Maruichi Sakaba in Minato-ku, Tokyo is a cozy izakaya located near Daimon Station on the Toei Oedo Line and Asakusa Line. They open at 3pm, which is convenient. Smoking is allowed inside. The first floor is not very spacious, but there are over 100 seats on the second floor. We enjoyed a toast with highball and ordered seared mentaiko, horse sashimi, and mentaiko omelette, all of which were decently delicious. The omelette was served hot on a hot plate, which was nice. The motsu nabe can be ordered for two people and comes in a generous portion. The cabbage was particularly tasty. The downside is that there are very few staff members, so it can be hard to get their attention to place an order. Overall, it's a good value and tasty izakaya, but the lack of staff is a bit disappointing. Thank you for the meal.

Maruichi Sakaba, a pub located in Minato-ku, Tokyo, near Daimon Station on the Toei Oedo Line and Asakusa Line. Smoking is allowed and it offers good value for money. It is a popular casual pub where you can enjoy a quiet drink early in the evening, but it can get crowded later on, making it difficult to order as there are few staff members and the food may take a while to arrive. Cheers with a highball! The classic wing-tipped pan-fried dumplings are decently priced and tasty, starting from two servings. The Mega Highball is a 1-liter size. The sesame mackerel is not recommended, as one piece is enough. The Hakata skewers are delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Maruichi Sakaba is a budget-friendly izakaya located in Minato-ku, Tokyo. It is conveniently situated near Daimon Station on the Toei Oedo Line and Asakusa Line, just a short walk from Exit A2. The restaurant opens at 3 pm and allows smoking. The first floor is not very spacious, but the second floor has over 100 seats. They offer reasonably priced highballs and a variety of affordable and delicious dishes. I recommend trying the iron plate gyoza (serving for 2 people) which is served piping hot, but be cautious of potential bad breath afterwards. The mega-sized potato fries come in an enormous portion, so you may not have room for other dishes. Also, be aware that the Mega Highball comes in a 1-liter size, so be careful as the carbonation might escape when mixed with water. As the restaurant tends to get crowded, it's best to make a reservation in advance. Thank you for the meal.

Maruichi Sakaba in Minato-ku, Tokyo, near Daimon Station on the Toei Oedo Line and Asakusa Line, is a popular izakaya that opens early and offers good prices. Reservations are a must as it quickly fills up. Cheers with a highball! The menu items are all cheap and delicious. Be careful with the Mega Highball as it is dangerously large - after 3 glasses, you might get knocked out. However, due to its popularity, the service may be lacking as there are not enough staff to attend to all the customers. The manager is seen running up and down the stairs trying their best. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

On 22/12/18, I went to a restaurant alone for a drink while preparing for my daughter's entrance exam tour. My high school daughter had decided to become a college student. We hurriedly gathered in the Tokyo area for her preparation. We were struggling to find a good room to rent, which was a major concern. We only had 2 days left before we had to leave Tokyo. "There's a restaurant near our usual place that Dad would like," my wife and daughter, who have been to Tokyo multiple times this year, had told me about this place. We decided to have a light dinner there. We sat at the counter near the kitchen. I started with a glass of Hoppy to wet my throat. Cheers. I snacked on the cabbage appetizer while waiting for the simmered dish. When the simmered dish arrived, it had a surprisingly mild flavor. Wait, is this how motsu-ni from Kanto tastes? I checked the menu and realized that this place had a concept inspired by Kyushu Hakata. So, I ordered chicken skin skewers. Oh, and another glass of Hoppy, please. The chicken skin skewers were as tasty as they looked. The sweet and salty sauce paired well with the Hoppy. Feeling adventurous, I ordered two more skewers. Let's switch to Chu-Hi for the drinks. All the staff here were Chinese. Their conversations in their native language filled the kitchen. I'll leave it to your imagination regarding their mannerisms. There were also a couple of Chinese groups dining here. I finished my Chu-Hi quickly and left. I was a bit surprised at the bill when I paid. The menu prices were excluding tax...it was written in a small corner. It wasn't mentioned on the outside sign!! Well, that's a bit disappointing. Tonight's bill came to 2497 yen. If I get the chance, I'll visit again.

At Maruichi Sakaba, we went on a pub crawl on November 19, 2022. We drank Yama no Kami sake while snacking on cabbage with salt and kelp. The tokkuri was labeled Matsutake Ume Gokai, but it wasn't as big as the name implied. It was small enough to finish with just two pours. We also had grilled stingray fin, which was a bit soft but easy to eat. We tried the grilled chicken skin with sauce, which was cooked well and tasted even better than expected. Thank you for the delicious meal!

A izakaya right near Daimon Station. It looked quite cheap so I decided to give it a try. This time, I ordered the following:
- Mega Highball (580 yen) It's nice to be able to order a mega size for this price.
- Shirasu with lots of green onions (280 yen) A refreshing and excellent dish that can be enjoyed as a snack.
- Ume suisho (280 yen) Also cheap and good, but it seemed to have a lot of grated radish added to it.
- Tofu mentaiko cheese grill (480 yen) A hot iron plate with plenty of cheese, good volume and delicious.
Overall, the low prices are quite attractive. The food is also simply delicious. The cost performance near Daimon Station is not to be missed. However, there are some slightly disappointing aspects such as the speed of food service, but it depends on what you prioritize.

We had planned to go to Moriya for dinner on Saturday evening, but it was closed as they only serve lunch. We then tried another restaurant, but it was also closed. Feeling a bit lost, we stumbled upon this restaurant and found spacious seating on the second floor. We were able to enjoy a meal at a reasonable price. Thank you for the delicious meal.

After going to a yakiniku restaurant for our first stop, we felt like we hadn't had enough drinks and conversations, so we stumbled upon this place while walking! Since there weren't many other bars around, it was very crowded!! The snacks and drinks were really cheap!! The taste wasn't particularly amazing, but they were perfect for drinking snacks (^^) We especially enjoyed the menma and ended up ordering more! Everything went so well with the alcohol that we couldn't help but order more snacks and drinks! The restaurant had plenty of seating on both the first and second floors! It may not be ideal for a date, but it's a place where even two women can feel comfortable going in! The cozy atmosphere made drinking even more enjoyable and delicious, so I thought it would be a great place for a second stop! Thank you for the meal!!

Despite the ongoing pandemic and many businesses shortening their hours, this restaurant is working hard to stay open. The staff in the dining area were managing well with just two people despite being full. The restaurant was crowded, so it's best to order drinks and food in advance. Drinks, in particular, may take a while to be served if you order a large quantity. The cabbage and potato mountain series is quite filling on its own, so you can enjoy your meal without ordering too much.

In Hamamatsucho, there is a new restaurant called "Maruichi Sakaba" that opened just last November. They offer affordable Hakata cuisine. Today, I didn't try their motsunabe for a quick drink, so I look forward to trying it next time. They also serve yakitori, motsunabe, salad, and other dishes. It's a great place to stop by casually for a quick bite.

I was lured into the store by the cheerful voice of the staff. I ordered sesame mackerel and iron pot dumplings. Both were to my liking. When I had sesame mackerel in Fukuoka, it was soy sauce-based, but this one was mayo-based sesame sauce. It was also good. The dumplings were meaty and small but very satisfying to eat. Overall, it was delicious. The staff were also cheerful and attentive, which was nice.
