After leaving the dentist in Jinbocho, I was thinking about what to eat while receiving treatment. Even though the conversation was serious about expensive medical care, the thought of "Let's have curry today" never left my mind. To enjoy food, sometimes you just have to accept the high cost of medical care. I passed by "Tori Aroma" near my former workplace, but it was full. "Biryani Osawa" requires a reservation in advance. So, I discovered "India Fujiko" nearby and decided to go there. I don't think this restaurant was here when I worked in Jinbocho. It used to be closer to Suidobashi than my favorite "Punch Mahal". I went up to the second floor of the building, opened the door, and wondered what kind of atmosphere it would be. There were two counter seats and 3-4 tables. I ordered a large draft beer for 900 yen and chose the "One-person Three-Point Assortment" for 800 yen from the menu, but when I asked for recommendations, they said, "Please choose something unusual." Since I had eaten a lot of edamame in the morning, I asked for something other than edamame, and the chef kindly prepared a small assortment for me. I think it's nice that the chef chooses the assortment for solo diners. The use of olive oil and spices was fantastic. The appetizers included edamame tabbouleh salad, masala water eggplant, baby scallop achaar, green bean walnut salad, zucchini scapece, watermelon mint salad, yellow gaspacho, lentil and spelt wheat, baba ghanoush, sweet potato and plum salad, potato basil pesto, and stuffed bell peppers. I think solo diners would all order this assortment, but I saw two solo diners at the counter ordering the yellow gaspacho separately. Maybe it's okay to order items individually. Since it was my first visit today, I played it safe and ordered the Chicken Liver Curry for 800 yen. It came with mini curry rice. The Chicken Liver Curry was spicy but well-balanced with spices, making it a delicious curry. I wouldn't call this Indian curry "authentic". I think Japanese chefs are good at using a lot of spices. Authentic Indian curry tends to use a lot of oil and separates in your mouth. I felt that the delicious curry here was worth getting the Keema Curry as an additional order. The Keema Curry had minced meat and a strong sauce impact, unlike any Keema Curry I had eaten before. The rice was basmati rice, which made me very happy. They probably have spaghetti and other items on the menu because they can use spices well, rather than just curry dishes. I had always thought of it as a curry restaurant, but I now see it as a spice restaurant. For drinks, I couldn't decide between India Fuji Sour for 600 yen or Chai for 500 yen. I chose the hot Chai, which was creamy, spicy, and sweet, and it was delicious. I think they heated the milk with a coffee machine, but how did they make this Chai so good? I want to try something other than curry rice next time. Items ordered: Chicken Liver Curry 800 yen, Keema Curry 800 yen, One-person Three-Point Assortment 800 yen, Large draft beer 900 yen, Hot Chai 500 yen.
