Bread to match the dish. Is that the idea behind making this bread? I can imagine this bread paired with certain dishes very well. - Petit Baguette Campagne With the flavor of whole wheat and rye, and a subtle acidity from the yeast. This bread, which I thought was cute, turned out to be the most unique. It goes well with cheese and rich foods. - Baguette The grayish hue suggests a high ash content in the dough, which gives it a rich flavor. The crust, with a chewy texture and a good bite, turns into a thin, crispy texture when lightly reheated. It is a versatile type of bread that can scoop up thick sauces. - Ciabatta This bread also has a dignified flavor, yet it has a modesty that makes it a supporting role. This bread pairs well with fish. - Viennoiseries A French-style loaf bread. The sweetness of sugar and milk gives it a rich flavor that makes you smile. It is not like high-end bread or hotel bread, but it has a very gentle richness. It goes well with egg dishes. - Chocolate Pavé Pavé is like a scone. It is packed with chocolate chips and has a great flavor. - Jambon Beurre The strength and flavor of the bread, the richness of the ham and butter. Everything coexists in a wonderful balance without overpowering each other. The taste differs between the thick center and the thin edges. The buttery edges are a delightful treat at the end. It makes me realize the food culture of bread countries. - Tunisian Tuna, olives, cucumber, and lemon butter were mentioned. The texture of the paste on this ciabatta is satisfying. ★ Today's best!! "Jambon Beurre"

I went to Tosio Okudapan after going to a public university. I went on a Saturday afternoon, so there were few bread options available. I bought a country bread. It is a dark-colored bread made with whole wheat flour. Unlike hard bread, the inside is soft and chewy, with a strong aroma. I thought it would go well with savory fillings rather than sweet ones. It's a simple and delicious country bread. Next time, I want to try their ciabatta.

I saw a sandwich that looked delicious on Tabelog, so I stopped by in the evening, but the sandwich was sold out. I bought a Ciabatta for 220 yen and another bread that was described as a French Coppe Pan (I can't remember the official name and price). At the register, I saw a lot of baguettes, so I also bought a Baguette Tradition for 340 yen. The Ciabatta had olive oil spread on it, and the Baguette Tradition was warmed up in the oven before eating. The inside was very soft and delicious.

Just a 2-minute walk from Todoroki University station, this cafe is located along a green belt. I had brunch on the second floor and bought some pastries to take home. Although I originally planned to buy something sweet on the first floor after having a BLT sandwich on the second floor, the BLT sandwich was so delicious that I decided to buy the same bread again. I couldn't find the exact same bread on the second floor, but the staff recommended a similar one, so I bought it. The next morning, I intended to surprise my wife with a BLT sandwich for breakfast, but I forgot to buy the ingredients. As a result, I ended up enjoying the warmed bread with Yotsuba butter and macaroni salad. The bread had a crumbly texture on the surface, so I had to be careful when handling it. The taste was outstanding! It wasn't an instant burst of deliciousness, but rather a gradually unfolding deliciousness as I chewed the soft bread. It was a unique bread experience for me, with the ability to enhance the flavors of the fillings, just like in the cafe. It was a wonderful bread that delivered a slow, yet impactful, sense of deliciousness. Thank you for the meal!

In a corner of France, there is a bakery where you can find baguettes, country bread, and rye bread among other classic breads. Pan de Miel - A bread made with firm brioche dough and flavored with honey. It's delicious on its own or toasted with butter. Ratatouille - A round bread made with baguette dough and filled with ratatouille. Campagne - A classic bread for meals. It has a nice aroma of flour that complements dishes well.

I used this bakery for the first time since it moved. I entered the shop after 3:30 pm, and the staff told me they would be closing in about an hour, so there were only a few types of bread left, including retro baguettes. I bought a retro baguette and a Galette Bretonne (sweet cream cheese bread). The baguette was just baked 10 minutes ago, so it was still hot. When I got home and ate it, the crust was crispy, the inside was moist, and it had a nice wheat aroma. The Galette Bretonne had a moist texture and was tastier than it looked.

I came back to this shop at Todoroki Daigaku Station after a long time. They have a great selection of meal bread like baguettes and campagne, still maintaining that Parisian bakery vibe. You can buy a large campagne sliced, and even just one slice is very satisfying. The chewy texture and aroma of wheat are delicious. The Pain Cacao is made with campagne dough studded with chocolate chips. It's dark chocolate, so it goes well with cheese.

After having lunch at "Curly Nob," we went to "Toshio Okudupan." It took about 2-3 minutes to arrive. According to reviews, they have delicious sandwiches like Jambon Beurre, Sosisonuff, vegetable sandwich, and ham and Camembert. Sounds good! On July 2nd, Sunday, around 12:05, there was one group of customers before us and one group after us. There were no signs restricting the number of people entering, but it's narrow so maybe 2-3 people at a time. When we entered, the sandwiches were already sold out. What a shame! But the baguette was freshly baked! Yay! They also had weekend limited edition bread. We ordered and paid with PayPay, and the prices were tax-included. We bought a baguette, Galette Bressanne, Walnut and Cinnamon Pavé, Cocoa Chocolate Bread, and Bacon and Chevre Cheese Bread. As for the food, the baguette had a great aroma and was chewy. The Galette Bressanne was a Sunday limited edition, but I don't remember much about it. Sorry! The Walnut and Cinnamon Pavé was small and cute, with a nice cinnamon flavor. The Cocoa Chocolate Bread was delicious with chunks of chocolate. Yum! The Bacon and Chevre Cheese Bread used goat cheese, which had a strong flavor, but I liked it. I heard their Jambon Beurre baguette sandwich is delicious, so I'd like to try it if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal!

A small bakery near Todoroki Daigaku Station. They also offer charcuterie and cheese. It is recommended to visit early as the selection tends to be limited by early afternoon. On a holiday before 2 pm, there was one customer ahead and one behind. The bread shelves were already half empty. [What I bought] Pan Cacao ¥800. The outside was crispy and the inside was fluffy, but it felt a bit too dense for my liking... Honestly, it's not my favorite. (Sorry) As of July 2023, the rating is 3.67. It will probably make it into the top 100 shops this year. If you like hard bread, you might enjoy it, but I'm not sure about other items... That's all for today's review. Thank you for the meal.

I tried the weekend special baguette for the first time. I love their basic baguette, but the special one with its chewy texture was my favorite. It has become my weekend treat. I also discovered Ash Parmantier for the first time when I went to buy the baguette. I couldn't resist buying it as well. It was a generous portion for two people, and it was still warm when I bought it. It was delicious even after it cooled down, and I enjoyed it with the baguette special and white wine. Even though I'm not a bread lover, this bakery has become my favorite.

【First visit on June 10, 2023】A shop that appears across the entrance of a road slightly to the right just after heading towards Midorigaoka Station from the south exit of Todai-Daigaku Station. On this Saturday, I wanted to have lunch at a ramen shop located between Midorigaoka Station and Todai-Daigaku Station. As I wanted to head to Shibuya afterwards, I came across this shop on the way to Todai-Daigaku Station. I had never heard of this shop before, but despite it being just past 1 p.m., the refrigerated case was almost empty... After checking on Tabelog and finding out that it was a highly rated store, I decided to buy a little for dinner. When I tried to enter the shop, there were already two customers inside the narrow shop. By the time I left, there were customers waiting outside, unable to enter the shop, so it seemed to be a very popular place! The remaining products seemed to mainly consist of baguettes. I decided to purchase the "Large Campagne" which was recommended and displayed. As the name suggests, the bread is sliced and sold in large sizes, with the size varying depending on the location, and sold by weight. I purchased two slices of the largest size in the middle. It was reasonably priced at 480 yen! I ate one of the slices at home that day. Originally, I had a strong image of Campagne bread being round, but this was a sliced version of the more commonly imagined baguette shape. The difference in image also reflects in the texture. It had a rich flavor from mixing rye flour and whole wheat flour. It had a high aroma, starting with acidity and leading to the sweetness of the dough. It was not overbaked, giving the surface a moderate chewy texture while smoothly transitioning to the fluffy and chewy texture inside! The dough had a sweetness to it, but the addition of butter enhanced the sweetness and saltiness. The next morning, I toasted it. The surface had a slight browning. This revealed that the dough contained a lot of moisture, possibly due to the season. It was even more fragrant and had a crispy texture all over! However, if you don't eat it quickly, it might absorb moisture from the air again. So, it's recommended to spread butter on it before that happens! Despite the crispy texture on the surface, the central part was cut to a thickness where a moist and chewy texture remained, allowing you to enjoy it to the last bite. Not only the taste, but also the fragrance and texture were excellent and enjoyable for a simple bread. I can understand why it's popular, and I would like to visit again early in the day to try their sandwiches! Thank you for the meal.

After finishing lunch, I visited the bakery around 1 pm, but unfortunately, there were only a few types left. They had Tradition and Special baguettes, so I bought the Baguette Special. As mentioned in reviews, the baguette had a crispy crust and a soft interior, making it delicious and easy to eat. I couldn't stop eating once I started from the end. I usually don't like baguettes much, but I really enjoyed this one. I definitely want to try their Campagne and Brioche next time.

While visiting Todai University, I stopped by a bakery that I had been wanting to try. The shop is famous for its baguettes, so I visited around 11:30 on a Sunday. Luckily, they still had some baguettes left! It was quite empty around 11:30, so I recommend going earlier in the morning. The baguettes here are so cute and have a delicious wheaty aroma. I recommend enjoying them toasted with butter at first. They are soft and fluffy, so I also tried making a baguette sandwich with bacon, lettuce, and cheese, which was really delicious! It seems like they also offer morning and lunch menus, so visiting for breakfast could be a good idea too! Thank you for the delicious meal! ♡

I was really intrigued by the reviews of the baguettes here. I entered the shop and the cute staff explained the differences between several types of baguettes in detail. Unfortunately, they do not offer half portions, so I had to give up due to certain circumstances. I purchased the Petit Baguette Campagne (170 yen) which was small but looked nice. The next morning, I had it for breakfast. The texture was a bit crunchy and not too crispy on the outside. It had a good chewiness and a hint of sweetness, making it very delicious. I also tried the Jambon Beurre (600 yen) and it was worth the price. The baguette they used was soft and tasty. The Kouign-Amann (380 yen) was also excellent, and the Pain au Noix (forgot the price) paired well with cream cheese. I really enjoyed all the bread, so I definitely want to try the baguette next time! It would be great if my friend could bring me some baguettes from this place when they come to the station, but carrying a whole baguette during work might be a hassle for them. I might ask them about it, who knows.

I visited a bakery that I had been wanting to go to for a while for lunch. I ordered the bread assortment, deli, and soup lunch set. The bread was simple and crusty, with 6 different types, all of which were delicious! The bean salad and pumpkin soup were also tasty, and I was very satisfied. I would love to go back again.

I'll buy a sandwich for lunch. Since it's the weekend, I went at around 10 o'clock to avoid the possibility of it selling out. Luckily, there was no line. I asked the staff for a soft bread and chose the sandwich called "Sosison-Uff". The bread was soft but dense. The filling included soft salami, sliced egg, and green kale. The balance of flavors was good with mayonnaise, salt, pepper, and a hint of cumin. After eating, I had a pain au chocolat and coffee. Both the bread and chocolate were soft and the best I've had of this kind of bread. The total cost for both items was over 1,000 yen. Although it's a bit pricey, I think the French-style bread is authentic and valuable. The bread is carefully made and the sandwich dishes are also good. It's surprising that it's not yet a well-known shop.

I visited the shop around 3:00 in the evening and there was nothing in the showcase! The only thing available was baguettes placed on the counter behind. Since I came all the way, I decided to have baguettes for dinner tonight. I purchased a traditional baguette. The inside dough was very chewy! Among all the baguettes I have eaten before, this one was quite chewy. It was definitely a delicious baguette. I would like to try a different bread next time.

In a corner of the town near Todai University, there is a bakery open early in the morning. The shop is not very spacious, but the showcase is filled with delicious-looking bread. The croissant I chose was still warm and freshly baked. When I took a bite, the aroma of butter filled my mouth. The texture of the croissant was also perfect. This is the croissant you should buy if you come early in the morning.

The location was easy to find from the station, even without knowing the area well. I arrived at 10 o'clock. There was a good variety of bread. I bought a baguette, a country loaf, and a fig and gorgonzola bread. The baguette had a crispy crust and a soft, moist inside, which was delicious. There were about two types, but I forgot which one I bought. They all had a wheaty flavor that I like. The fig and gorgonzola bread was perfect for enjoying with drinks. I would like to try other breads as well.

I had not eaten Galette des Rois yet this year, so I wanted to try the best one at a top-notch restaurant. I visited early in the morning and was lucky to find they still had Galette des Rois available for takeout. I'm looking forward to eating it. In France, they put a figurine inside, and whoever gets the slice with the figurine becomes the king and can give orders to the others, which is interesting. Similar events take place in Spain and Mexico, where the person who finds the figurine has to treat everyone. Halfway through January already. I hope it will be a good year.
