Today, I visited a bakery to enjoy a delicious cake. The owner trained in the chocolate capital of Belgium, so I had high expectations. I decided to get the most popular truffle cake to go. The staff kindly reminded me to handle it carefully as I carried it home. The cake came in a beautiful box with special instructions, showing the attention to detail. The truffle cake was moist and had a fluffy texture. The truffle chocolate was decadent and sweet. The harmony between the whipped cream and milk chocolate was perfect. The bottom of the cake had a layer of chocolate and sponge, making it easy to eat. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

"Sweets Studio Bernote" visited for the first time. I found it by chance and decided to stop by. The chef here seems to have worked in Belgium for many years, so the cakes and chocolates were excellent. This time, I bought an apricot pie and premium chocolate. The apricot had a nice acidity with natural sweetness, and it paired perfectly with the pie! The premium chocolate was moist and not too heavy, so it was enjoyable even in the summer. I only stopped by casually, so this is a brief review haha. I saw other sweets that caught my eye, so I would like to visit again. Thank you for the delicious treats!"

I went on a Sunday evening, so most of the items were sold out. I had to settle for what was left, so please understand that this review is based on that. The adult haskap cake had a fake taste and scent that I didn't quite like, and even the most popular truffle cake didn't meet my expectations in terms of taste. I tried a few other items as well, but with other options available in the city, I didn't feel the need to specifically choose this place. I'm sorry.

I visited for the first time to buy a cake for guests. The appearance is cute and the taste is very delicious! I bought one based on its cute appearance without imagining the taste, but it was very delicious with meringue as the base!

At a popular shop in Asakusa, one of the signature items, waffles, is often sold out. However, on this day, I was able to get both plain and chocolate waffles. They were reheated for us. The smell of butter was really nice.

On this day, I visited a patisserie in Asakusa where I had been wanting to go for a long time. The place is called "Sweets Studio Bernot" and the chef, Mr. Ueno, had been working as a patissier and chocolatier in Belgium for 18 years. After returning to Japan, he worked as an executive chef at Ginza Wako before opening his own patisserie. The location is in a corner of Senzoku Street in the backstreets of Asakusa. I visited on a weekend afternoon and there was only one petit gateau left. If you have a specific item in mind, I recommend visiting early.
The selection includes mainly chocolate-based desserts, such as Mont Blanc and fruit-based pastries, tarts, and more. I assumed that the offerings would be mostly chocolate-based, but there is actually a wide variety. I purchased the following four items:
- EX Fino (580 yen) - 3.9 stars
A combination of two types of chocolate, one dark and one milk. While other petit gateaux had surprisingly mild chocolate flavors, this one was rich and intense. The dark chocolate glaze combined with the milk chocolate inside creates a delicious balance of cocoa and sweetness.
- Truffe Cake (530 yen) - 3.7 stars
The most popular petit gateau, a chocolate sponge cake with vanilla cream. The chocolate flavor is relatively mild, with a well-balanced combination of vanilla and chocolate.
- Merveilleux (490 yen) - 3.8 stars
A Belgian classic, Merveilleux, made with meringue, cream, and chocolate. The meringue is sweet with a rich cream, and while there is chocolate, it is not overpowering.
- Dan G A La Otter (630 yen) - 3.7 stars
A combination of praline and chocolate, with a crunchy praline texture in rich chocolate. The chocolate is not too sweet, allowing the cocoa flavor to shine.
- Crostata Apricot (490 yen)
An apricot tart with a pistachio crust. The tartness of the apricot combines with the pistachio flavor in the crust.
I had high expectations due to the chef's experience in Belgium, but I found the chocolate flavors to be surprisingly mild. Perhaps they are targeting a family audience. Personally, I prefer petit gateaux with a stronger cocoa flavor. Thank you for the meal.

The cake wrapped by the kind landlady and the older sister of the new employee maintained its beautiful form and deliciously entered my stomach. It has a quite adult feel, like sweets for adults. There is also a wide variety of baked goods, and they are all delicious. It seems to be a popular local shop.

Merveilleux - 490 yen
Crostarta Poire - 490 yen
It was my first time visiting this chocolate shop. I was thinking of getting a chocolate cake, but ended up choosing these two. Merveilleux is a cake with a generous amount of light cream and crispy meringue with shaved chocolate on the outside. It was delicious with its fluffy and crispy texture. Crostarta Poire is a pear tart with plenty of pear slices and pistachio cream inside. The tart crust was also tasty. I shared them with my husband and it turned into a luxurious dessert time after our meal. It was a delightful treat. Next time, I would like to try their Truffe chocolate cake.

Next to "Takematsu Chicken Meat Shop" is a fancy sweets shop that caught the attention of my wife. There were many Belgian chocolate confections inside, with the Belgian flag fluttering. It was difficult to choose from all the cakes available. I had the Special Pineapple Cross Tart Ananas for 460 yen, my wife had the Grape Tart for 680 yen, and my son had the popular Truffe Cake for 530 yen. I enjoyed the pineapple cake, with its perfect combination of baked pineapple and tart crust. My wife's grape cake was a sure bet with Shine Muscat grapes. My son's Truffe Cake had a rich, adult flavor. This sweets shop behind Asakusa Kannon is said to have appeared on "Job Tune." Thank you for the delicious treats.

I stopped by the cake shop Kakuman Asakusa that I had checked out in Asakusa after having lunch. I looked at the Merveilleux and was surprised by what I received. I ordered something with meringue, which I don't like... It was a sandwich of cream with a slice of melon on top. It was a cake that left only sweetness in my mouth, with a very Showa era taste. I think I chose it because it was popular, maybe 2nd or 3rd on the list. It was a bit pricey at 490 yen. I also had the Tarapoto for 590 yen, a rich chocolate cake that wasn't too heavy. I enjoyed it with wine after the meal. The Cross Tart Apricot for 490 yen had a combination of apricot and pistachio. I really liked the sweet and sour apricot flavor, balanced with a hint of pistachio. The Baba for 570 yen was the main reason I visited. It had a moist brioche with custard at the bottom, a bit of custard and whipped cream in the center, and rum raisins scattered throughout. It was delicious, especially when you could add more rum with a syringe. It was a Baba worth seeking out. It was a shame that they didn't accept credit cards or electronic money.

On the way back from Asakusa, I discovered a lovely cake shop and couldn't resist the temptation to buy some cakes. The chef seems to have experience working at the Brussels main store of "Vitameal", so I had high expectations. I purchased the adult cassis, Merveilleux, pistachio, and strawberry panna cotta cakes. They were all delicious! They also have a variety of baked goods, which I would like to try next time.

[Pistachio Chocolate] The texture of the pistachio is light but the different textures of the macaron, blueberry, and crispy chocolate are enjoyable. [Crostata] Chose pear over apple. The pistachio and almond cream on the tart crust are the key.

The owner of this shop trained in Belgium, so the quality of the chocolate is high. I recently started running on the road in front of this shop. They have chocolate bars with high-quality ingredients clearly labeled. The price of 800 yen is reasonable and they have a variety of options. This time, I tried the milk chocolate from Madagascar with 48% cacao, which had a gentle chocolatey flavor. The aroma lingered in my mouth and I could enjoy the chocolatey taste. I was very satisfied this time because I wanted a chocolate with a clear brand.

Even though it's a downtown area, there are plenty of elegant and unique cakes on display, not just the usual sweets. Suppressing the desire to try various samples, the one finally chosen was the "Adult Cassis" for 540 yen before tax. This cute mousse cake is topped with blueberries and cream. The purple cassis coating sparkles and is transparent, with cassis mousse and milk mousse in two layers inside. A brownie cake base supports the body. Each layer is not too sweet, with a hint of berry acidity, making it truly an adult flavor. The Tarapoto made with Peruvian rich chocolate seems to be the most popular, so let's try that next time!

I had some errands around Asakusa and wanted to have some bread for lunch, so I searched and found this shop. However, there was no sign of bread being sold. I ended up buying two cakes instead. Tarapoto for 540 yen (excluding tax) and Mont Blanc for 540 yen (excluding tax). Tarapoto is the most popular, made with 82% Peruvian cocoa. It was described as a powerful bitter chocolate cake with the aroma of Pisco. The chocolate was rich, but the cocoa aroma was weak. I recently had a very rich chocolate cake at Caravanson in Iidabashi, so I felt a bit unsatisfied. I'm sorry, it's not good to compare, right? Mont Blanc was a special blend of Ehime's Nakayama chestnuts and Ardèche chestnuts from France. The chestnut aroma was weak, the chantilly was rich, and the buttery aroma of the financier base was good. However, the raspberry sauce aroma was too strong.

I was surprised to find such a charming restaurant in this area. The desserts we ordered were the Apricot Cheesecake (pictured), which had a beautiful contrast of yellow-green cream (I thought it was pistachio) and delicious chocolate, and the Melon Shortcake (for my husband). We also got Guava and Berry Jellies which are still frozen. The shop has a lovely interior and a vibrant atmosphere. I love this area, and I regret not discovering this place sooner.

It's a special cake shop that I always visit and my favorite place to go. I always end up buying the tart with lots of apples on top, coconut sablé, and lemon sablé. I never get tired of eating them, and even though I don't like sweet things much, I end up eating them all at once.

Today is White Day, so I decided to buy a cake for my wife. I visited Belle Note for the first time, even though I pass by it every day. It was around 7 pm, but they were still open. Luckily, they had sold out of many items, but I managed to get the "Merveilleux" (450 yen) and "Talapoto" (540 yen). I made some tea to enjoy with them after dinner. The Merveilleux had a crispy meringue inside and a milky cream, similar to freshly squeezed milk soft serve ice cream. It was quite big, so it's better to share it. The Talapoto was a rich chocolate cake. It's best enjoyed slowly with tea. The cakes were delicious, but they can feel a bit heavy, so it's better to share them. They might seem a bit monotonous, so it's nice to buy a variety and enjoy them with others. Enjoy♫

I visited the shop around 3 pm on a weekday. There was one customer before me and four groups of five customers after me. It's such a popular place to have so many customers in a short amount of time. I bought the Fraisier Crostata Pomme Merveilleux. I chose the Fraisier. I'm not a big fan of shortcake, but I love Fraisier. Unlike shortcake, it has a rich cream made of mousse instead of whipped cream, which pairs perfectly with the tartness of the strawberries. The Fraisier here was incredibly delicious. It was exactly to my taste. I would love to eat it every day. Every cake here is so good that there are no disappointments, it's an amazing cake shop. I often buy their cakes as gifts, and everyone becomes a fan of their cakes because they are so delicious.

Visited on February 14th. I recently started driving on this road. I heard that this shop has high-quality chocolates with a witch's touch. I was planning to go buy some soon, but couldn't find the time to stop by. Ate dinner nearby and decided to walk over since it's close. There's a sign in front of the shop saying that cakes are only available with reservations. Oh, it's Valentine's Day today. I wanted some chocolate, so it's perfect timing. They have chocolate bars with the origin clearly stated. The 800 yen price is reasonable. There are different types to choose from. I asked the staff for recommendations. I hesitated but ended up getting the Milk Madagascar 48% chocolate, which has a gentle chocolate flavor. The aroma lingers in your mouth and you can enjoy the chocolate taste. I also wanted to try the orange chocolate or the soft orange with bitter chocolate coating. The orange chocolate is delicious. The customer service is efficient. There are differences in how they escort you to the door.
