I visited around 11:45 on Saturday. This was my second stop after Tamura Pan. They said they start preparing from 3 o'clock. There were many different types of bread neatly lined up, and I forgot to take a picture. The natural yeast bread was delicious. And everything was tasty. I tried two types of croissants, white bread, white bread with cheese, chestnut paste, and rusk (shared with a friend). The prices were very reasonable, and I wanted to try everything. I ended up eating a lot of bread for a while, but I want to go back again.

After leaving the restaurant for lunch and on the way home, I came across this bakery that is particular about using natural yeast. It opened in July 2009. The shop is quietly standing in a corner of the Botan-cho shopping street. The interior of the shop is not very spacious, but they offer a wide variety of bread. There are more sweet breads than savory ones. The prices are reasonable considering they use natural yeast. I purchased the following items: - Fromage (216 yen): Cheese similar to butter on top with a crispy texture. - Baked sandwich (216 yen): A firm dough filled with vegetables, ham, and other fillings. - Cranberry cream cheese (216 yen): Rich cheese with a hint of sweetness from the baked raisins. - White bread cheese (151 yen): Soft and chewy dough with mild cheese inside. - Croissant (194 yen): A popular item with a crispy texture, buttery flavor, and subtle sweetness. Overall, the breads may not be flashy, but they seem moist and have a simple and nostalgic taste. It felt like they put effort into fermenting and aging the dough for a long time. It was a delightful meal.

Visited on a rainy Saturday in July after 12 pm. There was no shortage of items, so it was a good time to choose. I purchased a croissant, curry bread, and anko Danish. I don't remember the individual prices, but the total was 604 yen (including tax). The croissant had a crispy texture like a twisted stick-shaped Danish. It didn't feel light or fluffy, more like a cheese-like flavor. It reminded me of cheese-filled spring rolls. It worked well as a meal bread. The curry bread seemed more like baked in a pot rather than deep-fried. It had a firm keema curry filling with a hint of spices. It wasn't my favorite curry bread, but it was decent. The anko Danish was really delicious. It had a chewy texture similar to croissants from other shops, not like this shop's croissant. I couldn't quite figure it out, but I really liked it. I wish I could have reheated it. This bakery produces high-quality bread with unique flavors, reminiscent of Maruju. It was delicious.

I had an anpan and a raisin cream cheese danish. Both were delicious and filled generously with red bean paste and cream cheese. I felt like I hit the jackpot compared to my previous visit. The prices were also very reasonable. It was so tasty! I realized that the preference for bread varies depending on the type you buy.

I finally visited the shop I was curious about. It doesn't get too crowded, but it seems to be popular locally. The shop is very small, but they have a wide variety of bread. I bought a croissant and a cream puff. They are simply delicious. Cash only.

I've been curious about this place for a while, and when I happened to pass by and saw it open, I decided to go in. "Takatama Komugi" has such a wonderful bakery smell. Everything looked delicious, and indeed, everything was delicious. I will definitely go back to buy more. I enjoyed the food. Thank you for the meal.

This bakery has a traditional atmosphere and offers affordable bread. The main attraction is their bagels, which are more fluffy than chewy, giving them more of a bread-like texture than a typical bagel. It was slightly different from my personal preference.

When it comes to bread, the main ingredient is undoubtedly wheat flour, and our shop's name is definitely derived from that wheat. About two weeks ago, there was a featured article in the Sunday edition of the Nikkei newspaper titled "Asian Wheat Risk Growing." According to the article, wheat consumption in Asia is increasing, narrowing the gap with rice consumption. Furthermore, many Asian countries rely heavily on wheat imports, with countries like Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Japan having import dependency rates exceeding 90%. Surprisingly, even neighboring countries like South Korea import a significant amount of wheat from countries like Ukraine and Russia. This trend could potentially impact the availability and cost of wheat-based products like bread in the future. On this particular day, I had lunch in Kiba (@ Tandoor Bar Kamalpur Kiba store) and decided to explore bakeries in the area. I visited a bakery located about 500-600 meters from Kiba towards Monzen-Nakacho. This bakery, which opened in July 2009, prides itself on using 100% natural yeast for fermenting and baking all their bread. The bakery is situated along Kotohiradori Street, midway between Kiba and Monzen-Nakacho, near the Botan 3-chome intersection. The cozy interior features three shelves displaying around 40 different types of bread, with prices mostly around 200 yen per piece. I purchased a Curry Bread for 194 yen and an Anpan for 216 yen, totaling 410 yen. These items were reasonably priced and seemed to offer a step up in quality compared to typical casual bakeries in the area. I enjoyed the bread the next morning for breakfast. The Curry Bread was heated in the microwave for 20 seconds and then baked in a 600W oven for 4 minutes. The trend of baked curry bread, as opposed to the traditional fried version, has gained popularity over the years for being healthier and less greasy. The bakery's version had a soft, fruity dough due to the natural yeast fermentation. Overall, it was a delightful and reasonably priced bakery find, offering a unique twist on classic bread items.

Visited a family bakery to buy some bread after a long time. Instead of trays, you take the bread in a basket, which adds a nice touch. The ingredients are written on the price tags, making it easy to choose. Baked curry bread @194, Corn mayonnaise @216, Cranberry and cream cheese @216, Mini coppe (one bag) @150, Garlic rusk @183. Cash only payment. A plastic bag costs only 1 yen. I will have them for breakfast at home. The curry bread is for my husband. The curry roux has a hint of sweetness due to the banana. The corn mayonnaise is for my son, who loved the corn pizza at a certain restaurant. The soft and simple dough doesn't feel greasy, allowing the mayo and corn flavors to shine. The mini coppe is for my daughter. It's fluffy and light due to the sesame oil used. It may be a bit dry, but the texture is good, and my daughter finished it quickly. I should have bought the sandwich bread made from the same ingredients. The cranberry and cream cheese is my favorite. A small palm-sized body filled with cranberries, walnuts, and cream cheese. When warmed in a toaster, it becomes crispy, chewy, and creamy. The mix of cream cheese is irresistible. A perfect everyday bakery with a warm atmosphere in the old town.

I heard from a colleague that this place is delicious, so I bought 3 items for lunch around 12 pm on a weekday. The bakery was small and crowded with 2-3 people inside, but there seemed to be a bakery workshop behind the counter where 2-3 people were working. Customers were coming in constantly, but there wasn't a long line. I'm not very knowledgeable about bread, but the bread had a solid texture that made me feel like I was eating real bread, unlike other bakeries. The melon pan wasn't too sweet and had a chewy texture, which was delicious. They only accepted cash for payment.

I stopped by when I was near Monzen-Nakacho. The location is in a residential area southeast of Tokyo Metro Monzen-Nakacho Station. The shop has a small, community-focused bakery atmosphere. I bought a croissant. The croissant had a crispy surface and a firm interior, with a moderate butter taste and a prominent wheat flavor. It had a unique taste but was delicious. This time I only had the croissant, but next time I would like to try other breads.

This is a quaint and unpretentious bakery in the shopping street of Monzen-Nakacho, Koto-ku that uses natural yeast. They offer moist croissants, Cranberry Noa with a generous amount of cranberries in a tangy bread dough, and a melon bread that is not too soft like typical melon bread. Thank you for the delicious meal.

This is Monzen-Nakacho Station! It's a nice shopping street with an arcade. There was a rice cracker shop, but I couldn't decide whether to buy sugar-coated rice crackers, as I thought it would be endless if I started buying sweets. I crossed the river to a bakery. There were small white breads lined up. It was lovely to carry the chosen bread in a bamboo basket. The bread I bought and my impressions are as follows. The tuna France was softer than I expected! It had tuna, onions, and cherry tomatoes. Delicious. The sesame red bean bread is a round bread covered in black sesame seeds. It has walnuts in the dough and red bean paste. The walnuts are stronger than the sesame. It was a bit different from what I wanted. The croissant was crispy and had a cheese-like flavor. Croissant 194 yen, sesame red bean bread 205 yen, tuna France 216 yen. Total payment amount 615 yen. There were various small breads, all of them using natural yeast, which made them even more delicious. However, I didn't find my favorite one. I liked the shop's unpretentious atmosphere. Thank you for the meal.

On a holiday evening. In the past, there were not many varieties unless you went early, but this day there was a wide variety! I chose a chocolate croissant, walnut bread, and cranberry hard bread. It was nice to see that the prices were reasonable for a bakery in the area where expensive bakeries are increasing. However, I always find it amusing that one of the staff members is very unfriendly (lol). The croissant was disappointing as it lacked the usual flakiness. The walnut bread and hard bread had a strong wheat flavor and were generously filled, which made them delicious! There seems to be variation in the quality of the bread depending on what you choose.

When driving past the store, I can't help but stop and go in. They have small pastries and deli sandwiches that are delightful. The garlic rusk I bought for the first time was super hard like garlic toast, perfect for a snack. It keeps well too, so I'll definitely buy it again when I pass by.

The selection is limited but all choices are delicious. Personally, I think the red bean bun is the best. During cherry blossom season, buying bread here, getting coffee from the nearby Seven Eleven, and relaxing on a bench along the promenade by the Ookayokawa River is so refreshing. There are about twice as many cherry blossom trees here compared to the Meguro River, it's truly impressive.

Near Kiba Park, I had lunch and still had about an hour before my afternoon tennis practice, so I decided to stop by a nearby bakery to buy some bread for breakfast. The bakery is located on the corner of a intersection and has a simple storefront that you might not notice if you just pass by. It's about a 10-minute walk from Monzen-Nakacho Station or Kiba Station. Each bread item has the list of ingredients used written on the price tag, showing the sincerity and dedication of the owner. The Onion Danish costs 216 yen and is a savory bread made with onions, cheese, parsley, and pepper. The sweetness of the onions stands out and the Danish pastry is crispy without feeling greasy. The Baked Sandwich also costs 216 yen and is made with bacon, onions, and shimeji mushrooms seasoned with mayonnaise. The ingredients are similar to those used in gratin, with a simple salt and pepper seasoning. When reheated, the bread becomes crispy and fragrant.
