Even though it's Mexican cuisine, everything has a gentle taste. I also bought some souvenirs for my kids and, of course, they all enjoyed it. The jalapeno cheese fritters, nachos, taquitos, and taco box were enough for my kids. The jalapeno is spicy but because of the cheese, it's not too overwhelming. The taquitos are asparagus wrapped in bacon and corn tortilla, and they are quite filling. Despite eating Mexican food, I didn't experience any heartburn afterwards. I also tried the mate tea. The restaurant is always crowded, and the reason is clear - the food is delicious. Everyone loves good food. The staff is also nice. Ordering is easy with the online system. The location is about a 5-6 minute walk south of Hanakoganei Station along Suzuki Kaido. I started with the Mexican shrimp salad, which had a dressing similar to a Cobb salad with a spicy kick from chili peppers. The avocado lime soup, only available in the restaurant, was a refreshing and exotic flavor with chicken broth and lime. For the main dish, I ordered a 5-piece taco set and added an additional 4 pieces. The tacos were made with a variety of fillings such as chicken, pork, fish, beef, and beans, each with its own unique flavor. Among them, the tempura fish taco with Kodaira vegetables was exceptional! I believe the owner of the restaurant comes from a long line of traditional Japanese cuisine chefs. Today, we ordered the lunch menu which included a plate of 3 types of tostadas (1250 yen) and a family taco plate (1050 yen, with 2 types of daily tacos and a cheese quesadilla). First, we were served with a hibiscus (dried hibiscus flower) juice. You can choose from 8 different drinks as part of the set. The hibiscus juice had a beautiful color and tasted sweet and sour, very delicious. Next, we had Mexican tomato soup with unique spices. The main dish of 3 types of tostadas included chicken cooked in white wine, seafood with avocado, and minced pork. The plate also came with a salad, making it look very fancy. The crispy tacos made from corn flour were a bit messy to eat as the fillings tended to fall off the plate, but it was fun. The chicken had a nice texture, the seafood had succulent shrimp, and the minced pork paired well with onions. Everything was delicious. The salsa had a deep flavor with a hint of sweetness, perfect for enjoying different flavors with the tacos. If you want to try a variety of tacos, I recommend the Deluxe Plate (1800 yen). I felt like diving into the atmosphere of Mexico, so I visited Mercado, a place I haven't been to in a while. I love Mercado's corn tortillas so much! Of course, not just the tortillas, but the food is delicious too. There are two types of tortillas, flour tortillas and corn tortillas, and the popular one is the flour tortilla made from wheat. So finding a place that serves corn tortillas might be a bit difficult. Wheat tortillas are common and you can find them in places like Don***s, but corn tortillas are not as common. I discovered Mercado after the manager appeared on a TV show and showed his love for Mexico in a very enthusiastic way. I love people like that, so I went to try it out and as expected, the food was delicious and I got hooked. It's also great to pour plenty of fresh Mexican lime juice over the dishes! Today, I went for lunch for the first time and ordered the Deluxe Plate with an additional order of two Corn Tortillas for 100 yen each. The tortillas in the Deluxe Plate are fried flour tortillas, giving it a taco-like feel, so I definitely wanted the corn tortillas. I recommend the corn tortillas. The Deluxe Plate for lunch has a variety of dishes and is quite enjoyable. The Chilé de Chocolate that came out at the end was incredibly delicious! It's a sophisticated chocolate with hibiscus and chilé (chili) flavors. It's not spicy, right? You might think? They even brought out the so-called Tabasco from Mexico for me to add, but since I like to add a lot and eat it, I can't judge if it's not spicy. But I think it's not spicy (for reference, I can't eat spicy food). It was so delicious that I ended up taking it home as a takeaway! The dessert chocolate made by the wife, who has a good sense like the husband (the manager), is really delicious. Thank you for the meal.
