I went to Veroce again today. I ordered an iced coffee. The atmosphere inside was calm and not too noisy. The seating options include counter seats with outlets, sofas, and tables for two, which is nice. It seems like they are open until around 10 pm at night.

I came to Veloce to enjoy a blended coffee and coffee jelly. The 100 yen discount coupon was much appreciated. The coffee jelly was delicious, although a bit tricky to eat with the creamy topping. It was sweet and tasty.

I have used Veloce several times. It faces a large intersection and is conveniently located close to the station. I used to look for seats in the front of the store, but I recently discovered a small room in the back with more available seats. It seems like it used to be a smoking area, but now it's non-smoking. It's easier to secure a seat in the back. For a late lunch, I had a light sandwich.

I went on Tuesday night and tried the bittersweet coffee jelly they were selling. It had a lot of cream, so it wasn't too bitter and was quite delicious. The inside of the store was cold due to the air conditioning, but I warmed up with a blend coffee.

After enjoying a luxurious breakfast at a nearby standing soba restaurant, I took a break and visited this cafe. They have raised their prices again since January 12, 2023. Ever since being acquired by a Hong Kong investment fund Longreach Group in January 2020, the price hikes have been significant. I have found the sandwiches at Beloche to be delicious, the drinks reasonably priced, and they offer WiFi, power outlets, and good restroom facilities, making it quite convenient for me. When I first visited in 2015, coffee was 190 yen. By 2019, it had increased to 200 yen. After the acquisition, the price went up to 210 yen in October 2020, 231 yen in December, 250 yen in April 2021, and now 280 yen in January 2023, the biggest increase yet. I ordered an "American coffee" for 280 yen, used a 100 yen app coupon, and paid only 180 yen. I quickly made notes about my impressions of the place, updated the store information, edited some photos, and worked efficiently while classical music played in the background. Finally, I drank some water, earned some loyalty points, returned the tray, and said thank you for the meal.

Next to Iwamotocho Station is Veloce, which closes at 10pm but still has a fair amount of customers until closing time. The area that used to be a smoking section in the past is now a non-smoking section, making the interior quite spacious. There are still acrylic boards separating the individual seats, which are mostly private. Today, I had the usual blend coffee.

Next to Iwamotocho Station, there is a shop with a spacious interior and many seats. I ordered a hot coffee this time. Surprisingly, they still had coffee jelly, but it's usually sold out by night. Each seat has an acrylic board installed, which is great for individuals but slightly inconvenient for groups.

Usually, I stop by at McDonald's for a morning break, but today it was raining so I took the subway from Iwamotocho. Before that, I took a break. I visited "Cafe Veloce" for the first time in a while. I had a sandwich and a regular iced coffee for 560 yen. It's about 2.5 times the price of McDonald's, so it does feel a bit expensive. The sandwich was a bit dry. The coffee wasn't my favorite type as I prefer light roasts, so maybe that's why I felt that way. But the location is really great. Right next to the subway entrance. I think I'll stop by again sometime. When I looked back at the menu, I realized they have a morning toast set! That might have been a better choice. It's only 480 yen.

On Saturday morning, I aimed to visit Sarutahiko Coffee at Atre 1, but unfortunately they didn't offer a morning menu. So, I headed towards Iwamotocho and went to Cafe Veloce in front of the station. Last time, I had the C set, so this time I ordered the B set - Kaiser Sandwich (scrambled eggs and bacon) with iced coffee for 440 yen. The ice coffee at Veloce still has a strong bitterness compared to other Japanese coffee shops. I added two sugar cubes, which was just right. The Kaiser Sandwich was prepared in the kitchen, with the bread freshly baked in-house. It was crispy and not too sweet. The sandwich had a refreshing taste from the baby leaf lettuce at first, followed by the egg, and then the bacon in the center. The overall taste was light and refreshing. Towards the end of the sandwich, the thickness of the bread and the sweetness of the egg became more noticeable. Eating it slowly allowed me to appreciate the subtle changes in flavor. It was an interesting dining experience. Thank you for the meal!

This is a café located a 1-minute walk from Iwamotocho Station on the Toei Subway Shinjuku Line. (Visited on May 8, 2021) I stopped by here for a break before heading home and ordered a café au lait. It was reliably delicious. Although this café has quite a few seats, about 90% of them were taken. Still, it's convenient to find a seat in this location. There was also a smoking section, but the place seemed equally crowded whether smoking or non-smoking. Thank you for the meal.

Is this drink limited time only? Caramel au lait with mega marshmallow on top (418 yen for dine-in). The marshmallow is mega-sized!! A giant marshmallow skewered on a stick is sitting on top of the mug (^◇^;) They even give you a small plate, which makes sense. You can't eat this all at once. According to the menu description, you can melt the marshmallow and eat it. But it doesn't really melt at all (･･;) It just barely gets a bit gooey on the outside. When you take a bite, it feels like you're eating hanpen. Wait, is this oden?! It's a bit confusing. The drink is caramel au lait. It's quite caramel-y and sweet. And on top of that, there's a super giant marshmallow. This is a great dessert. I casually ordered it as an after-meal drink, but it exceeded my expectations and surprised me. When I returned to my seat with the drink, my colleagues were shocked and asked, "What's this?!" It became the center of attention. At that time, there was no one else in the restaurant ordering this. I laughed at the size of the marshmallow, which was beyond the image in the menu. I really want others to experience this mega-sized marshmallow.

The nearest station is Iwamotocho Station. It's right outside the station. It started raining suddenly so I took shelter here. The interior is non-smoking, but there is a smoking area in the back. I ordered the coffee jelly (320 yen). In Belcche, the coffee jelly has soft serve on top of the jelly instead of cream. The slightly bitter coffee jelly goes well with the sweet and smooth soft serve. It's one of my favorite menu items at Belcche. The store is near the station and not too crowded, so it's easy to use. I would like to use it again.

This day, lunch was in Iwamotocho. After a smooth lunch at PAOPAO, I planned to visit a bakery in Shinjuku and headed to Iwamotocho station, but there was a cafe next to the entrance of Iwamotocho station. I usually have a coffee time after lunch in my food log activities, but due to the COVID-19 situation, I have been hesitant to do so. However, this day, the cafe was relatively empty, so I decided to enter. The cafe is part of the chain operated by Shanoa Co., Ltd., which started in 1965 in Fussa City, Tokyo. The chain focuses on direct operation rather than franchising, ensuring speedy service and reasonable prices. The cafe I visited, Cafe Veloce, offers self-service and emphasizes quick service. The chain has 179 stores, with most located in the Tokyo metropolitan area. I visited the cafe before heading to Shinjuku and ordered a Baumkuchen and a medium-sized blend coffee. The total cost was around 350 yen, which is a great deal for a snack and coffee.

Visited on 2/19. The place seemed popular among office workers, with tables often used for meetings being fully occupied. It felt spacious towards the back. The ham sandwich with plenty of lettuce had a satisfying amount of filling. The iced coffee was light and easy to drink. Cafe Belle Epoque is affordable but offers a high level of satisfaction, making it a place I tend to visit when out and about.

The thickness of the day is quite unusual. I exit from the A3 exit at the Toei Shinjuku Line Iwamotocho Station heading towards Akihabara. I happen to see Caffe VELOCE next to me. The spacious interior and the availability of seats prompted me to take a break and have a coffee. I ordered a cafe latte for 270 yen and a premium malt beer for 350 yen. I inquired about the availability of draft beer and was pleased to hear that they serve it. I decided to add a draft beer to my order. The staff mentioned that beer is available from 7 am onwards, which was quite surprising. However, alcoholic snacks are only available after 5 pm. I enjoyed my cafe latte and draft beer in a relaxed atmosphere. The draft beer was served in a plastic cup and had a rich flavor. The plastic cup even had the VELOCE logo and cafe information printed on it. It was a pleasant experience to relax and enjoy a draft beer in such a cozy setting. The cafe was filled with people chatting and some even playing games while enjoying their drinks. Although it may be difficult to know which branches offer the "V Bar" service, I will be sure to check the menu carefully in the future. It would be great if this service could be expanded to more locations.

I joined the V Bar at Beloche. I tried 3 different drinks and 6 types of snacks. The red wine had a rich aroma and a nice level of bitterness, while the sausage platter was juicy and of high quality. The atmosphere of the shop was clean and relaxed, making it a great spot for a casual drink.

On the second day of my 10-day holiday, I went to Suehirocho to take a qualification exam. After the exam, I walked to Akihabara. In the morning, I also went to a café, had lunch, and then walked a bit further to this café in Iwamotocho. I ordered a cocoa float, which is a classic item at this café. It may seem ordinary, but that's what I like about this café. The combination of soft serve ice cream and cocoa was delicious as always. It was a comforting and familiar taste.

I had the freshly baked Hot Dog with Hakata mentaiko (390 yen) and American coffee (200 yen). I thought the freshly baked dog was a limited-time item, but it seems to be a regular menu item. Even though it's already February, it was still available so I decided to have it for a light lunch. It doesn't feel like a limited-time offer anymore, so instead of my usual spicy tacos, I went for the Hakata mentaiko this time. It was delicious. The texture of the cabbage was really good, and it added a nice crunch to the crispy bun. Knowing that I can have these anytime, I might make the freshly baked Hot Dog my go-to for a light lunch whenever I come across Beloché. Thank you for the meal.

The perfect balance of the juicy sausage, spicy sauce, and crispy taco shell is simply irresistible. I hope they add it to the regular menu. - The restaurant is quite spacious. The non-smoking section has counters where you can enjoy natural light. The smoking section is towards the back, with a smoky and dim atmosphere. It's located past the Doutor cafe after leaving Iwamotocho Station, so it can be a tough choice between the two, but this time I was drawn in by the "Freshly Baked Dog" and chose Caffe Veloce.
