Amphini, a ninth-ranked Buddha. The Oimachi Line of Tokyu has many famous sweets shops, including Amphini. What I had was... ◆ Organic roasted green tea from Asamiya, Shiga Prefecture, scented with chestnuts from Shimanto, a Mont Blanc. The chestnut cream melts on the tongue, with a strong flavor of Japanese chestnuts. The roasted green tea on top and in the meringue adds a crispy texture and a fragrant aroma. The whipped cream is delicious, and underneath is a chestnut glace. The balance is amazing, and the way the aroma is created is outstanding. It felt like meeting a wonderful Mont Blanc. ◆ Mariaje, featuring the scent of bergamot as the main theme. This is their specialty. The white spherical mousse cake coated with a transparent jelly has white bergamot mousse inside. In the center, there are two layers of strawberry jam and a cream with a tea-like flavor, creating a complex aroma and taste. It is a lovely mousse cake with a delightful fragrance. ◆ Chocolat et Tosa, combining Tosa's Japanese black tea and chocolate. This combination is fantastic. The not-too-sweet chocolate cream, mousse, sponge, and Japanese black tea cream blend together to create a fragrant cake. The almond praline and milk chocolate decorations add a textural accent and were delicious. What I felt at Amphini was first the restrained sweetness. The cakes are composed with the main focus on the aroma of the ingredients. The lingering aroma made me keep eating more and more. The fragrance leaves a lasting impression, so I think I will crave Amphini's cakes again. The cakes were so delicious. Thank you for the meal.

In the evening, I went to Amfini with a friend to try the limited-time shaved ice made by a pastry chef. They usually have 3 or 4 flavors available, including melon shaved ice. You can also get it to go, but it might be a bit risky in this extreme heat. The layout of the shop is a bit inconvenient as you have to eat the stylish shaved ice standing up, which was a little tough for me as I was already tired from walking. The shaved ice I had this time was called "Glass Vile Exotic," with mango sauce, passion fruit sauce, and optional coconut milk sauce. There were chunks of mango or peach at the bottom of the ice. The ice was not too hard and easy to eat.

We were thinking about where to get a cake for our wedding anniversary, and this year we decided to go to this shop we found on enBox. We made a phone reservation, and even though it's far away, we decided to go since we only need to go once. It takes about 1 hour from Urayasu to Kuhonbutsu, so it's quite far. Since there was no information about the types of whole cakes on the website, I called to confirm. Besides the regular shortcake, they also had tarts and gateau chocolat. I didn't hesitate and ordered the 18cm Parfum, which seemed to be the specialty of the shop. I didn't check the price, but it was 5200 yen. It was a hot day, so I also had a solo shaved ice. I had the strawberry mille-feuille shaved ice (1500 yen), and they also had Japanese tea shaved ice, melon shaved ice, and pineapple parfait. The parfait was over 3000 yen, so I resisted. The strawberry mille-feuille shaved ice was delicious. There were only standing tables, and there was a person outside talking loudly, which made me a bit uncomfortable. But there was self-service water available. The shop was decorated with lots of flowers and had a stylish atmosphere. They also sold citrus drinks, which seemed to have a connection with Kochi. The Parfum was delicate, so I paid close attention and managed to leave before the rush hour. It was a very beautiful cake. From the appearance, I imagined that the vanilla sweetness would be strong, but it was different. It was a cake with a slightly sour and adult taste. Very fragrant! It was not a simple delicious taste that everyone could understand, it was a bit challenging. Both of us have childish tastes, so it took us some time to appreciate it. The next morning, it tasted better. We also bought the Grand Peanut (300 yen) and Grand Cacao (399 yen) baked sweets. When we tried the sweets from this shop at enBOX, they were a bit dry and made our mouths dry, so I wanted to try a different flavor. The Grand Peanut had the same impression as before. Oh, so this is the style of their baked sweets, I thought. The Cacao was very moist, which I liked. Oh, flavors can make such a difference in moistness... I might get lost in choosing. The Dear Man Coco (710 yen) came in a pack of 5, so I brought them as snacks for our cycling trip with 5 people. The coconut-flavored cookies were delicious. *Prices are excluding tax

■Citrus Parfait (Seasonal Citrus Parfait) This is a patisserie located in Kuhonbutsu. I went to try their standing bar where you can enjoy parfaits and desserts, which started from Golden Week. There were only counter seats for about 2 or 3 people, but since it's a standing style, I think the turnover is quick. The parfait featured seasonal citrus fruits, with Dekopon and Blood Orange beautifully segmented and tasted refreshing. "Coupe d'agrumes" (May 2023) included: - Fromage Blanc Chantilly Cream - Meringue Passion - Seasonal Citrus (Dekopon, Blood Orange) - Basil and Tarragon Granite - Passion Fruit Sorbet - Yogurt Sorbet - Honey and White Wine Jelly - Japanese Black Tea Crumble

Chef Kanai, who leads a popular patisserie known for its cakes that allow you to "taste the aroma," collaborated with Ebisu's "As" at last month's French exhibition, creating a delightful parfait. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera that day and missed capturing the moment. To make up for it, I recently tried their new parfait, which is generously filled with seasonal citrus fruits. The "Coup Agrume" parfait featured a combination of pomelo, blood orange, and fromage blanc cheese, creating a sharp and tangy flavor profile. The thick pomelo chunks provided a nice texture, while the citrus jelly and smooth passion fruit sorbet added an extra kick of acidity. Layers of yogurt sorbet, along with a hint of Japanese black tea crumble, offered a delightful change in aroma. Served in a large glass, the parfait was filled with an abundance of fresh citrus fruits, making me feel like I was nourishing my body with plenty of nutrients. They also offer a "Parfait Glace" based on chocolate for those who prefer a different flavor profile.

Continuation of Tokyo sweets travel☆ On April 8, 2023, I visited INFINI! Revisiting a delicious sweets shop on my Tokyo trip☆ INFINI means "infinite" in French♪ A shop that I would definitely frequent if it were near my home. The specialty at INFINI is the Parfum Mariage, where you can enjoy a glamorous scent. It features bergamot as the main flavor, with jasmine and rose creme brulee and hidden strawberry jelly. The scent that comes beyond imagination is truly enchanting. The Frantan Fraises is a strawberry mousse with strawberry jelly and tonka creme brulee inside. Topped with Chantilly framboise for a spring-like color♪ The fluffy mousse has an airy texture! There is a cake shop near Kuhonbutsu Station on the Oimachi Line. There is also a famous bakery called "Comun" nearby. These sweets were received for White Day. *Millefeuille Leger *Gâteau au Chocolat Classique *Cream Puff The name of the spherical mousse-like sweet is unknown. All of them are high-quality sweets with a refined sweetness. The packaging was also secure, so nothing got damaged.

It's a very stylish and delicious cake shop. It was amazing. Today I had a chocolate cake, and I also bought macarons, financiers, and other treats as souvenirs. They were all very smooth and delicious. They go really well with tea.

I visited on a Sunday afternoon. The place wasn't too crowded for a Sunday, so it was easy to get in. They were having a Strawberry Fair that day, so I bought a strawberry mille-feuille and some other cakes to take home. The colorful cakes had a sophisticated taste, and with each bite, happiness welled up inside me. It's amazing that there are so many shops like this in Tokyo where you can buy without waiting in line. I would even wait in line for these cakes. Thank you for the delicious treats. I purchased Assortimon Petit (navy can) for ¥2,528. Inside, there is a Viennese chocolate made with Ota-san's precious Amazon cacao, with a saltiness that enhances the smooth melt-in-your-mouth texture. There are also sablés made with Tosa Japanese black tea, vanilla cookies inspired by a crescent moon with a delicate melt-in-your-mouth texture, and meringue confections with a vibrant aroma of Tosa bergamot, accentuated by the acidity of passion fruit. Each item is delicious, but the Amazon cacao stands out with its fruity characteristics. The bergamot also has a wonderful fragrance. They were also selling it at Meijiya in Futakotamagawa.

I walked from Jiyugaoka Station. I passed by Paris Seveille and Maji de Chocolat. What a wonderful sweets town! I arrived at the destination. It was mid-morning on a weekday. There was no line, but customers kept coming in. There were many women in their 40s. This place looks promising! I ordered a Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc for 810 yen including tax. The price for a single cake is quite high these days! But I have no choice. I decided to try it. Although other cakes looked tempting, I was drawn to the roasted green tea-scented Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc. I love Mont Blanc and often choose it, but this combination is rare. The base was a crunchy cookie with roasted green tea leaves. It had whipped cream, custard(?), candied chestnuts, and chestnut cream. The roasted green tea aroma was strong from the first bite. My taste buds got a bit numb halfway through, but the roasted green tea scent came back at the end with the crunchy cookie. It was a cake that seemed well thought out. I would like to try other cakes as well.

This is a patisserie located in Okusawa. The owner chef, Mr. Kanai, offers elegant and beautiful pastries. Since its opening, it has been a popular shop supported by local residents. Opened in January 2020. Mr. Kanai is a talented chef patissier who worked at UN GRAIN. He has opened a store in Matsuya Ginza and also produces a cafe in Sakurashinmachi. The location is about 2-3 minutes from Kuhonbutsu Station towards Jiyugaoka. It is on the first floor of a building along Tokorozawa Street, with white walls and blue shades, a glass-fronted store. It is also within walking distance from Jiyugaoka Station. I visited in the morning. There were 1-2 customers ahead of me. I was able to take my time choosing pastries as customers came and went. The store is spacious, with fresh pastries and Venoiseries in front, and baked goods on the street side. The seasonal fruit pastries are beautiful and attractive. The service was friendly and polite. I purchased the following items (prices include tax). ● Parfum (600 yen) - Specialty. A fragrant and elegant pastry with white spheres sprinkled with rose petals. The white mousse wrapped in jelly uses Yuzu from Tosa. Inside, there is jasmine and rose brulee, and strawberry jelly (Yuzu). The balance of sweetness, acidity, and aroma is excellent, with a refreshing aftertaste that exudes an adult atmosphere. ● Japanese Chestnut Mont Blanc (750 yen) - A Mont Blanc with Japanese chestnuts topped with hojicha. Under the Japanese chestnut paste are cream, custard cream, chestnut confit cookies, and coconut flavor. The Japanese chestnut cream is rich and moderately sweet. The bitterness of hojicha complements the sweetness of the chestnut paste, giving it a rich yet light feel. ● Cheesecake (320 yen) - A rich cheesecake made with Yuzu from Kochi Prefecture. Although smaller than the other fresh pastries, it has a rich flavor and texture. The acidity of Yuzu gives it a refreshing taste. The following are baked goods. Classic pastries with nuts and fruits added, unique to this shop. ● Grand Peanuts (300 yen) - A madeleine with chopped peanuts. Shelf life is about 4 weeks. Ingredients: Eggs (domestic), flour, butter, cream, dairy products, sugar, peanuts, corn syrup, starch, soy flour, baking powder (contains eggs, wheat, dairy, soybeans, peanuts). ● Grand Amande (300 yen) - An almond-flavored madeleine. Shelf life is about 4 weeks. Ingredients: Egg whites (domestic), almonds, butter, sugar, flour, condensed milk, rum, salt, trehalose (contains dairy, eggs, wheat, almonds). ● Sable Erable Orange (100g, 800 yen) - A sable with orange peel kneaded in. Shelf life is about 4 weeks. Ingredients: Flour (domestic), butter, maple sugar, almonds, eggs, salt, orange (contains dairy, wheat, eggs, almonds). "Parfum" lived up to its name as a specialty. I was interested in the fruit tarts and shortcakes made with seasonal fruits, so I plan to revisit.

At this time of year, they have a Mont Blanc dessert made with Japanese chestnuts. I was drawn to the "Japanese chestnuts" part, but I didn't read the description carefully, so I was surprised to find out it had a roasted green tea flavor. I had imagined a gentle taste of Japanese chestnuts, so it was unexpected for me, but it had a mature taste, more like a Japanese confectionery, and made me want to enjoy it with Japanese tea or matcha rather than black tea. Personally, I prefer a regular Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc, but unintentionally discovering a new flavor has expanded my taste preferences, which is great.

Peach Melba Shaved Ice, 1296 yen I had been curious about this patisserie for a while. When I passed by, I noticed that they also serve shaved ice, and they have a limited-time peach flavor. Excited, I decided to check it out. Inside the store, there were various desserts like cakes, pastries, and bread. The shaved ice can be enjoyed standing inside the store or sitting on a small bench outside. I arrived at 11:20 and asked if I could order the shaved ice. The staff said it was fine to stand inside, so I proceeded. At 11:27, the shaved ice was served in a somewhat unstable container, so I had to be careful. The presentation was beautiful, with cream, caramelized almonds, and peach compote. When I tasted it, the sweetness was subtle, but the peach flavor in the compote and the rich, creamy fromage cream were delightful. The bitterness of the caramelized almonds complemented the flavors perfectly. There was also condensed milk cream and a different colored sauce inside, showing the attention to detail of a patisserie. Personally, I found the interplay between sweetness and the caramelized almonds to be wonderfully delicious. I would like to try their petit gateau next time.

First visit to "INFINI". I had been curious about it for a while, so I went to buy some petit gateaux for a senior colleague's celebration. It's not far from Kyuhonmabashi Station, so the access is good. I bought the following items: - Tart Saison Agrumes - Gateau Chocolat Classic - Parfum - Mini Mango Tart - Baba Armagnac - Chou Cream - Lemon Pudding We shared them among three people and had a luxurious tea time. This time, the Baba Armagnac was a personal favorite! While rum is a common choice for Baba, using Armagnac gives it a more elegant finish. The Chou Cream was also delightful with a generous amount of cream overflowing. All the cakes were delicious, and it's no wonder they're popular. Actually, I missed trying the specialty Parfum, so I'll make sure to go back next time to buy it along with some baked goods. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

This is a patisserie located right next to Kuhonbutsu Station. It has a clean and modern storefront, with the word "ice" written at the entrance, indicating that they also serve shaved ice in the summer. Inside the store, the showcase is beautifully decorated, resembling a flower garden or miniature garden. The cakes are arranged in a unique and irregular way, making it difficult to choose just one. After much deliberation, I settled on three items: - Parfum Speciality @ 648 yen: A visually stunning cake with a berry-flavored jelly inside and a bergamot-scented mousse on the outside. The glossy jelly coating and the syrup-soaked sponge at the bottom added to the delightful flavors. - Jardin Fleurie @ 702 yen: A purple cake adorned with a mini pansy flower. The cake had a similar structure to the Parfum, with strong blackberry and cassis flavors along with hints of lavender and geranium, creating a floral sensation in the mouth. - Crafty Fruit Rouge @ 626 yen: A tart with rhubarb, red fruit compote, custard, and butter, offering a harmonious blend of sweetness and acidity. The flavors were delicate, and when all the components were eaten together, it created a mesmerizing aroma in the mouth. Overall, the cakes at this patisserie were unique and elegant, providing a brief escape from the everyday hustle and bustle into a more refined and graceful atmosphere.

Mini Mango Tart ¥677 A Lemon Tart topped with plenty of ripe mini mangoes from Kochi. Delicious! Chocolat Eté ¥648 A combination of refreshing herb-scented jelly, mango mousse, and cocoa panna cotta. It was so light and tasty that I finished it in no time. The chef's dedication to using high-quality fruits and herbs really shines through, making it delicious every time.

I sometimes use this place. There are more and more new shops opening around here. Jiyugaoka is undergoing a lot of redevelopment and seems to be transforming again. I don't want to queue up for Paris Seveiyu, and Mont Saint Clair is a bit far. This place is just right. It's easy to see from the outside, so you can easily tell how much cake is left. By the way, I wonder if the nearby summer limited ice cream shop is still open. Oh, was it called Lalyush? It was delicious. I'll check it out again soon. Organico is also gone. The lemon cake and cheesecake I recently had were refreshing because it's getting hot. The lemon cake had meringue on top, lemon cream in the middle, and sponge cake. The taste was similar to the flavor of the snacks I used to eat as a child. It came in a small cup and I ate it with a wooden spoon. I think it was 10 yen. Was it this kind of acidity? This one was over 600 yen. Of course, the effort and time are different, but it somehow tasted nostalgic. The cheesecake was okay. But patisseries seem to be overly highly rated and there's a kind of gap, you know.

I entered the restaurant at 11:50 am on a regular day, with no other customers inside. It was a place I had always wanted to visit. I hurried there during my lunch break with an umbrella in hand, and was delighted to see a wide variety of options to choose from. After looking around, I focused on the custard cream in the cream puff. Priced at 302 yen, it seemed like a great deal. I chose that and carefully walked back to my workplace to enjoy it. The cream puff had almond mixed into the choux pastry, giving it a wonderful flavor and aroma. The generous amount of custard cream was cold, creamy, and had a satisfying thickness. It was delicious and had a high quality. I savored it by scooping the cream with the choux pastry lid, eating it like a tart. It was so delicious that I will definitely come back for more and even buy some for my colleagues. Despite its luxurious taste, it was reasonably priced. I look forward to trying out other menu items in the future. Thank you for the delicious treat!

Sakura Pudding ¥453. The impression was that there was a long line, but when I visited around 4 PM on Friday, there was no one and I could enter smoothly. It's cherry blossom season, so there were cute cakes in a light pink color lined up. The smooth and creamy pudding is so smooth that it melts in your mouth! The rich cherry blossom cream with sweet and sour strawberry sauce is irresistible. The salty taste of cherry blossom flowers is amazing.
