I love the yakiniku restaurant, NIKU TATSU. I have been to the Aoyama main store twice, the Ginza store once, and this is my first visit to the Shibuya store. It's about a 5-minute walk from Shibuya Station. Just walk straight on Park Street, turn left at the intersection in front of Tower Records, and it's about 50 meters on the left. It's a street-level store, easy to enter, and has a slightly more casual atmosphere compared to the main store or Ginza store. However, all seats are completely private rooms, so there is a sense of luxury. This time, we ordered various items a la carte.
- TATSU Salad (half) 660 yen: A salad with homemade corned beef that is satisfying to eat. I learned from past experiences that a half portion is just right for two people.
- NIKU TATSU Yukke (sauce) 1,650 yen: A must-order dish when you come to NIKU TATSU! Since it is a restaurant with a permit to handle raw meat, you can legally eat raw meat here.
- Premium Tongue Salt 1,980 yen: Thinly sliced with a moderate chewiness, this beef tongue has a deep flavor.
- Akami Assortment 3,960 yen: It includes red meat steak (shinshin), premium loin, and red meat yakiniku, each with instructions on how to cook and eat them. We enjoyed the steak and loin with wasabi, and the yakiniku with a quick sear and ponzu sauce. It was a set that condensed the charm of Omi beef.
- Hormone Assortment 3 pieces 2,090 yen: You can choose three types of hormone from the lineup, and we chose premium rumen, heart, and tongue hormone. The careful pre-processing makes the hormone easy to eat without a strong taste.
- Premium Harami 2,990 yen: The premium harami was really extraordinary since the top harami was sold out.
- Pork Toro 880 yen: It's soft and delicious with fat on it. I always end up ordering this.
- Tongue Cutlet Sandwich 2,200 yen: I thought this was only available at the Ginza store, but they also have it here! The balance of the tender beef tongue cutlet, sauce, mustard, and bread is exquisite, and I'm glad I could eat it again.
- Yukke Bibimbap 1,650 yen: We had the famous yukke as the last dish. Mixing it with rice and namul brings out a different charm of yukke. We enjoyed changing the taste with the set's gochujang or making it into a kuppafu with wakame soup.
- Special Smooth Pudding 550 yen: With cream in it, it really melted smoothly. The roasted tea syrup was fragrant and refreshing.
They have a wide variety of drinks, so you can find anything you want to drink. I had various drinks like draft beer, glass of red wine, shochu, sour, etc. The staff are very friendly and provide great service, considering the order even when ordering multiple items. NIKU TATSU never disappoints! Even though I just ate, writing this review makes me want to go there again.
