I went to see the musical "Me, Her, and the Melancholic Umbrella" that was performed here in March and May. It is a cafe story set in Jiyugaoka Plus, with promotions for Singapore chicken. Unlike regular musicals that start around noon or 1 pm, this one is a morning musical starting at 10 am and ending at 11 am. After the show, you can explore Jiyugaoka, Futakotamagawa, or Shibuya. Since it is performed in a cafe, you can enjoy the show while sipping on a drink, and the performers are very close, creating a great sense of presence. They perform musicals regularly every two months, and it will be one year in July!

Located just past the Kyuhonbutsu River Green Path south of Jiyugaoka Station. It's the street that leads to Okusawa. This used to be the second branch of Jiyugaoka Plus that was on Gakuen Street. It seems that the system has changed a bit after the pandemic. The opening hours have been delayed and the morning service that used to be available is no longer there, which is a shame. The interior of the restaurant is very spacious. There are 1F and 2F, but even just 1F is quite large. There are also many seats and the high ceiling makes it feel very spacious. And it's usually empty. I visited three times in the morning, lunchtime, and teatime, and it was always empty. It's rare to find a café that is so spacious and always empty near Jiyugaoka Station. They hold regular events such as rakugo performances, so it may be full at those times. It's usually empty. You place your order and pay at a touch panel in advance. Electronic payment is smooth. If you pay with cash, you settle at a separate counter. The use of the store is limited to 2 hours. There were about three staff members in charge of the hall, but with few customers and self-service, the staff seemed idle, chatting together and not paying much attention to the hall. I ordered a café latte for 638 yen. With self-service and this quality, the price felt high. But since it's empty, I end up coming here when I feel like a café refugee. Since cafés in Jiyugaoka are always crowded, if you want to relax in a spacious and empty place, this is a good choice. The second-floor seats have plenty of power outlets, making it suitable for working on a PC.

When I went on Saturday morning, there were almost no people, which was nice! Maybe because of COVID... It was a bit disappointing that they had a 2-hour limit due to COVID, but it was a comfortable place and I would recommend it for digital nomads... However, I thought the Wi-Fi was weak.

I used it for lunchtime! It's nice that you can easily pop in without it being crowded, and the food comes out very quickly. The curry here is delicious, so I come to eat it occasionally. They have seating for both individuals and groups, making it a good place to work, have a meal, or chat with friends. 👌

I visited during lunchtime on a regular day. Due to the pandemic, the place was empty. I was assigned a seat in a spacious area and had to pre-order and pay before sitting down. I ordered the Singapore Chicken set. It was not quite like the typical Singaporean Hainanese chicken rice, so if you expect that, you might be a bit disappointed. However, if you think of it as a general steamed chicken rice set, it would match your expectations. Overall, if you're looking for a place to quickly sit down and eat lunch, this place is different from the high-quality options nearby.

I decided to buy a souvenir from this place because I had a good experience dining in before. The taste was just okay, a bit heavy on the oil. However, when I tried to get a takeout, it seemed like they weren't used to it. When I asked for a takeout, they seemed confused and had to use a ladder to get a box from a high shelf, put a Mont Blanc cake in it, and struggled to secure it with cellophane. I realized that even if they secured the paper, the cake was not fixed, so when I opened the box, the cake rolled to the side. It's a good thing I wasn't buying it as a gift or for someone other than my family. It took 10 minutes from ordering a Mont Blanc cake to leaving the store. The customer service for takeout was not very good.

I ordered the new Poire Marron cake, which was delicate, lightly sweet, soft, and had a great texture. It was really delicious. The restaurant is a bit lacking in welcoming atmosphere due to being overly cautious about COVID-19, but the dining area is spacious and has a nice ambiance.

A cafe bar a few minutes' walk from Jiyugaoka Station South Exit. I used it on a holiday afternoon. I wanted to do some work, so I tried going to Starbucks and Excelsior Cafe near the station, but they were all full, so I came here. I ordered an iced Americano on the 1st floor (550 yen including tax). I received it and moved to a seat on the 2nd floor. The interior of the store is surprisingly spacious for Jiyugaoka, with plenty of seats and high ceilings. I was able to work comfortably with the free wifi. It seems like a hidden gem cafe in Jiyugaoka for working. I will visit again. Thank you for the meal.

It is located near the Mari Claire Street, just outside the south exit of Jiyugaoka. The café space is on the second floor and the interior is spacious, creating a relaxing atmosphere. There is a working space available (with outlets) where people can spread out their laptops and documents. It is limited to a 2-hour stay. Personally, I find the atmosphere very comfortable, making it one of the few places I enjoy going to alone. Surprisingly, it has become one of my favorite spots ❤️ The food is delicious as well! ✨

Recently, I have gained new clients and have been coming to Jiyugaoka more often. It's an area I'm not very familiar with, so I look forward to discovering good shops in the future. Today, I had a meeting with one of those clients, and the designated meeting place was "Jiyugaoka Plus Minami-guchi Store". To get there, you exit the south exit of Tokyu Jiyugaoka Station, head east on Maricler Street, turn right at the first intersection, cross the Kuhonbutsu River Green Road, and it will be on your left. Upon entering, there is a counter where the staff will assist you. Although it's a pre-payment system, you pay at the self-checkout and the staff will bring your order to your table. I ordered a hot cafe latte. I was given a number stand and went upstairs. The second floor had a completely different atmosphere. The floor was all wooden flooring, with tables, chairs, and furnishings made mostly of wood. Despite the indirect lighting, sunlight came in through the windows, creating a lovely ambiance. Notably, the space was quite large. There were over 10 large tables lined up, and it wasn't too crowded. The window seats had power outlets and Wi-Fi was available. Inside, there were businessmen having meetings, people working on laptops, students studying, and women enjoying tea parties, each using the space in their own way. It's a very convenient cafe as it's close to the station. As for the cafe latte, it was served in a heat-resistant glass cup and there was plenty of it. The taste was average, but the generous portion makes it suitable for long meetings. I will definitely use this cafe for meetings and time adjustments in the future. I also noticed a sign for "Morning Rakugo" displayed outside. It seems interesting to have rakugo performances in such a stylish cafe in the morning. I didn't have the chance to check it out today as I was with a client, but I will look into it next time. The bill came to 638 yen. Thank you for the meal!

A child-friendly restaurant where you can always find a seat. We were able to get in easily during lunchtime when everywhere else was crowded. This is very convenient for those with children! You buy tickets first before going upstairs. I ordered the Thai chicken rice. It comes with coffee for only 100 yen, which is a great deal. The service was fast, and the food was delicious. The chicken was tender and juicy without any fatty parts. It's a taste that women would enjoy. The interior is not fancy, but there are plenty of seats available. On the second floor, the owner, an older gentleman, manages the seating. It may be a bit challenging if you have a baby stroller. Also, seating may be a bit restrictive if you have a stroller. But overall, the fact that you can easily get in on weekends is a big plus, so I would give it a rating of 3.5!

I went to the "Jiyugaoka Plus Minamiguchi" in Jiyugaoka, where an open piano event was held on Mondays from 6 pm. The location is about a 5-minute walk from Jiyugaoka Station South Exit on the 2nd floor. Inside the restaurant, there is a Yamaha C3 grand piano, and the restaurant has about 100 seats, which was quite spacious and surprising. I ordered a glass of white wine for 600 yen and Singapore chicken for 1300 yen from the menu at the counter. Payment can only be made with Paypay or cash, as credit cards are not accepted. Before the food was served, I played a Chopin Nocturne on the piano, and the sound was wonderful in the spacious room. I enjoyed the white wine and the delicious Singapore chicken and rice, which were of higher quality than expected. The staff mentioned that they plan to start various piano-related events in the future, which I am looking forward to. Jiyugaoka Plus Minamiguchi is a stylish restaurant with a spacious and trendy interior, delicious food, and an open piano event on Mondays, making it highly recommended. In front of Jiyugaoka GAP, there is a long and narrow shop. You can also eat on the second floor, so if you go up the stairs next to it, you will be surprised by the spaciousness. They also hold regular rakugo (traditional Japanese comic storytelling) performances, with a special area set up for the performer. I ordered a summer limited shaved ice. The Blue Hawaii flavor had a beautiful contrast between the yellow pineapple, red cherry, and blue syrup. The shaved ice here was fluffy in texture. There are two Plus locations in Jiyugaoka, and both have clean and well-maintained restrooms.

It is located a little off the promenade in Jiyugaoka. The first thing that surprised me was the payment system. You pay with a machine like a food ticket machine. It was evening when I visited, so I ordered beer and potatoes. They bring your order to the second floor seating. I was amazed when I went upstairs. It's incredibly spacious. Most people were either working or studying. Most seats along the walls have power outlets, and of course, you can use Wi-Fi. It's spacious with high ceilings, making it a great environment for work. Also, the fried potatoes were delicious, made with fluffy potatoes and seemed homemade. I definitely want to use this place again.

I had quiche for brunch at City Bakery in December 2018, and after finishing up my errands, I was looking for a light lunch spot. I wanted a place with a relaxed atmosphere and ample time to stay, so I chose the Jiyugaoka Plus Minami-guchi branch. There were a few other options, but with the year-end crowds and popular menu items selling out, I decided to try something new for lunch. I usually just go to cafes, so this was my first time having lunch there. I ordered the coffee and spaghetti at the coffee shop. The price was reasonable, and the quality was even better. The noodles were cooked just right - not too hard like al dente, but not too soft either. I'm interested in trying other dishes, so I might come back for lunch again.

Located a 2-minute walk from the south exit of Jiyugaoka Station (near Melsa), this cafe is a large establishment. The first floor has about 10 seats, but the second floor can accommodate 100 seats. It is less crowded than Starbucks or Excelsior Cafe, making it a much more comfortable place to relax. Choose a dessert from the showcase on the first floor, pay at the automatic payment machine, and enjoy. I chose the following item from the limited options available: [Chocolate Tart, ¥680]. It didn't look very impressive, so my expectations were low. But surprisingly, it was quite delicious. The chocolate whipped cream had a mild sweetness, with a cocoa richness and slight bitterness. The custard whipped cream underneath provided sweetness and richness, combining well with the chocolate cream for a nicely balanced sweetness. The base tart, while lacking crispiness, had a good almond filling that was rich and sweet. The cheap impression was mainly due to the cheap chocolate sponge on the edges, which could be replaced with something like ganache or berries, or simply removed. Overall, it's a convenient place with a rating of 3.7 (food/atmosphere 3.8, value 3.5).

Cake buffet mania Amako's cake buffet at a cafe in Jiyugaoka♪ * The system when I used it is as follows: ♦️Event: Held every day, no reservation required ♦️Time: Reception from 12:00 to 19:00 (90-minute limit) ♦️Price (tax included): 2500 yen ♦️Lineup [Cakes]: Fruit milk crepe / Tart Mont Blanc / Berry tart / Lemon tart / Chocolate tart / Double cheese / Baked cheese / Tiramisu / Pumpkin cream tart / Baked banana tart / Earl Grey tart / Carrot cake / Choux cream / Cheese choux cream / Macaron 4 types [Light snacks]: Pizza / Whole wheat croissant / Cream of mushroom soup / Onion soup ♦️Drinks: Coffee (hot or iced) / Tea (hot or iced) / Various flavored teas / Orange / Kombu tea ○Large cafe cake buffet ○Held every day ○Payment in advance ○All-you-can-eat cake and light snacks from the showcase (order on weekdays) ○All-you-can-drink self-service drinks ○Light snacks and soup are also available Located near Jiyugaoka Station South Exit, the cafe "Jiyugaoka Plus" is a two-story large cafe with 100 seats, which is rare in the city despite not being a major chain store. This cake buffet is held every day! Quite a challenging setup that you wouldn't expect in the city. Intrigued, I visited the cafe promptly. First, payment at the register. With a payment machine available, you pay in advance (electronic money is also accepted) and then enter the cafe. The buffet customers are on the first floor, while regular customers are on the second floor. You are given a plate and a fancy glass set for the buffet to begin. You can freely take items from the refrigerated showcase for the buffet (according to a friend who visited later, on weekdays, you can order three items from the showcase at a time through the staff). The cakes, including macarons, seemed to be mass-produced ordered items commonly seen in other cafes, so I thought they might be from UCC or similar. However, do not underestimate them! They were quite delicious. In my opinion, these cakes were tastier than those from a popular confectionery chain like Fujiya. The quality has improved significantly, and the cakes are at a level that is not inferior to those found in general cafes. I do not have a 100% negative image of ordered items. Although the excitement may not be as high, if they are this delicious, it is sufficient. It is acceptable even for cafe use. After all, cafe cakes from large coffee chain stores are like that, right? No problem here♪ Not only cakes but also savory items♪ I thought the two soups were from Campbell's. I love the taste of white mushroom soup in winter. The whole wheat croissant and pizza can be reheated in the built-in oven, so you can enjoy them warm with the delicious soup. Overall, it was a satisfying cake buffet in the prime location of Jiyugaoka in the city. Jiyugaoka is famous for its cake buffets, with Dalloyau being well-known, offering a more special experience. However, you can just walk in when you feel like it. It's a casual cake buffet that you can enjoy, which is nice⚑*゚

This café, located near the green path in Jiyugaoka, is actually a branch of Jiyugaoka Plus located a little further away. This branch is larger in size. I visited here at the end of summer, when the scorching heat returned, feeling exhausted. I felt like having a beer. In Jiyugaoka, there are few places where you can have beer in the afternoon. There are plenty of places where you can order beer as part of lunch drinks, but not just beer. You place your order and pay on the 1st floor. The order is taken by a staff member, but the payment is done by a machine, which felt less like a café. I thought it would be better to have a ticket machine. I ordered a Kirin Ichiban Shibori small for 480 yen (tax included). The staff brought it to me later. The 2nd floor has a spacious area with tables of various sizes, and on this day, the curtains were drawn, giving it a dim atmosphere. The beer they brought me wasn't anything special, but beer on a hot day is exceptional. I enjoyed it. I had some things to discuss, so I stayed for a while. The beer was gone in no time, so I added a hot café au lait for 480 yen and an iced café au lait for 480 yen. You place your order on the 1st floor. By early afternoon, this spacious café was filling up. It seems to be thriving due to its convenient location and casual atmosphere. They also serve lunch and shaved ice. A valuable café where you can enjoy just beer from noon. It seems to have a wide range of uses. Thank you for the meal.

I felt like stopping by a cafe and happened to walk into this one. Inside, you can choose between cashless payment with a touch panel or paying with cash. I ordered a blend coffee (HOT only) for 550 yen. It's on the cheaper side for Jiyugaoka. The taste was okay. This cafe is more suited for those who want to relax without focusing too much on the coffee.
