On this day, my workplace was closed for renovations, so we had a staff drinking party in the evening. After finishing up tasks like removing products, we left early and decided to go to a pre-drinking spot before the party. We went to "Murasaki" which opens early. It had been a long time since I last visited Murasaki, maybe since my college days. It was around 3:30 pm when we arrived, and since it was a weekday, there were no other customers. Perhaps because it's a franchise store, it didn't have the typical chain store feel and was more like a cozy individual izakaya. Just like Yoro no Taki, Murasaki also seems to have its own unique charm. I didn't have time to take notes on the dish names and prices for the blog, so please understand that the photos are just for reference. The dishes were all good, served promptly, and the prices were reasonable. The fact that it opens early makes it very convenient. If I had the chance, I would definitely visit again, maybe even by myself.

On this day when I worked on my day off, I took a walk around Higashi-Murayama Station to relax after a long day. The restaurant I was looking for was closed, so I ended up going to this place on the second floor of a building near the station. I realized that I haven't seen Murasaki recently, so I checked their website and found out that they only have two stores in the Tama area, in Higashiyamato and here. Since they mainly operate in the Tama area, it's no wonder I haven't seen them around. When I entered the restaurant and said I was dining alone, I was seated at a table for four, which made me feel a bit embarrassed. The appetizer cost 300 yen and was a vegetable stew. I first ordered a Hoppy for 400 yen and horse sashimi for 780 yen, as I was in the mood for horse sashimi. I added a side dish of egg and bacon for 280 yen. It was a dish with two eggs and cabbage, very filling. After that, they served me a complimentary miso soup, which increased my liking for the place. For my last dish, I chose the local specialty of Higashi-Murayama, which was black yakisoba for 480 yen. It was my first time trying it, and I was impressed by the spicy black sauce.

I used to frequent this place when it was open late at night. The janitor's character was the best.

The amount used at the welcome party was large and very satisfying.

University reputation and drinking in Higashimurayama. Just a 1-minute walk from the station. We are located on the 2nd floor. Let's toast with a seat and draft beer! We switched to Jinro later on. Cost performance is a priority. I love the rare delicacy of hoya salted fish, but people around me looked puzzled. The skewers seemed to have some red parts that weren't cooked thoroughly, but they were delicious. I also like pickled celery! That celery flavor is the best! Miso soup came out as a kind of charge, I guess. I was happy with the appetizers too! Thank you for the meal.
