Established in the 35th year of the Meiji era, this shop was founded with the desire to provide a more affordable alternative to high-priced refined yokan. Made only with sweet potatoes, sugar, and salt, this yokan boasts a simple and natural flavor without any artificial coloring, preservatives, or flavorings. When enjoyed with Japanese tea, it brings a comforting feeling with just one bite. I purchased it at the Haneda Airport Terminal 2 branch as it does not keep well when bought at the Asakusa main store. Thank you for the delicious treat.

This is a nostalgic taste that my father always used to buy as a souvenir when he went on a business trip to Tokyo. It's a simple flavor with just sweet potatoes, and I enjoyed it after a long time. It goes well with Japanese tea, of course, but surprisingly, it also goes well with coffee.

I used to love buying sweet potato yokan at Haneda Airport whenever I visited. But since a shop opened in Sapporo, I stopped buying it because I could get it anytime. However, I ended up buying it again at Haneda Airport after many years. The price had gone up, but that's understandable. However, when I tried it, it was different - dry, hard, not as sweet, and not as smooth as before. My family agreed with me. It was a huge disappointment. I don't think it would taste bad to someone trying it for the first time, but knowing how delicious it used to be, I probably won't buy it again.

I visited this Japanese sweets shop at Haneda Airport on a regular day. I bought a pack of sweet potato yokan (5 pieces). I love it so much that whenever I go to Tokyo, I always make sure to buy some from Funa Wa. It was incredibly delicious and I was very satisfied. Thank you for the meal!

Purchased at Haneda Airport Terminal 1. The sweet potato yokan is exactly like sweet potato. Made with 100% sweet potato, it is sweet and delicious. The anko dama is also unique and exciting to look at. The taste is gentle and enjoyable. The matcha and mandarin orange flavors are distinctive. They are different but have a refreshing sweetness and are delicious.

I found Fune Wa at Haneda Airport, which I had been curious about for a while, so I bought it as a souvenir for my family. Although I bought it as a souvenir, I also ate some myself. The sweet potato yokan was exactly like sweet potato. It wasn't moist, a little dry. The anko balls had different flavors and all of them were delicious.

I bought these traditional sweet treats as a souvenir when I visited my parents' house, and we enjoyed them together. The sweet potato yokan was subtly sweet and had an elegant flavor. I ate it as is, but I heard it's also delicious when heated, so I want to try that at home. The anko dama, with its colorful appearance, seemed like it would be too sweet to eat on its own, but it was actually enjoyable and even my parents, who have a sweet tooth, liked it.

This month, I bought souvenirs at Haneda Airport and returned to Osaka. The cold sweet potato yokan is firm and has a cold baked sweet potato texture. It is mildly sweet and delicious! When slightly warmed in the microwave, the baked sweet potato flavor intensifies even more! It's like a Japanese-style sweet potato. It's completely different from the texture of yokan. This has an elegant sweetness and is delicious. I'll definitely buy it again as a souvenir. Thank you for the meal~

I visited the departure lobby inside Haneda Airport in the morning on a regular day. I bought a box of 6 pieces for 648 yen including tax as a souvenir, but it needed to be refrigerated! (◎_◎;) So, I had it for lunch instead (*´Д`*). The taste was just like regular sweet potato yokan. There were instructions on how to eat it, such as freezing it or frying it in a pan with butter or putting it in the oven to give it a crispy texture, so maybe that way it would be more delicious. I will try it when I give it as a souvenir. Thank you for the meal~(^_^)

Wow! I've always wanted to try Shofuan's sweets, and I can't believe I can buy them at the airport! This famous traditional Japanese confectionery shop is known for their anko-dama and imo-yokan. I think they also have a shop in Asakusa, but I was worried about the shelf life, so being able to buy them at the airport at the last minute is truly appreciated. The imo-yokan is packed with the flavor of sweet potatoes, almost like a solidified potato. The sweetness is more subtle than I expected, really bringing out the flavor of the sweet potatoes. It's like a Japanese-style sweet potato pie. I also tried eating it normally, but when I baked it with butter, it tasted like sinful butter-baked sweet potatoes (laughs). I would definitely buy some as souvenirs next time I visit. Thank you for the delicious meal!

When it comes to sweet potato yokan, the famous shop Funa wa is well-known. I recently purchased it again. It's a long-selling product, a simple sweet potato yokan that brings out the flavor of the sweet potato. It's delicious enough that you won't get tired of it even if you eat a lot. After finishing it, I saw on TV that another shop freezes baked sweet potatoes and eats them like ice cream. Even in the product information here, there is a description of freezing and eating it. I became interested after eating it, so I might try it next time.

The blog post is about the author's younger sister buying souvenirs at Haneda Airport. The author recommended some souvenirs for their mother-in-law, and their sister ended up buying some for the author as well. They shared the treats with their parents. The strawberry-flavored anko balls were not suitable for vegetarians due to the cochineal coloring, so they chose other flavors. The matcha and azuki bean treats were delicious.

This is a souvenir from my second daughter. I don't really like sweet things, but I love the "imo yokan" (sweet potato jelly) from here. Knowing this, my daughter always brings it back as a gift for me.
- An assortment of sweet bean paste balls and imo yokan.
- Imo yokan: Not too sweet and delicious. It's tasty on its own, but when fried with butter in a pan, it takes on a flavor similar to sweet potato, which is also delicious.
- Sweet bean paste balls: A variety of 6 different fillings, each offering a unique taste experience. My husband ended up eating them all. (^_^)
It's delicious when enjoyed after a long time. I must remember to buy some when I go to Tokyo in March.

Since I saw it in an article about Tokyo souvenirs, I had been thinking of buying this traditional Japanese confectionery when I visited Tokyo. Fuwa is famous for its sweet potato yokan, but the appearance and glossy texture of these anko balls intrigued me. I wanted to see it up close and taste it! In a state of extreme exhaustion while transferring from Haneda Airport to Itami Airport, I mustered up the energy to visit the confectionery section. The colorful assortment and shiny anko balls caught my eye. I carefully packed the Fuwa bag in my full hand luggage and brought it back to Kansai. There are a total of 6 flavors in a pack of 9: green bean, matcha, mandarin orange, red bean, coffee, and strawberry mandarin orange and coffee have a very subtle flavor. I think I like the strawberry the best. The anko balls are wrapped in glossy agar, which looks very refreshing. The mild sweetness makes it easy to eat, and the cute and gentle appearance makes it enjoyable to look at. Perfect for gifts. [Second time] Anko balls available in Kansai. I bought them from Haneda Airport on my first try, but I happened to find them regularly sold at Hankyu Umeda Store in Osaka. [Scheduled delivery date] Every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. What! They sell it that often in Kansai? I'm so happy that it's easily accessible in Kansai.
