Visited a famous curry restaurant known among curry lovers and spicy food enthusiasts. The spiciness level increases by 10 yen for each level, and there have been customers who completed over 10,000 times spiciness level. It would cost over 100,000 yen, but if you reserve a Capsaicin Party for 6 or more people at 3,800 yen per person, the spiciness increase is free of charge. However, if you can't finish the meal, the spiciness increase will be charged. In the past, there was a customer who ordered 4,000 times spiciness level at a Capsaicin Party, couldn't finish it, and ended up paying 40,000 yen. Arrived at the restaurant at 6:40 PM on a weekday, with only 2 customers before us. The walls were filled with papers listing names, spiciness levels, and comments of customers who ate over 50 times spiciness level. Seated at a table for 3, we sanitized our hands and looked at the menu. Unfortunately, some curry options were sold out. They were offering a special discount for a 1,000 times spiciness level until the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, reducing the price from 10,000 yen to 3,900 yen. I wanted to order it but found out I only had about 3,000 yen in cash. They only accepted cash, so I ordered a Michi Curry M at 650 yen with 150 times spiciness level, totaling 2,150 yen. I realized the importance of carrying cash even in this cashless society. Customers who ordered over 100 times spiciness level were offered complimentary tea for a limited time. The owner was friendly and shared interesting stories with us. The 100 times spiciness level of this curry was said to be similar to the normal level of Mongolian ramen. Eating 50 times spiciness level would make future spiciness increases half-price. Our Michi Curry and salad arrived in 9 minutes. I chose Boss Lemon Tea as the complimentary tea. The salad had cabbage, cucumber, corn, purple cabbage, and carrot with soy dressing. The curry was bright red with a strong chili pepper aroma. There was a generous amount of curry sauce compared to the rice. The curry had a sour taste, moderate spiciness, and low viscosity. It contained four tender beef slices. Since there was little rice, I ate half of the curry sauce alone and the rest with rice. Given that some people can handle over 10,000 times spiciness level, 150 times seems like an introductory level. I believe it needs to be at least 1,000 times spiciness level to feel spicy for me. Unfortunately, they ran out of completion certificates, so I couldn't write my name. Next time, I will check my wallet and try the 1,000 times Edo-style Curry L at 4,950 yen. Thank you for the meal.
