This is a fried potato stand located next to the poolside at Yomiuriland. It is called "Ras" and has a red sign that says so. Ras is a Dutch brand of fried potatoes made by mixing potato flour with water and frying it. It is different from frozen fried potatoes as it can be stored at room temperature and has a unique texture and appearance. I purchased the Ras Super Long Potato for 500 yen with a cheese topping for 100 yen, and also got the Pop Chicken for 400 yen. The Pop Chicken was served quickly as it was pre-made, while the Super Long Potato took some time to fry and was served hot. The Super Long Potato was indeed very long and had a chewy texture. The taste was more artificial and not very potato-like, with the cheese topping also tasting cheap and like cheese sauce. The Pop Chicken consisted of bite-sized fried chicken pieces with a thick and crispy coating. Although the coating was oily due to its thickness, the seasoning was not spicy, making it enjoyable for children. Personally, I think the taste is below that of convenience store fried foods, but it may be suitable for a snack at a tourist spot. The portions were decent, but the prices were a bit high. Overall, it was okay.
