[Nearest Station] Ginza Line, Hanzomon Line - Mitsukoshimae Station [Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, Main Building B1F] [Shop] Maison Ladurée was founded in Paris, France in 1862. Creating the history of Parisian "Salon de Thé" that combines cafes and patisseries, for over 150 years, it has charmed people around the world as a prestigious Maison symbolizing "l'art de vivre à la française" and as a "Fabricant de douceurs" who created the macaron. (Source: Ladurée official website) This is a takeout-only store located in Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store. Beautiful and delicious Western confectioneries such as cakes and macarons are displayed in the showcase. [Food Consumed] Macarons: 1 piece for 395 yen - Sweet Potato, Thé Marie Antoinette, Chocolat, Pistache [Impressions] So this is the origin of macarons! I didn't know that... I'm not particularly interested in macarons, but I heard that the macarons from this shop are delicious, so I decided to try them. And wow, they are delicious! The texture of the macaron shell is delicate - crispy on the outside and slightly moist on the inside. I'm not a fan of the grainy texture that some macarons have, but I didn't really feel that with these. And the cream inside is delicious. The Sweet Potato flavor has a rum-flavored sweet potato cream. The Chocolat and Pistache are rich. Thé Marie Antoinette (blue) - what flavor is it? It's hard to describe, but it's complex yet fruity and refreshing. I really liked the taste. I particularly enjoyed the Chocolat and Thé Marie Antoinette. The sweetness of all flavors was not overly sweet, in my opinion. I think enjoying them with a delicious tea would make me feel happy. I probably can't eat too many of these at once... and they are quite expensive (laughs), so I only bought four flavors this time. But I would like to try other flavors as well. The colorful and cute appearance, I'm sure girls would be delighted to receive these as gifts. Thank you, Ladurée, for changing the concept of macarons. Thank you for the treat.

I visited the LADUREE Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi store, which has a rating of 3.70 on Tabelog and is ranked in the Top 5000 for 2023. The location is in the underground dining area of Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi. The interior is a take-out specialty store with a wide selection of macarons, cakes, and luxurious items that stand out. The main store is in France and was established in 1862, known as the origin of macarons. You can enjoy the authentic branch of this store in Mitsukoshi's basement. Although popular western confectionery stores now offer macarons, hearing that this is the original gives a sense of exclusivity. Perfect for souvenirs. Macarons (8 pieces) include flavors like white peach, pistachio, lemon, caramel, rose, muscat, cassis, and framboise. Macarons, famous as a specialty of France, are popular with both adults and children and make a delightful souvenir. It's a great store.

I went to Ladurée the day before it closed at the end of August. I ordered the Shine Muscat parfait. Since it was closing, I couldn't write much, but it was cute, stylish, and delicious! It was a great experience to visit Ladurée at Mitsukoshi for the first and last time. I hope to come back someday if they reopen. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I went to Mitsukoshi to find a gift. I asked the guide for recommendations on items with a long shelf life, Western sweets, gifts, and a special touch, and narrowed it down to four stores. After browsing around, I finally made a decision. I was a bit worried about the shelf life of the item, as it needed refrigeration and could only last four days, but it looked delicious and the packaging was beautiful, so I chose it. The staff's service was elegant and pleasant. They thanked me for choosing their store at the end. It was a bit embarrassing that they could tell I was struggling to make a decision, but it felt good in a way. If the recipient says it was delicious, I'll definitely become a regular customer.

Visited the popular pastry shop "Ladurée" at Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi. Established in Paris in 1862, this longstanding store became the first salon de thé in Paris in 1930. It is also known as the origin of macarons, and it can be said that macarons became popular in Japan after Ladurée entered the market in 2008. I bought several pistachio macarons. When it comes to macarons, I was most familiar with "Pierre Hermé Paris," but compared to that, Ladurée's macarons seem to have a stronger meringue texture on the outside. They have a simple sweetness, and the pistachio flavor is quite rich. It felt like going back to the basics and reaching the pinnacle.

A specialty macaron shop. It was a bit hard to find because it's a small store, but the window display is full of colorful macarons, making it a super cute shop. It would definitely be a well-received gift, and it's also satisfying as a treat for yourself with its high cuteness factor.

I visited "Ladurée Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Store" on this day. Ladurée is known for its delicious sweets and macarons, and on this day, there were beautifully displayed sweets. I bought a dessert based on strawberry mousse and pistachio macaron, although I forgot the name. The strawberry mousse looked really cute and got me excited. Inside the thin crispy strawberry chocolate, there was strawberry mousse, strawberry jam, and coconut, creating a rich strawberry aroma. It paired well with sparkling wine, enhancing the full-bodied aroma. I also bought some macarons, which I am looking forward to enjoying tomorrow. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Visited the famous store Ladurée in Nihonbashi! It was easy to find with its colorful showcase in the Mitsukoshi basement. Mitsukoshi's basement is a gourmet paradise! I only bought macarons, but they were delicious. I look forward to trying other sweets if I have the chance!

Nagoya used to have a Takashimaya store, but it closed down. For Valentine's Day, there was a pop-up shop at Takashimaya Gate Tower Mall from the beginning of February until February 14th. I purchased Valentine's limited edition Chocolat Macarons - Ispahan Harmony. I also got the Roll de Langue de Chat Chocolat Macarons with lychee, rose, and raspberry flavors. The macarons were light and had a nice texture. The colors were pastel and cute, and the packaging was also adorable. The Langue de Chat came in a Ladurée green tin with vanilla and chocolate raspberry flavors. It can last for a while, making it a good choice for gifts.

I used to dislike macarons, but a long time ago, a friend gave me rose macarons from a French bakery and I loved them. I forgot to ask which bakery it was, but since then I have tried macarons from various famous shops, and these are still my favorite. They have a slight chewiness, a soft jelly-like texture, a hint of creaminess, and they're not too sweet. They are truly delicious. I wonder if macarons that don't have that chewy and soft texture are fake.笑Others don't have the same qualities that I love.

I visited here located in the basement of Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi. The showcase at the storefront is filled with colorful macarons. I got the "Marie Antoinette" to take home. It had a refreshing taste, with fine coconut bits adding a nice accent.

I learned that there are gold leaf candies inspired by the famous Isfahan motif. Moreover, these gold leaf candies are made by the reputable old shop Kyoju-an Shimizu in Kyoto. Carefully handcrafted gold leaf candies are packaged in cute paper packaging. I opened all the bags and put them in a container. The container, although made of paper, is airtight and doesn't seem to get humid quickly, so it's reassuring. From left to right, there are lychee, raspberry, and rose flavors. Each one is charming, but when you put them in your mouth together, it tastes like Isfahan!! So luxurious~♪ I will enjoy them as a snack for a while.

I purchased macarons and chocolate which had high ratings. The macarons and chocolate were both around 3000 yen, a bit pricey. I was satisfied, but didn't have any specific impressions. I should have gotten the chocolate in bonbon form.

The white peach macaron for ¥346 including tax with white peach confiture was delicious. The mandarin petitian macaron for ¥346 including tax with a mandarin-flavored ganache infused with sparkling wine and brandy was also very tasty.

You can choose from four colors for the box, and you can also select six macarons: raspberry, lemon, Ispahan, pistachio, cassis-violet, and cherry. I used to think Ispahan macarons were only available at Ladurée, but it turns out that's not the case. I usually think this place is always empty, but on this day there were quite a few customers, many of whom were buying gifts. While I don't think the macarons are incredibly delicious, the cute packaging makes up for it (laughs).

The store is filled with various Western sweets, all colorful and vibrant. I decided to buy a box of macarons. There are many different flavors, but my favorite is pistachio. The pistachio-flavored cream is delicious, with just the right amount of sweetness.

I went on a girls' trip and picked up a cake from Ladurée on the way back to the hotel after wandering around aimlessly, like silver travelers. I was happy to see it because I hadn't seen it at the Nagoya store for a while. The cute appearance of the cake tickles a woman's heart and makes you feel kind.

It had been a long time since I last bought wagashi (Japanese sweets), and it wasn't even in my plans, but I ended up buying some. The selection was limited, with only 6 types available, and the brand heavily focuses on macarons, with a very high unit price. Items purchased (including tax): - Tart Frais Mascarpone (1,048 yen) x 3.8 Composition: Mascarpone cream + strawberry + tart crust The mascarpone cream had a noticeable level of moisture, a balanced richness, and sweetness that I enjoyed. The combination with the strawberry added a clear harmony of flavors. The tart crust provided a crunchy texture, with low moisture content, but when paired with the cream inside, it was just right. - Shortcake Sakura (1,296 yen) x 3.2 Composition: Sakura-flavored cream + sponge cake + Griotte cherry The sakura-flavored cream was strong in taste but not overpowering, with a stronger taste than expected. The sponge cake was not very moist and was overly sweet on its own. The cream was not enough to balance out the sponge cake, and the aftertaste was affected. While I didn't dislike the intensity of the Griotte cherry, the overall quality for the price was disappointing. Overall, considering the high prices, I feel more satisfied having macarons or a parfait in Ginza. However, the clear strength of macarons might make me consider revisiting if the opportunity arises. Overall rating: 3.9 → 3.7 (-0.2)

Founded in 1862 in Paris, France, this prestigious Maison combines a cafe and patisserie, and is the birthplace of the macaron. I visited to purchase macarons, which cost 314 yen each and have a short shelf life of 4 days. I bought the following flavors: - Marie Antoinette (blue): Original tea-scented cream filling - Strawberry (red): Strawberry confiture with a jam-like sweetness - Sakura (pink): Cream with a gentle cherry blossom scent - Lemon (yellow): Cream with a refreshing lemon flavor - Pistachio (green): Cream with a pistachio flavor Despite the high price, these macarons were not only visually stunning and luxurious, but also delicious. Thank you for the meal.

If you hear about the origin of macarons, you have to go to the original shop! Of course, this is a branch, located in the pastry corner of Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi's basement. This time, I tried the Pistachio Chocolate Caramel flavor. Macarons are small but really expensive, right? However, strangely, compared to other shops around, they seem a bit cheaper, haha. Among the ones I tried, the Caramel flavor was the best! It's delicious♪ It's a great gift to bring to someone's house♪ I can't buy a lot for myself, so receiving them makes me happy, haha. Thank you for the meal! (*´ω`*)
