It seems like the restaurant mainly focuses on takeout, as I was the only one eating in the store on that day, while everyone else was getting their orders to go. When placing an order, you specify whether it's for dine-in or takeout, the size, quantity, spiciness level, and toppings, and pay in advance. I ordered the Large Liver Bowl for 500 yen, plus miso soup for 50 yen, totaling 550 yen. It was served in about 5 minutes, and they started cooking the liver as soon as the order was placed, so the preparation was quite quick. The price was cheap, so I chose the Large size, but the bowl was surprisingly big. The bowl was deep vertically, with plenty of rice, and the amount of liver, the main ingredient, was quite generous. The liver had a fresh and juicy texture, not the usual tough texture I'm used to, and it went well with the rice. I chose the level 5 spiciness, so the strong flavor combined with the rich seasoning made the rice disappear quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed the liver and rice, and it was a satisfying meal. Even though I ordered the Large size without much thought due to its low price, I ended up feeling very full, so I think a regular size would have been enough. Thank you for the meal, I will definitely come back again.

I arrived at Sunamachi Ginza, a little further down the road. The result of the Bakankenki Hachi meeting, which is equivalent to three black balls (not to be abbreviated), led me to "Payayoshi". It's rare to see a Japanese surname starting with "pa"! In my case, it would be "Panchichi"... Anyway, according to the renowned reviewer Natsu from Gunma, you can enjoy a dish very similar to the pure liver bowl featured in "The Lonely Gourmet" at this place for just one coin, which is cheaper than the real deal. The Pure Liver Bowl in regular size costs 450 yen, and I even got 50 yen back! The owner, who is into reggae music, skillfully cooks the chicken liver on the hot plate, creating a sweet and spicy flavor that is just right. Even though I'm not a big fan of liver, I found the rich and mellow taste of the liver, combined with the freshness of chopped green onions, to be a perfect match. The rice soaked in the sauce was also satisfying. LOVE & PEACE. I woke up because the sun rose, I slept because the sun set, I scratched my head because it was itchy, I ate because I was hungry, I came to Payayoshi to eat because the pure liver was so delicious.

There seems to be a hidden local gourmet dish in Koto Ward that has gained attention thanks to "The Lonely Gourmet." It's called "Jun Liver Bowl," which comes from liver stir-fried with leeks, but without the leeks, hence the name "Jun Liver." The famous place for this dish is a certain restaurant in Kameido, but it's quite expensive, so I hesitated. This restaurant is located not far from the previously reported Sunamachi Ginza Shopping Street. The price range is vastly different, so I decided to visit this place. Guess what! You can get the Jun Liver Bowl that costs 1,100 yen at the other restaurant for just one coin here. The main focus is on takeout, with many people buying along the street. The business hours are short, only 2 and a half hours from 11:30 to 14:00 on weekdays. And they sell out quickly, so my order was the last one for the day (around 13:25). Jun Liver Bowl: - Small portion: 400 yen (150g liver, 250g rice) - Regular portion: 450 yen (180g liver, 300g rice) - Large portion: 500 yen (210g liver, 350g rice) You can also choose the level of spiciness: 1. Not spicy 2. Mildly spicy 3. Normal 4. Very spicy 5. Extremely spicy I thought I could handle the spiciness, so I went for the extremely spicy option. And, of course, I chose the large portion. I debated whether to take it to go, but I decided to eat in the restaurant. After all, I wanted to enjoy it as much as possible. The tables are small, only three 4-person tables, so the restaurant is quite cramped. They provide self-service cold and hot tea. Once I placed my order, the owner started grilling the chicken liver on the hot plate. The liver was perfectly cooked, sweet and savory, and looked delicious with a generous amount of leeks on top. The liver was cut slightly small and packed on top of the rice. The liver was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, with no unpleasant smell. The slightly smoky and rich sweet and savory flavor was irresistible. I love liver, so I wouldn't mind if it had a stronger taste! It was much more delicious than I had imagined. I finished it in no time, it was just too good! Considering the cost performance, this place seems to be a strong contender for the 2017 MVP. I also liked the owner's service, so I definitely want to visit again. I would like to try how well the taste holds up when taken home. The total weight of the dish I had that day was about 600g, and the estimated calorie count was around 800 kcal. In the vicinity of Kita-Suna and Sunamachi Ginza shopping street in Koto Ward, there is a budget-friendly liver bowl restaurant called "Payayoshi", located about 150 meters from the exit. However, this restaurant is not well-known because it only operates during weekdays at lunchtime. Many people thought that this restaurant had already closed down due to its limited operating hours. One of the recommended points of this restaurant is its high cost performance. While the taste may not be as good as the famous restaurant "Nen", the prices are very cheap! The liver bowl costs only 450 yen (compared to 1,100 yen at Nen) and comes in a decent portion size. The liver pieces are slightly larger and a bit firmer, with a slightly less sweet sauce. The cooking method involves grilling the liver on an iron plate, giving it a delicious flavor. Overall, the taste is quite good and some people may even prefer it for its liver-like taste. Additionally, miso soup and toppings (green onions, kimchi, shredded cabbage, soft-boiled egg) are available for an extra 50 yen each, making it a very affordable option. The spiciness level (1-5) can be chosen, with the default being level 3. The restaurant can accommodate up to 10 people, but it can get crowded quickly due to its small size. The nearest stations are Nishi-Sunamachi Station on the Tozai Line (1.3 km away) and Ojima Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line (1.1 km away). In conclusion, the grilled liver at this restaurant is delicious and most importantly, very affordable! However, it still only operates on weekdays at lunchtime. The restaurant has a website, but the operating hours listed there seem to be inaccurate (laughs).

Within a 15-minute walk from Ojima Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line, I visited "Payayoshi" located along Maru-Hachi Street. There is a coin parking nearby, so you can also feel at ease coming by car. I knew that it was a B-class gourmet in Koto Ward, but this was my first time trying it. I have high uric acid levels, so I am a bit worried later! The interior of the restaurant only has table seats and can get quite crowded with 8 people. It seems like the main focus of the shop is on takeout sales. The shop is run by one owner. There were no customers when I arrived, but there were 3 customers after me. I think there were many customers getting takeout. As soon as I entered, I ordered verbally a pure liver bowl for 450 yen and miso soup for 50 yen on the right side. You can choose the spiciness level from 5 levels, and I asked for normal. (Payment is made in advance) It was served in about 10 minutes. It looks quite voluminous from the appearance. The taste is sweet and salty, and the balance with green onions is very good. Considering the price of 450 yen, the cost performance is quite good! I finished eating in about 5-6 minutes. The normal portion is already sufficient, but the large portion is only 50 yen more, so it is a good deal for those who want to eat a lot. It was very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I rarely come across the shop being open, but today it was open so I decided to visit after a long time. I ordered one of the shop's two main dishes, the maguro donburi (500 yen). After ordering, the wife sprinkled vinegar on the rice to make vinegar rice. Meanwhile, the husband cut the tuna from the refrigerator. There were two types of sashimi, one white and one light pink, arranged on top of the vinegar rice with seaweed. Both types of sashimi were fatty, with a texture similar to otoro that melts in your mouth. It looked like a regular maguro donburi, but it tasted like otoro and only cost 500 yen, which was amazing! The husband explained that the sashimi was slightly frozen, but it thawed nicely on top of the warm rice by the time I got home. I thought there were only two menu items, but I also ordered the fried rice (200 yen) to take home. The fried rice was pre-packed in a plastic bag, but the wife heated it up in the microwave for me. It was a simple fried rice topped with char siu, egg, green onions, and pickled ginger. It was lightly seasoned, but it had a nice flavor possibly from using pure liver sauce. The maguro donburi and fried rice were both delicious and affordable. And, the pure liver donburi for only 350 yen is unbelievably cheap! I definitely recommend it. Date: 2010.02.21 Located halfway between Oshima and Minamisuna-cho, near the entrance of the Sunamachi Ginza shopping street, this shop opened in September last year and offers two takeout dishes: pure liver donburi and maguro donburi. This time, I ordered the pure liver donburi (350 yen). When you order, the chicken liver marinated in sauce is placed on a hot plate and cooked, resembling the cooking style of horumon-yaki. Once cooked, it is placed on top of the rice in a bowl to complete the dish. Since they start cooking after receiving the order, there is a short wait, but there are two benches on the sidewalk where you can sit and wait. Next to the benches, warm tea is provided for self-service while you wait. The amount of liver for 350 yen is unbelievable, and even for 500 yen, it is still cheap. The sweet and savory liver has no unpleasant smell or slimy texture, making it easy to eat. Even those who dislike liver can definitely enjoy it and appreciate the deliciousness of liver. The crunchy texture of the blood vessels attached to the liver adds to the experience. It would be even more delicious if the liver were cut into larger pieces instead of being finely chopped. The pure liver donburi allows for adjustments in spiciness and flavor intensity, and you can also add toppings such as green onions, shredded cabbage, and a soft-boiled egg for an additional 50 yen each. The name of the shop, "Payayoshi," is the name of the band that the owner is a part of. The band is moderately active, with the owner on drums. Inside the small kitchen, you can hear the voices of the owner, his wife, and their child. The child seems to dislike the cramped space of the shop and keeps going outside, followed by the wife. The loving family atmosphere at the shop, different from supermarkets and convenience stores, is also a secret to the deliciousness of the dishes.

I visited a place called Payayoshi, where you can enjoy a B-class gourmet dish called "Jyun Liver Bowl". It is located about 1km from Oshima Subway Station, near Sunamachi Ginza. It was around 1pm when I arrived. The shop faces a big street, making it easy to spot with its sign and flags advertising the "Jyun Liver Bowl". The shop only offers takeout, but there are two long benches outside where you can sit and eat. It seems to be run by a couple who are very kind. I could hear children's voices from inside the shop. The menu consists of two items: "Jyun Liver Bowl (350 yen)" and "Tuna Bowl (500 yen)". You can also get a large serving for an additional 50 yen. For the Jyun Liver Bowl, you can add toppings like green onions, shredded cabbage, and a soft-boiled egg for 50 yen each, and you can also order it as a side dish (2 servings for 500 yen). You can adjust the spiciness and richness to your liking. I ordered the "Jyun Liver Bowl large serving (350 yen + 50 yen)" right away. The wife asked me, "Is it okay if it's a bit spicy even though it's normal?" and I said it was fine! When I placed my order, the husband grilled the liver on a hot plate. Once it was cooked just right, he mixed it with a special sauce and piled it on top of the rice in a container. I opened the lid after about 3 minutes and the sweet and savory aroma filled the air. The liver was delicious, with no hint of any unpleasant smell, and it paired perfectly with the special sauce. The generous amount of green onions also complemented the dish well. The bowl was packed with rice, so it was very satisfying. But there was so much liver that I wanted more rice. All this for 350 yen (400 yen for a large serving)…such a great deal!!! It's perfect for lunch or as a snack at 3pm. I'm curious about the Tuna Bowl now…

On a regular day, while passing by the shop during work, I was lured by a nice smell and saw the sign "Pure Liver Bowl 450 yen", so I decided to try it out. The shop was small with 2-3 tables, and I could eat inside, but I chose to get it to go. They mentioned that you could choose the level of spiciness, but since I don't like spicy food, I opted for mild. It was ready in about 5 minutes. My impression was that there was no unpleasant taste or smell of liver, and it was delicious with plenty of green onions on top. And for only 450 yen, I thought it was cheap. I am satisfied. I would like to buy from this shop again next time I pass by during lunchtime.

Payayoshi (Kitasuna 6-3-2) serves a dish called "Jun Liver Bowl" for 450 yen. The restaurant only operates during weekday lunch hours, and there are days when they run out of food quickly. The opening hours are quite short. To try this somewhat rare dish, the reviewer arrived at the restaurant at 11:00, but it was still closed. After waiting for a bit, the reviewer returned at 11:15 to find the restaurant open. However, they were informed that the dish would take about an hour to prepare. Despite the long wait, the reviewer ordered the "Jun Liver Bowl" in medium size with extra spiciness and green onion topping. The dish was satisfying, and the portion size was good. The reviewer found out that the restaurant usually operates in this manner, with limited hours and quick sell-outs. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, and the dish was delicious.
