. It's the benchmark for European-style curry around here. It's also a rare Sunday lunch spot in this area. I always have the chicken curry, so I should try something different for a change. Vongole... Wait, wasn't there shrimp curry at Indira? The vegetable curry also looks tempting. But today, I think I'll go for the beef. The female master is in charge of plating, while the young man is handling the hall. Is he the son? I don't actually know who is making the curry. I'd like to interview them sometime. I ordered the "Beef Curry (spicy)" for ¥1,400. It was served in about 2 minutes, maybe because it doesn't need to be grilled. I wish the curry was a bit hotter. The potatoes are piping hot. Be careful when peeling them. Perhaps due to the pandemic, the system of self-topping pickles like fukujinzuke and rakkyo has been replaced by already placed on the rice plate. 5 rakkyo is the same number I usually have, so I'm satisfied. The beef is tender! Even the lean parts are tender. It has been simmered thoroughly. And there are five big pieces of beef in it. The beef essence comes out in the curry and it's really delicious. This curry emphasizes richness rather than spiciness. Maybe it's because I'm getting older, but I don't feel as impressed as before. It's consistently delicious, but it feels like the fine-tuning has smoothed out the edges. It's abstract, but that's how it feels. Thank you for the meal. It's definitely a satisfying and delicious curry. I didn't expect the beef to be this delicious. Next time, I might try the seafood. Vongole.

You can choose the spiciness level from three options, slightly spicier than store-bought curry. It's more like a homemade curry rather than a pure Western-style curry, with thick ingredients and sauce. The beef doesn't stand out, but it has a nice spicy flavor that is homey and easy to eat, though it may be difficult to replicate. The taste is more Western-style, with a good beef and broth flavor. The cheese on top of the rice pairs perfectly with the sauce. The potatoes and butter make it a carb-loaded meal. The service is very attentive and the sweet Fukujinzuke and retro atmosphere complete the experience.

It's about a 15-minute walk from Toshimaen on the Toei Mita Line, and less than 5 minutes from Nishidai. I heard about a famous curry restaurant that is delicious and was looking forward to going there. When I arrived, I was surprised by the appearance of the place, which was both good and bad - I wondered if this was really the right place with a sign that had faded letters, from "Indira" to "Inodyf". I gathered my courage and went inside, finding a layout that resembled an old coffee shop. The menu was limited, and I decided to try the chicken curry, yielding the popular No. 1 choice to my partner. Soon, potatoes were served first, and the potato butter was surprisingly delicious. Then came the European-style curry, which was incredibly tasty. It was unfair how delicious it was given the appearance of the place. The curry had chunks of chicken with well-spiced sauce. I'm not a fan of spicy food, but I didn't find it too spicy, and I quickly finished my meal. If you happen to be in Takashimadaira, I highly recommend visiting this curry restaurant!

It's been a while since I had this dish. Today, I had vegetable curry. The curry sauce had beef cooked in it, so even the vegetables had a satisfying texture. The potatoes on the side were a nice touch. By the way, I wonder when they'll finally fix the sign of the restaurant that I haven't been able to read for a long time. Haha.
