I visited after work. The price had increased to 170 yen, but I still bought it because I really wanted to eat it. It was hot and had chunky, not too sweet red bean paste. It made me irresistibly happy. It soaked into my tired body. The lady at the shop was also kind and heartwarming.

[Tatsumiya] - Taiyaki ¥150
Located at the corner of the three-way intersection in Shimo-Takaido shopping street.
After having lunch, I felt like eating something sweet, so I came to this taiyaki shop located at the corner of the three-way intersection in Shimo-Takaido. They have been in business for a long time without changing much. Taiyaki costs 150 yen each, which is very reasonable. You can choose whether you want the taiyaki with or without the fish-shaped tail. I like the ones with the tail because it adds a nice crunch. The taiyaki's skin is crispy and fragrant, not chewy but crispy, and filled with hot red bean paste inside. It's delicious! I bought two, ate one while standing, and saved the other to enjoy at home with some bitter tea.

When I casually stopped by the area, I caught a sweet scent... I thought it might be red bean paste and as I walked closer, I saw a taiyaki shop right in front of me. It was around 10:30 in the morning and I hesitated whether to eat it or not, but my appetite was aroused so I ended up lining up at the register. The taiyaki was priced at 150 yen, which was totally okay. The appearance of the taiyaki had wings on it. When I took a bite, the texture of the chewy dough combined with the perfect sweetness of the red bean paste was just right. Oh... this is the kind I like... Some other reviewers mentioned that there was less red bean paste compared to before, but as someone who enjoys the dough more, I wouldn't mind if there was even less red bean paste, haha. I definitely want to eat this again. Revisit confirmed.

The popular shop in Shitakaido Shotengai, Paripari, has a crispy skin filled with a generous amount of creamy red bean paste. The delicious taste that has remained unchanged for years, and the affordable price, are a delight for the common people. Unfortunately, sales for this season have ended. Looking forward to the reopening in September. Thank you for the meal.

Anko is a proud taiyaki shop. The menu only offers traditional taiyaki with anko filling. The taiyaki with plenty of anko is incredibly delicious. The skin is crispy, and the anko is perfectly sweet, creating a balanced flavor. Be sure to try the hot taiyaki!

First Visit 202304 (No.4414)
1. Purpose of Visit
- Visited based on information received from Hana8 from MyRebi.
2. Shop Information
- Genre on Tabelog: Taiyaki, Obanyaki
- Taiyaki shop run by an izakaya
- Business Hours: 10:00-18:30
- Closed on Tuesdays
- Takeout only
3. Crowdedness on the day
- Visited around 10:30 on a weekday, with 1 customer ahead and no customers behind.
4. Customer Service
- Friendly and pleasant service
5. Purchased Items
- Taiyaki for 150 yen
- It's a grab-and-go situation, so you get your order instantly. The texture of the dough is a bit different compared to famous shops in Tokyo. I love taiyaki with a thin dough and lots of filling, but this one had some thicker parts in the dough. Looking at past photos, the filling used to be packed tightly, and the price has remained the same since January 2020. Considering the recent price increases, it seems like the shop is trying hard to maintain the amount of filling without raising prices. Thank you for the meal.

If you walk about 5 minutes from Shimokitazawa Station down Nihon University Street, you'll see the shop almost straight ahead. It's very easy to find. I visited right after they opened, and soon after, two more customers came in. It seems to be quite popular. I sat on the bench outside the shop and enjoyed the freshly baked, crispy and warm pastries. It was a peaceful and happy moment on a quiet Sunday morning. The red bean paste was a bit too sweet for my liking.

I love freshly baked taiyaki. This time, I tried visiting Tatsumiya for the first time. It cost 150 yen per piece. They served me a freshly baked taiyaki. I enjoyed the taiyaki with ears on the bench in front of the shop. The crispy ears and fragrant skin were delicious. The inside was filled with juicy red bean paste! The sweetness was just right, and it was undeniably delicious. I wish there was a shop like this in my neighborhood. I envy the residents of Shimotakaido. Thank you for the meal.

I love the taiyaki here, which costs 150 yen including tax. I went on a weekday afternoon when there was no line. The weather was nice and there were empty benches, so I enjoyed it outside. The skin and red bean paste were perfectly balanced and piping hot. Eating it right after receiving it is definitely the best way. This taiyaki is something I crave regularly.

At Takumiya in Shimo-Takaido, they sell taiyaki. Takumiya is a local favorite in the Shimo-Takaido area, loved by the residents. I used to occasionally buy and eat taiyaki when I was young, and after several decades, I decided to stop by and buy some again. Most taiyaki shops offer various fillings like cream or cheese, but Takumiya only has red bean paste, so there's no need to hesitate. It has always been just red bean paste. It's so pure. I arrived just before closing time, but there were still a few left, so I bought two. When I got home and unwrapped them, I was surprised by their size. They are taiyaki with tails, and they are quite big. When I took a bite, I noticed that the dough is thick, and the red bean paste is packed from head to tail. Even though the dough is thick, the generous amount of red bean paste balances it out and tastes delicious. The red bean paste is not too sweet, so it's very easy to eat. After having it after a long time, I couldn't help but say, "This is what taiyaki is supposed to be!" It felt like it was highly recommended. If I pass by again, I would definitely want to buy more.

First visit. The sweet red bean paste is delicious!! I like that it's not too sweet! The tail is filled with plenty of red bean paste. It makes sense that they only sell red bean paste. It would be amazing to have it with sweet red bean soup or on toast with butter and red bean paste.

【I stopped by while strolling around.】On this day, I watched a rugby game, walked from Komazawa Olympic Park to Matsunokami Shrine Station, took the Tokyu Setagaya Line from Matsunokami Shrine Station to Shimotakaido Station, and then walked around the Shimotakaido shopping street. During that time, I visited this place. Next to it is Izakaya Tatsumi, right? 【Still a line】This taiyaki shop is famous in this area, so I expected there to be a line, and sure enough, there was. The shop is located at a triangular corner, and the line wraps around that corner. It's still very popular. 【Delicious taiyaki with crispy wings】I have bought taiyaki from here a few times in the past. This time, or rather, there is only taiyaki here. So, I bought some taiyaki. One of the characteristics of the taiyaki here is the crispy wings. The wings of the taiyaki here are delicious. They have a crispy texture and a fragrant aroma. The sweet bean paste is just right, and it goes well with the dough. Overall, it's delicious. If you're in this area, I recommend it.

[Visit Date] Noon on a holiday [Order] Takeout [Opening Hours] Not specified. On a holiday, I decided to take a leisurely stroll and ended up in a place I don't usually visit, three stops away from my local station in Shimotakaido. I visited "Tatsumiya," a taiyaki (fish-shaped cake filled with red bean paste) shop located in a shopping street extending from Shimotakaido Station. I had been wanting to visit this taiyaki shop based on the reviews I had read before. Although there were a few benches where two people could sit, the shop mainly focuses on takeout orders. I bought taiyaki for my family and reheated them at home. ▪️Taiyaki 150 yen When making the purchase, I was asked if I wanted the taiyaki with or without the "wings," and I chose to have them with the wings. (It feels like a good deal to get them with the wings.) The thin skin of the taiyaki was filled with smooth red bean paste, which was quite sweet with a slightly grainy texture. While there are three famous taiyaki shops in Tokyo, I personally think that the taste of this taiyaki is on par with those renowned shops. Taiyaki seems to suit places with a nostalgic atmosphere, and this shop in this neighborhood in Setagaya had a strong downtown vibe. The staff were friendly and lively, and I was able to enjoy the taiyaki with a pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and acquaintances. Thank you for the delicious treat.

This shop is located on the way to Nihon University from Shimo-Asagaya shopping street. During winter, there is always a long line so it's easy to spot. The price is only ¥150 per piece, which is quite a deal nowadays. The sweet red bean paste inside is not too sweet and piping hot, with plenty of filling all the way to the tail. It's satisfying to eat. It's convenient to buy while taking a stroll. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Tatsumiya, which is located about a 3-4 minute walk southwest along the shopping street from the south exit of Shimotakaido Station. Every time I passed by this place, I noticed there was always a line, so I finally decided to check it out. It was around 2 pm on a Sunday and there were about 7 people waiting in line outside. In addition to the taiyaki (150 yen), they also sell red bean paste for 100 yen. The taiyaki is served with ears attached. The dough is quite tasty, with a thick outer layer. Some people may prefer a thinner crust, but I found this version to be delicious. It lived up to its popularity. Thank you for the meal.

Yesterday, there was a long line of about 20 people surrounding the building, so we gave up. It was probably because there was an administrative scrivener exam at Nihon University College of Humanities and Sciences. Today, my husband and I, who both had the day off, went to Sakae and followed our usual routine of getting taiyaki at Tatsumiya. We rarely come here, so we ordered 15 taiyaki to share with our friends: 2 each x 5 + 5 (150 x 15 = 2250 yen). Even though we weren't in line when we placed our order, several people lined up right after us, so we apologized. The taiyaki were cooked in 4 lanes, 6 at a time. We ate the piping hot taiyaki standing up on the spot (we wanted to sit on the bench, but couldn't because there were people waiting). Wait, wasn't there more red bean paste inside? It felt like there was more red bean paste before? That was our impression after eating it for the first time in a while.

Name: Tatsumiya
Location: 5 minutes walk from Shimotakaido Station on the Keio Line/Odakyu Line
Budget: Up to 1000 yen
Crowdedness: Not crowded
Purpose: Stopped by because I was feeling a little hungry
Menu:
- Taiyaki: 150 yen per piece
Overview: Tatsumiya is located about a 5-minute walk from Shimotakaido Station on the Keio Line/Odakyu Line. It is a place where you can buy taiyaki from an izakaya called Tatsumiya. Two friendly older ladies will take your order warmly. Without hesitation, I ordered the taiyaki. At only 150 yen per piece, it's very cheap! This street is often frequented by students from Nihon University, so it's great to be able to buy and eat taiyaki when you're feeling a bit hungry after class. They serve freshly made hot taiyaki. The outer skin is firm, not soft, and has a good texture. The most amazing thing is that the filling is packed full and not too sweet. The filling is so packed that as you eat, it may burst out from the side and break through the skin. They also accept payment methods like PayPay, making it convenient to stop by even if you're empty-handed. Thank you for the meal.

At the end of the day in Shimo-Asagaya, I headed to the south exit. It was a hot day like midsummer, but I was relieved to find a sign saying that the "taiyaki" would only be available until 6/30, so I decided to get one for 150 yen. The taiyaki had wings, and when I took a bite, the crispy texture and aroma of the wings were delicious. Furthermore, the filling inside was generous and voluminous, with a contrast of saltiness and sweetness that made it tasty. Even the tail had plenty of filling, and the tail also had wings, so I could enjoy the crispy and aromatic taste until the very end. This was a delicious taiyaki. I'm glad I was able to try it before the season ended, and I definitely need to revisit in the cool autumn season. Thank you for the meal. Taiyaki for ¥150. The skin is crispy but not thin, yet it's crispy! It's irresistible, and the tail is filled with plenty of sweet red bean paste. The red bean paste is on the sweeter side, and all of this for just ¥150 is a great deal! The skin is delicious, making it worth coming here just to eat it.

When I visited Noriette-san, I noticed a long line at this place across the street, so I decided to check it out. They only have one type of taiyaki on the menu, filled with red bean paste. Simple and no need to agonize over choices! The price is 150 yen per piece, and you can also buy just the red bean paste to take home. I bought a taiyaki this time. It was a very cold day, but I could enjoy a freshly made, piping hot taiyaki. It looked appetizing with its crispy outer shell. I couldn't wait, so I ate it on the spot. Ouch, it's hot!! Since it was freshly made, I had to be careful not to burn myself with the red bean paste. The red bean paste was shiny and beautiful. I started eating from the tail, and it was filled with red bean paste all the way to the end! The crispy outer shell had a nice texture, and the sweetness was just right. Personally, I usually prefer Western sweets, but considering the cost-performance ratio, taiyaki might be the strongest contender among Japanese sweets. If I crave red bean paste again, I might visit this place.
