I walked from Ueno to the Asakusa Temple area. I came here to buy souvenirs. As I was walking, I saw a couple passing by enjoying some delicious "taiyaki". They were saying, "This is so good!" I looked around and found the shop they were talking about. The shop is called "Taiyaki Shiraku". It is a top 5000 shop. I confirmed the sign outside the shop before entering. I ordered a "taiyaki" for 220 yen. The owner asked me to wait for 2-3 minutes as they were going to bake it fresh. I waited eagerly. The owner worked diligently to bake the taiyaki. After about 5 minutes, it was ready and served in a white paper bag. It was hot. I took a bite and found a hollow inside. The red bean paste was at the tail end. The thin skin was crispy and delicious. The red bean paste made with Hokkaido's Tokachi (Erimo variety) beans was excellent. The fresh taiyaki was amazing. It was slightly burnt but still delicious. Sweet treats always get a high score. Sweet things are always a bit of a burn, but it was worth it.

- Price: 220 yen per taiyaki - Review: As part of the third stop on the Asakusa Top 100 Stores tour, I visited Shiraraku. It's located right near Chiyoya. Luckily, I was able to get in without waiting in line. The taiyaki was piping hot and freshly baked, with a thin crispy shell filled with mildly sweet red bean paste. It was packed full and very easy to eat. The crispy tail was also incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Visited around 11 AM on a Sunday in the Oku Asakusa area. There was one customer before me, and there was a space outside where you could sit and eat. I ordered a taiyaki for 220 yen. I ate it on the spot, and it was slightly warm with a crispy skin and just the right amount of sweetness in the filling. A satisfying taiyaki. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by.

A takeout-only taiyaki shop located about a 10-minute walk from Asakusa Station! Ordered one taiyaki for 220 yen. The skin was thin and filled with plenty of red bean paste. The taiyaki had been made a while ago, so I couldn't enjoy the crispy texture of the skin, but the red bean paste was delicious with little aftertaste. I'd like to try it fresh next time. Thank you for the meal!

Hello, it's Gourmet Actor here. Tonight, I visited Taiyaki Shingaku in Asakusa, a famous taiyaki shop. The shop has a nostalgic and charming exterior, giving off a vibe of having been around for decades. In addition to taiyaki, they also offer various sweets like warabi mochi. Taiyaki Shingaku is a popular taiyaki shop in Asakusa, and it's safe to say that when it comes to taiyaki, this place is top-notch. The taiyaki here is served fresh and hot, so be careful when holding the bag. Freshly made taiyaki truly makes a difference in taste. The taiyaki at Shingaku has a crispy exterior and a piping hot red bean filling, making it incredibly delicious. It's probably the best taiyaki you can find in Asakusa. There is also a small seating area outside where you can take a break and enjoy your taiyaki. Traditional Japanese sweets and desserts have always been popular, and taiyaki is no exception. Even with so many sweets available, taiyaki remains a beloved treat, and the best can be found in Asakusa. If you love taiyaki, I highly recommend visiting Taiyaki Shingaku. You won't be disappointed!

Taking a bus from Nippori to Asakusa. As a country person, I don't usually use buses in Tokyo, we mostly rely on subways and trains. It's not very convenient to travel from Nippori to Asakusa by train. This route is much more convenient by bus. I had a place I wanted to visit in Asakusa, and this was one of them. Two weeks ago, I was impressed by the taiyaki from Yanagiya, one of the top three taiyaki shops in Tokyo. Although this place is not one of the top three, it is still a popular shop. They bake each taiyaki individually at the storefront, using natural ingredients. The natural taiyaki has a thin crust and is filled with delicious red bean paste. Natural ingredients are truly the best. Thank you for the meal.

The closest station to the famous university sweet potato shop is Asakusa Station on the Tsukuba Express line, which takes about 10 minutes to reach. I have tried almost all the famous taiyaki shops and was curious about this one after seeing photos. They close at 5 pm during the summer. When I visited at 3:30 pm on a Saturday, there were no customers, so I was able to buy quickly. The taiyaki was already made, so it wasn't hot and fresh, which was a bit disappointing. The size was small and the amount of filling was modest, making it a light snack. Personally, I prefer the larger and more filling taiyaki from Wakaba in Yotsuya or Hikarigi in Ebisu. I brought one home to try reheating it.

I arrived on Thursday morning around 11:30 with no wait. I ordered a hot taiyaki for 220 yen and it was deliciously sweet. I sat outside and enjoyed it in peace as there were not many people around in the back of Kannon. Thank you for the meal, I will definitely go again!

In Asakusa, there is a taiyaki shop where you can sit on a small stool outside the shop and enjoy your treat. When I visited around 3:00 PM, the friendly owner told me, "If you're in a hurry, I can make a fresh batch now for you to wait." I decided to wait, and there was also a couple from France who had come after reading about the shop in a guidebook. The freshly baked taiyaki and the atmosphere of the shop were fantastic. Thank you for the delicious treat, and thank you very much.

A traditional Japanese sweets shop and a takeout taiyaki shop. It was easy to buy on a weekday. They bake each taiyaki individually, said to be made with natural ingredients. The taiyaki here is slightly salty and not too sweet, with a crispy texture and delicious flavor. Thank you for the meal.

This is a taiyaki shop in Asakusa. The temperature is just right, not too hot, and you can taste the high-quality Erimo red beans from Hokkaido. It has been featured on TV many times, and I remember seeing it on my favorite late-night show. At first, I thought the name Shunraku was a brand of sake from Fukushima, but it turns out it is named after a famous ukiyo-e artist from the Edo period, showing my lack of knowledge...

Today, I went shop hopping in Oku Asakusa. I've been to this area many times before, but finally I was able to visit Shirakawa-san! ※Taiyaki ¥220 There were chairs in front of the shop, which was convenient. (Some places don't have them, so it's a bit embarrassing to stand and eat in the alley at my age...) The taiyaki has a thin crispy skin, but it also has a slightly chewy texture which is delicious. Of course, the sweet red bean paste inside is also delicious. I always thought that taiyaki with thin skin loses its deliciousness when it cools down, but maybe it's not the case with this one. I'll try taking it to go next time. A family that passed by after me also bought some. The shop owner kindly suggested they extend the sunshade because it's hot. The friendly and kind atmosphere of this old downtown couple is lovely.

I used the takeout service. When I arrived around 4 p.m., there was no line and I was able to order smoothly. I ordered their famous taiyaki. They served it to me right away. The taste was really delicious, with a crispy outer shell and a generous amount of red bean paste inside. It was served quickly, but it seemed like it was freshly made. At 220 yen, it's a great value for a snack on the go.

Selected as one of the top 100 sweet shops in Tokyo in 2023. I visited around 2 pm on a weekday and there were no other customers. I tried the "Ittayaki" taiyaki (fish-shaped cake with sweet filling) for 220 yen. I sat on the long bench outside the shop and enjoyed it immediately. The taiyaki had a natural sweetness, the skin wasn't very crispy but the thin crust was filled with plenty of hot filling. There was a sign saying they would close early due to the intense heat. It's a good idea to visit early on hot days.

I visited "Taiyaki Shiraku" near Asakusa Hanayashiki. Congratulations on being selected as one of the top 100 sweet shops in Tokyo by Tabelog for 2023. The shop opened in 2006 and is located near Asakusa Station on the Toei Asakusa Line, about a 5-minute walk from Tsukuba Express Asakusa Station. It is located on the first floor of the building "Capital Plaza Asakusa" facing Koto-dori street. When you enter the alley along the building, you will see the "taiyaki" flag waving in the wind. The walls inside the shop are decorated with colored paper. Mr. Yoshino Kiichiro bakes the taiyaki at the storefront. Today, I tried the following menu item: Taiyaki - Shiraku's taiyaki comes in only one variety. The surface of the dough is thin and crispy. The red bean paste filling from head to tail uses red beans from Hokkaido. The taiyaki is heavy due to the generous amount of piping hot red bean paste inside. I enjoyed the taiyaki made with carefully selected red bean paste. Thank you for the meal.

I got a little hungry so I decided to have a snack. When it comes to taiyaki in Asakusa, I think of Naniwaya Sohonten which is famous for its taiyaki, but I heard that Asakusa Takashimaya is also popular. It's located near a famous sweet potato shop. I had never heard of it before. The shop is quite small, run by a couple, I think. They were operating in a cozy space. They seem to have been featured in various media outlets. It was hot so I was tempted by the shakes, but I decided to go with the classic taiyaki. It was served quickly as it seemed they had already baked some. I enjoyed it on the bench outside the shop. Ordered item: - Taiyaki 220 yen It seemed a bit small to me compared to what I know. I heard the skin was thin, but it felt quite thick to me, haha. I'm not an expert on taiyaki, so I can't really judge... The texture was crispy on the outside and chewy inside, with a fragrant sweetness. It was delicious. It must have been even better when it was freshly baked. The sweet bean paste had a very natural sweetness and was quite tasty. Both the dough and the filling were good. It felt like there was just the right amount of filling, not overly stuffed. Towards the tail end, it was mostly just the dough, haha. It was just right for a snack when you're a bit hungry. It was tasty and reasonably priced. They only accepted cash. Thank you for the meal!

I visited "Taiyaki Shiraraku," which was selected as one of the top 100 traditional Japanese sweets shops, located a 5-minute walk from Asakusa Station (TX). The interior of the shop was filled with photos of various celebrities who had eaten there, indicating its popularity. I ordered the ⭐️Taiyaki for 220 yen and was told to wait a bit as they were going to bake it. I received a freshly baked one in a paper bag, making it easy to hold. Freshly baked ones are always the best, right? The skin was thin and you could see the red bean paste through it. It was more chewy than crispy, and the red bean paste went all the way to the tail, making it delicious. I also ordered the ⭐️Matcha Shake for 550 yen as I was thirsty due to the heat. Let's make sure to stay hydrated to prevent heatstroke.

Today, by chance, I felt like having something sweet after lunch. I spotted a taiyaki shop near the coin parking. I decided to buy two. They were the traditional kind, not the trendy ones you often see these days... more like the original taiyaki that you can feel the history in. The surface was crispy, and the filling was juicy and oozed out. The sweetness was just right, with a nice red bean flavor. Great!

I went to Asakusa, but the Nakamise Street was extremely crowded. I escaped and found a delicious taiyaki shop nearby while exploring the area. The shop had photos displayed, and it seemed like celebrities also visited. Without hesitation, I made a purchase! The taiyaki had a thin, chewy dough. Despite being thin, it had a strong presence. The filling inside was coarse red bean paste. It had a hint of saltiness, so it wasn't too sweet and had a refreshing taste! I enjoyed it without getting tired of the large amount of filling! This was a wonderful discovery!

Located about a 10-minute walk from Asakusa Station, there is a taiyaki shop. I ordered a taiyaki, which was crispy on the outside and soft and chewy with sweet red bean paste on the inside. The texture was great, and the quality of the red bean paste was just right. It was only 220 yen, which is cheap for this quality.

I visited the shop before noon on a regular day. The quiet atmosphere of the shop had a nice Asakusa vibe, which I enjoyed. The mochi had a crispy skin and a light, refreshing red bean paste filling. The size was small, making it easy for women to eat. Next time, I want to try the warabi mochi. :)
