It's a very delicious restaurant with a great atmosphere and service. The tteokbokki is spicy, so if you don't like spicy food, I recommend ordering the cheese tteokbokki instead. We wanted to do the samgyeopsal all-you-can-eat option, but it's only available on weekends, so we ordered two servings instead. The owner kindly cooks it for you. The makgeolli was recommended and it was delicious and easy to drink, but be careful because it can make you tipsy! I ended up changing to a highball. The sauce for the tteokbokki was amazing, and when I mentioned I wanted to take some home, the owner kindly packed some for me, even though she said it was the first time someone asked for that. The owner is very kind. If you're interested in a delicious restaurant oasis, I recommend checking it out!

I visited the restaurant around 12 o'clock on a weekday and was seated immediately. When I opened the screen door, it felt like entering a different dimension - a cozy, nostalgic place reminiscent of a Showa-era home. It seemed like a regular house on the first floor, with about four 4-person tables. An elderly woman was handling both cooking and serving. I ordered the Kamjatang for 980 yen and Yukgaejang for 880 yen. At the table next to me, women were enjoying Samgyeopsal and Kimchi pancakes, which looked delicious. After waiting for 20, 30, 40 minutes... I started to wonder when my food would arrive. Finally, it was served. The Kamjatang looked impressive with bones sticking out, but there wasn't much meat. However, the soup was delicious! The Yukgaejang also looked appetizing. I ordered a pear juice for 100 yen as a lunch drink, which was served in a large glass and tasted great. The total bill was 1090 yen for the Kamjatang and drink, and 990 yen for the Yukgaejang and drink. I paid without questioning the calculation. The service was lacking in friendliness, the wait was long, and hygiene might be a concern for some. But I would like to try other dishes in the future. Planning to revisit soon!笑

A recommended Korean restaurant by a friend. Very affordable. When I ordered the Samgyupsal, it came with lettuce and spicy salad. They cook everything up until right before you eat, so it's convenient. The potato pancake was chewy and delicious! Thank you for the meal♪

This is a Korean home cooking restaurant located about a 5-minute walk from Nishikasai Station. The interior of the restaurant has a compact layout and an old-fashioned dining room atmosphere rather than a traditional dining room atmosphere. I ordered the lunch menu's yakiniku set meal (¥880), which was ready in about 15 minutes. It included a delicious dressing on shredded cabbage, a combination of yakiniku and rice, wakame soup, and three side dishes. The yakiniku had a light flavor but was tasty, with onions and sesame adding a nice touch. I didn't know the exact contents of the side dishes, but they were delicious. Rice refills seemed to be free, but the yakiniku portion was generous, so I didn't need any more. The restaurant has limited seating, and even before noon, it was already full, indicating its popularity.

I revisited a Korean restaurant in a back alley near Edogawa Ward Baseball Field in October 2022, opting for an early lunch to avoid crowds. I ordered the "Sundubu Jjigae" for 680 yen with less rice. The hot stone pot arrived with the Sundubu Jjigae, which was not as spicy as it looked and had a refreshing taste. I mixed the rice into the stew to make Sundubu Jjigae Kuppa. The three side dishes were also delicious, making it a satisfying lunch. Thank you for the meal. Sundubu Jjigae was delicious ♫

During a revisit to a nearby dry cleaning store in June 2022, I visited this Korean restaurant tucked away in an alley for an early lunch to avoid crowds. Despite the scorching heat, I ordered the "Bibim Naengmyeon" for 880 yen including tax. Topped with half-boiled egg, mini tomatoes, char siu, and sliced daikon, the Bibim Naengmyeon was generously filled with white hair onions, cucumbers, lettuce, and other vegetables. The noodles had a smooth and chewy texture, and the spicy sauce coated them well along with the vegetables. I also enjoyed three side dishes like Moyashi Namul, making it a satisfying lunch. When I said "Omoni ni masissayo," I was asked if I was a resident.

I revisited a Korean restaurant in the alley near the "My Basket" store in September 2021. I visited for an early lunch to avoid crowds. I ordered the "Sundubu Jjigae" for 580 yen before tax, with less rice. The hot stone pot dish came with plenty of tofu, clams, enoki mushrooms, leeks, onions, zucchini, and a raw egg on top. The Sundubu Jjigae had a refreshing taste, different from its appearance. I enjoyed about half of it and then mixed the remaining rice into the stew to make a delicious "kuppa." The three side dishes of Korean cuisine were also delicious. It was a satisfying lunch. I thanked the Omoni (mother) for the delicious meal.

Bibim noodle set meal for 1000 yen. I sat down, and after ordering, the food was brought to me in about 10 minutes. Compared to the Korean dishes I usually eat, the portion was huge, and I briefly felt unsure if I could finish it, haha. In reality, it had plenty of vegetables and the amount of noodles was quite reasonable, so I was able to finish it. The spiciness was just right, and it had that authentic homemade taste. It was delicious. I hope to go back again.

In January 2021, I revisited a Korean restaurant in a back alley near my neighborhood while running errands. I visited for an early lunch to avoid crowds. I ordered the "Yukkejang" for 780 yen before tax, with less rice. The Yukkejang, prepared by the owner, contained beef, egg, bean sprouts, onions, shiitake mushrooms, green onions, and glass noodles, and wasn't as spicy as it looked. Towards the end of the meal, I mixed half of the remaining rice with the Yukkejang to make a delicious Yukkejang soup. It was a satisfying meal. I expressed my gratitude for the delicious food.

Today's lunch was at Oasis, a Korean restaurant in Nishi-Kasai. It had been about 4 months since my last visit. Since it was cold, I decided to have Sundubu jjigae. However, when I looked at the menu, I realized that I had never tried the "Yangnyeom chicken fried set meal" at this restaurant before, so I decided to order that instead. It was a bit of a mistake. The Yangnyeom chicken itself was delicious, but it took a long time to prepare because they had to fry it. The restaurant had the entrance wide open for COVID-19 precautions, so it was very cold inside with almost no heating. I spent quite a bit of time in the chilly environment and when I finally had the Yangnyeom chicken, I didn't feel warmed up at all. I should have just stuck with the Sundubu jjigae today. I hope that the situation with COVID-19 improves soon.

Today's visit to Katsushika - exploring noodle dishes. For lunch, I went to Oasis, a Korean restaurant in Nishi-Katsushika. It had been a month and a half since my last visit. Last time, I had the "pure tofu udon," but today I tried the "kalbi udon." It cost 740 yen. The udon came in a large stainless steel bowl, filled with lots of ingredients. There were about 5-6 pieces of kalbi. It also had plenty of vegetables like leeks, carrots, shiitake mushrooms, shimeji mushrooms, and enoki mushrooms. The soup was delicious, with a seafood broth flavor. I drank it all up. The udon itself was chewy and tasty. The restaurant may look a bit run-down, but everything here is delicious, affordable, and generously portioned. It's very popular among women. A reliable spot.

Weekend exploration of noodles in Kasai. Today, I visited Oasis, a Korean restaurant in Nishi-Kasai. It has been 2 years and 9 months since my last visit. Despite its simple appearance, this restaurant is popular among locals for its delicious and affordable food. I ordered the Pure Tofu Udon (680 yen). I have had pure tofu here before, but this time I tried it with udon noodles. I asked for it to be slightly spicy. The Pure Tofu Udon came in a large stainless steel bowl with three small side dishes. The udon was filled with tofu, egg, clams, onions, okra, and various other vegetables. The broth had a seafood flavor and was topped with a spicy red soup. Despite the large portion, it was quite satisfying to eat. The spiciness was just right. And all of this for only 680 yen, which is an incredible value. That's Oasis for you.

Everything is delicious here. The Tteokbokki is sweet and savory, unlike other places run by Japanese people that are just spicy. The miso flavor is so addictive. The Stir-Fried Vegetables and Pork with Gochujang also has the same delicious miso flavor that makes it impossible to stop eating, especially with the crispy vegetables. The Garlic Chive Dumplings are also delicious, with plenty of juicy meat inside the thin skin. I am quite picky about dumplings, but these ones are amazing. I definitely want to come back here when I'm in the area again. Their lunch deals also seem like a good value.

I went to a Korean restaurant to eat something really spicy and clear my mind. The restaurant, Oasis, had a homely atmosphere run by a Korean mother. I ordered my favorite Yukgaejang soup, asking for it to be extra spicy. The hot soup arrived in a bubbling pot, accompanied by side dishes like namul, stewed vegetables, and rolled omelette. I eagerly took a spoonful of the soup, feeling the heat and flavor burst in my mouth. The soup was filled with fernbrake, shiitake mushrooms, bean sprouts, carrots, beef, and even a cracked egg for added richness. The balance of spiciness and umami was just right, with the egg adding a creamy touch. After finishing the meal, I could feel the sweat trickling down my neck. I felt refreshed and clear-headed from the inside out. Thank you for the delicious meal, Omoni.

The storefront caught my eye, so I decided to try going without a reservation, but it was unexpectedly full. I tried again and luckily managed to get a table. The interior of the restaurant felt just like home. It was my second stop, and I ordered the samgyeopsal. The color of the meat was...hmm, maybe I had set my expectations too high, but it was disappointing.

Stone-grilled Bibimbap for 880 yen. Hmm, to be honest, it was kind of mediocre. It lacked both spiciness and flavor. I probably won't be ordering this again.

The Korean restaurant in Nishi-Kasai is always crowded. I went with a friend and we each ordered one serving of Sundubu Jjigae and Galbi Tang. The Sundubu Jjigae, served in a hot stone pot, was light and refreshing with a mild flavor. The Galbi Tang was also light and came with three side dishes. Drinks were only 100 yen. It was a very satisfying Korean lunch for under 1000 yen. It's a great Korean lunch spot to have in the neighborhood, not worth traveling far for, but definitely a nice find nearby!
