Today I went to Paul Bocuse Bakery at Daimaru Tokyo to buy some bread. Here is what I purchased: - Salt Macadamia Bread: 216 yen (tax included) - Rating: 3.6 A semi-hard bread with a salty flavor filled with plenty of macadamia nuts. It's a bit tiring to chew, but delicious. I would have liked it even more if it had cashew nuts instead of macadamia nuts. - Premium Aged Beef Curry Bread: 248 yen - Rating: 4.2 A curry with a depth of flavor as if it had been left overnight. The bread is crispy on the outside but not greasy at all. A really tasty curry bread. - Milk Cream France: 324 yen - Rating: 4.5 Filled with a slightly salty butter condensed milk sugar cream, it's delicious and rich. The bread is moist with a strong wheat flavor, creating a perfect balance. - Cream Bread: 194 yen - Rating: 4.2 The custard in this cream bread has a rich egg flavor yet is refreshing. The bread is fluffy and well-baked, making it an excellent cream bread. It ranks high on my list of cream breads. Overall, the quality of the bread is high, and they all suit my taste preferences. The bakery has a few stores scattered across the country, and I wish there were more. I enjoyed the delicious bread. Thank you for the meal.

On a regular day, I stopped by this bakery near Tokyo Station before heading home after finishing some errands. My wife wanted to try some different flavored breads, so I chose the following items from the display shelf: 1. Manul (a bread with cheese sauce sandwiched in it, baked with garlic sauce) ¥378 2. Premium salt bread (with raisins inside) ¥237 3. Salt Macadamia (French dough with macadamia nuts baked flat) ¥270 4. Creamy cheese and mentaiko bread ¥313 I tried each of them over two days and here is my honest opinion: Overall, all the breads were too overpowering and difficult to pair with something else. They were either too hard if not warmed up, or had too many unique flavors that didn't quite fit well with the Japanese palate. Also, they were on the pricier side. 1. Manul - The flavor was too overwhelming and heavy. 2. Premium salt bread - Too much bread and too heavy. 3. Salt Macadamia - Even when warmed up at home, it was too hard and heavy. 4. Creamy cheese and mentaiko bread - The flavor was too overpowering and lacked the mentaiko taste. It was also heavy. These are just my honest thoughts from my experience at home. Thank you.

When I see the French tricolor, the song of the people comes to mind♪ I stopped by Paul Bocuse in the evening and they have a new product called Croissant France. It's a combination of croissant and French bread. The surface is quite crispy, like a croissant? Hmm, not sure. The dough inside is low in moisture, it does resemble French bread. I wonder, is the butter lacking? When eaten as is, it leans towards French, but when half baked, suddenly the butter is strong, where did that come from? If you prefer the French style, eat it as is, but if you prefer the croissant style, warm it up.

When I come around here, for some reason I often end up buying bread at Joaan in Mitsukoshi, but since I'm at Tokyo Station, I decided to stop by. Lately, it seems like they're really into boules. Besides plain, they also sell olive and another type. I wonder if they use high hydration. It caught my interest, but I found a bread that I think I'd like, so I went for that. It had edamame and cheese in it. I also got a salt bread. The consistent deliciousness is impressive. Especially the abundance of edamame shows their hospitality spirit.

△・Shrimp Tartar Egg◻︎Details: It was different from what I imagined. I was expecting a more liquid-like or mayonnaise-heavy tartar, but this one was thick with less moisture. It's hard to recommend to shrimp lovers or tartar fans because nobody stands out as the star. △・Blissful Chocolate France◻︎Details: I thought it would have a crispy chocolate texture from the appearance, but it was actually quite soft, not stored in the refrigerator. It doesn't have the taste of good chocolate, more like supermarket chocolate. It might be different to expect depth of chocolate from a chocolate shop or high-end bakery. ◯・Chocolate Scone◻︎Details: The excitement was less compared to the first time I tried it. It's annoying how familiarity dulls the experience. ◻︎Visit Time: Around 13:15 on a weekday ◻︎Crowdedness: Waited for about 2 minutes (2 groups in line) ◻︎Reservation: No advance reservation ◻︎Number of Visitors: 1 person ◻︎Tabelog Score: 3.66 (as of August 2023) ◻︎Genre: Bread ◻︎Remarks: ==========

- Basil Sausage Name: Basil sausage, but doesn't taste much like basil. The taste is just as you would imagine from its appearance. A sense of déjà vu? The sausage or yakisoba bread are not usually found in upscale bakeries, so it's quite nice. - Chocolate Scone Details: The smell is really good. Usually, these kinds of pastries have a small amount of chocolate, but this one has a generous amount, which is much appreciated. Scones tend to be dry, but the liquid texture of the chocolate probably helps to soften it. - Visit Time: Around 1:10 PM on a weekday - Crowdedness: No waiting - Reservation: No reservation made in advance - Number of Visitors: 1 person - Tabelog Rating: 3.66 (as of August 2023) - Genre: Bread - Note: ==========

- Salted Chocolate Pretzel Details: Despite having plenty of chocolate chips, it is not overly sweet. The size is sufficient, and the price is cheap. It's a shame that the saltiness varies depending on where you take a bite. - Butter & Corn Details: As the name suggests, it's butter and corn. You can imagine the taste, but mayo and corn go so well together, it's delicious. The bread itself doesn't have much of a distinctive feature, which is actually good for this type of bread. - Visiting time: Around 1:30 PM on weekdays - Crowdedness: No wait - Reservation: No advance reservation - Number of visitors: 1 person - Tabelog score: 3.66 (as of August 2023) - Genre: Bread - Note: ==========

Located near Tokyo Station, this bakery is inside Daimaru Tokyo department store. It is a popular shop under the brand of Paul Bocuse, offering a variety of bread at reasonable prices. Managed by Le Relais Pasco Boulangeries, it opened in November 2007. It is about a 3-minute walk from Yaesu North Exit of Tokyo Station, on the basement 1st floor of Daimaru Tokyo store, near the escalator. I visited in the afternoon. The store is spacious and self-service. They offer a wide range of bread that is popular among customers of all ages, including sandwich bread, sweet bread, savory bread, French bread, croissants, and brioche. The bread is mainly soft with fewer hard options. Despite the different impression from the French master Paul Bocuse, the prices are reasonable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I purchased the following items (tax included): Petit Misch (183 yen) - A spindle-shaped French bread that is perfect for sandwiches with a crispy crust and fluffy crumb. Ultimate Natural Salt Bread (205 yen) - A crescent-shaped salt bread topped with rock salt, with a hollow center and fluffy texture. The saltiness of the rock salt adds a nice touch. A convenient and well-stocked bakery in the department store basement directly connected to Tokyo Station.

Cafe-style Paul is not my favorite, but I prefer the bakery-style here. The Cheese France bread is amazing, it looks big but it's light and crispy. If you get a half, you can eat it all in one go (lol). I forgot to take a picture. The Salt Bread is different from regular salt bread, it's dense and heavy. It wasn't to my liking. The Bacon Epi bread is big but easy to eat, I like the hard texture.

I couldn't forget the Manulpan I bought before, so I went back. The sweet and savory smell of freshly baked garlic attracted me to buy it again, and I couldn't resist biting into it right away. It was so delicious that I bought it again. When I reheated it at home, it was still good, but not as amazing as the first time - just delicious. The salted butter filling in the salt bread could have had a bit more salty accent. As for the boulangerie, there are other bakeries that offer more moist and chewy high-hydration boules, so I felt a bit unsatisfied in comparison. This shop seems to focus more on enjoying the fillings of savory breads and the combinations of ingredients in sweet breads, rather than savoring the texture of the bread itself.

I stopped by before heading home on the train. Due to the intense heat, I avoided cream-based and deli sandwiches that seemed like they would spoil quickly. Instead, I bought a croissant and a cheese-infused bread for breakfast tomorrow. When I lightly toasted the croissant in the toaster, it had a nice buttery aroma and a subtle sweetness. The cheese bread had a moist texture inside and a harmonious blend with the cheese, making it very delicious.

Famous French bakery. There are several French restaurants, but I don't know of any other bakeries like this one. This time, my husband bought: - Aged yeast bread (1/2 loaf 420 yen): Toasted with a dense, chewy texture. Not much wheat flavor. - Onion bread (680 yen): Rolled with roast ham and cheese, topped with onions. The dough is coarse and light, with the cheese soaking in without being too rich. - Overflowing white cheese bread (350 yen): Cheddar cheese visible, with cheese sauce and cream inside. Various cheese flavors and textures can be enjoyed, oozing out from the fluffy white bread. A bread that cheese lovers can enjoy, with a strong original feel. - Alsatian bread (360 yen) - Ultimate natural salt sandwich (310 yen): Topped with rock salt.

#Asagopan #PaulBocuse #RawBoulangerie #LemonCroissant #paulbocuse #Want to connect with bread lovers #panstagram #instafood #foodstagram #Breakfast Raw Boulangerie This is a high-hydration bread that is as fluffy and chewy as it gets. It is eaten as a meal bread, but (assuming there is no honey in it → not confirmed) it is so soft that even children and babies can eat it, as soft as a baby's cheek. It may look like a hard bread, but it is completely soft inside. This bakery has good value for money, right? This is also delicious with plain grapes → Oh, I didn't review that one... It seems they have recently introduced an olive boulangerie as well. This one seems to go well with wine. Today's bread is from Paul Bocuse Bakery, Daimaru Tokyo Store 03-3212-8011 Marunouchi 1-9-1, Daimaru Tokyo Store B1F https://tabelog.com/tokyo/A1302/A130201/13000140/ Apologies for the photo of our breakfast!

Today during lunch break, I bought snacks for myself and for the next day. I tried the "Blissful Chocolate France" for the first time, which is a cocoa-flavored French bread filled with Belgian chocolate cream and couverture. It was delicious, with the creamy Belgian chocolate inside and the crispy chocolate outside being exquisite. I wonder if the crust was even crispier when it was freshly baked. I'm definitely going to buy it again, but I'll have to wait until lunchtime... I also bought the "Raw Pool" bread, which I had purchased before and liked, so I think it's a popular item. There were many options available, but I can't finish a delicious French bread in time, so this one is great as it stays delicious for a longer time. It goes well with both sweet and savory flavors, making it versatile. I like to slice it and lightly toast both sides before eating it. It's such a happy moment. There were other bread options available in the evening, so I'll visit the bakery again when I go to work. Thank you for always providing delicious bread.

I visited the "BOULANGERIE PAUL BOCUSE Bakery Daimaru Tokyo Store" located in the food court "Hoppe Town" on B1F next to Tokyo Station in early June. I first entered the store and picked up tongs and a tray on the left hand side, then headed to the bread display shelves. On this day, I purchased the "Small Shrimp Tartare Egg" (291 yen) and the "Ultimate Sea Salt Bread Tuna Mentaiko Sandwich" (399 yen). When I got home, I immediately tried them out. The "Small Shrimp Tartare Egg" had a nice firm texture of small shrimp and a good balance of Camembert cheese's fragrant aroma, egg salad, and tartar sauce sweetness, making it a delicious bread that was enjoyable to eat. The "Ultimate Sea Salt Bread Tuna Mentaiko Sandwich" was a sandwich with mentaiko filling using rock salt, tuna, and shiso. The smooth and chewy texture of the mentaiko filling was fun to eat. Thank you for the meal.

In the final days in GW, I tried various delicious foods, but what I miss the most is bread. I prefer bread that is readily available, with a smooth texture and not too overpowering. This time, I had a baguette topped with coarse cheese crumbs, with a well-incorporated cheese flavor in the dough, from Paul Bocuse Bakery. It was delicious! When lightly toasted, the cheese aroma becomes more pronounced.

Left work at 5:30, arrived before 6. Found my favorite black bean bread, so happy! Even at this time, there were still items available. However, customers were constantly coming in and both of the two cash registers had about 5 people waiting. It was difficult to choose from the many types of bread. I looked at the salty ones but none matched my mood today, so I chose the large loaf that caught my eye, called "Raw Pool". The description said it's a moist and soft bread made with plenty of water. When I opened the bag at home, a nice aroma of bread filled the air. It was a unique bread, like a French bread with maximum water content. Thank you for the delicious bread, I will visit again.

You can go directly from the underground passage of Tokyo Station to the Daimaru department store, but it is so spacious that it's hard to know what's where. I didn't know there was a bakery by PAUL BOCUSE! "Brasserie PAUL BOCUSE BAKERY" was also close to closing time, so most of the items were sold out. However, there were still a few items that caught my eye, so I bought them on a whim: - Apple pie; 248 yen - Moist apple pie with cinnamon - Focaccia with macadamia nuts; 345 yen - Looks plain, but surprisingly loaded with macadamia nuts, salty and fragrant - Assorted mini muffins; 496 yen - Possibly from Cafe Croissant? Shaped like muffins, but the dough is like croissants

I love Tanba black bean bread ^_^ I arrived at the company at 6:17 pm and got there around 6:40 pm, so I was prepared for it to be sold out, but luckily there was one left, yay! I'm excited to wake up tomorrow morning, it's important to treat yourself to something good at night. The pop for the Tanba black bean bread says: "Made with domestically grown Tanba black beans mixed into a dough with condensed milk." I can't really explain why it's so delicious, but the balance between the dough and the filling is perfect. The dough has a nice moistness to it, and the black bean paste is different from regular red bean paste, but it's so yummy. Starting the day with this bread makes me happy. Thank you, bakery, for the delicious bread today. I'm happy from the morning ^_^

★Homemade black bean rice flour bread dough is incredibly soft with a mochi-like texture. At first glance, it looks like a simple bean bread, but it is filled with plenty of sweet red bean paste, giving it a smooth and exquisite taste. ★Cream bun I forgot the official name, but it's not your typical cream bun. It's more like a donut with sugar coating on the surface, and it's filled with a generous amount of custard cream. It's so rich and almost feels like a dessert, making it quite a handful to hold. ★Ultimate salt bread The raisin butter-scented dough is crispy and moist, with a nice touch of rock salt on the surface. It's heavier than expected, with holes left after the butter melts. The juicy raisins scattered throughout add a strong sweetness to the bread.

This is a bakery located on the basement floor of Daimaru Tokyo Department Store. Although it bears the name of a famous French chef, it is actually operated by a subsidiary of the major bread-making company Shikishima Seipan, called Rare Passco Bakeries. They also manage the French bread brand PAUL, as well as the bread section of Takashimaya and Peck. In Tokyo Station Gallery, I stopped by to buy bread on my way back from viewing the exhibition of Yuji Saeki, and the lineup inside the store is quite Japanese-oriented. Along with traditional French bread, there are also a variety of sweet and savory breads. I chose the salt bread originating from Ehime Prefecture and a loaf of bread. The salt bread, called "Extreme Salt Bread," priced at 194 yen, has rock salt sprinkled on the surface, giving it a unique flavor. The loaf of bread I chose was a quarter of a French Pain de Mie, priced at 216 yen. The "Extreme Salt Bread" paired well with the cream stew I had prepared the day before, with a rich buttery flavor and a firm texture, accented by the rock salt. The Pain de Mie was enjoyed the next morning as toast. It had a light and slightly coarse texture compared to typical Japanese square loaves, with a subtle sweetness and a crispy texture when toasted. I also enjoyed it with a fried egg. I wonder how Rare Passco Bakeries manages the recipes of different brands under their management, especially considering the confidentiality agreements they may have with department stores.
