ORDER ----------------------------- ◆ Griotte Pistachio ----------------------------- [About the dish] A beautiful cake coated with ruby chocolate, with Griotte cherry sweet and sour jelly and mousse, homemade semi-confit, pistachio cream, and bavarois white chocolate mousse on top. The richness of pistachio and the deliciousness of Griotte cherry complement each other, creating a cute and popular cake that is of a high level that is understandable. [Impressions] When you order a cake and drink set, you also get a bonus chocolate, which is a delightful service. The chocolate was also delicious. They provide water, but it would have been even better if they refilled it at least once when it ran out, haha. Since I happened to pass by Daikanyama, I visited this shop for the first time since it opened. It was close to closing time, but there was only one table available in the eat-in area. I thought, "Can I finally eat in at 'Atsushi Hatae'?" but unfortunately, all the cakes were sold out. I ended up getting takeout instead. The brioche feuilleté had a slightly sweet dough with a surprising amount of butter, especially when warmed up. The dark cherry Danish had a subtle acidity from the cherries on top, complemented by the sweetness of the Danish dough. The daily Danish (pain aux raisins) had a hint of flavor, but I couldn't find the raisins at first - they were sparsely mixed into the dough. There was a spice-like flavor, but I couldn't quite pinpoint what it was. The shop was cute, the staff was cute, and even the bag was cute. When it first opened, it wasn't very popular, but it seems to be gaining popularity gradually.

I walked to Daikanyama for the first time in a while and decided to stop by here. It was close to closing time, but there were still quite a few varieties available. I tried the "Flora" for 864 yen, which is a chocolate mousse dessert with blackberries on top and hard chocolate decorations on the side. The decorations had a crispy flavor element to them. The dessert had a complex multi-layered structure with chocolate, berry, and flavored tea cream layers. There was also a sponge layer to balance out the richness. It was delicious with various flavors to enjoy.

I came wanting to eat a cake that looks like a fruit such as Dekopon, but unfortunately they didn't have it! It seems they don't always have cakes made to look like various fruits all year round, so it's more like a lucky find if they do have it. Therefore, I ordered a cake filled with deliciousness, with apple and mango inside, along with chunks of pineapple, in a cafe where you can use 5 seats. The mango main with the sweetness of pineapple mixed in was a complex and delicate cake that was well put together. It's a bit pricey, but the deliciousness makes you want to try other cakes as well. Located about an 8-minute walk from Daikanyama Station, this patisserie visited on a weekend afternoon. The Food Log rating at the time of the visit was 3.55 (May 2023). The chef, who used to work as a pastry chef at Alain Ducasse's group restaurant, has opened this independent shop. There are also stores in Yoga and Takanawadai, but this one seems to be the flagship store with an eat-in option. The spacious interior exudes a luxurious atmosphere. As it was past 4 pm, about 40% of the items were sold out. Purchased the following two items: - Shonan Gold and Earl Grey Tart (756 yen) - Gourmandise (756 yen) [Shonan Gold and Earl Grey Tart (756 yen)] A tart made with Shonan Gold, which is in season from March to April. The refreshing acidity and moderate sweetness of Shonan Gold pair well with the citrusy aroma of Earl Grey. It's similar to a lemon tart but more balanced in terms of acidity, making it easy to eat. [Gourmandise (756 yen)] Consisting of three layers of triangular chocolate, with chocolate and tea ganache, caramel, and orange sauce in between, all on a crispy textured base. Despite the rich chocolate flavor, it doesn't feel heavy thanks to the hints of tea and orange. The combination of the crispy top and base adds to the enjoyment of different textures. Very delicious! Highly recommended. I would like to visit other branches and try different types of cakes. Thank you for the meal.

In 2019, the shocking patisserie "Atsushi Hatae" opened three stores simultaneously in Takanawa, Yōga, and Daikanyama, offering flavor-focused petits gateaux. Since the Yōga store I visited last time received high praise, I decided to go to the Daikanyama store. It's about a 10-minute walk from Daikanyama. Passing by Il Pleut Sur La Seine, you turn onto a side street from the main road to find the store. The distinctive black entrance is the same as in Yōga. The Daikanyama store also has seating for eating in. The showcase has about 15 types of petits gateaux, as well as two daily specials. On this day, the specials were Fraisier and Millefeuille. I visited on a good day (^ ^) Other offerings included strawberry tart, Mont Blanc, and many chocolate-based desserts. The prices are mostly over 800 yen, but the sizes are also quite large. After some deliberation, I purchased about five items and enjoyed them at home. - Fraisier (972 yen) ★3.9 Using Amaou strawberries, very juicy. The mousse has a nice balance of texture, sweetness, and richness that I like. The Kirsch was not very noticeable, and it was made quite sweet. - Millefeuille (810 yen) ★3.9 This Millefeuille is a one-layer pastry sandwiched with puff pastry. The thin layers of puff pastry are crispy and light in texture. The cream inside contains vanilla and mascarpone, giving it a rich flavor. I purchased a cake near this shop, which is about a 10-minute walk from Daikanyama Station, as I had some errands nearby. The cakes I had today, the Mont Blanc and the Imitation, were both very delicious. The cake of the day, I believe, was a Millefeuille, and the pastry was crispy and tasty. There were other cakes that caught my eye, so I plan to try a different one next time.

I didn't plan on buying anything for myself, but the cakes in the showcase were so beautiful that I couldn't resist and ended up purchasing one. I chose the Raspberry Cake from the daily selection because it had a stunning pink layer. It was sweet and tangy, with a moist sponge. The elegant scent of raspberries spread in my mouth, making me think, "Oh, this is delicious." I want to savor it slowly and carefully. I would like to try other cakes as well, so I'm thinking of visiting again next time for dining in.

After enjoying a French meal at Passion in Daikanyama, I decided to search for "sweets" in the area. I found a highly rated patisserie within walking distance and decided to visit. It seems that the shop is run by Atsushi Hatae, who gained experience as a pastry chef at Dominique Ansel Tokyo. The spacious interior had a seating area which was full, but the showcase at the back displayed a variety of sophisticated cakes that made me curious about their flavors. The prices were quite high: 1) Snow Rabbit for 1500 yen, 2) Mille-feuille for 810 yen, 3) Today's dessert for 864 yen, 4) 100-year Red Apple Tart Tatin for 810 yen, 5) Triangle for 648 yen. The cakes I tried here were the best I've had recently. Not only were they visually appealing, but the variations in flavor from the amount of butter and use of liqueur, along with a subtle sweetness, made each cake unique and surpassed my expectations. It wasn't about being overly unique, but rather sticking to the basics and having a solid foundation. The Mille-feuille and Triangle were especially delicious, and I found myself reluctant to finish them because of how good they were. This place is truly amazing. If you ever pass by the old Yamate Street in Daikanyama, you will definitely remember and want to visit this place again. It has left a lasting impression on me.

I went to buy souvenirs for someone. The baked goods were priced at around 300 to 400 yen each, which is somewhat expensive. I also bought two cakes for myself. The Imitation Grand (pear) and Raspberry cake was delicious with the pear and cream inside. The white chocolate coating had a slightly unique taste. They also have an eat-in space, so it might be suitable for a date in Daikanyama.

The acidity is vibrant and pairs well with the weight of the banana. Sicily ★ A cake made with pistachios from the village of Bronte in Sicily, with layers of pistachio cream mousse, ganache, almond cream, and feuillantine. The 10+ layers show the effort put into making this cake. The addition of a layer of salted caramel adds a nice touch. Triangle ★ A combination of chocolate and caramel mousse, caramel cream, and penang nuts in a brownie and chocolate biscuit. The rich caramel flavor keeps it interesting. Canele ★ A very fragrant type of canele. Bostock ★ A French pastry made with brioche and plenty of almonds.

It was a long time since I had a cake that I found delicious. The mille-feuille might have been the best I've ever had. The aroma of butter was irresistible. It's great that they have a place to sit in and relax, perfect for when you're tired from exploring. I will definitely stop by when I go to Daikanyama. The bread I bought was also really delicious.

A stylish salon located a short walk from TSUTAYA in Daikanyama. The eat-in option costs an additional 770 yen, but the cakes are beautiful. I chose the sparkling White Rabbit tart with white strawberries. It's incredibly cute and delicious. The tart crust is sweet but not overwhelming, with a crispy baked texture that is quite tasty. The cream may be a bit sweet, but when paired with coffee, it's well-balanced. I think it's really delicious. My friend's chocolate cake was also shared, and it was a four-layered cake with a smooth texture and changing flavors, making it a delicious treat. I would love to go back and try the Red Apple Tart and Mont Blanc next time.

I went to Atsushi Hatae to try their winter limited edition dessert, the "Snow Rabbit". The tart crust was topped with a large white strawberry and a round strawberry sauce in the middle. I dropped by a cake shop on a whim. It had a stylish interior. The Dekopon tart was 900 yen. The fruit was delicious and the tart's mousse was intricately made and deep in flavor. Even my child enjoyed it. It seems a bit pricey for everyday use.

A cake shop quietly standing in a tranquil alley in Daikanyama. The elegant storefront with glass walls exudes a sense of luxury, and the elegant cakes lined up are perfect for delicate cutlery. Look at this choux cream, slim and upright, like a noble lady. The bottom is wrapped in pie dough or choux pastry, as if saying "I just bloomed." The shop opened three locations in July 2019 in Yoga, Takanawa, and Daikanyama. The Daikanyama location is in a prime area with a stylish and sophisticated atmosphere. I have been to other stores of the same chain before, but this is my first time here. I got a cookie assortment for takeout. It includes 6 different types of cookies, each individually wrapped, and they are all really delicious. The packaging is also very cute, making it suitable for giving as a gift. I would like to visit another store of this chain and next time, I definitely want to try their cakes.
