Oh! It looks like you can also eat porridge here! I'm starting to find Chinese porridge restaurants nearby and I'm happy about it (*´▽`*) It seems like it's about the same distance from either the A2 or A3 exit at Jimbocho. It's a shop related to the popular Shinsekai Saikan. It's right in the neighborhood, isn't it? (*´▽`*) When I visited the newly opened shop, the staff confirmed, "We only offer these menus, is that okay?" They only offer Mapo Tofu, curry, and porridge. It's like a limited menu, or rather, they have limited the menu. I understand completely in this day and age (´・ω・`) I was thinking of trying the popular Half & Half with porridge, but it can't be helped. I originally came for the porridge, so I'll definitely have it (*´▽`*) The porridge, with seafood, vegetables, pickled mustard greens, minced meat with Ma La sauce, and preserved egg, is available in five varieties. Without hesitation, I chose the preserved egg, as I am a preserved egg lover (´∀`*)ウフフ There were no other customers at first, but as lunchtime approached, customers started coming in one after another. Even when informed about the limited menu, everyone responded with "Sure, that's fine" or "Yes, please", and sat down comfortably. It seems that the locals see this place as a safe place to eat, even with a limited menu. The porridge must have been simmering already, as it was served quickly (*´▽`*) Oh! There are plenty of preserved eggs in the porridge♪ A mini salad, almond jelly, and condiments are also served on the tray. First, I took a bite of the porridge as it is! Yes! It has a very gentle and smooth flavor, but the broth is rich and delicious (*´▽`*) The preserved egg also has a strong presence and provides a satisfying texture! I can feel the deliciousness and kindness of the porridge slowly spreading throughout my body from the inside of my stomach. I added the condiments, green onions, and "fermented tofu"??? What is fermented tofu? Is it like Okinawan tofu? Anyway, since I didn't know, I mixed it in and made sure it was evenly distributed. Then I took a bite! When you eat the original part and the fermented tofu part together, you can experience a gradient of flavors in your mouth, and again, it's incredibly delicious! (*´▽`*)♡ I finished eating with a bit of sweat on my forehead, and paid 1,100 yen feeling full and satisfied (*´▽`*) I also passed by Shinsekai Saikan, which was as popular as ever!
