In October 2022, during a sweets and bread tasting trip in Tokyo, I visited "eteco bread" in Ikejiri after purchasing bread at "Le Ressort" in Komaba Todai-mae. The bakery was small and only allowed 2 groups inside at a time, so I waited for about 15 minutes. Inside, there were various delicious-looking breads to choose from, and I ended up buying 3 items: haricot rouge (red bean bun) for 360 yen, figue for 420 yen, and Tartine legume for 800 yen. For lunch, I had the vegetable tart and red bean bun outside. The Tartine legume was packed with various vegetables like cauliflower, lotus root, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, pumpkin, okra, greens, shishito peppers, sweet potatoes, mini carrots, zucchini, green beans, eggplant, pumpkin seeds, fennel, seasoned with salt, pepper, cheese, and olive oil. It was a generous portion and each bite had a different flavor, making it a satisfying meal. The red bean bun had a similar shape to a maritozzo with a rich buttery flavor and a soft texture, complemented by walnuts. The figue bread, enjoyed later in Osaka, had figs simmered in red wine and cream cheese inside. The bread itself had a delightful texture, with bits of fig incorporated into the dough. Overall, all the breads were delicious and satisfying. Thank you for the meal!

It's art, and it's delicious. At etecoBREAD in Ikejiri Ohashi on the Inokashira Line, they have scallop, squid, zucchini, and broccoli bread, long asparagus bacon bread, and cream croissant. They are all beautifully made and mesmerizing to look at. The savory breads are flavored with herbs and the vegetables are cooked perfectly. It's a bit pricey but there's nothing else like it, so I want to keep going back.

☆Cream Croissant ⇒ One that I had been curious about for a while. It was quite large with plenty of cream. The sweetness was mild and delicious. ☆Croque-Madame ⇒ Packed with shrimp, avocado, ham, and a sunny-side-up egg. It's a bit pricey but it's enough to satisfy your hunger. Despite the high price, no regrets after buying. Thank you for the meal.

I have been going to eteco recently because my favorite bakery moved. I love their Tartines, especially the Corned Beef Tartine, Bacon Asparagus Tartine, and Potato Quiche. The Croque Monsieur with summer vegetables and bacon is also delicious. I always look forward to seeing what seasonal ingredients they use. The must-tries are the Apple Pie, Croissant, and Muffin.

Clockmush of corn in season. It was delicious with a sweet taste and a good combination of cheese and ham. The custard cream croissant that I had been curious about for a long time was filled with plenty of custard cream. The crispy croissant and rich vanilla bean custard were delicious. The third photo is a croissant with plenty of mushrooms and cheese, with cheese, ham, and a paste-like substance of matsutake mushrooms sandwiched in between. It was like a croissant version of a crockmush, and it was delicious.

A neighborhood near the pond with a few trendy shops heading towards the residential area. I've tried to visit a few times, but it was always crowded until I finally got to go! The bread displayed like pieces of art are all charming. I tried the croissant, pain au chocolat, and the sweet bread loaf. They were all satisfyingly delicious! Especially noteworthy is the sweet bread loaf! It's amazing even without any spread, and when toasted, it's exquisite.

The bread here is expensive, but each one looks beautiful. Among them, the cream-filled croissant caught my eye today. Of course, it was delicious. Other breads like fig bread also caught my eye, but they were over 900 yen, so I hesitated. Thank you for the meal!

I had a croissant for 340 yen, an anpan for 360 yen, and a croque-madame (shrimp and avocado) for 980 yen. It was my first visit to this famous bakery near my house, and the sizes of the pastries were satisfyingly large. They all looked beautiful, and the interior of the shop was enjoyable to look at.

I finally visited this restaurant that I had always wanted to go to! There were only two other groups besides me right after it opened. I had a hard time choosing because everything looked delicious! I finally selected two dishes, and both of them were delicious. The interior of the restaurant was stylish and lovely.

A colorful and stylish bakery located by the pond ✨ I visited around 13:30 on a weekday. As I entered the store, I saw a wide variety of stylish and delicious-looking bread lined up! There were many savory bread options, all of them big and well-balanced, making it hard to choose. I had to give up on the cream bread I originally wanted after trying various items at other shops. Instead, I bought a Fig and Mushroom Tartine for breakfast. It had plenty of mushrooms and large figs, a unique combination that I had never tried before! The texture of the mushrooms combined with the sweetness of the figs perfectly, and the Tartine itself was not too hard, with a good bite to it. I'm also interested in trying their Croque Monsieur and Danish with fruits next time!

I tried stacking bread slices *\(^o^)/* The shop that seems to convey the deliciousness from the whole fig in the cross-section is "eteco bread". I had the impression that they mainly had savory bread and Danish pastries, but the fig bread was also really good. The dough has a nice firmness and is fluffy inside. The walnuts kneaded in add a good texture and aroma! The whole fig inside is sweet and fragrant. It pairs perfectly with cream cheese. The classic flavor Quiche Lorraine has a soft and crispy pie crust! It's filled with plenty of eggs, giving it a smooth and rich custard-like texture. Despite being baked, it tasted fresh with lots of eggs, tomatoes, olives, etc. on top. For those who like cheese and unique flavors, I recommend the Fromage Gorgonzola with plenty of Gorgonzola cheese! The bread has a nice firmness with a brown color like bran. The sweetness of honey balances well with the slight saltiness! Inside, there are crispy baked apples, giving a crunchy texture and fruity taste. The large-sized Pain au Chocolat has a crispy and fragrant outer layer with a good texture! Inside, it's chewy and has a subtly rich buttery taste. It's filled with lots of chocolate, allowing you to enjoy a hint of bitterness as well. It's not overwhelming and easy to eat. Since it's a high-end bread, I can't buy too much at once, but I want to go back as there are many more breads I want to try and the atmosphere of the shop is to my liking.

The Croque Madame was tall, fluffy, with a simple and gentle taste, very delicious. The Vegetable Tartine had the perfect firmness of vegetables, allowing me to enjoy the texture. The variety of options was also pleasing. The bread had a rustic flavor. The Croissant was very large, crispy, not too oily, and delicious. *Expectations* Each item offered a different kind of enjoyment. Although the prices were a bit high, it felt like a reward to treat myself.

Located near Keio Ikenoue Station, "Etéco Bread" is a bakery that I had seen on TV before and wanted to visit. I finally had the chance to go and was impressed by the visual appeal of the small shop filled with lovely breads. It was enjoyable to choose from the selection of breads. Since I had some time before heading home, I had to resist buying any sweets. However, the breads I purchased were all delicious and satisfying! Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I completely ignored the appearance that could be mistaken for a ruin, but once I opened the smoke glass door, it felt like I had wandered into a theme park. The breads lined up in the display case were artistically arranged, looking like they came straight out of a picture book. The concept was not only in the center, but also extended to the edges, with plenty of cream and toppings to make them delicious. Although the prices were a bit high, I recommend mustering the courage to make a purchase. This bakery is a definite contender for the next top 100 list. The bakery, "Ikenoue Etoko Bakery", was greeted by a beautiful lady who had a smile like a tall model. It was a popular local shop, so many items were already sold out, but I managed to get a few that caught my eye. - Creme de croissant: 630 yen. A delicate and flaky croissant filled with creamy custard. It was big and delicious. - Figue: 420 yen. A hard dough with red wine stewed figs, cream cheese, and pistachios. The fig's moisture made the dough easy to eat. It may look plain, but it is really tasty. It's big. - Tartine de pomme: 780 yen. Thinly sliced apples with diced apples hidden underneath, topped with caramel and cinnamon. It may seem difficult to eat, but it had a crispy and easy-to-bite texture. It was super big and super delicious. - Epeature Noix: 550 yen. A flavorful spelt wheat dough with plenty of walnuts, perfect for a meal. It was big and tasty. All the breads were satisfying from the first bite to the last, offering excellent quality in a solid and substantial size, unlike the small but expensive ones found in famous shops in the city center. This bakery is almost unbeatable.

I visited a bakery recommended by Pan-kun that is perfect for flower viewing. The moment I entered the store, I was amazed by the variety of breads. I ordered the Strawberry Train and Shine Muscat Train Danish as recommended. The crispy Danish pastry was delicious! The custard was tasty, and the fruits were sweet, complementing the custard perfectly. #TokyoCafe #TokyoGourmet #TokyoSweets #TokyoCafeHopping #CafeHopping

The shop had breads that looked like works of art. Each bread was generously filled with ingredients, and the display case sparkled. The prices were a bit high, but the quality was impressive. The staff were friendly and approachable.

I walked to Shimokitazawa to have curry and maybe buy some bread. The atmosphere was nice with a big glass entrance, a showcase filled with sparkling bread, dried flowers on the left, and a view of greenery from the window. The ordering process was limited to two groups only. You choose your bread, they take it for you, and then you pay. It seemed like they only accepted cash as there was no indication of card payment. There were only two groups before me. I stayed for about 10 minutes. The staff, who seemed to be locals, were enjoying conversations with the few customers. The menu included quiche, pain de mie, bread with vegetables on top, fruit on puff pastry, muffins, croque-monsieur, and more. There is no parking available. The orange pie priced at ¥880 was a bit expensive but worth it with a large orange half covered in caramelized sugar on top of layers of crispy pastry. The butter roll priced at ¥120 was soft and fluffy. The tomato bread priced around ¥800 had a delicious tangy flavor. I also bought a pistachio muffin priced at around ¥690 or ¥650 as a gift for my colleagues. These were not your average breads but more luxurious options. They were large in size and perfect for sharing with a group.

Anchovy Epi for ¥340, Croque Monsieur for ¥850, Carrot Cake for ¥540. Everything was delicious, but the Anchovy Epi was especially tasty. I had three of them and they were so satisfying, with the perfect balance of bread and salty anchovy flavor. The price for six pieces at ¥340 is a great deal. The Croque Monsieur was also delicious, and the Carrot Cake was not too sweet and easy to eat. The frosting was not too heavy, and the cake was moist. The Anchovy Epi left the biggest impression on me. Overall, this bakery is a place where you can feel really happy.

A shop with inconspicuous signage. Each item is large and satisfying. The prices are high but worth it. The mentaiko baguette was delicious but a bit too firm and not very soft. The croissant lacked buttery flavor and had a refreshing taste. The chocolate pastry had various fillings inside.

A bakery located about a 1-minute walk from Ikejiri-Ohashi Station (Keio Inokashira Line). It is a "hidden gem" bakery on the main street in front of the station, with no sign, so only those in the know are familiar with it. It is very popular, with long lines on weekend mornings. The Tabelog rating is 3.56 (as of January 2023). Cash payment only, no credit cards or electronic money accepted. The bread here is delicious and highly recommended. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality of the bread is excellent, so satisfaction is guaranteed. The Gâteau Breton Marron for 730 yen is a must-buy for me every time. It is simply delicious with a generous amount of chestnuts. The Baguette for 330 yen has a strong bake, which I personally like. Good value for money with a mild saltiness. The Croissant for 340 yen has a beautiful layered shape and a crispy texture. It is larger than the standard croissants sold in Japanese bakeries. The Cream Croissant for 630 yen has a custard cream filling with a mild sweetness. It is a bit on the pricier side, and it didn't quite hit the mark for me this time. I end up spending over 2000 yen on bread each time, sometimes exceeding 3000 yen. Despite that, it is a lovely bakery that I feel compelled to visit regularly.

Second time visiting. I was able to enter the store around midnight at the end of the year without waiting in line. The Danish pastries and croque madame were as delicious as ever. They must really care about the dough and the fruits they use. We shared a fruit Danish pastry and enjoyed all of them. The persimmon Danish pastry was a bit disappointing, maybe because it's not the season anymore?
